INFORMAZIONI SU QUESTO EPISODIO
HOLY CRAP—West Virginia may have just received the eligibility breakthrough it desperately needed!
A federal judge has issued a class-wide preliminary injunction protecting qualifying Division I athletes who began competing during the 2022–23 academic year, completed four seasons and were excluded from the NCAA’s new five-year eligibility structure.
That could mean Brenan Lorient and Jayvan Buchanan are available for Ross Hodge and WVU basketball—while Fred Perry and Eddie Kelly Jr. could return to reinforce Zac Alley’s WVU defense. Jordan Scruggs could also benefit if his eligibility timeline places him within the protected class.
In this episode, we break down exactly what the judge ruled, which WVU players appear to qualify, why this is much bigger than an individual TRO and what the NCAA could still do next. This is a preliminary injunction rather than a final judgment, but unless the order is stayed, narrowed or overturned, the NCAA must comply.
WVU football and basketball may have changed overnight. Did they really ALL win?! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See https://pcm.adswizz.com
