Most self-help guests tell you to believe harder. Patrick Buchanan wrote a book that argues that might actually be the problem.
Patrick spent 18 years writing advertising campaigns for major brands including Jeep, Grey Goose and Mercedes-Benz, including a Cannes-shortlisted Super Bowl commercial starring Bob Dylan. Then he walked away from the advertising world and taught himself how to trade options.
Today, Patrick works roughly an hour a day from wherever he happens to be in the world, while exploring ideas about mindset, independence, work, creativity and the way we think about success.
In this conversation, we get into the creation of The W.O.L.F. Mindset, his journey from advertising and the day job to day trading, independent thinking, creative work, the philosophy behind his book, Kurt Cobain and much more.
From his current base in Kansas City, Patrick shares the experiences and ideas behind building a life outside the traditional definition of work and success.
