The Flagship: Breaking down Texas' 2022 signing class

In this interview edition of The Flagship Podcast interview, we talk about Longhorn Nation's early Christmas present — Texas' 2022 signing class — with 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong.

We go position by position in a recruiting class ranked No. 5 by 247Sports, starting with a heralded offensive line haul that includes the nation's No. 1 offensive tackle - Kelvin Banks.

Wiltfong discusses the rest of the offensive line class, including Neto Umeozulu, Malik Agbo, Cole Hutson, Cameron Williams and Connor Robertson.

We get Wiltfong's thoughts on a big-time defensive line haul by the Longhorns, led by four-star tackle Jaray Bledsoe and four-star edge rusher J'Mond Tapp.

Wiltfong also shares his thoughts on 2022 defensive line signees Justice Finkley, Kristopher Ross (who might be due for a ratings upgrade), Ethan Burke, Derrick Brown, Aaron Bryant and Zac Swanson.

Of course, there's plenty of discussion about quarterback Quinn Ewers, the Longhorns' highest-rated recruit since Vince Young in 2002, as well as big-armed four-star quarterback Maalik Murphy.

Wiltfong also has an interesting take on uncommitted five-star linebacker Harold Perkins.

How quickly can additions in the secondary, such as cornerback Terrance Brooks, a late flip from Ohio State, help Texas? Wiltfong gives you his answer and much, much more.
