Nancy Guthrie: Nobody at Her Favorite Restaurant Thinks She's Coming Home

Jennifer Coffindaffer flew to Tucson and spent an evening at El Charro, Nancy Guthrie's favorite restaurant and the oldest family-owned Mexican restaurant in America. She asked the whole room — servers, diners, hostesses — what they think happened. Not one person believes Nancy is alive. A man leaned back and said no comment three times while his wife told Coffindaffer the sheriff messed this up from the beginning. Ten women from Minnesota wanted to talk about Jacob Wetterling — a masked stranger, nearly twenty-seven years before a confession. The two hostesses had never heard of Nancy. The staff said the dead season filled with people driving in because of the case. Coffindaffer lays it out with Tony and Robin Dreeke.
