INFORMAZIONI SU QUESTO EPISODIO
What if weight gain, low energy, aches, inflammation, and feeling uncomfortable in your body aren’t simply signs that you’re getting older?
In this episode, I’m joined by Amy Lewis to talk about why we’ve normalized feeling bad as we age — and what can change when we stop accepting every symptom as inevitable. After being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at just 12 years old and spending years navigating medications, surgeries, food fear, and chronic symptoms, Amy began looking differently at the role of real food, movement, mindset, and everyday lifestyle choices in how we feel.
We talk about midlife weight gain, inflammation, low energy, aches and pains, under-eating, diet culture, and why “healthy eating” doesn’t always mean your body is getting what it needs. Amy also shares why she believes getting older does not have to mean slowly losing your strength, confidence, mobility, or ability to fully participate in your life.
This conversation is a reminder that common does not always mean normal — and longevity isn’t simply about living longer. It’s about feeling well enough to keep traveling, moving, hiking, showing up for the people you love, and actually enjoying the years you’re working so hard to have.
Amy Lewis is a health and wellness professional whose work combines real food nutrition, movement, fascial work, and practical lifestyle strategies designed to help people feel better in their bodies without making wellness their entire life.
