Speaker 1: This is Dan Caplis and welcome to today's online podcast edition of The Dan Caplis Show. Please be sure to give us a five star rating if you'd be so kind, and to subscribe, download and listen to the show every single day on your favorite podcast platform these days three out, three seven, one, three eight, two five five d an five seven seven at three nine. I have got to tell you thank you to Aeronlee for covering yesterday show. I was off at the installation of the new Catholic Archbishop of Denver, James Coca, and I've got to tell you I won't spend the showing up, but I easily could spend all three hours. Can we have now our Ryan talking about it? Because it just blew me away. It was so powerful, it was so great, and listen. I was in a Catholic seminary for four years in high school, and you know, we go to Mass every Sunday and everything, and you know, I've got to admit it. You know, sometimes a mass gos longer than hour or so I start to get a low fidgety this or that. This installation yesterday, it probably went two fifteen to twenty and it flew by flew by. It felt like ten minutes. It was so cool and beautiful. But the big message is that I think you're gonna love this guy, whether you're Catholic or not. And he's been on the show. He did his first big interview with us. But used to be the bishop in Colorado Springs, now the archbishop in Denver, and wow, he is super impressive, so great, great, great things ahead.
00:01:32
Speaker 2: Anything that stands out to you, Dan from your interview or just what you observed yesterday. The difference is between the two archbishops past present.
00:01:41
Speaker 1: Good fair question to me, it's not so much a difference is because my experience limited experience with archbishops, and it goes back one three four fought my experience with Archbishop Casey from Denver because that was a bit before my time. But that was such a bizarre experience. I ever tell you about that one because I really didn't get to know him. Like the next archbishop who became a cardinal, Archbishop Stafford, he ended up marrying us and so and we had the privilege of seeing him yesterday at the installation. But my only contact with the Archbishop Casey was I'm on a flight back from seeing Pope John Paul the Great in Chicago. So it's probably seventy eight, seventy nine, I can't remember. I'm on a flight back and I'm sitting there, and I'm sitting next to Archbishop Casey because I threw bags for the airline and so I'd get upgraded to first He's you know, he's there for good reason. So I'm sitting there next to the archbishop. And this was like decades before I met Amy, and back during that kind of like ten minute window when I was decent looking, maybe just like Joe. So anyway, I've never been there good looking. So but anyway, I'm sitting there next to the archbishop and this this, let's say, a very attractive flight attendant, okay, comes over, kneels down in the aisle and makes a very direct proposition whoa, as I'm sitting next to the archbishop. So it was just a weird, surreal kind of moment. And again this was back in the late seventies, and my experiences with the next archbishops you know, then became Cardinal Stafford, Archbishop Sheep Hugh, of course, Archbishop Aquilla. They're I'm just telling you this. They're all spectacular, but with completely different styles. So to answer your question, run, Bishop Goca has like all of them, he just has a unique style. And yeah, I think people are just gonna love them. And that's beyond Catholics. Beyond Catholics are going to love him too.
00:03:51
Speaker 3: I'm a Protestant. I thought he was great with you.
00:03:53
Speaker 1: Oh thank you. Yeah. But but and that's the thing in whoever the Archbishop of Denver is, you know, he no matter or what your faith, that person is going to be a very powerful figure in Colorado for lots of different reasons, including the fact that literally Denver would literally fall apart without the work of the Catholic Church in Denver, Catholic Charities, and no matter what your religious faith or none, whatever, that's just a practical matter. Without that work, Denver literally stops operating. And so that person's going to be a powerful person. It's very much true and growing in Northern Colorado as well, because Catholic Charities is so active doing so much there. And then of course you get into the fact we have this proud tradition of Catholic archbishops in Northern Colorado who are courageous and playing spoken, and they're not going to be intimidated by any political actors. You couldn't look at you could not look at any of the archbishops in Denver in the last forty years and say that person's a Republican or that person's a Democrat. They're so far beyond any of that, so far beyond that. But they have the guts to stand up and speak out on the big issues of the day, no matter how those issues cut politically. And so because they're willing to speak out and they hold this very important position, and because they're thoughtful and they're delivering messages that makes sense. Yeah, that's going to be a powerful figure. And he is going to be a very very powerful figure. But I'll give you one specific rind and it's one of those you really had to be their deals. But it was down in that new arena at the new stock Center complex, stock Show Complex, not on seventeenth Street. It was stock Show Complex, which is beautiful. The new Center is beautiful. So so many people wanted to come. They couldn't do it in the Basilica. They had over four thousand people there. Wow, And so you know, you picture the long procession. They had a very very very high ranking cardinal from Rome there and I'm hearing somebeker. I wasn't plugged into program, but anyway, the choir was phenomenal. You have all these people, so you picture the new archbishop up there and they've just had this moving ceremony where Archbishop Aquilla leaves the chair of the archbishop and the exchange with the new archbishop, and then he comes up and he's given his homily and he ends his homily with this and I'm paraphrasing, but I'll get to the last line verbatim. He ends this homily with this great point about hey, each and every one of us was created for a mission, and then he elaborated on that, I mean, we are here for a specific purpose, and then he ends it. It was such a dramatic line. He ends it with I'm ready, are you? And it was just it was re had to be there, but it was really powerful. So he's going to do great. He is going to do great. I'm so excited about that, and excited beyond you. I'm a Catholic, but I'm so excited were the people of the state beyond Catholics, because He's going to be a very powerful force for not getting emotional. It's just a little snack food of you know, Ryan, I don't want to get mushy. I'm not getting emotional now, that's peanut butter. But during the installation I did at times, and you know that's hey, listen, I'm a Catholic. I really believe that. I know I don't always act like it, but I really believe it. And it was and I'm sure others listening have experienced it in their own life in different ways. Maybe sometimes it's the birth of a child or this or that. I know it was for us, but where you just feel the spirit and this was one of those deals. So yeah, there were times when it was. It was really emotional. And I remember sitting there thinking, as I'm walking out of there, I was thinking, you know what, I am leaving this better than I walked in. Just felt that I was, you know, may every day, right, we're growing or we're dying. We're either getting better or we're getting worse. And I left that thing figure and yeah, I'm leaving here better than I came in.
00:08:10
Speaker 4: It was.
00:08:10
Speaker 1: It was really cool. So it's a great thing for the state. And I was so happy for Archbishop of Cook because that's a brutal job.
00:08:17
Speaker 5: Man.
00:08:17
Speaker 1: That archbishop job is a brutal job, and he's been doing it so many years. And talked to him a little bit at dinner and he just looked like the weight of the world was off his shoulders, big smile on his face. He's also a very good golfer and now he can go play some golf. I just I just felt great for him too. So three oh three someone three eight two five, five, five seven, seven three nine. Archbishop Coca, as I mentioned, came on the show with us a few weeks ago and said he'd be interested in a regular monthly so look forward to that. It's interesting because the governor governor used to do a regular monthly over on KOA and this and that, but now all these elected lefties stop doing that because they don't have good answers to the most important questions. Somebody like Archbishop Goolka, he's not going to be afraid of any interview because he's got true answers to the toughest questions. And here's the beauty of Catholic archbishops and Catholic priests. You know, they don't care whether you like the answer or not. That's not their job. The mailman's job is to deliver the mail, and if somebody doesn't like the mail they get, mailman isn't going to worry about that. And that's that's kind of the very cool thing about that. Three h three seven three eight two five five five seven seven three nine. More good news out there. Uh, the Olympic Committee, we'll talk about that in a little bit of detail. Banning, you know, transgender athletes. Now, they're not going to ban a woman who wants to play in men's sports. But we never see that. Do Have we seen any example of a woman wanting to play in a man sport? A woman saying, hey, I identify as a man, I want to go play not the identifying division.
00:10:04
Speaker 3: But I know a young lady who was in high school.
00:10:07
Speaker 2: It was a very good wrestler, and they didn't have girls wrestling, and she was allowed to wrestle the boys, and she was competitive as girls.
00:10:13
Speaker 3: She's just a girl doing a boys sport.
00:10:14
Speaker 1: But but this whole scam of boys taking over girls sports and winning all their trophies and everything else, it only goes one direction. It's only the boys who want to go play the girl sports. It's it's never the women who want to go play the men's sports, and so great to see the Olympic Committee step in on that. I want to talk with you the latest dinner on You're on the Dan Kapla Show.
00:10:41
Speaker 3: And now back to the Dan Kaplas Show podcast.
00:10:44
Speaker 1: Faith and Practice of Faith going on right now across the country including Colorado three of three, seven and three two five five, d an five seven seven three nine. Hey yt Elan Dershowitz. I think right on track here.
00:10:59
Speaker 5: This is the most im war since nineteen thirty nine, since Nazi Germany. If Iran is allowed to develop nuclear bombs, he will do what Hitler did and there will be millions and millions of deaths. Had President Trump been in charge in nineteen thirty five nineteen thirty six, I think the Holocaust would have been prevented. I think he would have gone in after Nazi Germany. He would have destroyed it the way he is destroying Nazi Iran, and the Holocaust would have been prevented. We're preventing another holocaust, and nuclear holocaust that Iran would clearly inflict not only on.
00:11:37
Speaker 1: Israel but on Europe.
00:11:39
Speaker 5: We now know that his rockets can reach Europe and ultimately on the United States. So this is the most important war we have fought since the Second World War, and every decent person ought to join it, and the Democrats or to join it in the United States, but they're not because they're putting partisanship before national security.
00:11:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he now. And then the big question I'd love to get your taken this and I'll tell you where all the smoke's from, is where does it go from here? Because I think we're pretty clearly at a crossroads moment right there's either going to be a real deal, there's going to be a bad deal that's labeled a good deal, or there's going to be a massive escalation until these ultimate goals are accomplished. And I think all of that's going to happen pretty quickly. And one reason I say that is because obviously President Trump is trying to to, you know, manage a lot of moving pieces, including keeping you know, the the economy going well. And so now I think you're starting to see it in the market where the markets are getting it that hey, you know, this this may go on for a while and make it worse before it gets better. Both of which I think are true. And so you're seeing, what was it down two percent today, Nastek, You're starting to see the market step a bit more, more of a steady ride rather than dramatic up and down and oil. Yeah, And so I think that for that and strategic reasons, I think you're going to see President Trump acting to bring this to an end quickly, either through again, either through a good deal, which I think is less likely. I think if there's a deal right now, it's more likely to be a bad deal labeled a good deal, or through an escalation toward a lasting a long lasting benefit from this, because there can be no doubt about the evil. The left won't acknowledge the evil when it comes to Iran. But then again, you know, the people who actually control the Democratic Party in America don't want good things for this nation long term. I mean they don't. I'm not saying to your typical Democrat is that way, but the people who own and operate the party are many of them are that way. And then of course many on the left now would be very happy to see the destruction of Israel. So three or three, two, five, five, seven, seven, three nine, You know, I say this ran knowing that to some it sounds naive, but it's one of the least naive things I've ever said. I trust Trump as we sit here right now. I trust him everything that I can see and that others who say the same thing can see about Iran and the need to to incur the pain now short term for massive long term benefit. He sees and he knows better than I do, And I just trust and even when it looks like he's about to maybe do the wrong thing, that he's going to do the right thing, and that he has reasons for doing what he's doing at the moment. This isn't some kind of blind truster. Oh, I voted for him, so I trust him. Or he has a red jersey, so I trust him. None of that garbage. I would not be able to look myself in the mirror if I ever did that with any politician anywhere. I trust him for one big reason, the results what I've seen him accomplish.
00:14:59
Speaker 3: His track wreck.
00:15:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, mclony, Dan, he's got what the bust of Winston Churchill in the old Wall office there, that's not by accident. And the fact that Alan Dershwood said what he said about World War Two. I believe that that Donald Trump has a bigger picture in mind. He tries to channel Winston Churchill. Churchill was fearless, he had a spine of steel. There's the reason Great Britain was never conquered by Germany. And he was the heartbeat behind that. One of the great figures of the twentieth century, no matter what Tucker Carlson or anybody else says, a hero of the twentieth century. And I think that's who Donald Trump is inspired by largely.
00:15:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, And I don't see how anything could be a long term success here if you leave, as I think John Bolton referred to it, a wounded animal in terms of this radical Islamic regime. And I know the players have changed, but the regime is the same, and the ideology and the actions and the future actions will be the same. And without some permanent control over the strait of hor moves, I don't know how anything could be declared a true victory. All you could say at that point is, hey, okay, we're back in that cycle where Iran gets close to a nuclear weapon and you know, Trump takes military action to prevent them from getting a short term that's what we saw last June, and then when they started to get close again, you know, a more extended attack and phenomenal, amazing, magnificent performance by the US military. But of course, if other things don't change, they're just going to start moving toward that nuclear capability the day we leave. And maybe it'll take a little longer this time. But remember, evil is evil, and what's to prevent Iran from simply obtaining nuclear weapons from another nation if the same kind of regime is left in charge. Because here's the problem. The challenge is, you've got this kind of evil in charge. So a bunch of the leaders get killed, but you've still got the revolutionary Guard running that country, and with that same ideology that will slaughter thirty thousand of their innocent citizens matter of two or three days, and with nukes due to Israel and perhaps the United States and other nations, what we see them doing now with ballistic missiles. So if that wounded animal, and I'm referring not to the people of Iran, but to that revolutionary Guard driven regime, if that survives in power, it will be more powerful now it'll have less stuff short term, because a lot of their stuff's been blown up, but it will be more powerful, it will have more credibility in the halls of evil, and that increased credibility in the halls of evil will bring them money, it will bring them protection. It may very well just bring them deliverable nuclear weapons. And I know President Trump knows all this, and I just I trust him, and so we'll see where this goes. But I really do think the next week or so is going to be it's going to be crossroad stuff. Three or three seventh th eight two five, five, seven, seven, three nine. What do you think he should do if the two choices at this point are to declare victory and go home, or to escalate and persist to the point where the Revolutionary Guard no longer controls Iran, Which do you do? I'd love to get your take on this, and this is an absolutely perfect time to do it. You know, we've been talking about openings opportunities for the GOP in Colorado to start seizing power again when we come back. I want to expand on that a little bit and on a national level, play some sound from the Jimmy Kimmel Show. That is one more reason for optimism. You're on the Dan capla show.
00:18:50
Speaker 3: You're listening to the Dan Kapliss Show podcast.
00:18:54
Speaker 1: Let's say we do a great job. We say we got ninety.
00:19:00
Speaker 4: To buy because one percent is a missile going into the hull of ship that costs a billion dollars, so.
00:19:06
Speaker 1: One we can't.
00:19:08
Speaker 6: If we do a ninety nine percent decimation, that's no good.
00:19:16
Speaker 1: This goes to an interesting text. We got into the last segment by saying, hey, I trust Trump. I trust Trump because he's earned it, and we're talking about iron and a texter says, why do you trust Trump so much when he's a known liar? First point is every president in my lifetime has lied on occasion. Doesn't mean it's right, but that's simply a reality of what happens in that position, some more than others. But keep in mind, the reason Trump has this office in large part is because he is willing to speak the clear and blatant and uncomfortable truth much more often than most people in politics do. That's a big reason he's even in office. And the real reason the left is so upset with them is that he does speak the truth so often, a truth they try to censor, a truth where they try to punish and cancel and imprison people if they tell those truths. So that's a real beef with Trump, not that he tells the occasional lie, but that he tells the hard truth. But why do I trust him knowing that occasionally he will say something that's untrue. What I trust is for him to do the right thing with iron I don't trust every single word that comes out of his mouth right now about what the strategy is or what the intent is, because a good commander in chief will deceive the enemy. So I would have no problem with any precedent. And there would be some exceptions to this if they're making some public statements about intent in a war, for example, that aren't true, if the intent of those statements is to mislead the enemy. Now, I trust him to do the right thing when it comes to Iran. And part of what's going on right now, I guess is that it's an effective manipulation on his part while he plans to do whatever's necessary to actually win this is that there's all sorts of messaging. I mean, you can listen to some comments that he made an hour ago where he's just declared victory, and you could listen to that and say, Okay, it's over. It's going to get wrapped up in the next day or two. And then you can listen to some other comments and think, Okay, this is going to go all the way to victory, no matter what it takes. And then, of course, as I always say to jury's and I'm sure you say to people in your life, look at the actions. Look at the actions. You listen to the words, but look at the actions. And what do you see with President Trump right now? He's President Trump moving troops into that area? Now? Is that for leverage and negotiations? May very well be? Is that for some brilliant type of military action that none of us see coming? Could well be? I mean Trump, in the US military, we are famous for that. Who would have ever seen coming what happened in Venezuela just a short time ago. This military is clearly the greatest military in the history of the world, and it's being run at a phenomenally high competence rate. And President Trump's a very bold commander. Not only would I not be surprised to wake up in the morning and hear that there had been some brilliant action that none of us saw coming. I'm expecting that. I mean, that's been the nature of Trump in public life for a long time, and that's been the nature as commander in chief. So I know it's trite to say I'm expected the unexpected, but that's what I'm expecting at this point. Now. I know everybody's focused on carg Island, where Iran has a lot of their oil operations, and there were some military strikes there about ten days ago. Maybe it's there, but maybe it's somewhere else. But it's hard for me to believe at this point that President Trump is going to accept the take a bad deal into clear at victory scenario. Just very hard for me to believe. What do you think three or three? Someone? Three eight, two five five, Thank you for that text, Texter dan Uh, What do you think about Trump before the election saying Kamala is going to get us into war and then he says he's not going to get us into war. He lied to get votes, No, he didn't. Donald Trump has talked for a very very long time about peace ER's strength, and he's been absolutely clear from the moment he stepped on the public stage that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and so no people knew exactly where the game. My goodness, in his first term he took out SOLMANI, that evil terrorist general of Iran. N Now, people got what they voted for with with Donald Trump, and that that is a rare thing and a good thing. All right, my friend, there are some other things I want to get to today. I know this will excite our friend Ryan, so I'll surprise him with it.
00:23:57
Speaker 4: Minneapolis, in Los Angeles, Francisco, Phoenix, It's Newark, Sunrise, Florida, Austin, Chicago, Atlanta, belle Mont, Long Island, Philadelphia, New York, Brooklyn, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Boston, and Washington, d C. The East Street Band is coming your way and we are bringing hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness, ethics over unbridled corruption, unity over division, and peace over.
00:24:29
Speaker 1: Your friend. Bruce Springsteen, your friend, your buddy. But I did not hear Denver on that list, and Mike.
00:24:37
Speaker 3: Johnston Scott are really disappointed.
00:24:39
Speaker 6: Yeah.
00:24:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, he tried so hard to lure Bruce in.
00:24:42
Speaker 2: Would you go? No, not no, not for the reasons that Bruce is putting out there. I don't agree with him. I don't want to support that. Yeah, how about you. Yeah, I don't know. I think about it, of course.
00:24:51
Speaker 1: But here's the riding to listen, here's the reason. Hey, I'm not afraid of any ideas, and we listen. We as conservatives, I don't if you're a Republican conservative, an affiliated Democrat, conservative, whatever. We as conservatives, we are not cowards. We are not timid. We are not afraid of opposing ideas. You know, we we don't think we're gonna melt if if we hear the other side say stupid stuff. Right, No, well, we're not those kind of people. And this idea that, oh, okay, if I went to a Springsteen concert because I was just curious. First. I really like his music, but I was just curious as to what he was going to say and what the whole deal is that I'd somehow be funding his cause. No, in the real world, as a practical matter, I wouldn't be. Now, if the price of admission was ten twenty thirty million dollars, then yeah, maybe you're talking about enough money at that point to make a difference in advance his goofiness. No, I'm sorry, I'm never going to be one of those people who creates their own prison, you know, and I'm a guy. How many people can say this, right? What do you think the percentages young Ryan who can say they were part of one political party that they were born into, became active in, and then left to go to the opposing political party. What percent of the voting population you think can say that? Hm, I think it's very small. Yah, But I did because the point is, I'm never going to build my own cage. I'm never going to be a prisoner of any political party. And the Democratic Party changed. It was one thing in my mind and then it became something else, and I said, I'm out of here. That's not my identity. God didn't put me on this planet to be a Democrat or Republican or serve one party or the other. He put me on this planet for the same reason he put you on the planet and everybody else on the planet, and in part that is to stop bad things, do good things, fulfill the mission. And it became very obvious to me that the best way to do that was going to be the Republican Party. Not because it's ordained by God or it's perfect or anything like that, but it was going to be best to fulfill the mission. Yeah, so no, I'm not going to be afraid to take my daughter to a Taylor Swift concert despite overwhelming text or opposition, or to go see Bruce Springsteen, even if I have to go on my own.
00:27:27
Speaker 2: I think you take more heat for the Taylor Swift one than you do the Bruce one even And.
00:27:30
Speaker 1: What is that you do that? What is that? Because I've been with Caroline, it's been a father daughter thing since she was very young. I have not heard Taylor Swift say one political word at any concert I've ever been to. I understand she does her outside political stuff, but not one political word at any concert. Yeah, so what's the beef? Anyway, when we came back it, we'll take some calls and text on this. But I also then want to get into this spanking conversation which has now been reignited by one Charles Barkley. Do you remember when Charles Barkley proposed to my wife? I did not remember that, but it was almost the last thing he did. You're on the Dan Capola Show.
00:28:22
Speaker 3: And now back to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.
00:28:25
Speaker 7: Dicky News IRGC Navy Commander Ali Reza Tang Siri was targeted overnight in a strike in the city of Bandar Abbas, Iran. According to a senior Israeli official, Tang Siria was directly responsible for commanding the closure of the strait afore moves. I'm told his senior operational leadership, including intelligence and operations chiefs or at a covert Navy command center that again, according to a senior Israeli official, we understand the battle damage assessment is ongoing, but they.
00:28:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, so is that a prelude now to a military action to take this straight? I guess we'll find out together. Pretty significant development in facts since we started this conversation at the top of the show. Here's the post from President Trump, as per Iranian government request. Please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of energy plant destruction by ten days to Monday, April sixth, twenty twenty six, at eight pm Eastern time. Talks are ongoing, and despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the fake news media and others, they are going very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump. So what do you make of that? What I make of that? Is first the president is not promising to pause anything else or to not do anything else, So any other type of military action in the meantime would be on the table. You know. It could be part of a distraction play while some other you know, mission has launched or act taken. It could be part of allowing time for the kind of build up in preparation that'll be necessary if if this war is about to dramatically escalate, or it could be that there are in fact serious talks. But one way or the other, that is a substantive development, as they say in the last few minutes three l three seven one three eight two five five d an five seven seven three nine. But is really military intelligence is really stunningly good, isn't it. It seems like they know where everybody is. The mesade is everywhere da I mean, think of the moment we're living in right now. And fortunately both of these militaries are devoted to good and that is we've got the greatest military in the history of the world operating at a level kind of beyond imagination. When you look at what the US military is accomplishing right now, and then you have Israel. You take the size of the country and everything. Israel has been up against all the different extermination attempts, including this one, and it is able to operate militarily, it is able to have the kind of military intelligence that we see at work. It really is phenomenal, and so another reason, another reason to be hopeful and optimistic. That is about to be a big, big turn for good in the world, not without a heavy price. But that's the thing where I mean, and again easy to say from the comfort of a radio studio, but I can tell you without question, just me personally. I'm just speaking for myself. And I know people say, I'll look at the age on your driver's license, but I got to tell you, I got a few dents in the fender. But I think I'm better and stronger in so many ways than I was when I was twenty one. Is this a conflict that I would die for? I know those words are kind of cheap and easy because the military doesn't take anybody my age, but I would. I mean, I'm just telling you, man to woman or manda man, whatever you may be, and you're one or the other, that yeah, this is a conflict I would die for, and it is of that importance to our children and to their children and to the future of this nation in the world. It's it's that clear. That's why I'm really glad Donald Trump is in charge right now, because if if America doesn't finish the job now, it will be probably an opportunity lost for a lifetime. Hey, are you able to bring Don in Pueblo up? Ryan? I somehow messed up his line. I don't know how I did it. Okay, Don, you're on the Dan Kaplas show.
00:32:30
Speaker 6: Welcome, Thank you, Dan. I just want to comment. First of all, I love your show. Secondly, I even like your.
00:32:39
Speaker 1: Ads such thank you let me let me you need I.
00:32:43
Speaker 6: Totally, I totally believe Trump ought to finish finish the job. He cannot let the radical Iranians continue to build missiles, continue to have an ideology that hates the United States. Every single citizen in the United States, Republican and Democrat and independent, and they will destroy us if we don't destroy them. I'm not talking about the Iranian people talking about they're prisoners.
00:33:13
Speaker 1: The Iranian people are prisoners of that regime. They just killed twenty to thirty thousand. I'm executed them.
00:33:20
Speaker 6: I've been to Pakistan, I've been to Iraq while the war was going on. I've been to Azubaijan, I've been to radical countries. People relatively you know, normal people in those countries are scared to death of their government. Yeah, scared to death.
00:33:37
Speaker 1: What would it be like, don you tell us, because you've been to those countries, what would it be like for America and the world if all of a sudden, this evil regime was run out of power and the people of Iran were freed. What would that mean?
00:33:52
Speaker 6: I think it's possible that it would mean that people throughout the world, in these other countries and recognize what has happened, have for the first time in their lives, hope, hope that maybe freedom could come to their company country. That's what I think.
00:34:08
Speaker 1: Boy. It seems to me that it would immediately mean a much safer America, a much safer Middle East, and when it comes to economic prosperity, that that we would be unleashing levels of prosperity and economic progress around the globe.
00:34:27
Speaker 6: That you could only imagine, no question about it, Absolutely true.
00:34:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, hey man, appreciate the call, Thank you, Thank you very much, Don from a Pueblo. Wouldn't it be great? Ryan to be able to go to Tehran someday. Yeah, and Havana, Cuba. Should that be cool? Yeah? Because my brother is married to a Cuban woman. He went down there on a humanitarian mission and he met her and then just work through legal channels and was able to bring her here legally. She's phenomenal. But uh, and my wife, my wife and daughter went down there for a wedding, a family wedding of my brother's daughter. But man, I'd love to just be able to go to a free Havana and under Trump that if it's ever going to happen in our lifetimes, it's gonna happen.
00:35:22
Speaker 6: Now.
00:35:23
Speaker 1: Hey, when we come back, I got a lot of ground to cover, But I do want to talk to you about this spanking thing. Charles Barkley has reignited this whole conversation. He's all in favor of that kind of corporal punishment. What about you
Speaker 1: This is Dan Caplis and welcome to today's online podcast edition of The Dan Caplis Show.
