Multiplying Disciples: The Generational Call to Faith and Community

The message emphasizes the critical importance of discipleship, biblical literacy, and faith-based parenting within the Christian community. Drawing from passages in Matthew, Deuteronomy, Psalms, and other scriptures, Carla Parker highlights that Jesus called his followers to "make disciples," not just believers, and that true discipleship is a daily, lifelong process akin to apprenticeship. The message underscores that parents have the greatest potential to influence their children's faith, given the significant time they spend together compared to the limited hours children spend at church. However, the responsibility of raising children in faith is not solely on parents but is shared by the entire faith community, which must support, mentor, and provide opportunities for the next generation. Through personal stories and practical examples, Carla Parker illustrates how generational discipleship multiplies and sustains the church, warning that the church is always one generation away from decline or revival. The message concludes with a call for everyone in the church to actively participate in discipling children and youth, ensuring the enduring strength and growth of the faith community.
