Dustin Domerese on Last Chance Launch, Rescuing Technology Projects, and Building Authority Through Storytelling

Technology can be powerful, but it cannot fix a broken organization.

In this episode of the Authority On Demand Podcast (formerly Authors On Mission Podcast), host Danielle Hutchinson speaks with Dustin Domerese, founder of Dynamic Consultants Group and author of Last Chance Launch, about why technology projects fail and what organizations can do differently.

With years of experience working on technology implementations, Dustin explains that many failed projects have little to do with the technology itself. Internal conflicts, poor communication, lack of alignment, broken processes, and the inability to speak up can all cause a project to go off track.

Dustin also shares why he believes projects need their own set of rights, including the freedom to change direction when the original solution is no longer the right one.

Key Takeaways:

💡 Technology problems are often symptoms of deeper organizational problems.

👥 The people using a system every day should have a voice in how that system is designed and implemented.

🗣️ Psychological safety gives people the confidence to say when something is not working.

🤝 Alignment across frontline workers, managers, and executives is critical to project success.

📋 The Project Bill of Rights helps teams make better decisions and gives them room to change course when needed.

📊 The SPEAR framework focuses on surveillance, performance, excellence, automation, and a roadmap.

🤖 AI and automation cannot create good results when the underlying business processes are not working.

🔎 An as-is assessment can uncover problems that new technology will not solve on its own.

📖 A book can become a lasting authority asset because people remember the stories and lessons behind it.

🚀 Dustin explains how Last Chance Launch is being used to build credibility, strengthen brand recognition, and support business development for Dynamic Consultants Group.

The conversation is a reminder that successful technology implementation is not only about selecting the right software. It is about understanding the business, involving the right people, creating an environment where people can speak honestly, and making sure everyone is working toward the same goal.
