1
00:00:00.200 --> 00:00:15.439
Three, two one, twenty twenty six has a rived everyone,
2
00:00:15.880 --> 00:00:18.559
which only means one thing, the whole bunch of films.
3
00:00:18.559 --> 00:00:20.640
We're excited for this lunch, and we're going to get
4
00:00:20.719 --> 00:00:23.399
right into it, right into it, right after this, after this.
5
00:00:30.719 --> 00:00:33.960
Hello there, copperheads, and welcome to a brand new edition
6
00:00:34.200 --> 00:00:35.159
of Clap at All.
7
00:00:35.280 --> 00:00:36.960
This is anything. My name is Kevin Tate.
8
00:00:37.039 --> 00:00:39.079
There we go, and like we said at the beginning,
9
00:00:39.280 --> 00:00:42.280
we are going to be discussing our top films for
10
00:00:42.439 --> 00:00:46.359
twenty twenty six that we are absolutely excited for absolutely now.
11
00:00:46.399 --> 00:00:49.640
Similar to our last episode, which recap the best of
12
00:00:49.679 --> 00:00:53.119
twenty twenty five, we've got three ones that we're really
13
00:00:53.159 --> 00:00:57.240
excited for and two special mentions. So since you started
14
00:00:57.280 --> 00:00:59.359
that one first, I want to go first with mine.
15
00:01:00.119 --> 00:01:03.520
My first film is a film that I didn't expect
16
00:01:03.520 --> 00:01:06.120
to have this particular actor in, but I'm very happy
17
00:01:06.159 --> 00:01:09.439
he is anyway. It's a film called Madden, about the
18
00:01:09.480 --> 00:01:14.319
story of the very famous NFL commentator coach John Madden.
19
00:01:14.719 --> 00:01:16.680
I was just about to joke like Madden the game,
20
00:01:16.760 --> 00:01:19.519
and I realized, yes.
21
00:01:18.879 --> 00:01:21.519
It's exactly Mad in the game, and who is playing
22
00:01:21.599 --> 00:01:27.079
John Madden? Nicholas Cage and I'm always very happy when
23
00:01:27.200 --> 00:01:28.959
Nicholas Cage is not screen.
24
00:01:29.079 --> 00:01:30.439
It's really Nicholas Cage.
25
00:01:30.719 --> 00:01:33.519
But on top of that, we've also got Christian Bale
26
00:01:33.599 --> 00:01:36.680
as his partner Al Davis, who was famously his sports
27
00:01:36.719 --> 00:01:38.799
commentating partner. I don't know much about the NFL, so
28
00:01:38.879 --> 00:01:41.120
if I'm getting these facts wrong, don't blame me.
29
00:01:41.239 --> 00:01:42.159
We are not Americans.
30
00:01:42.400 --> 00:01:45.719
NFL is not popular here, yes, but I'm very excited
31
00:01:45.760 --> 00:01:48.840
for this just to see Nicholas Cage do something that
32
00:01:48.879 --> 00:01:52.200
I think we don't expect of him, like really go
33
00:01:52.319 --> 00:01:54.239
back to the days of leaving Las Vegas when he
34
00:01:54.280 --> 00:01:56.519
was an actor as actor, yes, yes, yes, And I
35
00:01:56.519 --> 00:01:59.359
mean you've got Christian Bale as an acting partner. You're
36
00:01:59.400 --> 00:02:01.519
going to have to off a stellar performance to match
37
00:02:01.599 --> 00:02:04.359
Christian Bale. So this is going to be coming out
38
00:02:04.480 --> 00:02:08.479
November twenty sixth. In twenty twenty six no word on
39
00:02:08.560 --> 00:02:11.560
whether it's coming out here hopefully, because I would love
40
00:02:11.599 --> 00:02:13.000
to see this on the big screen, but if not,
41
00:02:13.919 --> 00:02:15.840
well wait for it on digital. So yeah, my first
42
00:02:15.879 --> 00:02:16.879
play would be Madden.
43
00:02:17.080 --> 00:02:19.360
And my first pick is this movie that I've talked
44
00:02:19.400 --> 00:02:21.840
about again and again because I've read the book. It
45
00:02:22.000 --> 00:02:38.159
is a movie that is titled Project Helly Mary. Yeah,
46
00:02:38.199 --> 00:02:41.159
directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the same person
47
00:02:41.199 --> 00:02:44.680
who did Spider Verse and the Lego Movie, and it
48
00:02:44.800 --> 00:02:47.759
is starring no other than Ryan Gosling.
49
00:02:48.159 --> 00:02:50.960
I'm super excited for this one. Yeah, man, I when
50
00:02:50.960 --> 00:02:53.120
I first thought for people who don't know.
51
00:02:53.159 --> 00:02:58.439
Project Hill is written by the same author and deware
52
00:02:59.039 --> 00:03:03.000
of the Martian and dude, that's that's that's all, man,
53
00:03:03.120 --> 00:03:05.280
it's broke. If you like The Mushian, you probably love
54
00:03:05.360 --> 00:03:05.800
this one too.
55
00:03:06.039 --> 00:03:08.280
And I mean, judging from the trailer, the first two
56
00:03:08.280 --> 00:03:12.280
trailers that have come out, it looks fun, it looks inspirational,
57
00:03:12.520 --> 00:03:16.319
it looks heartwarming, it looks heartbreaking, and you've got Ryan Gosling.
58
00:03:16.039 --> 00:03:17.360
And I'll think you're word for it because I don't
59
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:18.400
watch trailers anymore.
60
00:03:18.520 --> 00:03:18.680
Ah.
61
00:03:18.759 --> 00:03:22.240
Yeah, but this has been delayed. So what's the new
62
00:03:22.280 --> 00:03:23.039
release date for this?
63
00:03:23.319 --> 00:03:26.280
There is no new release date as of this Okay,
64
00:03:26.319 --> 00:03:29.280
hold on, I remember I saw recently that they've delayed
65
00:03:29.400 --> 00:03:29.840
just a little bit.
66
00:03:29.879 --> 00:03:32.879
I'm not sure why. Maybe post production, but you.
67
00:03:32.759 --> 00:03:35.520
Know, if you need to go all right now, Yes,
68
00:03:35.599 --> 00:03:38.520
it is scheduled for March twentieth, twenty twenty six.
69
00:03:38.639 --> 00:03:43.280
Okay, so that soon soon, La. I'm very much excited
70
00:03:43.319 --> 00:03:46.199
for project Hail Mary. I'm interested to see your thoughts
71
00:03:46.199 --> 00:03:48.680
on it, considering you've read the book, because I haven't
72
00:03:48.719 --> 00:03:51.719
read the book, so seeing it on screen shore some
73
00:03:51.759 --> 00:03:53.039
things get lost in translation.
74
00:03:53.159 --> 00:03:53.719
You don't reader.
75
00:03:54.800 --> 00:04:01.800
I read a bit comic bo me. Anyway, That is
76
00:04:02.199 --> 00:04:04.520
Calvin's first pick. My next pick is a film that
77
00:04:04.639 --> 00:04:07.759
is also coming out in March that I'm super excited for.
78
00:04:08.080 --> 00:04:09.800
It's a film called The Bride.
79
00:04:12.800 --> 00:04:14.039
Was I just the same.
80
00:04:16.079 --> 00:04:21.879
Before the Accident? M directed by Maggie Jillenhall, her second
81
00:04:22.560 --> 00:04:27.720
directorial feature. It's an alternate take to the whole Frankenstein
82
00:04:27.839 --> 00:04:32.079
story back at the DVD in nineteen thirty Chicago groundbreaking
83
00:04:32.120 --> 00:04:36.519
scientist Dot Fruit. You've help me pronounce this. I would
84
00:04:36.560 --> 00:04:41.040
love for you to pronounce this euphor ins Yeah, okay,
85
00:04:41.519 --> 00:04:44.720
that's kind of accurate. Brings a murdered young woman back
86
00:04:44.759 --> 00:04:47.720
to life to be a companion for Frankenstein's monster. What
87
00:04:47.839 --> 00:04:50.480
happens next is beyond what either of them could have
88
00:04:50.600 --> 00:04:53.639
ever imagined. Now, what I love about this is the
89
00:04:53.680 --> 00:04:55.879
fact that, again, like I said, it's an alternate take
90
00:04:55.879 --> 00:04:58.319
on the Frankenstein story and on top of that, an
91
00:04:58.360 --> 00:05:01.879
alternate take to the Bride of Frankenstein's story. Because we've
92
00:05:01.920 --> 00:05:06.079
gone so many Frankenstein remains, the most recent being Gaelmo
93
00:05:06.120 --> 00:05:10.040
del Toro is amazing, but the Bride always tends to
94
00:05:10.040 --> 00:05:12.759
be on a back burner. This's the universal Monster days
95
00:05:13.399 --> 00:05:17.680
and this looks like an absolute riot of a film
96
00:05:17.839 --> 00:05:21.399
in the worst and best possible way. Like it's it's
97
00:05:21.439 --> 00:05:25.680
punk rock, it's nineteen thirties gangster. It reminds me of
98
00:05:25.680 --> 00:05:28.839
a very Bonnie and Clyde story. And on top of
99
00:05:28.839 --> 00:05:31.639
that you've got Jesse Buckley as the Bride and none
100
00:05:31.639 --> 00:05:36.199
other again than Christian Bale as Frankenstein's Monster. If you
101
00:05:36.279 --> 00:05:39.439
haven't checked out the trailer, I highly recommend it. It
102
00:05:39.480 --> 00:05:41.560
will blow your socks off, I guarantee it.
103
00:05:41.560 --> 00:05:43.040
It sounds like this year is going to be right
104
00:05:43.399 --> 00:05:47.399
Ryan Gostling like Christian Bill Bale Fair.
105
00:05:48.079 --> 00:05:50.120
There are a few projects coming from These are just two.
106
00:05:50.600 --> 00:05:53.319
This will be coming out in Malaysia March sixth, twenty
107
00:05:53.360 --> 00:05:56.279
twenty six, and then out in the US March sixth
108
00:05:56.439 --> 00:05:56.959
as well.
109
00:05:57.120 --> 00:05:59.720
The next film I have needs no introduction.
110
00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:01.720
If you know me, you know I'm a huge nerd.
111
00:06:01.759 --> 00:06:04.839
You know I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so naturally
112
00:06:05.240 --> 00:06:09.120
the next film I have to pick is Mendalorian and Grogle.
113
00:06:20.920 --> 00:06:23.480
This one I watched the trailer, not by choice, it
114
00:06:23.519 --> 00:06:25.759
could be were in the cinema and we, I mean,
115
00:06:25.800 --> 00:06:28.199
it's a blessing. This we gonna watch it twice to
116
00:06:28.319 --> 00:06:34.160
some technical glitch. But Mendalorian and Grogo, what can I say? Man,
117
00:06:34.240 --> 00:06:38.519
It's Mendalorian and grog It's a featured film based on
118
00:06:38.560 --> 00:06:41.759
the TV series The Mendalorian. Yes this time around. It
119
00:06:41.839 --> 00:06:46.680
is directed by John Favreau and also starring Pedro Pascal.
120
00:06:46.839 --> 00:06:48.680
If you can even see him in the first.
121
00:06:48.439 --> 00:06:51.040
Place, I don't even know whether he's actually in the
122
00:06:51.040 --> 00:06:53.160
film or this did veal for it. So the back
123
00:06:53.199 --> 00:06:53.680
of the box.
124
00:06:54.120 --> 00:07:00.480
It continues the journey of Din know I'm going to right.
125
00:07:01.000 --> 00:07:04.399
It continues the journey of Dinger Jariin and his apprentice
126
00:07:04.480 --> 00:07:08.879
slash son Grogul. Set after season three of the show Mendalorian,
127
00:07:09.160 --> 00:07:11.399
they are recruited by the New Republic to hunt down
128
00:07:11.439 --> 00:07:14.600
remaining imperial warlords threatening the galaxy.
129
00:07:15.240 --> 00:07:17.680
I mean this, like you said the trailer, I remember
130
00:07:17.720 --> 00:07:20.240
seeing your face. I know over you you were like
131
00:07:20.439 --> 00:07:26.120
oh right, but this is gonna be the epic conclusion
132
00:07:26.439 --> 00:07:30.360
to not only the Mandalorian but apparently the whole Star
133
00:07:30.399 --> 00:07:34.319
Wars TV universe. Yep, Like, I know what surface is
134
00:07:34.360 --> 00:07:40.240
going to be in this Asoka. I was like, you
135
00:07:40.279 --> 00:07:43.399
know the things Ahsoka is gonna be in there. I
136
00:07:43.439 --> 00:07:46.000
hope Boba fet in this because you can't have a
137
00:07:46.040 --> 00:07:47.680
Mandalonian go fet.
138
00:07:48.279 --> 00:07:51.560
This movie is set to release on May twenty second,
139
00:07:51.600 --> 00:07:52.360
twenty twenty six.
140
00:07:52.600 --> 00:07:56.519
Yeah, super excited for this one. And my last film
141
00:07:56.560 --> 00:08:00.240
that I'm super excited for is a film that, not
142
00:08:00.279 --> 00:08:02.800
to say shrouded in secrecy, but there's really not a
143
00:08:02.839 --> 00:08:05.920
lot known about this film and it's called Digger.
144
00:08:13.240 --> 00:08:16.439
I'm looking at the stars and I'm like, h yes.
145
00:08:17.000 --> 00:08:22.120
Now. First of all, the poster looks fantastic. It's very
146
00:08:22.160 --> 00:08:25.879
old school house Italians. I can't remember the name. There's
147
00:08:25.920 --> 00:08:28.399
a specific artist that does this for movie posters, but
148
00:08:28.879 --> 00:08:33.159
it's very old school. No story has been announced yet.
149
00:08:33.360 --> 00:08:38.440
We've only got a teaser trailer of Gorilla Son Dirty Harry,
150
00:08:38.440 --> 00:08:42.440
which I was super excited to have. With Tom Cruise,
151
00:08:42.480 --> 00:08:45.360
there was backlit. It's just a silhouette of him dancing
152
00:08:45.759 --> 00:08:48.759
with a shovel, and from the looks of it, it
153
00:08:48.799 --> 00:08:50.559
looks like a role that I don't think we've seen
154
00:08:50.600 --> 00:08:55.639
Tom done before, because it looks he looks dishevel he's
155
00:08:55.639 --> 00:08:58.720
not long hair, he's wearing some sort of robe yes
156
00:08:58.840 --> 00:09:02.759
like that. He's sponsored by those Digger companies.
157
00:09:02.919 --> 00:09:07.399
Can Yep, they're looking at YEP literal diggers.
158
00:09:07.600 --> 00:09:11.440
Yes, the Digger. But back of the DVD. What I
159
00:09:11.480 --> 00:09:14.320
can tell you about it is that it's an upcoming
160
00:09:14.360 --> 00:09:18.480
American black comedy film director none other bet by Alejandro
161
00:09:18.679 --> 00:09:23.159
g in Narito. If I pronounce that correctly, let me try, yes,
162
00:09:23.320 --> 00:09:28.519
let me try. Where's it? Yeah, Alejandro Alejandro g in Erito.
163
00:09:30.360 --> 00:09:37.279
To so, judging from his this director's comedic background and
164
00:09:37.360 --> 00:09:40.639
his style of films as well, it's gonna be very
165
00:09:40.720 --> 00:09:42.639
not to say political, but it's going to be thought.
166
00:09:42.440 --> 00:09:46.519
Provoking but funny in in both ways. The fact that,
167
00:09:46.639 --> 00:09:51.120
again what's intriguing me is Tom Cruise's character. I want
168
00:09:51.200 --> 00:09:55.759
to see him break out of that ancient hero comfort
169
00:09:55.840 --> 00:09:58.440
zone that he has, so hopefully we'll get to see
170
00:09:58.440 --> 00:10:01.080
more of a trailer or storm of this either way.
171
00:10:01.320 --> 00:10:04.279
The rest of cast list is also stellar, with John Goodman,
172
00:10:04.320 --> 00:10:09.559
Michael Stoba, Jesse Plemer and Madiasis a few whiles. Andra Huler,
173
00:10:09.679 --> 00:10:12.720
It's it's gonna be a fantastic film, hands down. I
174
00:10:12.759 --> 00:10:14.360
don't even know what it is, but I know I'm
175
00:10:14.360 --> 00:10:17.200
going to enjoy this film. It's scheduled to come out
176
00:10:17.279 --> 00:10:20.840
March fifth, twenty twenty six, which is even in Militia,
177
00:10:21.120 --> 00:10:24.279
which is even more of Wait, did I get the
178
00:10:24.440 --> 00:10:29.120
right or did? Oh? Sorry, know, forget that because I
179
00:10:29.159 --> 00:10:31.519
got the date wrong with the Bride. I forgot to
180
00:10:31.559 --> 00:10:33.639
change that day. But it's coming out at some point.
181
00:10:34.159 --> 00:10:36.000
The next film I have for you, guys, it's kind
182
00:10:36.039 --> 00:10:39.480
of October. That's it. The second of October, second October.
183
00:10:39.559 --> 00:10:42.039
The next film. Yes, Nick, this one is quite interesting.
184
00:10:42.159 --> 00:10:46.759
Yes, what happens if you introduce No, wait, what happens
185
00:10:46.799 --> 00:10:47.639
if you mix.
186
00:10:47.559 --> 00:10:49.919
Creefing the Hunter with Nosferatu?
187
00:10:51.639 --> 00:10:55.120
You get Werewolf? Oh my god, yes, I heard about
188
00:10:55.120 --> 00:10:55.840
this Werewolf.
189
00:10:55.919 --> 00:10:58.960
Okay, so this is going to be directed by Roberty You. Yeah,
190
00:10:59.039 --> 00:11:03.200
I know, w e are it's you? You? Yeah? It's
191
00:11:03.240 --> 00:11:04.240
it's a very German.
192
00:11:05.320 --> 00:11:08.799
It's a very German spelling slash pronunciation, which I'm not
193
00:11:08.799 --> 00:11:09.840
even gonna bloody try.
194
00:11:10.919 --> 00:11:11.000
So.
195
00:11:11.159 --> 00:11:11.399
Yeah.
196
00:11:11.879 --> 00:11:15.159
The reason why I say Craven the Hunter and also
197
00:11:15.279 --> 00:11:18.879
nost Is. Because this is starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, William
198
00:11:18.960 --> 00:11:22.000
Dafoe and Lily Rose Depth. This is going to be
199
00:11:22.039 --> 00:11:25.240
directed by Robert Eggers, which is the same person that
200
00:11:25.320 --> 00:11:28.480
did Northman and also The Witch.
201
00:11:29.720 --> 00:11:31.120
Okay, back of the Box.
202
00:11:31.919 --> 00:11:33.759
I mean one of the reasons why I picked this
203
00:11:33.799 --> 00:11:38.279
is because we we are in a renaissance.
204
00:11:38.039 --> 00:11:39.720
Of classic horrors.
205
00:11:39.759 --> 00:11:44.240
Again, you realize the universal monts the horror. And when
206
00:11:44.279 --> 00:11:46.600
I saw this trailer, because no, I didn't. I did
207
00:11:46.639 --> 00:11:48.879
not see the trailer. I saw the poster voice and
208
00:11:48.960 --> 00:11:51.720
I was like, oh, this is interesting. Then I saw
209
00:11:51.720 --> 00:11:53.960
the cast and I was like, oh this is interesting.
210
00:11:54.320 --> 00:11:54.679
Yeah.
211
00:11:54.759 --> 00:11:58.200
Right Back at the Box a period of horror film
212
00:11:58.240 --> 00:12:01.480
set in the thirteenth century. It follows a small village
213
00:12:01.480 --> 00:12:04.200
grip by a terror when a creature of the night
214
00:12:04.279 --> 00:12:08.840
begins picking off its inhabitants. It's based on ancient medieval
215
00:12:10.720 --> 00:12:21.480
lacanthropy licanthropy like literal like yeah, science like like list,
216
00:12:21.720 --> 00:12:24.519
rather than modern Hollywood werewolf tropes.
217
00:12:25.080 --> 00:12:27.080
Yeah. So, so, just basing on.
218
00:12:27.120 --> 00:12:29.360
The description of this, yeah, I feel like it's going
219
00:12:29.440 --> 00:12:34.039
to be like Frankenstein and Nosfartu, where you get a
220
00:12:34.159 --> 00:12:39.159
very raw core of the classic horrors.
221
00:12:38.679 --> 00:12:41.159
That we know of. And I'm hoping this is good
222
00:12:41.279 --> 00:12:44.519
because let's just say, Hollywood has not had a very
223
00:12:44.519 --> 00:12:47.559
stellar reputation with the werewolf sort of story.
224
00:12:47.679 --> 00:12:50.759
Yeah, thea DC Dark.
225
00:12:52.399 --> 00:12:56.399
Godla you know, Gola Levels by Night people continue.
226
00:12:56.600 --> 00:13:00.519
The release date for this is December fifth, sixth, so
227
00:13:00.559 --> 00:13:01.399
it's Christmas time.
228
00:13:01.679 --> 00:13:04.960
Oh that's the perfect Christmas film. Let's go watch the Wolf.
229
00:13:05.600 --> 00:13:09.039
But I am hoping it's better because like the last
230
00:13:09.120 --> 00:13:11.840
werewolf proper werewolf film that I think I saw was
231
00:13:12.039 --> 00:13:15.480
what Benicio del Thoro's Werewolf, and then last year there
232
00:13:15.559 --> 00:13:19.559
was wolf Man, which was bloody awful because I'll never
233
00:13:19.639 --> 00:13:22.360
forgive them for the fact that we need to hide.
234
00:13:22.360 --> 00:13:26.519
Where do we go this greenhouse with canvas roof that
235
00:13:26.639 --> 00:13:30.000
see through, They'll never find us here? Oh no, how
236
00:13:30.080 --> 00:13:35.720
is the werewolf still standing on this canvas transparent roof? Anyway,
237
00:13:36.519 --> 00:13:39.879
So hopefully we Wolf is a better film because with
238
00:13:39.960 --> 00:13:42.960
that cast and that director Robert Eggers, I have faith
239
00:13:43.240 --> 00:13:45.519
then it's going to be a good film. So yes,
240
00:13:45.840 --> 00:13:48.240
after this, we are going to be delving into two
241
00:13:48.480 --> 00:13:51.279
special mentions that we each have, So stay tuned right
242
00:13:51.320 --> 00:14:00.799
after this now. I forgot to mention before we started
243
00:14:00.799 --> 00:14:03.799
recording this is that this year is going to be
244
00:14:03.840 --> 00:14:08.879
a blockbuster year for superhero fans. We've got Supergirl, Avengers, Youtubesday,
245
00:14:09.600 --> 00:14:14.000
spider Man, So I think excluding that off the this
246
00:14:14.320 --> 00:14:16.159
because I think that's a given at this point, we
247
00:14:16.240 --> 00:14:17.159
are excited that.
248
00:14:17.240 --> 00:14:21.320
So just let me list all the superhero Avengers Doomsday
249
00:14:21.559 --> 00:14:22.440
December eighteen.
250
00:14:22.639 --> 00:14:28.879
Yeah, okay, ok, hold on what I need to scroll
251
00:14:28.919 --> 00:14:30.240
and cut this part out.
252
00:14:33.480 --> 00:14:40.519
Clear face September eleventh, spider Man brand New Day, July first,
253
00:14:40.759 --> 00:14:44.559
just rap filming. Oh really, yeah, they just rapped Supergirl
254
00:14:44.679 --> 00:14:45.559
June twenty sixth.
255
00:14:47.919 --> 00:14:50.200
Let's see what else muster of the universe.
256
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:53.240
Do you consider this the universe? I mean Nobody is
257
00:14:53.279 --> 00:14:55.960
a big franchise, so that one yes excited for, as
258
00:14:56.000 --> 00:14:58.840
well the Odyssey as well as another one. Yeah, I
259
00:14:58.879 --> 00:15:02.440
mean Odyssey is on my So yeah, it's all those bigger,
260
00:15:03.200 --> 00:15:07.679
blockbuster budget, big budget films. I think those, let's give it,
261
00:15:08.279 --> 00:15:10.679
we're given, Those are we're excited for. So these are
262
00:15:10.679 --> 00:15:13.320
the ones that maybe you hadn't heard of yet but
263
00:15:13.559 --> 00:15:16.720
should be looking out for now. This one on my
264
00:15:16.799 --> 00:15:19.039
list is it's funny that I say big budget, because
265
00:15:19.039 --> 00:15:21.679
this one is a massive budget film, but something that
266
00:15:21.720 --> 00:15:23.639
I've been looking forward to for a long time, and
267
00:15:23.720 --> 00:15:26.759
it is Michael, which is, of course the Michael Jackson
268
00:15:26.799 --> 00:15:30.840
biopic Mikhael now back at the DVD. Of course, the
269
00:15:30.879 --> 00:15:34.320
story of pop superstar Michael Jackson from his extraordinary early
270
00:15:34.399 --> 00:15:37.039
days in Jackson five to the visionary Artists with creative
271
00:15:37.039 --> 00:15:40.399
Ambition feels a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer
272
00:15:40.440 --> 00:15:43.480
in the world. Now, on top of it being a
273
00:15:43.519 --> 00:15:47.000
Michael Jackson biopait, which I mean is exciting enough, the
274
00:15:47.000 --> 00:15:51.039
fact that they've cast his nephew, Jafar Jackson, who looks
275
00:15:51.080 --> 00:15:54.679
identical to him, moves the exact same way, sounds exactly
276
00:15:54.759 --> 00:15:57.320
like him as well. You can have not picked a
277
00:15:57.360 --> 00:16:01.240
better actor to play the legend dairy Artists because it's
278
00:16:01.320 --> 00:16:04.320
very difficult to step into Michael Jackson's shoes, simply because
279
00:16:04.320 --> 00:16:06.759
it's a big freaking shoot to.
280
00:16:06.879 --> 00:16:07.759
Fit in man.
281
00:16:07.919 --> 00:16:12.840
And also it's that whole race issue as well, especially
282
00:16:12.960 --> 00:16:21.120
after the Joseph finds Michael Jackson. For some series, things
283
00:16:21.200 --> 00:16:25.320
quieted down with Evil playing Michael Jackson because they got
284
00:16:25.720 --> 00:16:30.720
very very white actor Joseph fines Shakespearean trained to playing
285
00:16:30.720 --> 00:16:37.639
Michael Jackson. Oh mate, yep, yeah for real, it's just
286
00:16:37.679 --> 00:16:38.399
like a real thing.
287
00:16:38.559 --> 00:16:38.759
Yeah.
288
00:16:38.799 --> 00:16:43.960
It was for a series talking about celebrity interactions and
289
00:16:44.000 --> 00:16:47.679
funny stories, and it wasn't a funny or Die schedule.
290
00:16:47.679 --> 00:16:50.600
It's like a legit series. This episode caused a lot
291
00:16:50.639 --> 00:16:57.679
of controversy. So yes, this one is done very well.
292
00:16:57.720 --> 00:17:00.240
The trailer has already come out. It looks excited, it
293
00:17:00.320 --> 00:17:02.840
looks fun, it looks nostalgic, and it will be coming
294
00:17:02.840 --> 00:17:06.160
out in Malaysia on the twenty third of April twenty
295
00:17:06.240 --> 00:17:06.920
twenty six.
296
00:17:07.240 --> 00:17:08.640
I mean, my next film is a bit of a
297
00:17:08.640 --> 00:17:11.319
copouler because we're saying no big budget, right, but my
298
00:17:11.400 --> 00:17:16.000
honorable mentions are really like like if we were to
299
00:17:16.240 --> 00:17:18.359
use it in gaming terms, this yeah, like the triple
300
00:17:18.599 --> 00:17:21.079
the Triple A in films.
301
00:17:21.119 --> 00:17:26.240
Okay, first one is Dune Party. Oh I, Dune one
302
00:17:26.319 --> 00:17:29.079
was amazing, and we're going again Dune Today. June two
303
00:17:29.160 --> 00:17:29.640
was amazing.
304
00:17:29.720 --> 00:17:33.599
Yeah, and just wrap things up, you know, Dune three
305
00:17:33.799 --> 00:17:37.359
is it would be the lt R of this century.
306
00:17:37.519 --> 00:17:40.200
Yes, yeah, right, this is what I would have. No,
307
00:17:40.440 --> 00:17:40.920
I agree.
308
00:17:41.160 --> 00:17:42.960
I don't even need to tell you the back of
309
00:17:43.000 --> 00:17:44.319
the Box. I don't even need to tell you the
310
00:17:44.359 --> 00:17:46.880
main actor. I don't even need tell you the director.
311
00:17:46.960 --> 00:17:49.160
It's just Dune Part three.
312
00:17:49.200 --> 00:17:52.160
That's all you need to know do. I am excited
313
00:17:52.200 --> 00:17:54.559
for the day itself because I want to see how
314
00:17:54.599 --> 00:17:56.920
many people are going to do a full day marathon
315
00:17:57.000 --> 00:18:00.519
of watching Dune and then Adventures Doomsday at the same time.
316
00:18:00.759 --> 00:18:04.160
Yep, Dunesday, Dune's Day.
317
00:18:04.640 --> 00:18:08.440
Now mine is my last choice is a film that's
318
00:18:08.440 --> 00:18:11.599
actually coming out really really soon, sixteenth of January, literally
319
00:18:12.079 --> 00:18:16.480
at time of recording next week. I think, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
320
00:18:16.519 --> 00:18:19.359
time of recording next week. But what I'm excited for
321
00:18:19.519 --> 00:18:22.799
is it is the reunion of the lovable Matt Damon
322
00:18:22.839 --> 00:18:26.960
and Ben Affleck finally. So the rip is premier on
323
00:18:27.000 --> 00:18:29.079
Netflix and back of the Box is a group of
324
00:18:29.119 --> 00:18:32.880
Miami cups discover a stash of millions in cash, leading
325
00:18:32.920 --> 00:18:36.039
to distrust as outsiders learned about the seizure, making them
326
00:18:36.119 --> 00:18:37.680
question who to rely on.
327
00:18:39.200 --> 00:18:40.720
I mean, I didn't even.
328
00:18:40.599 --> 00:18:43.240
Have to know the story. I saw the poster. Matt Damon,
329
00:18:43.279 --> 00:18:46.240
Ben Affleck, I'm told because I have not seen them
330
00:18:46.279 --> 00:18:49.680
on screen in a long time. Jay and Silent Bob
331
00:18:49.759 --> 00:18:52.640
do not count what kind of but you know what
332
00:18:52.680 --> 00:18:55.960
I mean. Anyway, So seeing them back on screen again
333
00:18:56.039 --> 00:18:59.079
in this drama, it looks action packed, it looks intense,
334
00:18:59.119 --> 00:18:59.960
it looks dramatic.
335
00:19:00.559 --> 00:19:01.039
I'm all in.
336
00:19:01.480 --> 00:19:03.039
I'm all in just for the fact that it's Matt
337
00:19:04.559 --> 00:19:08.519
Simple and Steven Jana as well, Tianna Taylor, Catalina Sandino
338
00:19:08.599 --> 00:19:11.480
Moreno and Kyle Chandler as well are joining the crew.
339
00:19:11.720 --> 00:19:14.079
Clap three two one.
340
00:19:15.799 --> 00:19:20.759
What's that really? Okay? Okay, yeah, that's one three two one.
341
00:19:21.480 --> 00:19:23.839
And the final film I have is also another cop out.
342
00:19:23.920 --> 00:19:27.200
This is the Odyssey Ristepher Nolan Odyssey.
343
00:19:28.960 --> 00:19:30.359
Do I even want to go back back to the
344
00:19:30.359 --> 00:19:35.000
box because because the odensey, I mean, like I've only.
345
00:19:34.799 --> 00:19:36.240
Want uh uh.
346
00:19:36.640 --> 00:19:38.920
Looked at one poster, which is the one with the
347
00:19:38.920 --> 00:19:39.599
golden spines.
348
00:19:39.680 --> 00:19:41.160
Yes, I don't think there's a trailer.
349
00:19:41.319 --> 00:19:44.079
Yeah, it is tail trailers already not watching it, Okay,
350
00:19:44.240 --> 00:19:48.000
I know that's Matt Damon, Yes, I know, Madamon.
351
00:19:49.319 --> 00:19:54.039
Yeah, it's it's the Odyssey, dude, It's it's it's Nolan.
352
00:19:54.240 --> 00:19:56.079
It's the Odyssey. That's it.
353
00:19:56.119 --> 00:19:59.240
That's the all you need to Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Robert
354
00:19:59.240 --> 00:20:05.039
Pattinson and dire uh who else? And Hathaway and Hathaway
355
00:20:06.440 --> 00:20:07.920
surprisingly not Christian Bale.
356
00:20:08.160 --> 00:20:12.400
It's not Silian. But the Odyssey. Okay. For people who
357
00:20:12.400 --> 00:20:16.000
don't know literature, notes will know The Odyssey is one
358
00:20:16.039 --> 00:20:20.039
of the most, if not epic books in history. Like
359
00:20:20.119 --> 00:20:24.799
I must read. I haven't read it, to be by
360
00:20:25.079 --> 00:20:28.079
I haven't, but it's homeless the Odyssey. It's a classic
361
00:20:28.200 --> 00:20:31.599
in and of itself. It's Greek mythology. And who better
362
00:20:31.680 --> 00:20:34.599
to direct a film of this stature than Christopher Nolan?
363
00:20:34.720 --> 00:20:35.000
Correct?
364
00:20:35.319 --> 00:20:39.160
So you know what, just like Oppenheimer, you say, Nolan,
365
00:20:39.319 --> 00:20:42.839
we will go and see it. When is that coming out? Yeah?
366
00:20:43.279 --> 00:20:46.640
I think sometime end of this year, right at some point,
367
00:20:47.119 --> 00:20:49.599
which we should have on the PC, which we didn't
368
00:20:49.880 --> 00:20:52.680
because you know, when Carapatos.
369
00:20:53.599 --> 00:20:55.200
July seventeen, twenty twenty six.
370
00:20:55.319 --> 00:20:57.079
There we go, so middle of the old some of them.
371
00:20:57.880 --> 00:21:00.640
I'm spoilt. Now, why no I saw pictures. I don't
372
00:21:00.640 --> 00:21:04.000
see pictures his pictures of them in the uniform. I
373
00:21:04.119 --> 00:21:07.640
like to go into films raw man like like I don't.
374
00:21:07.480 --> 00:21:08.920
Know, like The Monkey for example.
375
00:21:09.880 --> 00:21:13.240
Yeah, like I negue, like if we will have if
376
00:21:13.279 --> 00:21:16.319
we were to record like raw reactions of us watching
377
00:21:16.319 --> 00:21:17.640
it without watching any.
378
00:21:17.839 --> 00:21:20.359
Pictures, videos, trailers, you name it.
379
00:21:20.440 --> 00:21:23.759
Yeah, that is like the most authentic version of what the.
380
00:21:25.240 --> 00:21:25.559
Yeah?
381
00:21:25.599 --> 00:21:27.519
But yeah, what I am Okay. Last thing that I
382
00:21:27.519 --> 00:21:31.200
want to mention, especially because we know Nolan, Yeah, I
383
00:21:31.240 --> 00:21:34.000
know him very well. I've got his personal phone number, Like, hey, Nolan,
384
00:21:34.039 --> 00:21:39.720
what the fuck? But Nolan is is famous for doing
385
00:21:39.759 --> 00:21:43.240
things practical, and I just want to see what he
386
00:21:43.359 --> 00:21:47.200
does with the giant monsters, the giant greet monsters, Like
387
00:21:47.759 --> 00:21:50.039
did he go back to the days of stop motion
388
00:21:50.240 --> 00:21:52.880
to do it or did he get giant men in
389
00:21:52.920 --> 00:21:55.880
assumed to do it. I'm just like, let's see. I
390
00:21:55.960 --> 00:21:58.440
love to see his practical effects. So that's another thing
391
00:21:58.440 --> 00:22:00.799
that I'm excited for the Odyssey. So yeah, yeah, that
392
00:22:00.920 --> 00:22:04.359
has been our list for twenty twenty six. We are
393
00:22:04.440 --> 00:22:06.839
very excited for a lot of films this year, and
394
00:22:06.839 --> 00:22:09.480
we're excited to share them with you throughout the year.
395
00:22:09.799 --> 00:22:11.960
So stay tuned for all of these reviews because they
396
00:22:12.000 --> 00:22:15.640
will be coming to you. Always follow our Instagram, TikTok
397
00:22:15.720 --> 00:22:19.559

hearing it here first. That's all I want to say, Patreon, clapercorn.
400
00:22:28.799 --> 00:22:31.480
So until next time, I have been Nick, Dorian and
401
00:22:31.519 --> 00:22:34.480
I have been coming as always. Keep watching the movies.
402
00:22:34.519 --> 00:22:36.599
Who didn't happy to here like
1
00:00:00.200 --> 00:00:15.439
Three, two one, twenty twenty six has a rived everyone,
2
00:00:15.880 --> 00:00:18.559
which only means one thing, the whole bunch of films.
3
00:00:18.559 --> 00:00:20.640
We're excited for this lunch, and we're going to get
4
00:00:20.719 --> 00:00:23.399
right into it, right into it, right after this, after this.
5
00:00:30.719 --> 00:00:33.960
Hello there, copperheads, and welcome to a brand new edition
6
00:00:34.200 --> 00:00:35.159
of Clap at All.
7
00:00:35.280 --> 00:00:36.960
This is anything. My name is Kevin Tate.
8
00:00:37.039 --> 00:00:39.079
There we go, and like we said at the beginning,
9
00:00:39.280 --> 00:00:42.280
we are going to be discussing our top films for
10
00:00:42.439 --> 00:00:46.359
twenty twenty six that we are absolutely excited for absolutely now.
11
00:00:46.399 --> 00:00:49.640
Similar to our last episode, which recap the best of
12
00:00:49.679 --> 00:00:53.119
twenty twenty five, we've got three ones that we're really
13
00:00:53.159 --> 00:00:57.240
excited for and two special mentions. So since you started
14
00:00:57.280 --> 00:00:59.359
that one first, I want to go first with mine.
15
00:01:00.119 --> 00:01:03.520
My first film is a film that I didn't expect
16
00:01:03.520 --> 00:01:06.120
to have this particular actor in, but I'm very happy
17
00:01:06.159 --> 00:01:09.439
he is anyway. It's a film called Madden, about the
18
00:01:09.480 --> 00:01:14.319
story of the very famous NFL commentator coach John Madden.
19
00:01:14.719 --> 00:01:16.680
I was just about to joke like Madden the game,
20
00:01:16.760 --> 00:01:19.519
and I realized, yes.
21
00:01:18.879 --> 00:01:21.519
It's exactly Mad in the game, and who is playing
22
00:01:21.599 --> 00:01:27.079
John Madden? Nicholas Cage and I'm always very happy when
23
00:01:27.200 --> 00:01:28.959
Nicholas Cage is not screen.
24
00:01:29.079 --> 00:01:30.439
It's really Nicholas Cage.
25
00:01:30.719 --> 00:01:33.519
But on top of that, we've also got Christian Bale
26
00:01:33.599 --> 00:01:36.680
as his partner Al Davis, who was famously his sports
27
00:01:36.719 --> 00:01:38.799
commentating partner. I don't know much about the NFL, so
28
00:01:38.879 --> 00:01:41.120
if I'm getting these facts wrong, don't blame me.
29
00:01:41.239 --> 00:01:42.159
We are not Americans.
30
00:01:42.400 --> 00:01:45.719
NFL is not popular here, yes, but I'm very excited
31
00:01:45.760 --> 00:01:48.840
for this just to see Nicholas Cage do something that
32
00:01:48.879 --> 00:01:52.200
I think we don't expect of him, like really go
33
00:01:52.319 --> 00:01:54.239
back to the days of leaving Las Vegas when he
34
00:01:54.280 --> 00:01:56.519
was an actor as actor, yes, yes, yes, And I
35
00:01:56.519 --> 00:01:59.359
mean you've got Christian Bale as an acting partner. You're
36
00:01:59.400 --> 00:02:01.519
going to have to off a stellar performance to match
37
00:02:01.599 --> 00:02:04.359
Christian Bale. So this is going to be coming out
38
00:02:04.480 --> 00:02:08.479
November twenty sixth. In twenty twenty six no word on
39
00:02:08.560 --> 00:02:11.560
whether it's coming out here hopefully, because I would love
40
00:02:11.599 --> 00:02:13.000
to see this on the big screen, but if not,
41
00:02:13.919 --> 00:02:15.840
well wait for it on digital. So yeah, my first
42
00:02:15.879 --> 00:02:16.879
play would be Madden.
43
00:02:17.080 --> 00:02:19.360
And my first pick is this movie that I've talked
44
00:02:19.400 --> 00:02:21.840
about again and again because I've read the book. It
45
00:02:22.000 --> 00:02:38.159
is a movie that is titled Project Helly Mary. Yeah,
46
00:02:38.199 --> 00:02:41.159
directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the same person
47
00:02:41.199 --> 00:02:44.680
who did Spider Verse and the Lego Movie, and it
48
00:02:44.800 --> 00:02:47.759
is starring no other than Ryan Gosling.
49
00:02:48.159 --> 00:02:50.960
I'm super excited for this one. Yeah, man, I when
50
00:02:50.960 --> 00:02:53.120
I first thought for people who don't know.
51
00:02:53.159 --> 00:02:58.439
Project Hill is written by the same author and deware
52
00:02:59.039 --> 00:03:03.000
of the Martian and dude, that's that's that's all, man,
53
00:03:03.120 --> 00:03:05.280
it's broke. If you like The Mushian, you probably love
54
00:03:05.360 --> 00:03:05.800
this one too.
55
00:03:06.039 --> 00:03:08.280
And I mean, judging from the trailer, the first two
56
00:03:08.280 --> 00:03:12.280
trailers that have come out, it looks fun, it looks inspirational,
57
00:03:12.520 --> 00:03:16.319
it looks heartwarming, it looks heartbreaking, and you've got Ryan Gosling.
58
00:03:16.039 --> 00:03:17.360
And I'll think you're word for it because I don't
59
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:18.400
watch trailers anymore.
60
00:03:18.520 --> 00:03:18.680
Ah.
61
00:03:18.759 --> 00:03:22.240
Yeah, but this has been delayed. So what's the new
62
00:03:22.280 --> 00:03:23.039
release date for this?
63
00:03:23.319 --> 00:03:26.280
There is no new release date as of this Okay,
64
00:03:26.319 --> 00:03:29.280
hold on, I remember I saw recently that they've delayed
65
00:03:29.400 --> 00:03:29.840
just a little bit.
66
00:03:29.879 --> 00:03:32.879
I'm not sure why. Maybe post production, but you.
67
00:03:32.759 --> 00:03:35.520
Know, if you need to go all right now, Yes,
68
00:03:35.599 --> 00:03:38.520
it is scheduled for March twentieth, twenty twenty six.
69
00:03:38.639 --> 00:03:43.280
Okay, so that soon soon, La. I'm very much excited
70
00:03:43.319 --> 00:03:46.199
for project Hail Mary. I'm interested to see your thoughts
71
00:03:46.199 --> 00:03:48.680
on it, considering you've read the book, because I haven't
72
00:03:48.719 --> 00:03:51.719
read the book, so seeing it on screen shore some
73
00:03:51.759 --> 00:03:53.039
things get lost in translation.
74
00:03:53.159 --> 00:03:53.719
You don't reader.
75
00:03:54.800 --> 00:04:01.800
I read a bit comic bo me. Anyway, That is
76
00:04:02.199 --> 00:04:04.520
Calvin's first pick. My next pick is a film that
77
00:04:04.639 --> 00:04:07.759
is also coming out in March that I'm super excited for.
78
00:04:08.080 --> 00:04:09.800
It's a film called The Bride.
79
00:04:12.800 --> 00:04:14.039
Was I just the same.
80
00:04:16.079 --> 00:04:21.879
Before the Accident? M directed by Maggie Jillenhall, her second
81
00:04:22.560 --> 00:04:27.720
directorial feature. It's an alternate take to the whole Frankenstein
82
00:04:27.839 --> 00:04:32.079
story back at the DVD in nineteen thirty Chicago groundbreaking
83
00:04:32.120 --> 00:04:36.519
scientist Dot Fruit. You've help me pronounce this. I would
84
00:04:36.560 --> 00:04:41.040
love for you to pronounce this euphor ins Yeah, okay,
85
00:04:41.519 --> 00:04:44.720
that's kind of accurate. Brings a murdered young woman back
86
00:04:44.759 --> 00:04:47.720
to life to be a companion for Frankenstein's monster. What
87
00:04:47.839 --> 00:04:50.480
happens next is beyond what either of them could have
88
00:04:50.600 --> 00:04:53.639
ever imagined. Now, what I love about this is the
89
00:04:53.680 --> 00:04:55.879
fact that, again, like I said, it's an alternate take
90
00:04:55.879 --> 00:04:58.319
on the Frankenstein story and on top of that, an
91
00:04:58.360 --> 00:05:01.879
alternate take to the Bride of Frankenstein's story. Because we've
92
00:05:01.920 --> 00:05:06.079
gone so many Frankenstein remains, the most recent being Gaelmo
93
00:05:06.120 --> 00:05:10.040
del Toro is amazing, but the Bride always tends to
94
00:05:10.040 --> 00:05:12.759
be on a back burner. This's the universal Monster days
95
00:05:13.399 --> 00:05:17.680
and this looks like an absolute riot of a film
96
00:05:17.839 --> 00:05:21.399
in the worst and best possible way. Like it's it's
97
00:05:21.439 --> 00:05:25.680
punk rock, it's nineteen thirties gangster. It reminds me of
98
00:05:25.680 --> 00:05:28.839
a very Bonnie and Clyde story. And on top of
99
00:05:28.839 --> 00:05:31.639
that you've got Jesse Buckley as the Bride and none
100
00:05:31.639 --> 00:05:36.199
other again than Christian Bale as Frankenstein's Monster. If you
101
00:05:36.279 --> 00:05:39.439
haven't checked out the trailer, I highly recommend it. It
102
00:05:39.480 --> 00:05:41.560
will blow your socks off, I guarantee it.
103
00:05:41.560 --> 00:05:43.040
It sounds like this year is going to be right
104
00:05:43.399 --> 00:05:47.399
Ryan Gostling like Christian Bill Bale Fair.
105
00:05:48.079 --> 00:05:50.120
There are a few projects coming from These are just two.
106
00:05:50.600 --> 00:05:53.319
This will be coming out in Malaysia March sixth, twenty
107
00:05:53.360 --> 00:05:56.279
twenty six, and then out in the US March sixth
108
00:05:56.439 --> 00:05:56.959
as well.
109
00:05:57.120 --> 00:05:59.720
The next film I have needs no introduction.
110
00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:01.720
If you know me, you know I'm a huge nerd.
111
00:06:01.759 --> 00:06:04.839
You know I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so naturally
112
00:06:05.240 --> 00:06:09.120
the next film I have to pick is Mendalorian and Grogle.
113
00:06:20.920 --> 00:06:23.480
This one I watched the trailer, not by choice, it
114
00:06:23.519 --> 00:06:25.759
could be were in the cinema and we, I mean,
115
00:06:25.800 --> 00:06:28.199
it's a blessing. This we gonna watch it twice to
116
00:06:28.319 --> 00:06:34.160
some technical glitch. But Mendalorian and Grogo, what can I say? Man,
117
00:06:34.240 --> 00:06:38.519
It's Mendalorian and grog It's a featured film based on
118
00:06:38.560 --> 00:06:41.759
the TV series The Mendalorian. Yes this time around. It
119
00:06:41.839 --> 00:06:46.680
is directed by John Favreau and also starring Pedro Pascal.
120
00:06:46.839 --> 00:06:48.680
If you can even see him in the first.
121
00:06:48.439 --> 00:06:51.040
Place, I don't even know whether he's actually in the
122
00:06:51.040 --> 00:06:53.160
film or this did veal for it. So the back
123
00:06:53.199 --> 00:06:53.680
of the box.
124
00:06:54.120 --> 00:07:00.480
It continues the journey of Din know I'm going to right.
125
00:07:01.000 --> 00:07:04.399
It continues the journey of Dinger Jariin and his apprentice
126
00:07:04.480 --> 00:07:08.879
slash son Grogul. Set after season three of the show Mendalorian,
127
00:07:09.160 --> 00:07:11.399
they are recruited by the New Republic to hunt down
128
00:07:11.439 --> 00:07:14.600
remaining imperial warlords threatening the galaxy.
129
00:07:15.240 --> 00:07:17.680
I mean this, like you said the trailer, I remember
130
00:07:17.720 --> 00:07:20.240
seeing your face. I know over you you were like
131
00:07:20.439 --> 00:07:26.120
oh right, but this is gonna be the epic conclusion
132
00:07:26.439 --> 00:07:30.360
to not only the Mandalorian but apparently the whole Star
133
00:07:30.399 --> 00:07:34.319
Wars TV universe. Yep, Like, I know what surface is
134
00:07:34.360 --> 00:07:40.240
going to be in this Asoka. I was like, you
135
00:07:40.279 --> 00:07:43.399
know the things Ahsoka is gonna be in there. I
136
00:07:43.439 --> 00:07:46.000
hope Boba fet in this because you can't have a
137
00:07:46.040 --> 00:07:47.680
Mandalonian go fet.
138
00:07:48.279 --> 00:07:51.560
This movie is set to release on May twenty second,
139
00:07:51.600 --> 00:07:52.360
twenty twenty six.
140
00:07:52.600 --> 00:07:56.519
Yeah, super excited for this one. And my last film
141
00:07:56.560 --> 00:08:00.240
that I'm super excited for is a film that, not
142
00:08:00.279 --> 00:08:02.800
to say shrouded in secrecy, but there's really not a
143
00:08:02.839 --> 00:08:05.920
lot known about this film and it's called Digger.
144
00:08:13.240 --> 00:08:16.439
I'm looking at the stars and I'm like, h yes.
145
00:08:17.000 --> 00:08:22.120
Now. First of all, the poster looks fantastic. It's very
146
00:08:22.160 --> 00:08:25.879
old school house Italians. I can't remember the name. There's
147
00:08:25.920 --> 00:08:28.399
a specific artist that does this for movie posters, but
148
00:08:28.879 --> 00:08:33.159
it's very old school. No story has been announced yet.
149
00:08:33.360 --> 00:08:38.440
We've only got a teaser trailer of Gorilla Son Dirty Harry,
150
00:08:38.440 --> 00:08:42.440
which I was super excited to have. With Tom Cruise,
151
00:08:42.480 --> 00:08:45.360
there was backlit. It's just a silhouette of him dancing
152
00:08:45.759 --> 00:08:48.759
with a shovel, and from the looks of it, it
153
00:08:48.799 --> 00:08:50.559
looks like a role that I don't think we've seen
154
00:08:50.600 --> 00:08:55.639
Tom done before, because it looks he looks dishevel he's
155
00:08:55.639 --> 00:08:58.720
not long hair, he's wearing some sort of robe yes
156
00:08:58.840 --> 00:09:02.759
like that. He's sponsored by those Digger companies.
157
00:09:02.919 --> 00:09:07.399
Can Yep, they're looking at YEP literal diggers.
158
00:09:07.600 --> 00:09:11.440
Yes, the Digger. But back of the DVD. What I
159
00:09:11.480 --> 00:09:14.320
can tell you about it is that it's an upcoming
160
00:09:14.360 --> 00:09:18.480
American black comedy film director none other bet by Alejandro
161
00:09:18.679 --> 00:09:23.159
g in Narito. If I pronounce that correctly, let me try, yes,
162
00:09:23.320 --> 00:09:28.519
let me try. Where's it? Yeah, Alejandro Alejandro g in Erito.
163
00:09:30.360 --> 00:09:37.279
To so, judging from his this director's comedic background and
164
00:09:37.360 --> 00:09:40.639
his style of films as well, it's gonna be very
165
00:09:40.720 --> 00:09:42.639
not to say political, but it's going to be thought.
166
00:09:42.440 --> 00:09:46.519
Provoking but funny in in both ways. The fact that,
167
00:09:46.639 --> 00:09:51.120
again what's intriguing me is Tom Cruise's character. I want
168
00:09:51.200 --> 00:09:55.759
to see him break out of that ancient hero comfort
169
00:09:55.840 --> 00:09:58.440
zone that he has, so hopefully we'll get to see
170
00:09:58.440 --> 00:10:01.080
more of a trailer or storm of this either way.
171
00:10:01.320 --> 00:10:04.279
The rest of cast list is also stellar, with John Goodman,
172
00:10:04.320 --> 00:10:09.559
Michael Stoba, Jesse Plemer and Madiasis a few whiles. Andra Huler,
173
00:10:09.679 --> 00:10:12.720
It's it's gonna be a fantastic film, hands down. I
174
00:10:12.759 --> 00:10:14.360
don't even know what it is, but I know I'm
175
00:10:14.360 --> 00:10:17.200
going to enjoy this film. It's scheduled to come out
176
00:10:17.279 --> 00:10:20.840
March fifth, twenty twenty six, which is even in Militia,
177
00:10:21.120 --> 00:10:24.279
which is even more of Wait, did I get the
178
00:10:24.440 --> 00:10:29.120
right or did? Oh? Sorry, know, forget that because I
179
00:10:29.159 --> 00:10:31.519
got the date wrong with the Bride. I forgot to
180
00:10:31.559 --> 00:10:33.639
change that day. But it's coming out at some point.
181
00:10:34.159 --> 00:10:36.000
The next film I have for you, guys, it's kind
182
00:10:36.039 --> 00:10:39.480
of October. That's it. The second of October, second October.
183
00:10:39.559 --> 00:10:42.039
The next film. Yes, Nick, this one is quite interesting.
184
00:10:42.159 --> 00:10:46.759
Yes, what happens if you introduce No, wait, what happens
185
00:10:46.799 --> 00:10:47.639
if you mix.
186
00:10:47.559 --> 00:10:49.919
Creefing the Hunter with Nosferatu?
187
00:10:51.639 --> 00:10:55.120
You get Werewolf? Oh my god, yes, I heard about
188
00:10:55.120 --> 00:10:55.840
this Werewolf.
189
00:10:55.919 --> 00:10:58.960
Okay, so this is going to be directed by Roberty You. Yeah,
190
00:10:59.039 --> 00:11:03.200
I know, w e are it's you? You? Yeah? It's
191
00:11:03.240 --> 00:11:04.240
it's a very German.
192
00:11:05.320 --> 00:11:08.799
It's a very German spelling slash pronunciation, which I'm not
193
00:11:08.799 --> 00:11:09.840
even gonna bloody try.
194
00:11:10.919 --> 00:11:11.000
So.
195
00:11:11.159 --> 00:11:11.399
Yeah.
196
00:11:11.879 --> 00:11:15.159
The reason why I say Craven the Hunter and also
197
00:11:15.279 --> 00:11:18.879
nost Is. Because this is starring Aaron Taylor Johnson, William
198
00:11:18.960 --> 00:11:22.000
Dafoe and Lily Rose Depth. This is going to be
199
00:11:22.039 --> 00:11:25.240
directed by Robert Eggers, which is the same person that
200
00:11:25.320 --> 00:11:28.480
did Northman and also The Witch.
201
00:11:29.720 --> 00:11:31.120
Okay, back of the Box.
202
00:11:31.919 --> 00:11:33.759
I mean one of the reasons why I picked this
203
00:11:33.799 --> 00:11:38.279
is because we we are in a renaissance.
204
00:11:38.039 --> 00:11:39.720
Of classic horrors.
205
00:11:39.759 --> 00:11:44.240
Again, you realize the universal monts the horror. And when
206
00:11:44.279 --> 00:11:46.600
I saw this trailer, because no, I didn't. I did
207
00:11:46.639 --> 00:11:48.879
not see the trailer. I saw the poster voice and
208
00:11:48.960 --> 00:11:51.720
I was like, oh, this is interesting. Then I saw
209
00:11:51.720 --> 00:11:53.960
the cast and I was like, oh this is interesting.
210
00:11:54.320 --> 00:11:54.679
Yeah.
211
00:11:54.759 --> 00:11:58.200
Right Back at the Box a period of horror film
212
00:11:58.240 --> 00:12:01.480
set in the thirteenth century. It follows a small village
213
00:12:01.480 --> 00:12:04.200
grip by a terror when a creature of the night
214
00:12:04.279 --> 00:12:08.840
begins picking off its inhabitants. It's based on ancient medieval
215
00:12:10.720 --> 00:12:21.480
lacanthropy licanthropy like literal like yeah, science like like list,
216
00:12:21.720 --> 00:12:24.519
rather than modern Hollywood werewolf tropes.
217
00:12:25.080 --> 00:12:27.080
Yeah. So, so, just basing on.
218
00:12:27.120 --> 00:12:29.360
The description of this, yeah, I feel like it's going
219
00:12:29.440 --> 00:12:34.039
to be like Frankenstein and Nosfartu, where you get a
220
00:12:34.159 --> 00:12:39.159
very raw core of the classic horrors.
221
00:12:38.679 --> 00:12:41.159
That we know of. And I'm hoping this is good
222
00:12:41.279 --> 00:12:44.519
because let's just say, Hollywood has not had a very
223
00:12:44.519 --> 00:12:47.559
stellar reputation with the werewolf sort of story.
224
00:12:47.679 --> 00:12:50.759
Yeah, thea DC Dark.
225
00:12:52.399 --> 00:12:56.399
Godla you know, Gola Levels by Night people continue.
226
00:12:56.600 --> 00:13:00.519
The release date for this is December fifth, sixth, so
227
00:13:00.559 --> 00:13:01.399
it's Christmas time.
228
00:13:01.679 --> 00:13:04.960
Oh that's the perfect Christmas film. Let's go watch the Wolf.
229
00:13:05.600 --> 00:13:09.039
But I am hoping it's better because like the last
230
00:13:09.120 --> 00:13:11.840
werewolf proper werewolf film that I think I saw was
231
00:13:12.039 --> 00:13:15.480
what Benicio del Thoro's Werewolf, and then last year there
232
00:13:15.559 --> 00:13:19.559
was wolf Man, which was bloody awful because I'll never
233
00:13:19.639 --> 00:13:22.360
forgive them for the fact that we need to hide.
234
00:13:22.360 --> 00:13:26.519
Where do we go this greenhouse with canvas roof that
235
00:13:26.639 --> 00:13:30.000
see through, They'll never find us here? Oh no, how
236
00:13:30.080 --> 00:13:35.720
is the werewolf still standing on this canvas transparent roof? Anyway,
237
00:13:36.519 --> 00:13:39.879
So hopefully we Wolf is a better film because with
238
00:13:39.960 --> 00:13:42.960
that cast and that director Robert Eggers, I have faith
239
00:13:43.240 --> 00:13:45.519
then it's going to be a good film. So yes,
240
00:13:45.840 --> 00:13:48.240
after this, we are going to be delving into two
241
00:13:48.480 --> 00:13:51.279
special mentions that we each have, So stay tuned right
242
00:13:51.320 --> 00:14:00.799
after this now. I forgot to mention before we started
243
00:14:00.799 --> 00:14:03.799
recording this is that this year is going to be
244
00:14:03.840 --> 00:14:08.879
a blockbuster year for superhero fans. We've got Supergirl, Avengers, Youtubesday,
245
00:14:09.600 --> 00:14:14.000
spider Man, So I think excluding that off the this
246
00:14:14.320 --> 00:14:16.159
because I think that's a given at this point, we
247
00:14:16.240 --> 00:14:17.159
are excited that.
248
00:14:17.240 --> 00:14:21.320
So just let me list all the superhero Avengers Doomsday
249
00:14:21.559 --> 00:14:22.440
December eighteen.
250
00:14:22.639 --> 00:14:28.879
Yeah, okay, ok, hold on what I need to scroll
251
00:14:28.919 --> 00:14:30.240
and cut this part out.
252
00:14:33.480 --> 00:14:40.519
Clear face September eleventh, spider Man brand New Day, July first,
253
00:14:40.759 --> 00:14:44.559
just rap filming. Oh really, yeah, they just rapped Supergirl
254
00:14:44.679 --> 00:14:45.559
June twenty sixth.
255
00:14:47.919 --> 00:14:50.200
Let's see what else muster of the universe.
256
00:14:50.240 --> 00:14:53.240
Do you consider this the universe? I mean Nobody is
257
00:14:53.279 --> 00:14:55.960
a big franchise, so that one yes excited for, as
258
00:14:56.000 --> 00:14:58.840
well the Odyssey as well as another one. Yeah, I
259
00:14:58.879 --> 00:15:02.440
mean Odyssey is on my So yeah, it's all those bigger,
260
00:15:03.200 --> 00:15:07.679
blockbuster budget, big budget films. I think those, let's give it,
261
00:15:08.279 --> 00:15:10.679
we're given, Those are we're excited for. So these are
262
00:15:10.679 --> 00:15:13.320
the ones that maybe you hadn't heard of yet but
263
00:15:13.559 --> 00:15:16.720
should be looking out for now. This one on my
264
00:15:16.799 --> 00:15:19.039
list is it's funny that I say big budget, because
265
00:15:19.039 --> 00:15:21.679
this one is a massive budget film, but something that
266
00:15:21.720 --> 00:15:23.639
I've been looking forward to for a long time, and
267
00:15:23.720 --> 00:15:26.759
it is Michael, which is, of course the Michael Jackson
268
00:15:26.799 --> 00:15:30.840
biopic Mikhael now back at the DVD. Of course, the
269
00:15:30.879 --> 00:15:34.320
story of pop superstar Michael Jackson from his extraordinary early
270
00:15:34.399 --> 00:15:37.039
days in Jackson five to the visionary Artists with creative
271
00:15:37.039 --> 00:15:40.399
Ambition feels a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer
272
00:15:40.440 --> 00:15:43.480
in the world. Now, on top of it being a
273
00:15:43.519 --> 00:15:47.000
Michael Jackson biopait, which I mean is exciting enough, the
274
00:15:47.000 --> 00:15:51.039
fact that they've cast his nephew, Jafar Jackson, who looks
275
00:15:51.080 --> 00:15:54.679
identical to him, moves the exact same way, sounds exactly
276
00:15:54.759 --> 00:15:57.320
like him as well. You can have not picked a
277
00:15:57.360 --> 00:16:01.240
better actor to play the legend dairy Artists because it's
278
00:16:01.320 --> 00:16:04.320
very difficult to step into Michael Jackson's shoes, simply because
279
00:16:04.320 --> 00:16:06.759
it's a big freaking shoot to.
280
00:16:06.879 --> 00:16:07.759
Fit in man.
281
00:16:07.919 --> 00:16:12.840
And also it's that whole race issue as well, especially
282
00:16:12.960 --> 00:16:21.120
after the Joseph finds Michael Jackson. For some series, things
283
00:16:21.200 --> 00:16:25.320
quieted down with Evil playing Michael Jackson because they got
284
00:16:25.720 --> 00:16:30.720
very very white actor Joseph fines Shakespearean trained to playing
285
00:16:30.720 --> 00:16:37.639
Michael Jackson. Oh mate, yep, yeah for real, it's just
286
00:16:37.679 --> 00:16:38.399
like a real thing.
287
00:16:38.559 --> 00:16:38.759
Yeah.
288
00:16:38.799 --> 00:16:43.960
It was for a series talking about celebrity interactions and
289
00:16:44.000 --> 00:16:47.679
funny stories, and it wasn't a funny or Die schedule.
290
00:16:47.679 --> 00:16:50.600
It's like a legit series. This episode caused a lot
291
00:16:50.639 --> 00:16:57.679
of controversy. So yes, this one is done very well.
292
00:16:57.720 --> 00:17:00.240
The trailer has already come out. It looks excited, it
293
00:17:00.320 --> 00:17:02.840
looks fun, it looks nostalgic, and it will be coming
294
00:17:02.840 --> 00:17:06.160
out in Malaysia on the twenty third of April twenty
295
00:17:06.240 --> 00:17:06.920
twenty six.
296
00:17:07.240 --> 00:17:08.640
I mean, my next film is a bit of a
297
00:17:08.640 --> 00:17:11.319
copouler because we're saying no big budget, right, but my
298
00:17:11.400 --> 00:17:16.000
honorable mentions are really like like if we were to
299
00:17:16.240 --> 00:17:18.359
use it in gaming terms, this yeah, like the triple
300
00:17:18.599 --> 00:17:21.079
the Triple A in films.
301
00:17:21.119 --> 00:17:26.240
Okay, first one is Dune Party. Oh I, Dune one
302
00:17:26.319 --> 00:17:29.079
was amazing, and we're going again Dune Today. June two
303
00:17:29.160 --> 00:17:29.640
was amazing.
304
00:17:29.720 --> 00:17:33.599
Yeah, and just wrap things up, you know, Dune three
305
00:17:33.799 --> 00:17:37.359
is it would be the lt R of this century.
306
00:17:37.519 --> 00:17:40.200
Yes, yeah, right, this is what I would have. No,
307
00:17:40.440 --> 00:17:40.920
I agree.
308
00:17:41.160 --> 00:17:42.960
I don't even need to tell you the back of
309
00:17:43.000 --> 00:17:44.319
the Box. I don't even need to tell you the
310
00:17:44.359 --> 00:17:46.880
main actor. I don't even need tell you the director.
311
00:17:46.960 --> 00:17:49.160
It's just Dune Part three.
312
00:17:49.200 --> 00:17:52.160
That's all you need to know do. I am excited
313
00:17:52.200 --> 00:17:54.559
for the day itself because I want to see how
314
00:17:54.599 --> 00:17:56.920
many people are going to do a full day marathon
315
00:17:57.000 --> 00:18:00.519
of watching Dune and then Adventures Doomsday at the same time.
316
00:18:00.759 --> 00:18:04.160
Yep, Dunesday, Dune's Day.
317
00:18:04.640 --> 00:18:08.440
Now mine is my last choice is a film that's
318
00:18:08.440 --> 00:18:11.599
actually coming out really really soon, sixteenth of January, literally
319
00:18:12.079 --> 00:18:16.480
at time of recording next week. I think, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
320
00:18:16.519 --> 00:18:19.359
time of recording next week. But what I'm excited for
321
00:18:19.519 --> 00:18:22.799
is it is the reunion of the lovable Matt Damon
322
00:18:22.839 --> 00:18:26.960
and Ben Affleck finally. So the rip is premier on
323
00:18:27.000 --> 00:18:29.079
Netflix and back of the Box is a group of
324
00:18:29.119 --> 00:18:32.880
Miami cups discover a stash of millions in cash, leading
325
00:18:32.920 --> 00:18:36.039
to distrust as outsiders learned about the seizure, making them
326
00:18:36.119 --> 00:18:37.680
question who to rely on.
327
00:18:39.200 --> 00:18:40.720
I mean, I didn't even.
328
00:18:40.599 --> 00:18:43.240
Have to know the story. I saw the poster. Matt Damon,
329
00:18:43.279 --> 00:18:46.240
Ben Affleck, I'm told because I have not seen them
330
00:18:46.279 --> 00:18:49.680
on screen in a long time. Jay and Silent Bob
331
00:18:49.759 --> 00:18:52.640
do not count what kind of but you know what
332
00:18:52.680 --> 00:18:55.960
I mean. Anyway, So seeing them back on screen again
333
00:18:56.039 --> 00:18:59.079
in this drama, it looks action packed, it looks intense,
334
00:18:59.119 --> 00:18:59.960
it looks dramatic.
335
00:19:00.559 --> 00:19:01.039
I'm all in.
336
00:19:01.480 --> 00:19:03.039
I'm all in just for the fact that it's Matt
337
00:19:04.559 --> 00:19:08.519
Simple and Steven Jana as well, Tianna Taylor, Catalina Sandino
338
00:19:08.599 --> 00:19:11.480
Moreno and Kyle Chandler as well are joining the crew.
339
00:19:11.720 --> 00:19:14.079
Clap three two one.
340
00:19:15.799 --> 00:19:20.759
What's that really? Okay? Okay, yeah, that's one three two one.
341
00:19:21.480 --> 00:19:23.839
And the final film I have is also another cop out.
342
00:19:23.920 --> 00:19:27.200
This is the Odyssey Ristepher Nolan Odyssey.
343
00:19:28.960 --> 00:19:30.359
Do I even want to go back back to the
344
00:19:30.359 --> 00:19:35.000
box because because the odensey, I mean, like I've only.
345
00:19:34.799 --> 00:19:36.240
Want uh uh.
346
00:19:36.640 --> 00:19:38.920
Looked at one poster, which is the one with the
347
00:19:38.920 --> 00:19:39.599
golden spines.
348
00:19:39.680 --> 00:19:41.160
Yes, I don't think there's a trailer.
349
00:19:41.319 --> 00:19:44.079
Yeah, it is tail trailers already not watching it, Okay,
350
00:19:44.240 --> 00:19:48.000
I know that's Matt Damon, Yes, I know, Madamon.
351
00:19:49.319 --> 00:19:54.039
Yeah, it's it's the Odyssey, dude, It's it's it's Nolan.
352
00:19:54.240 --> 00:19:56.079
It's the Odyssey. That's it.
353
00:19:56.119 --> 00:19:59.240
That's the all you need to Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Robert
354
00:19:59.240 --> 00:20:05.039
Pattinson and dire uh who else? And Hathaway and Hathaway
355
00:20:06.440 --> 00:20:07.920
surprisingly not Christian Bale.
356
00:20:08.160 --> 00:20:12.400
It's not Silian. But the Odyssey. Okay. For people who
357
00:20:12.400 --> 00:20:16.000
don't know literature, notes will know The Odyssey is one
358
00:20:16.039 --> 00:20:20.039
of the most, if not epic books in history. Like
359
00:20:20.119 --> 00:20:24.799
I must read. I haven't read it, to be by
360
00:20:25.079 --> 00:20:28.079
I haven't, but it's homeless the Odyssey. It's a classic
361
00:20:28.200 --> 00:20:31.599
in and of itself. It's Greek mythology. And who better
362
00:20:31.680 --> 00:20:34.599
to direct a film of this stature than Christopher Nolan?
363
00:20:34.720 --> 00:20:35.000
Correct?
364
00:20:35.319 --> 00:20:39.160
So you know what, just like Oppenheimer, you say, Nolan,
365
00:20:39.319 --> 00:20:42.839
we will go and see it. When is that coming out? Yeah?
366
00:20:43.279 --> 00:20:46.640
I think sometime end of this year, right at some point,
367
00:20:47.119 --> 00:20:49.599
which we should have on the PC, which we didn't
368
00:20:49.880 --> 00:20:52.680
because you know, when Carapatos.
369
00:20:53.599 --> 00:20:55.200
July seventeen, twenty twenty six.
370
00:20:55.319 --> 00:20:57.079
There we go, so middle of the old some of them.
371
00:20:57.880 --> 00:21:00.640
I'm spoilt. Now, why no I saw pictures. I don't
372
00:21:00.640 --> 00:21:04.000
see pictures his pictures of them in the uniform. I
373
00:21:04.119 --> 00:21:07.640
like to go into films raw man like like I don't.
374
00:21:07.480 --> 00:21:08.920
Know, like The Monkey for example.
375
00:21:09.880 --> 00:21:13.240
Yeah, like I negue, like if we will have if
376
00:21:13.279 --> 00:21:16.319
we were to record like raw reactions of us watching
377
00:21:16.319 --> 00:21:17.640
it without watching any.
378
00:21:17.839 --> 00:21:20.359
Pictures, videos, trailers, you name it.
379
00:21:20.440 --> 00:21:23.759
Yeah, that is like the most authentic version of what the.
380
00:21:25.240 --> 00:21:25.559
Yeah?
381
00:21:25.599 --> 00:21:27.519
But yeah, what I am Okay. Last thing that I
382
00:21:27.519 --> 00:21:31.200
want to mention, especially because we know Nolan, Yeah, I
383
00:21:31.240 --> 00:21:34.000
know him very well. I've got his personal phone number, Like, hey, Nolan,
384
00:21:34.039 --> 00:21:39.720
what the fuck? But Nolan is is famous for doing
385
00:21:39.759 --> 00:21:43.240
things practical, and I just want to see what he
386
00:21:43.359 --> 00:21:47.200
does with the giant monsters, the giant greet monsters, Like
387
00:21:47.759 --> 00:21:50.039
did he go back to the days of stop motion
388
00:21:50.240 --> 00:21:52.880
to do it or did he get giant men in
389
00:21:52.920 --> 00:21:55.880
assumed to do it. I'm just like, let's see. I
390
00:21:55.960 --> 00:21:58.440
love to see his practical effects. So that's another thing
391
00:21:58.440 --> 00:22:00.799
that I'm excited for the Odyssey. So yeah, yeah, that
392
00:22:00.920 --> 00:22:04.359
has been our list for twenty twenty six. We are
393
00:22:04.440 --> 00:22:06.839
very excited for a lot of films this year, and
394
00:22:06.839 --> 00:22:09.480
we're excited to share them with you throughout the year.
