Emily: welcome to immerse: the
daily bible reading experience.
00:00:03.000 --> 00:00:04.500
day 300 and 31
00:00:05.025 --> 00:00:10.515
Now the Philistines attacked Israel
and the men of Israel fled before them.
00:00:11.235 --> 00:00:13.875
Many were slaughtered on
the slopes of Mount Gilboa.
00:00:15.045 --> 00:00:18.915
The Philistines closed in on Saul and
his sons, and they killed three of
00:00:18.915 --> 00:00:23.145
his sons, Jonathan Abab and Mal Kahua.
00:00:23.985 --> 00:00:28.155
The fighting grew very fierce around
Saul and the Philistine Archers
00:00:28.155 --> 00:00:29.825
caught up with him and wounded him.
00:00:30.945 --> 00:00:36.855
Saul groaned to his armor bearer, take
your sword and kill me before these pagan
00:00:36.855 --> 00:00:39.795
Philistines come to taunt and torture me.
00:00:41.025 --> 00:00:44.205
But his armor bearer was
afraid and would not do it.
00:00:45.135 --> 00:00:48.105
So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
00:00:49.515 --> 00:00:53.565
When his armor bearer realized
that Saul was dead, he fell
00:00:53.565 --> 00:00:55.275
on his own sword and died.
00:00:56.085 --> 00:00:59.415
So Saul and his three
sons died there together.
00:01:00.030 --> 00:01:02.010
Bringing his dynasty to an end.
00:01:03.840 --> 00:01:08.430
When all the Israelites in the Jezreel
Valley saw that their army had fled
00:01:08.730 --> 00:01:13.680
and that Saul and his sons were dead,
they abandoned their towns and fled.
00:01:14.550 --> 00:01:18.000
So the Philistines moved in
and occupied their towns.
00:01:19.200 --> 00:01:24.630
The next day when the Philistines went out
to strip the dead, they found the bodies
00:01:24.630 --> 00:01:27.270
of Saul and his sons on Mount Gilboa.
00:01:28.590 --> 00:01:31.530
So they stripped off Saul's
armor and cut off his head.
00:01:32.400 --> 00:01:36.240
Then they proclaimed the good news
of Saul's death before their idols.
00:01:36.570 --> 00:01:41.310
And to the people throughout the land
of Philistia, they placed his armor
00:01:41.310 --> 00:01:45.810
in the temple of their gods and they
fastened his head to the temple of Degan.
00:01:47.310 --> 00:01:51.480
But when everyone in J Besch, Gilead
heard about everything the Philistines
00:01:51.480 --> 00:01:56.190
had done to Saul, All their mighty
warriors brought the bodies of
00:01:56.190 --> 00:01:58.560
Saul and his sons back to j Besh.
00:01:59.370 --> 00:02:02.760
Then they buried their bones
beneath the Great tree at j Besh
00:02:03.240 --> 00:02:05.460
and they fasted for seven days.
00:02:06.750 --> 00:02:10.170
So Saul died because he
was unfaithful to the Lord.
00:02:10.830 --> 00:02:16.050
He failed to obey the Lord's command
and he even consulted a medium instead
00:02:16.050 --> 00:02:17.880
of asking the Lord for guidance.
00:02:18.720 --> 00:02:23.460
So the Lord killed him and turned the
kingdom over to David, son of Jesse.
00:02:26.130 --> 00:02:31.440
Then all Israel gathered before
David at Hein and told him, we
00:02:31.440 --> 00:02:33.390
are your own flesh and blood.
00:02:33.900 --> 00:02:39.390
In the past, even when Saul was king, you
were the one who really led the forces
00:02:39.390 --> 00:02:42.660
of Israel and the Lord your God told you.
00:02:43.170 --> 00:02:45.870
You will be the shepherd
of my people, Israel.
00:02:46.410 --> 00:02:49.320
You will be the leader
of my people, Israel.
00:02:50.400 --> 00:02:55.290
So there at Hein, David made a
covenant before the Lord with all the
00:02:55.295 --> 00:03:00.930
elders of Israel and they anointed
him King of Israel, just as the
00:03:00.930 --> 00:03:02.850
Lord had promised through Samuel.
00:03:04.650 --> 00:03:10.470
Then David and all Israel went to
Jerusalem or GBIs as it used to be called.
00:03:11.085 --> 00:03:15.315
Where the GBU sites, the original
inhabitants of the land were living.
00:03:16.095 --> 00:03:17.955
The people of Gbas taunted.
00:03:17.955 --> 00:03:23.955
David saying, you'll never get in here,
but David captured the fortress of Zion,
00:03:24.315 --> 00:03:26.565
which is now called the city of David.
00:03:26.795 --> 00:03:32.835
David had said to his troops, whoever
is first to attack the GBU sites will
00:03:32.835 --> 00:03:34.965
become the commander of my armies.
00:03:35.865 --> 00:03:42.075
And Joab, the son of David's sister,
Zaia, was first to attack, so he
00:03:42.075 --> 00:03:44.145
became the commander of David's armies.
00:03:45.705 --> 00:03:50.745
David made the fortress his home, and that
is why it is called the City of David.
00:03:51.105 --> 00:03:57.135
He extended the city from the supporting
terraces to the surrounding area while
00:03:57.135 --> 00:04:03.285
Joab rebuilt the rest of Jerusalem, and
David became more and more powerful.
00:04:04.035 --> 00:04:07.035
Because the Lord of Heaven's
armies was with him.
00:04:08.865 --> 00:04:14.505
These are the leaders of David's mighty
warriors together with all Israel.
00:04:14.505 --> 00:04:18.165
They decided to make David
their king, just as the Lord
00:04:18.170 --> 00:04:20.145
had promised concerning Israel.
00:04:22.305 --> 00:04:25.395
Here is the record of
David's mightiest warriors.
00:04:26.085 --> 00:04:30.975
The first was Jjo, the Hackman
Knight, who was leader of the three.
00:04:31.365 --> 00:04:36.585
The mightiest warriors among David's
men, he once used his spirit to kill
00:04:36.585 --> 00:04:39.525
300 enemy warriors in a single battle.
00:04:40.725 --> 00:04:47.115
Next in rank, among the three was Zer,
son of Dodi, a descendant of a hoa.
00:04:47.775 --> 00:04:49.035
He was with David.
00:04:49.035 --> 00:04:53.355
When the Philistines gathered for
battle at pass dam him and attacked the
00:04:53.355 --> 00:04:55.515
Israelites in a field full of barley.
00:04:56.175 --> 00:04:57.795
The Israelite army fled.
00:04:58.230 --> 00:05:03.060
But Zer and David held their ground in
the middle of the field and beat back
00:05:03.060 --> 00:05:08.130
the Philistines, so the Lord saved
them by giving them a great victory.
00:05:09.060 --> 00:05:13.980
Once when David was at the rock near
the cave of Duam, the Philistine
00:05:14.040 --> 00:05:20.430
army was camped in the valley of em,
the three who were among the 30, an
00:05:20.430 --> 00:05:24.630
elite group among David's fighting
men went down to meet him there.
00:05:25.875 --> 00:05:30.555
David was staying in the stronghold at
the time, and a Philistine detachment
00:05:30.555 --> 00:05:32.475
had occupied the town of Bethlehem.
00:05:33.765 --> 00:05:39.585
David remarked longingly to his men, oh,
how I would love some of that good water
00:05:39.585 --> 00:05:41.985
from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.
00:05:43.215 --> 00:05:48.195
So the three broke through the Philistine
lines, drew some water from the well by
00:05:48.195 --> 00:05:54.525
the gate in Bethlehem and brought it back
to David, but David refused to drink it.
00:05:55.080 --> 00:05:58.440
Instead, he poured it out
as an offering to the Lord.
00:05:59.370 --> 00:06:01.860
God forbid that I should drink this.
00:06:01.890 --> 00:06:07.290
He exclaimed This water is as precious
as the blood of these men who risked
00:06:07.290 --> 00:06:08.970
their lives to bring it to me.
00:06:09.960 --> 00:06:11.550
So David did not drink it.
00:06:12.750 --> 00:06:17.760
These are examples of the
exploits of the three ab Bye shy.
00:06:17.940 --> 00:06:21.150
The brother of Joab was
the leader of the 30.
00:06:22.035 --> 00:06:26.925
He once used his spear to kill 300
enemy warriors in a single battle.
00:06:27.825 --> 00:06:31.455
It was by such feats that he
became as famous as the three.
00:06:32.565 --> 00:06:36.705
Ab Bahai was the most famous of
the 30 and was their commander,
00:06:37.155 --> 00:06:38.835
though he was not one of the three.
00:06:39.885 --> 00:06:45.315
There was also bene son of JE Joah
a, a valiant warrior from zeo.
00:06:46.215 --> 00:06:51.045
He did many heroic deeds, which
included killing two champions of Moab.
00:06:51.855 --> 00:06:56.775
Another time on a snowy day, he
chased a lion down into a pit and
00:06:56.775 --> 00:07:00.525
killed it once armed only with a club.
00:07:00.735 --> 00:07:04.815
He killed an Egyptian warrior who
was seven and a half feet tall,
00:07:05.235 --> 00:07:08.505
and who was armed with a spear
as thick as a weaver's beam.
00:07:09.735 --> 00:07:13.485
Bene wrenched the spear from the
Egyptians hand and killed him with it.
00:07:14.565 --> 00:07:18.915
Deeds like these made Benet as famous
as the three mightiest warriors.
00:07:19.545 --> 00:07:23.355
He was more honored than the other
members of the 30, though he was
00:07:23.355 --> 00:07:27.945
not one of the three, and David
made him captain of his bodyguard.
00:07:29.535 --> 00:07:33.825
David's Mighty Warriors
also included Ashel.
00:07:34.365 --> 00:07:38.775
Jo's brother, El Hanan,
son of Dodo from Bethlehem.
00:07:39.765 --> 00:07:41.145
Shamma from Herod.
00:07:41.895 --> 00:07:46.825
HIEs from Pein Ira, son of Ike from Tekoa.
00:07:48.780 --> 00:07:59.880

From Amon Nehara.

IL and Obed CIO from Zoba.
00:09:48.810 --> 00:09:52.110
The following men joined
David at Ziklag while he was
00:09:52.110 --> 00:09:54.180
hiding from Saul, son of Kish.
00:09:54.960 --> 00:09:58.440
They were among the warriors who
fought beside David in battle.
00:09:59.220 --> 00:10:04.260
All of them were expert archers and they
could shoot arrows or sling stones with
00:10:04.260 --> 00:10:06.360
their left hand as well as their right.
00:10:07.320 --> 00:10:10.200
They were all relatives of Saul
from the tribe of Benjamin.
00:10:11.040 --> 00:10:14.700
Their leader was ajar,
son of Shema from Gya.
00:10:15.450 --> 00:10:17.880
His brother Joe Ash was second in command.
00:10:18.540 --> 00:10:24.420
These were the other Warriors,
Jelle and Ett Sons of Veth.

Berka, G Hu from Anal, Ishma
from Gibeon, a famous warrior
00:10:32.310 --> 00:10:35.880
and leader among the 30 Jeremiah.
00:10:37.260 --> 00:10:40.560
Ze, Johannan and Zeba from Gaira.
00:10:41.940 --> 00:10:43.320

00:10:46.200 --> 00:10:54.930
Aliah, and she atiya from Hara,
Elena Isha Re Joer, and Joshua
00:10:54.930 --> 00:11:01.260
Biam, who were Cora Heights, Jola
and Ze Sons of Roham from Guido.
00:11:02.895 --> 00:11:07.065
Some brave and experienced warriors
from the tribe of Gad, also
00:11:07.065 --> 00:11:10.695
defected to David while he was at
the stronghold in the wilderness.
00:11:11.385 --> 00:11:16.395
They were expert with both shield
and spear as fierce as lions and
00:11:16.395 --> 00:11:18.555
as swift as deer on the mountains.
00:11:19.725 --> 00:11:21.225
Easer was their leader.
00:11:21.935 --> 00:11:23.415
Obadiah was second.
00:11:24.255 --> 00:11:25.515
Elia was third.
00:11:26.505 --> 00:11:28.035
Mish, mana was fourth.
00:11:28.755 --> 00:11:30.165
Jeremiah was fifth.
00:11:30.990 --> 00:11:32.400
Atti was sixth.
00:11:33.360 --> 00:11:34.620
Lyle was seventh.
00:11:35.340 --> 00:11:36.720
Johannan was eighth.
00:11:37.710 --> 00:11:39.240
Zeba was ninth.
00:11:40.020 --> 00:11:41.520
Jeremiah was 10th.
00:11:42.870 --> 00:11:44.010
McNay was 11th.
00:11:45.600 --> 00:11:48.690
These warriors from GAD
were army commanders.
00:11:49.440 --> 00:11:53.220
The weakest among them could take
on a hundred regular troops and the
00:11:53.225 --> 00:11:55.170
strongest could take on a thousand.
00:11:55.785 --> 00:11:59.895
These were the men who crossed the Jordan
River during its seasonal flooding at
00:11:59.895 --> 00:12:04.275
the beginning of the year and drove out
all the people living in the lowlands
00:12:04.275 --> 00:12:06.315
on both the east and west banks.
00:12:07.785 --> 00:12:11.385
Others from Benjamin and Judah
came to David at the stronghold.
00:12:12.105 --> 00:12:16.575
David went out to meet them and said,
if you have come in peace to help
00:12:16.575 --> 00:12:21.645
me, we are friends, but if you have
come to betray me to my enemies when
00:12:21.645 --> 00:12:26.670
I am innocent, Then may the God of
our ancestors see it and punish you.
00:12:28.200 --> 00:12:32.970
Then the Spirit came upon a
Masai, the leader of the 30, and
00:12:32.970 --> 00:12:36.000
he said, we are yours, David.
00:12:36.600 --> 00:12:38.070
We are on your side.
00:12:38.075 --> 00:12:44.940
Son of Jesse, peace and prosperity be
with you and success to all who help you
00:12:45.510 --> 00:12:48.030
for your God is the one who helps you.
00:12:49.710 --> 00:12:51.540
So David, let them join him.
00:12:52.095 --> 00:12:54.405
And he made them officers over his troops.
00:12:55.365 --> 00:12:59.325
Some men from Manasa defected
from the Israelite army and joined
00:12:59.325 --> 00:13:03.225
David when he set out with the
Philistines to fight against Saul.
00:13:03.915 --> 00:13:07.755
But as it turned out, the
Philistine rulers refused to let
00:13:07.760 --> 00:13:09.525
David and his men go with them.
00:13:10.635 --> 00:13:15.195
After much discussion they sent
them back for, they said it will
00:13:15.195 --> 00:13:20.235
cost us our heads if David switches
loyalties to Saul and turns against us.
00:13:21.480 --> 00:13:26.160
Here is a list of the men from Manas who
defected to David as he was returning
00:13:26.160 --> 00:13:33.210
to Ziklag, Edna Zeba, Jel, Michael Jbad.
00:13:33.720 --> 00:13:39.540
Elihu and Zilli each commanded 1000
troops from the tribe of Manas.
00:13:40.650 --> 00:13:44.430
They helped David Chase down
bands of Raiders for they were
00:13:44.430 --> 00:13:48.300
all brave and able warriors who
became commanders in his army.
00:13:49.215 --> 00:13:55.455
Day after day, more men joined David until
he had a great army, like the army of God.

daily bible reading experience.
00:00:03.000 --> 00:00:04.500
day 300 and 31
00:00:05.025 --> 00:00:10.515
Now the Philistines attacked Israel
and the men of Israel fled before them.
00:00:11.235 --> 00:00:13.875
Many were slaughtered on
the slopes of Mount Gilboa.
00:00:15.045 --> 00:00:18.915
The Philistines closed in on Saul and
his sons, and they killed three of
00:00:18.915 --> 00:00:23.145
his sons, Jonathan Abab and Mal Kahua.
00:00:23.985 --> 00:00:28.155
The fighting grew very fierce around
Saul and the Philistine Archers
00:00:28.155 --> 00:00:29.825
caught up with him and wounded him.
00:00:30.945 --> 00:00:36.855
Saul groaned to his armor bearer, take
your sword and kill me before these pagan
00:00:36.855 --> 00:00:39.795
Philistines come to taunt and torture me.
00:00:41.025 --> 00:00:44.205
But his armor bearer was
afraid and would not do it.
00:00:45.135 --> 00:00:48.105
So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
00:00:49.515 --> 00:00:53.565
When his armor bearer realized
that Saul was dead, he fell
00:00:53.565 --> 00:00:55.275
on his own sword and died.
00:00:56.085 --> 00:00:59.415
So Saul and his three
sons died there together.
00:01:00.030 --> 00:01:02.010
Bringing his dynasty to an end.
00:01:03.840 --> 00:01:08.430
When all the Israelites in the Jezreel
Valley saw that their army had fled
00:01:08.730 --> 00:01:13.680
and that Saul and his sons were dead,
they abandoned their towns and fled.
00:01:14.550 --> 00:01:18.000
So the Philistines moved in
and occupied their towns.
00:01:19.200 --> 00:01:24.630
The next day when the Philistines went out
to strip the dead, they found the bodies
00:01:24.630 --> 00:01:27.270
of Saul and his sons on Mount Gilboa.
00:01:28.590 --> 00:01:31.530
So they stripped off Saul's
armor and cut off his head.
00:01:32.400 --> 00:01:36.240
Then they proclaimed the good news
of Saul's death before their idols.
00:01:36.570 --> 00:01:41.310
And to the people throughout the land
of Philistia, they placed his armor
00:01:41.310 --> 00:01:45.810
in the temple of their gods and they
fastened his head to the temple of Degan.
00:01:47.310 --> 00:01:51.480
But when everyone in J Besch, Gilead
heard about everything the Philistines
00:01:51.480 --> 00:01:56.190
had done to Saul, All their mighty
warriors brought the bodies of
00:01:56.190 --> 00:01:58.560
Saul and his sons back to j Besh.
00:01:59.370 --> 00:02:02.760
Then they buried their bones
beneath the Great tree at j Besh
00:02:03.240 --> 00:02:05.460
and they fasted for seven days.
00:02:06.750 --> 00:02:10.170
So Saul died because he
was unfaithful to the Lord.
00:02:10.830 --> 00:02:16.050
He failed to obey the Lord's command
and he even consulted a medium instead
00:02:16.050 --> 00:02:17.880
of asking the Lord for guidance.
00:02:18.720 --> 00:02:23.460
So the Lord killed him and turned the
kingdom over to David, son of Jesse.
00:02:26.130 --> 00:02:31.440
Then all Israel gathered before
David at Hein and told him, we
00:02:31.440 --> 00:02:33.390
are your own flesh and blood.
00:02:33.900 --> 00:02:39.390
In the past, even when Saul was king, you
were the one who really led the forces
00:02:39.390 --> 00:02:42.660
of Israel and the Lord your God told you.
00:02:43.170 --> 00:02:45.870
You will be the shepherd
of my people, Israel.
00:02:46.410 --> 00:02:49.320
You will be the leader
of my people, Israel.
00:02:50.400 --> 00:02:55.290
So there at Hein, David made a
covenant before the Lord with all the
00:02:55.295 --> 00:03:00.930
elders of Israel and they anointed
him King of Israel, just as the
00:03:00.930 --> 00:03:02.850
Lord had promised through Samuel.
00:03:04.650 --> 00:03:10.470
Then David and all Israel went to
Jerusalem or GBIs as it used to be called.
00:03:11.085 --> 00:03:15.315
Where the GBU sites, the original
inhabitants of the land were living.
00:03:16.095 --> 00:03:17.955
The people of Gbas taunted.
00:03:17.955 --> 00:03:23.955
David saying, you'll never get in here,
but David captured the fortress of Zion,
00:03:24.315 --> 00:03:26.565
which is now called the city of David.
00:03:26.795 --> 00:03:32.835
David had said to his troops, whoever
is first to attack the GBU sites will
00:03:32.835 --> 00:03:34.965
become the commander of my armies.
00:03:35.865 --> 00:03:42.075
And Joab, the son of David's sister,
Zaia, was first to attack, so he
00:03:42.075 --> 00:03:44.145
became the commander of David's armies.
00:03:45.705 --> 00:03:50.745
David made the fortress his home, and that
is why it is called the City of David.
00:03:51.105 --> 00:03:57.135
He extended the city from the supporting
terraces to the surrounding area while
00:03:57.135 --> 00:04:03.285
Joab rebuilt the rest of Jerusalem, and
David became more and more powerful.
00:04:04.035 --> 00:04:07.035
Because the Lord of Heaven's
armies was with him.
00:04:08.865 --> 00:04:14.505
These are the leaders of David's mighty
warriors together with all Israel.
00:04:14.505 --> 00:04:18.165
They decided to make David
their king, just as the Lord
00:04:18.170 --> 00:04:20.145
had promised concerning Israel.
00:04:22.305 --> 00:04:25.395
Here is the record of
David's mightiest warriors.
00:04:26.085 --> 00:04:30.975
The first was Jjo, the Hackman
Knight, who was leader of the three.
00:04:31.365 --> 00:04:36.585
The mightiest warriors among David's
men, he once used his spirit to kill
00:04:36.585 --> 00:04:39.525
300 enemy warriors in a single battle.
00:04:40.725 --> 00:04:47.115
Next in rank, among the three was Zer,
son of Dodi, a descendant of a hoa.
00:04:47.775 --> 00:04:49.035
He was with David.
00:04:49.035 --> 00:04:53.355
When the Philistines gathered for
battle at pass dam him and attacked the
00:04:53.355 --> 00:04:55.515
Israelites in a field full of barley.
00:04:56.175 --> 00:04:57.795
The Israelite army fled.
00:04:58.230 --> 00:05:03.060
But Zer and David held their ground in
the middle of the field and beat back
00:05:03.060 --> 00:05:08.130
the Philistines, so the Lord saved
them by giving them a great victory.
00:05:09.060 --> 00:05:13.980
Once when David was at the rock near
the cave of Duam, the Philistine
00:05:14.040 --> 00:05:20.430
army was camped in the valley of em,
the three who were among the 30, an
00:05:20.430 --> 00:05:24.630
elite group among David's fighting
men went down to meet him there.
00:05:25.875 --> 00:05:30.555
David was staying in the stronghold at
the time, and a Philistine detachment
00:05:30.555 --> 00:05:32.475
had occupied the town of Bethlehem.
00:05:33.765 --> 00:05:39.585
David remarked longingly to his men, oh,
how I would love some of that good water
00:05:39.585 --> 00:05:41.985
from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.
00:05:43.215 --> 00:05:48.195
So the three broke through the Philistine
lines, drew some water from the well by
00:05:48.195 --> 00:05:54.525
the gate in Bethlehem and brought it back
to David, but David refused to drink it.
00:05:55.080 --> 00:05:58.440
Instead, he poured it out
as an offering to the Lord.
00:05:59.370 --> 00:06:01.860
God forbid that I should drink this.
00:06:01.890 --> 00:06:07.290
He exclaimed This water is as precious
as the blood of these men who risked
00:06:07.290 --> 00:06:08.970
their lives to bring it to me.
00:06:09.960 --> 00:06:11.550
So David did not drink it.
00:06:12.750 --> 00:06:17.760
These are examples of the
exploits of the three ab Bye shy.
00:06:17.940 --> 00:06:21.150
The brother of Joab was
the leader of the 30.
00:06:22.035 --> 00:06:26.925
He once used his spear to kill 300
enemy warriors in a single battle.
00:06:27.825 --> 00:06:31.455
It was by such feats that he
became as famous as the three.
00:06:32.565 --> 00:06:36.705
Ab Bahai was the most famous of
the 30 and was their commander,
00:06:37.155 --> 00:06:38.835
though he was not one of the three.
00:06:39.885 --> 00:06:45.315
There was also bene son of JE Joah
a, a valiant warrior from zeo.
00:06:46.215 --> 00:06:51.045
He did many heroic deeds, which
included killing two champions of Moab.
00:06:51.855 --> 00:06:56.775
Another time on a snowy day, he
chased a lion down into a pit and
00:06:56.775 --> 00:07:00.525
killed it once armed only with a club.
00:07:00.735 --> 00:07:04.815
He killed an Egyptian warrior who
was seven and a half feet tall,
00:07:05.235 --> 00:07:08.505
and who was armed with a spear
as thick as a weaver's beam.
00:07:09.735 --> 00:07:13.485
Bene wrenched the spear from the
Egyptians hand and killed him with it.
00:07:14.565 --> 00:07:18.915
Deeds like these made Benet as famous
as the three mightiest warriors.
00:07:19.545 --> 00:07:23.355
He was more honored than the other
members of the 30, though he was
00:07:23.355 --> 00:07:27.945
not one of the three, and David
made him captain of his bodyguard.
00:07:29.535 --> 00:07:33.825
David's Mighty Warriors
also included Ashel.
00:07:34.365 --> 00:07:38.775
Jo's brother, El Hanan,
son of Dodo from Bethlehem.
00:07:39.765 --> 00:07:41.145
Shamma from Herod.
00:07:41.895 --> 00:07:46.825
HIEs from Pein Ira, son of Ike from Tekoa.
00:07:48.780 --> 00:07:59.880

Son of Hari Zech.
00:08:50.970 --> 00:08:53.790
From Amon Nehara.
00:08:53.790 --> 00:08:56.970
From Biro, the armor bearer of Joab.
00:08:56.975 --> 00:09:08.580

00:09:19.785 --> 00:09:26.355

00:09:40.695 --> 00:09:42.075
Isma from Moab.
00:09:43.380 --> 00:09:47.190
IL and Obed CIO from Zoba.
00:09:48.810 --> 00:09:52.110
The following men joined
David at Ziklag while he was
00:09:52.110 --> 00:09:54.180
hiding from Saul, son of Kish.
00:09:54.960 --> 00:09:58.440
They were among the warriors who
fought beside David in battle.
00:09:59.220 --> 00:10:04.260
All of them were expert archers and they
could shoot arrows or sling stones with
00:10:04.260 --> 00:10:06.360
their left hand as well as their right.
00:10:07.320 --> 00:10:10.200
They were all relatives of Saul
from the tribe of Benjamin.
00:10:11.040 --> 00:10:14.700
Their leader was ajar,
son of Shema from Gya.
00:10:15.450 --> 00:10:17.880
His brother Joe Ash was second in command.
00:10:18.540 --> 00:10:24.420
These were the other Warriors,
Jelle and Ett Sons of Veth.
00:10:25.410 --> 00:10:32.310
Berka, G Hu from Anal, Ishma
from Gibeon, a famous warrior
00:10:32.310 --> 00:10:35.880
and leader among the 30 Jeremiah.
00:10:37.260 --> 00:10:40.560
Ze, Johannan and Zeba from Gaira.
00:10:41.940 --> 00:10:43.320
Elai Je
00:10:46.200 --> 00:10:54.930
Aliah, and she atiya from Hara,
Elena Isha Re Joer, and Joshua
00:10:54.930 --> 00:11:01.260
Biam, who were Cora Heights, Jola
and Ze Sons of Roham from Guido.
00:11:02.895 --> 00:11:07.065
Some brave and experienced warriors
from the tribe of Gad, also
00:11:07.065 --> 00:11:10.695
defected to David while he was at
the stronghold in the wilderness.
00:11:11.385 --> 00:11:16.395
They were expert with both shield
and spear as fierce as lions and
00:11:16.395 --> 00:11:18.555
as swift as deer on the mountains.
00:11:19.725 --> 00:11:21.225
Easer was their leader.
00:11:21.935 --> 00:11:23.415
Obadiah was second.
00:11:24.255 --> 00:11:25.515
Elia was third.
00:11:26.505 --> 00:11:28.035
Mish, mana was fourth.
00:11:28.755 --> 00:11:30.165
Jeremiah was fifth.
00:11:30.990 --> 00:11:32.400
Atti was sixth.
00:11:33.360 --> 00:11:34.620
Lyle was seventh.
00:11:35.340 --> 00:11:36.720
Johannan was eighth.
00:11:37.710 --> 00:11:39.240
Zeba was ninth.
00:11:40.020 --> 00:11:41.520
Jeremiah was 10th.
00:11:42.870 --> 00:11:44.010
McNay was 11th.
00:11:45.600 --> 00:11:48.690
These warriors from GAD
were army commanders.
00:11:49.440 --> 00:11:53.220
The weakest among them could take
on a hundred regular troops and the
00:11:53.225 --> 00:11:55.170
strongest could take on a thousand.
00:11:55.785 --> 00:11:59.895
These were the men who crossed the Jordan
River during its seasonal flooding at
00:11:59.895 --> 00:12:04.275
the beginning of the year and drove out
all the people living in the lowlands
00:12:04.275 --> 00:12:06.315
on both the east and west banks.
00:12:07.785 --> 00:12:11.385
Others from Benjamin and Judah
came to David at the stronghold.
00:12:12.105 --> 00:12:16.575
David went out to meet them and said,
if you have come in peace to help
00:12:16.575 --> 00:12:21.645
me, we are friends, but if you have
come to betray me to my enemies when
00:12:21.645 --> 00:12:26.670
I am innocent, Then may the God of
our ancestors see it and punish you.
00:12:28.200 --> 00:12:32.970
Then the Spirit came upon a
Masai, the leader of the 30, and
00:12:32.970 --> 00:12:36.000
he said, we are yours, David.
00:12:36.600 --> 00:12:38.070
We are on your side.
00:12:38.075 --> 00:12:44.940
Son of Jesse, peace and prosperity be
with you and success to all who help you
00:12:45.510 --> 00:12:48.030
for your God is the one who helps you.
00:12:49.710 --> 00:12:51.540
So David, let them join him.
00:12:52.095 --> 00:12:54.405
And he made them officers over his troops.
00:12:55.365 --> 00:12:59.325
Some men from Manasa defected
from the Israelite army and joined
00:12:59.325 --> 00:13:03.225
David when he set out with the
Philistines to fight against Saul.
00:13:03.915 --> 00:13:07.755
But as it turned out, the
Philistine rulers refused to let
00:13:07.760 --> 00:13:09.525
David and his men go with them.
00:13:10.635 --> 00:13:15.195
After much discussion they sent
them back for, they said it will
00:13:15.195 --> 00:13:20.235
cost us our heads if David switches
loyalties to Saul and turns against us.
00:13:21.480 --> 00:13:26.160
Here is a list of the men from Manas who
defected to David as he was returning
00:13:26.160 --> 00:13:33.210
to Ziklag, Edna Zeba, Jel, Michael Jbad.
00:13:33.720 --> 00:13:39.540
Elihu and Zilli each commanded 1000
troops from the tribe of Manas.
00:13:40.650 --> 00:13:44.430
They helped David Chase down
bands of Raiders for they were
00:13:44.430 --> 00:13:48.300
all brave and able warriors who
became commanders in his army.
00:13:49.215 --> 00:13:55.455
Day after day, more men joined David until
he had a great army, like the army of God.
