The teaching series on the prophet Elisha concludes as Pastor Eric teaches on 2 Kings 6:8-23.
Becoming like Jesus in every way happens not through solo spiritual effort but through a body where every part works together, anchored in truth, speaking that truth in love to one another. We grow in community.
In 2 Kings 6:1-7, Elisha performs a miracle for a seemingly small purpose: to repair a borrowed axe.
Unity in the body is grounded in something bigger than any of us. That unity is practiced through humility, gentleness, patience, and bearing with one another. Belonging is worth what it demands.
Right in the middle of Israel's collapse--sandwiched between bad king after bad king--2 Kings presents strange little stories about the prophet Elisha that show that in the middle of the mess, God is still at work.
