Guest: Proper Frequency
On this episode of FLiP, Wavy Lachii, DJ Bluue, and WLD CRD sit down with Atlanta-based DJ collective Proper Frequency — a movement built on culture, connection, and sound without boundaries.
More than just DJs, Albert and Nat have created a musical experience that blends southern hip-hop, jazz improvisation, electronic energy, and Latin rhythms into a frequency completely their own. What started as rooftop sessions among friends has evolved into an international wave, while still keeping the same intimate energy that made people connect in the first place.
We dive deep into:
The origins of Proper Frequency
How Atlanta’s global influence shaped their sound
Genre blending and open-format DJ culture
Rooftop parties that turned into unforgettable experiences
Reading crowds, taking risks, and creating moments
Building an international brand while staying authentic
What “being at the right frequency” truly means
From stories about crate digging and crowd control to conversations about culture, identity, and authenticity, this episode captures the spirit of DJs who understand that music is more than entertainment — it’s connection.
“At the right frequency… be yourself.”
