INFORMAZIONI SU QUESTO EPISODIO
Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything “right” but something still feels off? In this episode, I sit down with Deidre Sirianni, founder of Radically Aligned, to talk about what it means to be out of alignment and why so many high-achieving women stay stuck in lives that look successful on the outside but feel empty on the inside. Deidre shares her story of hitting a breaking point, from building a successful wellness career to facing autoimmune disease, depression, and a relationship that disconnected her from herself. She also breaks down the framework for alignment, how to reconnect with your purpose, and how to recognize when you’re out of alignment. 00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:06.879
If you don't listen to your soul, you're going to manifest cancer and die in the next year.
00:00:07.200 --> 00:00:15.039
The symptoms of the body are messages from our soul trying to tell us something that we have not been listening to.
00:00:15.199 --> 00:00:23.519
And when we hear the message, not just hear it, but when we actually do something about the message, the message often goes away.
00:00:23.760 --> 00:00:27.359
Most people don't want to tell the story that is meant to be told.
00:00:27.519 --> 00:00:33.600
The stories that you don't want to tell hold you back from the confidence and the impact that you truly want.
00:00:33.759 --> 00:00:35.119
People crave truth.
00:00:35.280 --> 00:00:40.159
People crave people who are genuine and authentic.
00:00:40.399 --> 00:00:49.600
If you are holding a lot of your truth back in your life, people for some reason might not trust you and they might not know why.
00:00:57.600 --> 00:01:04.400
Have you ever experienced that feeling when you are standing in the middle of what appears to be a successful life?
00:01:04.480 --> 00:01:08.640
And then something inside of you whispers, this isn't it.
00:01:09.040 --> 00:01:13.280
My guest today knows that story intimately because she lived it.
00:01:13.439 --> 00:01:23.359
She built a wellness company, spoke at high-level events, had her own television segment and the sponsorships, and was miserable.
00:01:23.599 --> 00:01:30.799
Her body eventually said what her voice wouldn't, and it cost her her health, her hair, and nearly her sense of self.
00:01:30.959 --> 00:01:32.879
But here's where the story turns.
00:01:33.120 --> 00:01:39.840
The moment she chose herself over the story other people had written for her, everything began to shift.
00:01:40.079 --> 00:01:43.359
Her health, clarity, purpose, and power.
00:01:43.599 --> 00:01:59.439
And today she is a speaker, author, podcast host, and a singer, so much more on that, and is dedicated to helping impact-driven and spiritually led leaders wake up to who they are truly meant to be and bring their gifts fully into the world.
00:01:59.680 --> 00:02:09.520
She is the founder of Radically Aligned, and she uses storytelling the way the best teachers always have, as a map and medicine.
00:02:10.000 --> 00:02:14.240
It is an honor to welcome my dear friend Deedra Siriani.
00:02:14.639 --> 00:02:17.520
Oh, I am so excited to be here with you, Chrissy.
00:02:17.599 --> 00:02:19.520
We've been talking about this for a year now.
00:02:19.680 --> 00:02:22.319
And yeah, I'm really um thank you for having me.
00:02:22.400 --> 00:02:24.800
I'm really excited to dive into our conversation today.
00:02:25.120 --> 00:02:26.000
Oh, I can't wait.
00:02:26.080 --> 00:02:31.280
And amongst all of the, you know, hoopla's with mics, my mic went out.
00:02:31.360 --> 00:02:32.879
So I'm on my little headset.
00:02:33.039 --> 00:02:34.080
My Zoom went out.
00:02:34.240 --> 00:02:38.159
So you came to the table and got everything working on your end.
00:02:38.240 --> 00:02:40.639
So thank you so much for your pivot and patience.
00:02:41.280 --> 00:02:42.240
I appreciate it.
00:02:42.479 --> 00:02:44.800
Okay, so take us back to the moment.
00:02:45.199 --> 00:02:49.840
You were standing in the middle of what looked like a successful life.
00:02:50.000 --> 00:02:52.400
However, you felt completely empty.
00:02:53.280 --> 00:02:57.919
So it was about, you know, I say seven years ago, but this is about 10 years ago.
00:02:58.080 --> 00:03:05.680
I was standing in my kitchen and I was putting my fingers through my hair, as we do ladies with long hair, you know.
00:03:06.000 --> 00:03:09.759
And I realized that something fell off on the top of my head.
00:03:09.919 --> 00:03:18.000
So I grabbed my phone, I raced to the bathroom, I put it on camera mode, and I start angling at the back of my head, like, what's going on here?
00:03:18.479 --> 00:03:26.879
And I saw in the mirror that I had a bald spot that was a couple inches wide, a big circle on the top of my head.
00:03:27.039 --> 00:03:30.719
And I remember thinking to myself, how did this happen?
00:03:30.879 --> 00:03:32.319
And how do I fix it?
00:03:32.479 --> 00:03:36.879
Um, clearly the universe is trying to tell me something because it's going after my hair.
00:03:37.039 --> 00:03:41.599
And you might not be watching this, but I have really long hair and it's always been my thing.
00:03:41.680 --> 00:03:43.280
So I was freaking out.
00:03:43.840 --> 00:03:48.719
And so I went back to my kitchen for a moment to ground and to sit down.
00:03:48.879 --> 00:03:59.680
And that's when I heard this voice come out of me and say, if you don't listen to your soul, you're going to manifest cancer and die in the next year.
00:04:00.400 --> 00:04:06.960
Then I have a flashback to five years prior, the only other time I had ever heard this voice speak to me.
00:04:07.120 --> 00:04:11.280
And I'm outside, I have friends and family to both sides of me.
00:04:11.439 --> 00:04:18.800
My friend Marty is playing the guitar and he's singing the lyrics by James Twyman that goes, It's beautiful, it's true.
00:04:19.120 --> 00:04:30.000
And I'm walking down the aisle with pink roses in my hands and a big smile on my face, about to marry the man that I think I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with.
00:04:30.240 --> 00:04:35.279
And the same voice says, This just isn't going to work.
00:04:36.560 --> 00:04:40.800
Well, no one ever told me what this voice was, and it was a little inconvenient, right?
00:04:40.879 --> 00:04:43.439
I was like, uh, no, we're just gonna shove that down.
00:04:43.519 --> 00:04:44.079
And I did.
00:04:44.240 --> 00:04:45.199
I said I do.
00:04:45.279 --> 00:04:55.519
And now I'm sitting at my kitchen table and I'm like, wow, I have four different types of autoimmune disease that at the time the doctors couldn't seem to help me with.
00:04:55.839 --> 00:05:03.680
I had chronic pain in my neck and shoulders to the point where my massage therapist actually fired me.
00:05:04.560 --> 00:05:06.639
I didn't know they could do that, but they can.
00:05:06.800 --> 00:05:08.000
She just couldn't help me anymore.
00:05:08.079 --> 00:05:11.680
She's like, you need to do something different because this isn't working.
00:05:11.920 --> 00:05:14.240
And I had a vision of ending my life.
00:05:14.319 --> 00:05:16.160
I was so depressed.
00:05:16.560 --> 00:05:27.439
And every single time I was around my husband, he was always telling me who to be, how to be, what I can say, what I can't say, what I can wear, what I can't wear, who I can talk to, who I can talk to.
00:05:27.680 --> 00:05:29.519
And I remember this one moment.
00:05:29.680 --> 00:05:35.360
It's probably like the biggest moment in the relationship where everything shifted for me.
00:05:35.600 --> 00:05:38.319
I was walking out of our home and I was so excited.
00:05:38.399 --> 00:05:40.399
I just got a new job in television.
00:05:40.720 --> 00:05:44.720
And um, previous to that time, I was working in TV and radio.
00:05:44.800 --> 00:05:46.319
That was my past career.
00:05:46.800 --> 00:05:51.439
And I was practicing the intro and the extra for the segment I was doing live.
00:05:51.600 --> 00:05:56.560
And he puts his hand on my shoulder and he leans in real close and he says, Don't say anything dumb.
00:05:56.720 --> 00:05:59.199
I don't want you to look stupid on TV.
00:06:00.079 --> 00:06:20.160
And I was sitting at my kitchen table and I was like, Oh my gosh, could it be that this entire time, ever since I walked down the aisle, said I do and ignored this voice, that my soul has been speaking to me through these symptoms of disease, but I just haven't been listening.
00:06:20.480 --> 00:06:27.360
So I remember in that moment making a vow to myself that I was gonna get radically honest.
00:06:27.600 --> 00:06:32.240
I was gonna have courage to look at myself in the mirror and say, hey, listen, you co-created this.
00:06:32.399 --> 00:06:34.319
You know, it's not all one person's fault.
00:06:34.399 --> 00:06:39.759
Like you didn't listen to that voice among other voices and, you know, intuitive nudges.
00:06:40.079 --> 00:06:45.279
And the last thing was I made a vow to show up and take a massive inspired action.
00:06:45.519 --> 00:06:52.879
And so that brought me down the journey of studying deeper with shamans, studying deeper in the healing work that I was already in for close to a decade at the time.
00:06:53.040 --> 00:06:56.639
I just was ignoring one main area of my life, my relationship.
00:06:56.959 --> 00:07:04.800
And it brought me down the path of healing those three, three out of the four autoimmune diseases within just uh three months.
00:07:04.959 --> 00:07:08.879
I was able to heal naturally through actually listening to my soul.
00:07:09.040 --> 00:07:15.839
Um, my depression went away, my food sensitivities went away, my uh chronic pain in my neck and shoulders went away.
00:07:15.920 --> 00:07:24.639
And then eventually I had the courage to finally walk away from a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship that I had been in for eight years.
00:07:24.879 --> 00:07:42.000
And now today I help people transform their pain, their trauma into their greatest gifts for humanity through speaking, through creating conscious businesses of impact and actually saying the hard things and doing the hard things to live a life of radically, like being radically aligned, essentially.
00:07:42.560 --> 00:07:43.120
Woof.
00:07:43.279 --> 00:07:44.639
Thank you so much for sharing.
00:07:44.800 --> 00:07:51.839
I feel so many people can relate to the story, to the experience of ignoring those whispers.
00:07:52.000 --> 00:07:58.959
You know, we hear them so often all the time, daily, really, if you're especially if you're really tapped in and understand this.
00:07:59.199 --> 00:08:02.399
And it's it's the constant of you know ignorance.
00:08:02.480 --> 00:08:05.839
I'm not going, I'm not going to subscribe to that because am I making this up in my head?
00:08:05.920 --> 00:08:06.879
Is this really real?
00:08:07.040 --> 00:08:10.639
You know, or is it a story I'm telling myself that's not accurate, right?
00:08:10.800 --> 00:08:13.439
And I always say the body keeps the score.
00:08:13.600 --> 00:08:15.519
Like there's no way of denying that.
00:08:15.680 --> 00:08:18.480
Your body will tell you exactly where you stand.
00:08:18.639 --> 00:08:25.360
So you can't logic your way out of many situations that are already coming to the surface.
00:08:25.519 --> 00:08:34.080
So I love that you share that in the sense that it's it's just confirmation that we have to become more aware of what we're feeling.
00:08:34.159 --> 00:08:35.919
And also, I feel so important.
00:08:36.159 --> 00:08:39.200
This is, you know, part two of our environment.
00:08:39.519 --> 00:08:52.399
Our environment will absolutely have either a positive effect or a negative effect on how we feel, how we show up, our mental health, our spiritual health, emotional, physical, every aspect.
00:08:52.720 --> 00:09:02.879
So kudos to you for showing up and recognizing that and having the self-awareness and the courage, more importantly, the courage to face it head on.
00:09:03.039 --> 00:09:04.639
Uh, a lot of people don't.
00:09:05.759 --> 00:09:13.440
Well, it's hard to, it's hard to make a change in our lives when we don't want a disruption.
00:09:13.600 --> 00:09:16.720
It's like, well, if I do this thing, my life's gonna blow up.
00:09:16.879 --> 00:09:23.200
Or maybe my parents or my family or the people that I surround myself with are telling me the opposite.
00:09:23.360 --> 00:09:36.799
Like I remember going to, I got really into personal development during this time, during our relationship, because my default setting, and this is actually really common with women, and you know, more women than men have autoimmune disease.
00:09:36.879 --> 00:09:45.519
I think it's, I don't know the exact, the exact um statistic, but it's significantly higher than men because we internalize things.
00:09:45.600 --> 00:09:49.519
We're like, oh, I need to be better, I need to take this on, I need to take on this burden.
00:09:49.679 --> 00:10:02.559
So for me, anytime anything was not working in the relationship, I'm like, I have to be better, which is good because I got into personal development, but I was going to these personal development um seminars, and I'm like, I just have to take more responsibility.
00:10:02.720 --> 00:10:05.360
I have to push through it, I need to overcome this.
00:10:05.600 --> 00:10:10.399
But really, at the end of the day, it wasn't I needed to overcome anything.
00:10:10.639 --> 00:10:17.279
I needed to get out of environments that were keeping me small and holding me back from being who I really am.
00:10:17.440 --> 00:10:24.159
And that wasn't really something that was talked about too much, but I remember consulting in people and people being like, oh, you're married.
00:10:24.320 --> 00:10:25.840
You're married, you need to make it work.
00:10:26.000 --> 00:10:30.559
And it's like, well, at what cost do we have to make things work?
00:10:30.799 --> 00:10:34.559
And just like you said, Chrissy, the body keeps score.
00:10:34.639 --> 00:10:50.480
And one of the very first things that I learned when I started studying with my very first shaman when I was like, I don't know, 20-ish, was that the symptoms of the body are messages from our soul trying to tell us something that we have not been listening to.
00:10:50.639 --> 00:10:59.759
And when we hear the message, not just hear it, but when we actually do something about the message, the message often goes away, which is the symptom.
00:10:59.840 --> 00:11:01.440
And I used to think this was so BS.
00:11:01.519 --> 00:11:03.279
I was like, oh, I don't know, I don't know, right?
00:11:03.440 --> 00:11:08.720
And then I start implementing in my life everywhere except for things related to my relationship.
00:11:08.960 --> 00:11:23.440
And suddenly all of these symptoms went away when I was like, oh, I'm ignoring this part of me, or I'm not allowing this part of me to be seen, or um, I'm essentially numbing or disconnecting a part of me in order to fit into this box.
00:11:23.519 --> 00:11:26.559
And when I started doing that work, everything healed.
00:11:26.639 --> 00:11:36.720
And it's like the soul communicates through symptoms of disease, and it is the fastest way to know and see if you are out of alignment or anyone else is out of alignment.
00:11:36.799 --> 00:11:41.919
Because as we know, most disease is actually lifestyle related and it's related to stress.
00:11:42.240 --> 00:11:48.000
So clear up the stress, the places we're out of alignment, your body will heal itself a lot of the time.
00:11:48.399 --> 00:11:49.440
I believe that fully.
00:11:49.519 --> 00:11:54.720
And I'd love to have you just take us down what your definition of alignment is.
00:11:54.799 --> 00:11:57.200
It's it's such an overused word nowadays.
00:11:57.279 --> 00:12:01.519
And of course, my podcast is called aligned and alive, and your company is radically aligned.
00:12:01.600 --> 00:12:04.159
And so we both share a very similar vision.
00:12:04.240 --> 00:12:10.159
But for the listeners and and viewers, could you just really get crystal clear on what true alignment looks like?
00:12:10.480 --> 00:12:10.879
Mm-hmm.
00:12:11.440 --> 00:12:25.679
So alignment to me, so the company radically aligned, it's about embodied leadership, essentially, is the foundation of what I do and what I've always done, whether it's more like the spiritual aspect or like the business or the relational.
00:12:26.000 --> 00:12:28.159
Um, but essentially there's different pillars.
00:12:28.320 --> 00:12:33.200
So if you look at the logo, it's a triangle with a circle around it.
00:12:33.440 --> 00:12:39.600
And there's like kind of a flower in the middle of the logo of radically of radically aligned.
00:12:39.919 --> 00:12:49.600
And essentially, um, it's kind of funny because I was actually at a Brennan Burchard event, you know, years and years ago, probably 10 years ago when I toured this company.
00:12:49.919 --> 00:12:52.879
Um, and I was sitting under a tree and I was meditating.
00:12:53.039 --> 00:12:57.759
I'm like, oh, like I want to know like what is the name of my company supposed to be, right?
00:12:57.919 --> 00:13:02.399
And then no joke, Chrissy, a bird pooped on my shoulder.
00:13:03.600 --> 00:13:07.039
And uh, and then the words radically aligned came.
00:13:07.120 --> 00:13:10.879
And then, of course, like the initiations into getting into alignment came, right?
00:13:11.039 --> 00:13:13.519
So, anyways, had to tell that story.
00:13:13.759 --> 00:13:17.120
But um, the triangle, the top of the triangle is truth.
00:13:17.279 --> 00:13:17.600
Okay.
00:13:17.759 --> 00:13:20.080
So the top triangle um point is truth.
00:13:20.240 --> 00:13:25.039
And truth to me is living in truth, being truthful.
00:13:25.360 --> 00:13:32.159
And when we have truth to ourselves, to the people around us, we clear out everything that doesn't belong.
00:13:32.799 --> 00:13:41.440
So there's a quote that says something along the lines of you'll never lose something that's meant for you by being who you are, saying the truth.
00:13:41.679 --> 00:13:43.279
And I really do believe that.
00:13:43.440 --> 00:13:48.240
So, truth to me is spiritual awakening, truth to me is being in integrity with yourself.
00:13:48.399 --> 00:13:55.600
Like I had to get into integrity with myself because my body was out of integrity with my decisions and I wasn't wanting to be fully truthful.
00:13:55.759 --> 00:13:57.919
So that's the healing, it's all of those things.
00:13:58.000 --> 00:14:00.240
So it's like, hey, what is the truth?
00:14:00.320 --> 00:14:06.080
And how can I operate in the truth and continue to discover and live my life in truth?
00:14:06.320 --> 00:14:10.000
The second pillar is love, living and leading from the heart.
00:14:10.159 --> 00:14:23.759
So for me in leadership in life is if I'm giving someone a truth or I am operating in a way, is it actually coming from a place of love and care, or is it coming from somewhere else?
00:14:24.000 --> 00:14:27.279
So there was this movement that I noticed on social media.
00:14:27.440 --> 00:14:30.480
Maybe you noticed this too, but it's like speak your truth.
00:14:30.720 --> 00:14:33.759
But a lot of the truth that was being spoken was actually very harmful.
00:14:33.919 --> 00:14:37.360
And it was like to like push people down and tell them where they stand.
00:14:37.440 --> 00:14:38.320
Do you know what I mean?
00:14:39.200 --> 00:14:40.080
I remember it.
00:14:40.320 --> 00:14:40.720
Yeah.
00:14:41.039 --> 00:14:45.840
So anything that's not coming from a place of love is actually not truth.
00:14:45.919 --> 00:14:46.639
It's distorted.
00:14:46.720 --> 00:14:50.000
So that's a way of kind of clearing up how we show up in life.
00:14:50.159 --> 00:14:55.519
And also there is a quote that go that goes, what's good for you is actually good for everyone else.
00:14:55.679 --> 00:15:01.440
But if what's good for you is not good for everyone else, as far as speaking your truth and all of that, there's usually some distortion there.
00:15:01.519 --> 00:15:03.679
So again, coming back to alignment and truth.
00:15:03.840 --> 00:15:05.600
And then there's our relationships.
00:15:05.840 --> 00:15:10.399
Our relationships essentially are the quality of our life and how we feel.
00:15:10.480 --> 00:15:15.840
So looking at the relationships around us and like, do these people actually want me to succeed?
00:15:16.080 --> 00:15:17.759
Do they actually want the best for me?
00:15:17.840 --> 00:15:29.840
And unfortunately, and I'm sure you've had these experiences too, but I've had many times in my life, it happens every so many years, where I look around, I'm like, oh, that person doesn't actually want the best for me.
00:15:30.080 --> 00:15:32.960
And that there's some weird energy going on here.
00:15:33.120 --> 00:15:42.639
And then for me, clearing that out of the way in a loving way, you know, doesn't necessarily mean there's a conversation, but really looking at the relationships that we have.
00:15:42.879 --> 00:15:45.600
The next pillar is purpose.
00:15:45.919 --> 00:15:54.559
For me, purpose has been probably the most important thing in my life because when I'm on purpose, everything else comes into alignment.
00:15:54.799 --> 00:15:59.120
When I'm not on purpose, man, everything feels out of alignment.
00:15:59.279 --> 00:16:11.360
So for me, knowing what my purpose is every day, building something meaningful, being on purpose on a day-to-day basis, like there are four questions that I used to ask myself every single day.
00:16:11.440 --> 00:16:15.440
And I actually had an accountability for partner for about five years on this.
00:16:15.600 --> 00:16:18.480
And the questions are, how do I want to feel?
00:16:18.879 --> 00:16:20.879
Um, how do I want to show up?
00:16:21.120 --> 00:16:22.559
What am I committed to?
00:16:22.799 --> 00:16:24.559
And what's my desired outcome?
00:16:24.799 --> 00:16:29.519
Those four questions I would ask myself every single day before starting the day.
00:16:29.600 --> 00:16:41.759
And I would also ask myself and my clients that before I would go into session with them, or before I go and speak on stage, or before I would have like a difficult conversation, I would check in to how do I want to feel?
00:16:42.000 --> 00:16:44.159
Because I get to choose that most of the time.
00:16:44.320 --> 00:16:47.759
Of course, there's subconscious stuff, but it brings you into alignment.
00:16:48.000 --> 00:16:53.759
And then just being on purpose and doing the work that you're here to do, because I do feel like we all have a purpose.
00:16:53.919 --> 00:16:58.960
And when we're on purpose, things that are not for us naturally clear out of the way.
00:16:59.200 --> 00:17:02.399
And then I know there's a lot of pieces that I'm sharing here, Chrissy.
00:17:03.919 --> 00:17:04.400
Keep going.
00:17:04.880 --> 00:17:05.039
Okay.
00:17:05.839 --> 00:17:07.680
So those are the three points of the triangle.
00:17:07.759 --> 00:17:13.519
Then there's a circle around the triangle that's the wisdom that we're always gaining as we evolve.
00:17:13.759 --> 00:17:15.759
And it's constantly in circulation.
00:17:15.920 --> 00:17:18.240
And that's the wisdom that I'm learning in my life.
00:17:18.400 --> 00:17:23.519
Part of my purpose and being a human in this world is we're supposed to share that wisdom.
00:17:23.680 --> 00:17:25.119
We're supposed to help other people.
00:17:25.359 --> 00:17:31.599
And then the flower in the middle is self-expression, which we could say is my music, is speaking on stages.
00:17:31.839 --> 00:17:41.680
It's really being our unique self and expressing that into the world without trying to be like everyone else, because we all have a unique expression.
00:17:41.759 --> 00:17:57.759
So when we look at all of those things, like, you know, your relationships, your health, your healing, your trauma, all of those pieces, your purpose, your impact, your self-expression and the wisdom, when we put all those things together, that's how you get into radical.
00:17:58.079 --> 00:17:59.519
I meant when you're living that.
00:17:59.680 --> 00:18:02.480
And then your values, there's different layers to it.
00:18:03.359 --> 00:18:03.920
So good.
00:18:04.079 --> 00:18:10.400
And what comes to mind after hearing all of that is taking radical ownership.
00:18:10.640 --> 00:18:23.119
Like that's the very first thing I think about is not making excuses, not allowing yourself to sit in victimhood, not, you know, going down the old the old story and the old programs that are keeping you stuck and looping.
00:18:23.200 --> 00:18:25.359
And so, yes, taking radical ownership.
00:18:25.519 --> 00:18:29.200
And I like even creating the list of, you know, how am I showing up?
00:18:29.279 --> 00:18:31.200
Like, where can I, you know, where am I?
00:18:31.359 --> 00:18:45.039
Like I feel like when we take full and complete ownership, not only is it so liberating, you know, when you own your side of the street, then you can start moving forward and create monumental shifts in your life and experience even those quantum leaps.
00:18:45.200 --> 00:18:46.640
Like it doesn't have to take forever.
00:18:46.720 --> 00:18:50.000
It doesn't have to be this five-year process of becoming, right?
00:18:50.079 --> 00:18:56.400
Like you can actually step into a whole new way of being purely by the story you keep telling yourself.
00:18:56.559 --> 00:19:05.920
So I let's I think that's just a great segue going into it because you are such a fabulous storyteller, is you know, what does that look like?
00:19:06.000 --> 00:19:18.079
And when you have worked with people and we've worked together, and I can speak to our experience, which was amazing, and I can uh speak on that quickly, which was I was preparing for a women's event last year in New Mexico.
00:19:18.240 --> 00:19:21.519
It was 300 ladies, and I was the closing keynote speaker.
00:19:21.759 --> 00:19:28.799
And Deidre and I had been in an elite mastermind together, and so naturally I gravitated towards her and said, Can you help me?
00:19:29.039 --> 00:19:35.599
And I remember our first call together, and you had said, What are you thinking of speaking on?
00:19:35.759 --> 00:19:37.440
And I said, Well, this, this, and this.
00:19:37.519 --> 00:19:45.920
And then you brought me down a few uh great self-inquiry questions on my life path and how it's unfolded.
00:19:46.079 --> 00:19:54.480
And it was in my 20s that we pinpointed a very, very traumatized uh situation with an ex-boyfriend I had at the time.
00:19:54.720 --> 00:19:57.440
And we created a story out of that.
00:19:57.599 --> 00:20:01.759
And through that process, there wasn't a dry eye in the audience.
00:20:01.920 --> 00:20:03.039
It was so compelling.
00:20:03.200 --> 00:20:15.759
So I am a huge advocate of storytelling and creating that emotion within others to really experience a shift inside, not just in your mind, but in your body.
00:20:16.799 --> 00:20:17.440
I love that.
00:20:17.519 --> 00:20:18.880
And it was so fun working with you.
00:20:18.960 --> 00:20:23.680
And I was so, I was like, I I, yeah, it was it was so fun working too with you.
00:20:23.759 --> 00:20:41.920
And that story is something that, you know, the thing is as we evolve, as we grow, as we become more well-known, or even on our way of stepping into thought leadership, whether that's writing a book, getting on stage, starting a podcast, people actually want to know our character.
00:20:42.079 --> 00:20:46.880
You know, like you can be the most amazing person in your industry at what you do.
00:20:47.039 --> 00:20:50.160
And when people work with you have the biggest transformation.
00:20:50.880 --> 00:20:59.039
But if you don't get people to actually feel you on a deep level and resonate with you and trust you, it doesn't mean anything.
00:20:59.119 --> 00:21:11.039
And that's why so many amazing healers and people who are doing great work in the world are not getting the recognition or the connection that they deserve because they're not actually sharing stories.
00:21:11.279 --> 00:21:18.400
So, on the, you know, the question of stories, there's kind of two questions that I'm hearing here, or maybe, maybe I'm making them up.
00:21:18.480 --> 00:21:19.119
We don't know.
00:21:19.359 --> 00:21:20.880
Um, there's two questions.
00:21:21.119 --> 00:21:24.160
The first question is um, how do we deal with stories?
00:21:24.319 --> 00:21:26.960
Um, and I I want to kind of go to that secondly.
00:21:27.039 --> 00:21:31.839
And then how do we tell our stories or what's the importance of storytelling?
00:21:31.920 --> 00:21:32.480
Is that right?
00:21:32.720 --> 00:21:33.440
Yep, exactly.
00:21:33.599 --> 00:21:34.640
Okay, perfect.
00:21:34.799 --> 00:21:43.359
Um, so the first part is with storytelling, what I find with people is most people don't want to tell the story that is meant to be told.
00:21:43.519 --> 00:21:45.119
And I'm gonna go ahead and say it.
00:21:45.200 --> 00:21:58.000
I shared a very vulnerable story recently on social media, and it was around something that I kept internal for seven years, mainly because I it was a very vulnerable topic.
00:21:58.160 --> 00:21:59.759
It was around being a victim of.
00:22:00.720 --> 00:22:02.559
You know, sexual abuse.
00:22:02.880 --> 00:22:11.839
And um, it was very, very close to home in a way where I was protecting, I wanted to protect the people that would be affected by the story.
00:22:11.920 --> 00:22:13.279
That was a big thing for me.
00:22:13.519 --> 00:22:25.279
But also there was a layer of shame around it because I'm like, well, I'm a capable woman who is an entrepreneur, I'm strong, I'm independent, I have a good head on my shoulders.
00:22:25.599 --> 00:22:32.000
How could I end up in a relationship with someone who would harm me in this way and do that to me?
00:22:32.240 --> 00:22:37.920
And so for me, there was this layer of shame and not wanting to talk about, even though I've talked about trauma in the past.
00:22:38.000 --> 00:22:50.160
I did my TEDx on trauma, which is kind of a similar experience to what I shared about, but with this one, it was close to home because it was with a man I lived with, uh a partner of mine at the time seven years ago.
00:22:50.319 --> 00:23:00.880
So for me, what came to the surface, and I know social media is maybe a little bit different than speaking on stages, but what happened for me was I felt this call inside of me.
00:23:01.039 --> 00:23:07.039
All this stuff was coming up with the CNN reports and women and all of the things that were coming to the surface.
00:23:07.119 --> 00:23:09.839
It was like, I need to share this story.
00:23:10.240 --> 00:23:12.799
And um, I feel like I've healed from it.
00:23:12.880 --> 00:23:14.160
Like it was seven years ago.
00:23:14.240 --> 00:23:15.519
I've done a lot of trauma work.
00:23:15.599 --> 00:23:17.119
I used to teach on trauma.
00:23:17.759 --> 00:23:22.640
And I went to go record it the first time and I couldn't speak, basically.
00:23:22.880 --> 00:23:28.559
I was like, I actually messaged you, Chrissy, and I was like, I'm I don't know if I should post this.
00:23:28.720 --> 00:23:30.000
Is this too much?
00:23:30.240 --> 00:23:38.319
And then I lean into my resources, you know, because I am a professional and I want the message to be delivered in the right way, not the wrong way.
00:23:38.400 --> 00:23:41.839
And there is a right and a wrong way to share vulnerable stories.
00:23:42.079 --> 00:23:51.759
Um, so I sat with it for a few days and then I recorded it from a place of, okay, I'm calm, I can deliver the message, and it is healed, but I've never said it out loud before in that way.
00:23:51.839 --> 00:23:53.839
So it brought up a lot of emotion.
00:23:54.160 --> 00:24:12.880
So the first thing is the stories that you don't want to tell are essentially skeletons in your closet that are gonna keep you from actually being in the spotlight in your business and your life and are gonna hold you back from the confidence and the impact that you truly want.
00:24:13.119 --> 00:24:14.400
It's just fact.
00:24:14.720 --> 00:24:19.519
So am I going to say, oh, I should have told this story seven years ago?
00:24:19.680 --> 00:24:20.240
Absolutely not.
00:24:20.319 --> 00:24:23.759
I was not in a place to even fully acknowledge that that's what happened to me.
00:24:23.839 --> 00:24:26.160
I was not in a place where I had healed.
00:24:26.400 --> 00:24:47.279
But the vulnerable stories, the truthful stories that we have shame around, when we have the courage to tell them and be fully seen in like that space of truth, that is when the people that are for us are going to be like, oh my gosh, like that happened to me, or thank you for sharing that.
00:24:47.440 --> 00:24:53.200
They're gonna trust us, they're gonna know our character, they're going to feel more connected to us, and it's going to make an impact.
00:24:53.279 --> 00:24:55.920
And from that post, I got so many messages.
00:24:56.160 --> 00:25:19.680
And every single time I share something really vulnerable on a podcast or on a stage after I have refined sharing the story, because there is a process to actually sharing the story in a way that's concise, that's going to be received in the right way, but also you're not breaking down because that's actually can feel really kind of like you're dumping on your audience and you don't want to be that person.
00:25:19.920 --> 00:25:33.279
But there's this level of embodiment that happens when we share the story, we've worked through the stuff, we actually become the leader that we want to be because we've integrated the parts of ourselves that we had shame around.
00:25:33.359 --> 00:25:35.200
And we're like, hey, this is who I am.
00:25:35.359 --> 00:25:38.400
This is my experience, and I have nothing to hide.
00:25:38.559 --> 00:25:40.000
And people trust that.
00:25:40.240 --> 00:25:42.400
So that kind of answers your first question, I think.
00:25:42.559 --> 00:25:45.039
Any questions around that or what do you know?
00:25:45.119 --> 00:25:46.240
I could I couldn't agree more.
00:25:46.319 --> 00:25:52.400
And I and I just reference my own experience of what I've shared with you privately that happened, you know, last year.
00:25:52.640 --> 00:25:56.319
And I feel that there's so many gifts that were given.
00:25:56.480 --> 00:26:04.960
And so this is how we can have when you go through obviously the healing process, when you've already, you know, you're not ignoring or bypassing it, but you're actually going through it.
00:26:05.119 --> 00:26:13.359
Mine was to sit in stillness for three months, go off social media, and really take some time to myself to really process and not bypass anything.
00:26:13.519 --> 00:26:17.119
It's a very, very important part of the, I believe, the process and unfolding.
00:26:17.359 --> 00:26:26.880
And then once you go through that, you can use that as such incredible value for your audience and your next level leadership.
00:26:27.039 --> 00:26:28.319
Like that's what I've seen now.
00:26:28.480 --> 00:26:38.480
And there's this fire in my belly that is coming to the surface like I've never had before, because to your point, where I don't have any shame around anything.
00:26:38.640 --> 00:26:40.160
I have released all of that.
00:26:40.400 --> 00:26:43.519
We are humans trying to do our very, very best.
00:26:43.680 --> 00:26:47.359
And along the way, it may look a quote unquote a little messy, right?
00:26:47.519 --> 00:26:49.039
But at least we're still showing up.
00:26:49.200 --> 00:26:54.880
At least we're healing and rising above and trying to help others do the same.
00:26:55.039 --> 00:27:03.279
And so when you have that mindset and that embodiment of purpose and where you're coming from, you mentioned character early on.
00:27:03.359 --> 00:27:04.400
I couldn't agree with you more.
00:27:04.640 --> 00:27:05.920
Such a huge point.
00:27:06.240 --> 00:27:15.680
Um, it really does allow you to feel so free and not hold back to deliver that message that so many people really need right now.
00:27:15.839 --> 00:27:21.359
And yours was given through social media uh a week ago, which I thought was amazing.
00:27:21.599 --> 00:27:26.640
And, you know, very um it was, it hit me, you know, just to just to hear you go through that.
00:27:26.960 --> 00:27:31.680
You never want a friend to have to go through that and how many people you're helping throughout the process.
00:27:32.000 --> 00:27:34.799
So, yes, I I couldn't agree with you more.
00:27:34.960 --> 00:27:41.680
I feel that a lot of people don't have the courage to tell those skeletons in the closet because fear of being judged.
00:27:41.920 --> 00:27:45.440
Uh, you know, maybe it's too much, right?
00:27:45.680 --> 00:27:50.880
However, when you're right or when you're around the right people, they look at it with a totally different lens.
00:27:51.039 --> 00:27:53.519
And it's not a lens of judgment or shame.
00:27:53.839 --> 00:28:03.519
I'll tell you, um, every single person I've worked with who has told the vulnerable story, of course, there are stories that you may not be ready to share, and that is okay.
00:28:03.599 --> 00:28:05.119
It will happen over time.
00:28:05.359 --> 00:28:12.400
But all of the companies, all of the individuals I've worked with who have told the difficult stories, their business blows up.
00:28:12.559 --> 00:28:16.640
They get so much recognition, they get so many opportunities.
00:28:16.880 --> 00:28:28.640
All of a sudden, one speaking opportunity turns into a podcast tour with the top podcasters in the world, turns into magazine features, turns in all these things because those people have actually, guess what?
00:28:28.880 --> 00:28:31.200
Reached out to them because it's refreshing.
00:28:31.440 --> 00:28:33.680
The truth is refreshing.
00:28:33.839 --> 00:28:43.200
And if we're willing to tell the truth, um, in a way that's coming from more of a healed place than a raw place, because there's that too, and it can feel like trauma dumping on people.
00:28:43.279 --> 00:28:46.480
And it's not, I wouldn't hire someone that trauma dumps on me.
00:28:46.559 --> 00:28:47.599
I don't know about you.
00:28:47.839 --> 00:28:48.319
Nope.
00:28:48.799 --> 00:28:49.359
In there.
00:28:49.599 --> 00:28:51.359
Yeah, we've been there, right?
00:28:51.599 --> 00:28:58.160
But there's something refreshing about it, and more than ever, especially in the world that we live in, people crave truth.
00:28:58.319 --> 00:29:05.759
Crave uh, people crave people who are genuine and authentic and show who they are.
00:29:05.920 --> 00:29:27.200
I would rather work with someone and I would trust someone more, even if I don't agree with them, who is fully truthful than someone who acts like their life is always perfect and they they're not really because here's the thing: we can tell energetically, we have an energetic field around us, all of us, and we can pick up things that are in people's fields, just like belief systems.
00:29:27.279 --> 00:29:31.519
And we'll talk a little bit about, you know, changing people's narratives in a second here.
00:29:32.000 --> 00:29:36.000
So if I'm around you, I remember being at the mastermind that you and I were both in.
00:29:36.079 --> 00:29:38.960
And I was like instantly like, oh, Chrissy's like, we're gonna be friends.
00:29:39.119 --> 00:29:43.039
There was a few other people that instantly I was like, there's a resonance here, right?
00:29:43.279 --> 00:29:44.799
And there's a level of depth here.
00:29:44.880 --> 00:29:46.799
And I was like, okay, we're gonna, we're gonna be friends.
00:29:46.880 --> 00:29:47.759
I can just feel that.
00:29:48.000 --> 00:30:14.960
But when you're on stage or when you're leading a company or you're putting yourself out there, if you are holding a lot of your truth back in your life, people, even if you're giving a presentation, even if you're selling something amazing, even if you're doing a lot of things in alignment in your life, but you're not actually sharing the truest essence of who you are, and you have a lot of the shame in the closet, people for some reason might not trust you and they might not know why.
00:30:15.119 --> 00:30:23.599
And this happens all of the time with speakers and people putting themselves out there because they're not actually sharing the truest essence of who they are.
00:30:23.680 --> 00:30:29.759
And people pick up on that on a subconscious level and they're like, they're holding back, or I don't know why I don't want to work with them.
00:30:29.920 --> 00:30:34.400
They said all the right things, they're smart, but there's something lacking here.
00:30:34.559 --> 00:30:40.799
And it's the connection, it's the trust, it's the someone actually being okay to be fully seen in who they are.
00:30:40.960 --> 00:30:41.759
Does that make sense?
00:30:42.000 --> 00:30:42.400
100%.
00:30:42.799 --> 00:30:51.920
And I think of so many people over the years that I have hired to work with that what you just spoke on, I felt that early on.
00:30:52.079 --> 00:30:59.039
We talked about ignoring our soul whispers, um, aka intuition or inner GPS, our inner compass.
00:30:59.359 --> 00:31:01.920
And, you know, that does create wisdom.
00:31:02.000 --> 00:31:07.279
You do that enough times over the course of several years, you start really looking at things totally different.
00:31:07.440 --> 00:31:09.279
So I love that you share that.
00:31:09.440 --> 00:31:14.319
And truthful and healed is what I took away from that, more importantly.
00:31:14.799 --> 00:31:21.680
Stop going to people or seeking people out that are that are trauma bonding, that are not truthful and are unhealed.
00:31:21.839 --> 00:31:24.880
I mean, that'll keep you stuck and looping in cycles like never before.
00:31:25.599 --> 00:31:37.440
And a really good way to um see if someone is not healed as far as you working with someone is if they're telling you not to feel something or not to be yourself.
00:31:37.680 --> 00:31:39.759
And I won't mention containers.
00:31:39.839 --> 00:31:48.000
I don't even remember the containers I was in years ago, but the containers I was in, I was actually trying to process uh some trauma at the time.
00:31:48.319 --> 00:31:52.319
And it was like, oh, bypass, like, oh, go here, do this.
00:31:52.559 --> 00:32:02.640
The truth is, if you have trauma in your system or shame in your closet or something that you're working through, you actually need to bring it to the surface to acknowledge that it happened.
00:32:02.880 --> 00:32:09.599
And then with trauma, it has to be completed because trauma is essentially anything that gets frozen, time that's incomplete.
00:32:09.759 --> 00:32:22.799
So if someone keeps stifling you from actually going through a process of feeling your feelings or acknowledging what happened, that's kind of a manipulative tactic to actually prevent you from getting coming into your own truth.
00:32:22.960 --> 00:32:36.079
It's part of the process of unraveling who we are and what is for us and what's not for us and to actually access the wisdom inside of us because unhealed trauma blocks us from actually connecting to our intuition.
00:32:36.160 --> 00:32:37.359
It distorts reality.
00:32:37.519 --> 00:32:51.839
So we have to actually be truthful with ourselves and have safe spaces or safe people to work with who are gonna be like, okay, like, yeah, like this is coming up for you, and you know, work through whatever's happening so that we can come out on the other side.
00:32:52.160 --> 00:32:53.279
Thank you for sharing that.
00:32:53.519 --> 00:32:53.920
So good.
00:32:54.160 --> 00:33:06.559
Rewind that, listen to it again, because that's exactly what the process looks like, especially nowadays with so many gurus online and spiritual leaders and Reiki masters and all the things, right?
00:33:06.640 --> 00:33:08.400
That are it's in the spiritual space.
00:33:08.640 --> 00:33:13.279
And there's a lot of smoke and mirrors, a lot of smoke and mirrors out there.
00:33:13.440 --> 00:33:23.519
And so, you know, I think Gabrielle Bernstein at one point said many years ago that she didn't feel you needed to be completely healed to lead.
00:33:23.680 --> 00:33:36.799
And I subscribed to that thought for a while until I went through it myself on the receiving end of hiring these practitioners and therapists and leaders that were truly unhealed.
00:33:36.880 --> 00:33:47.599
And it only leaked onto me and kept me in a cycle that kept me small, kept me sick, kept me looping and going crazy, so to speak.
00:33:47.839 --> 00:33:49.200
So thank you for sharing that.
00:33:49.279 --> 00:33:51.920
I think that's so important to really understand.
00:33:53.599 --> 00:34:05.119
And going to your other question around how do we change stories, I know this is something that you and I have voiced on it back and forth on, and I so appreciate is a lot of the time we'll have a story about ourselves, right?
00:34:05.279 --> 00:34:10.880
And the story is, you know, I'm thinking of a client of mine recently who had an experience with a healer.
00:34:11.039 --> 00:34:18.079
Um, I won't say too much about it outside of um, this person was told the healer can't help them and they need to go to a lot of therapy.
00:34:18.320 --> 00:34:21.599
And I was like, you actually don't need to go to a lot of therapy.
00:34:21.840 --> 00:34:29.039
You actually just need to practice being seen and being okay with where you're at and your emotions, because our emotions aren't actually wrong.
00:34:29.199 --> 00:34:32.880
Our emotions teach us what is for us and what's not for us.
00:34:32.960 --> 00:34:40.559
And when we actually feel our emotions, which should only be like 90 seconds, is how long emotions will last if we actually give ourselves permission to feel it.
00:34:40.719 --> 00:34:42.480
We have wisdom on the other side and clarity.
00:34:42.639 --> 00:34:51.199
So anyone who's like, whoa, like you have a lot going on, they're actually kind of avoiding themselves and don't have the tools for you, which is totally fine.
00:34:51.440 --> 00:34:52.559
But emotions are okay.
00:34:52.639 --> 00:34:55.920
I've had a lot of big emotions come up recently with everything going on in the world.
00:34:56.000 --> 00:34:57.599
And it's like, no, this is sacred rage.
00:34:57.679 --> 00:34:58.880
I want to be a part of the change.
00:34:58.960 --> 00:35:05.440
I want to help women, I want to protect women, I want to educate men, I want consequences to certain things that are going on.
00:35:05.679 --> 00:35:07.360
So emotions aren't bad.
00:35:07.519 --> 00:35:12.639
But as far as changing a story, it's like, well, what is the story you're telling yourself?
00:35:12.719 --> 00:35:17.679
And how do we know the story that we're telling ourselves around something as we look at the result that we have?
00:35:17.920 --> 00:35:32.480
So if I'm working with someone and let's say they're like, hey, I want to, you know, make multiple six figures or a million dollars or whatever it is from speaking, well, let's look at the results that you've got so far in your life or your business with money.
00:35:32.639 --> 00:35:37.440
Um let's look at the results that you've got so far with um potentially being seen.
00:35:37.679 --> 00:35:39.360
Well, you're inconsistent here.
00:35:39.440 --> 00:35:46.400
So if every time this happens in your life, you do this, what would the story be that is in resonance with the action?
00:35:46.639 --> 00:35:48.960
Okay, so you have a fear of being seen.
00:35:49.119 --> 00:35:54.480
You have a fear that if you are seen, you are going to be attacked or this thing's gonna happen to you.
00:35:54.559 --> 00:35:56.079
So the story is it's not safe to be seen.
00:35:56.159 --> 00:35:56.719
Okay, great.
00:35:56.800 --> 00:35:59.920
That is the vibration that you're operating at.
00:36:00.079 --> 00:36:02.320
Um, and the result is aligned with that.
00:36:02.480 --> 00:36:02.960
Okay, good.
00:36:03.039 --> 00:36:03.679
Now we know it.
00:36:03.760 --> 00:36:12.320
Now with money, it's you know, um, money doesn't stay, or it's not safe to have more than what I truly want or what I need.
00:36:12.480 --> 00:36:14.079
That was a story of an old client of mine.
00:36:14.239 --> 00:36:17.840
Her father yelled at her one day, and she shared this in a video testimonial.
00:36:17.920 --> 00:36:19.360
It's public, so I can share this.
00:36:19.519 --> 00:36:23.119
Um, she her father yelled at her when she was a child when she asked for more.
00:36:23.280 --> 00:36:32.480
So her business was stuck at a certain level financially because she felt on a subconscious, energetic level, it's not okay to ask for more.
00:36:32.639 --> 00:36:36.000
So no matter what she did with like, you know, speaking, books, all the things.
00:36:36.159 --> 00:36:47.519
This is again years ago, nothing would shift until we actually changed the story, which was it's not safe to ask for more, it's not okay, removed and, you know, cleared a lot of the underlying wounds there.
00:36:47.760 --> 00:36:53.360
The news story is, you know, it's it's there's there's more, there's there's so much to go around.
00:36:53.440 --> 00:36:58.880
Like I am not being selfish or I don't remember the exact story that we did with her, but we did some wound work.
00:36:59.039 --> 00:37:04.800
But the new story would be there is an infinite amount of abundance and it's available to me and everyone else.
00:37:04.960 --> 00:37:08.559
And by me having more abundance, I am not taking that from anyone else.
00:37:08.639 --> 00:37:12.400
Like I'm actually giving other people permission to ask for more, to have more.
00:37:12.559 --> 00:37:16.320
And as a result of having more abundance, I can actually help more people.
00:37:16.480 --> 00:37:17.679
And I'm a good person.
00:37:17.760 --> 00:37:20.880
And the more people I help, the more people that I help and they help.
00:37:20.960 --> 00:37:23.119
And that's actually how I create a ripple effect.
00:37:23.199 --> 00:37:31.840
And having more money and abundance gives me more energy and resources to help more people have jobs that they love and quit their nine of fives and do what they really love.
00:37:32.000 --> 00:37:36.320
So it's like changing the story changes the vibration, changes the result.
00:37:36.480 --> 00:37:37.119
Yeah.
00:37:37.440 --> 00:37:38.320
All day long.
00:37:38.480 --> 00:37:39.280
I mean, it really is.
00:37:39.360 --> 00:37:40.800
And I will add this part though.
00:37:40.960 --> 00:37:48.159
So if they're just changing the story and not seeing a new result, it's stuck in their body.
00:37:48.320 --> 00:37:49.360
It's stuck in their tissues.
00:37:49.519 --> 00:37:55.519
The trauma is stuck, and they're not able to really find themselves in alignment with the story that they're telling themselves.
00:37:55.840 --> 00:37:59.039
It's been shown, and I know that you know this because of what you do.
00:37:59.199 --> 00:38:08.719
It's been shown that repetition, emotion, and visualization is the fastest way to actually change a core belief system.
00:38:09.039 --> 00:38:16.000
And that 97% of our behaviors are in our subconscious, which means they're automatic.
00:38:16.079 --> 00:38:18.159
We don't really think about them before we do them.
00:38:18.400 --> 00:38:25.440
And it's actually been shown that every single action we take, not some of them, all of them, are driven by emotion.
00:38:25.599 --> 00:38:26.880
Well, where does emotion come from?
00:38:27.039 --> 00:38:28.159
It comes from a belief.
00:38:28.320 --> 00:38:35.119
So if we want to shift a belief, we need to tune into the emotion and the energy.
00:38:35.519 --> 00:38:39.039
And we have to have repetition and visualization.
00:38:39.119 --> 00:38:45.039
So it feels like it's already done to reprogram that belief system, typically for like 21 days.
00:38:45.199 --> 00:38:52.559
If it's a deeper unconscious belief that's happened, I think before the age of two, I could be wrong on that part.
00:38:52.800 --> 00:38:55.440
Um, it might be like 45 days or something.
00:38:55.519 --> 00:39:17.760
But if you do that for 21 days and you visualize yourself where you want to be, you tell yourself the belief system and you give yourself permission to feel it, you do that every day, you are going to be on the up and up with changing that belief, which is gonna change your emotions, which is gonna change your actions, which is gonna change your results, which is gonna change your whole damn life.
00:39:18.079 --> 00:39:18.960
It does change your life.
00:39:20.960 --> 00:39:25.599
I mean, it's it it's it really is it really is that simple, right?
00:39:25.679 --> 00:39:28.239
Like, I mean, and all it really is that simple.
00:39:28.480 --> 00:39:33.760
And I've this is why I'm so obsessed with what I do and with recordings.
00:39:34.000 --> 00:39:44.000
When I listen to a recording in the morning at night, I'm reprogramming my mind constantly to the life that I do want to live, that I actually am living currently.
00:39:44.239 --> 00:39:45.360
So, yeah, it works.
00:39:45.519 --> 00:39:47.840
It's not just woo-woo, it absolutely does work.
00:39:48.159 --> 00:39:50.159
It works, it's a fact.
00:39:52.159 --> 00:40:02.800
So, what goes into the process of, in your opinion, for someone to start telling themselves a new story and believing in it?
00:40:02.960 --> 00:40:04.480
I think this is the most important part of it.
00:40:04.639 --> 00:40:13.920
So, for instance, somebody comes to you and says, Deedra, I want to make$500,000 next year because of the work you do, we'll say speaking on stages, right?
00:40:14.000 --> 00:40:17.119
And I know you have the business strategy, you can provide all the things.
00:40:17.280 --> 00:40:18.559
However, that's great and all.
00:40:18.639 --> 00:40:21.920
However, business strategy alone isn't going to really sell it.
00:40:22.079 --> 00:40:24.480
So this is where inner work really comes into play.
00:40:24.719 --> 00:40:29.599
So, how do you start that process for then to start believing that new story?
00:40:30.480 --> 00:40:35.760
Well, the first thing is someone wouldn't come to me if they didn't actually feel that they wanted it and that it was for them.
00:40:35.840 --> 00:40:37.599
Like, I don't believe in coincidences.
00:40:37.679 --> 00:40:40.719
I don't believe in someone just showing up and being like, hey, I want to do this.
00:40:40.880 --> 00:40:42.320
Well, if you want it, it's for you.
00:40:42.400 --> 00:40:43.760
And let's make a plan.
00:40:43.920 --> 00:40:47.039
Let me show you all of the people that I've supported to reach this goal.
00:40:47.119 --> 00:40:51.679
Let's break it down and make it so easy that you can see exactly how it's going to happen.
00:40:51.840 --> 00:40:54.639
Because I think a big gap for people with any goal.
00:40:54.800 --> 00:41:11.599
And I know, you know, myself years ago, let's say 10 years ago when I started this business, if someone were to say, hey, you can make X amount of dollars a year or X amount, you know,$10,000, you know, plus plus plus every time you're on stage, I would be like, whoa, that's that's a lot.
00:41:11.760 --> 00:41:15.280
Like I would have some stuff because I wouldn't know how to do it.
00:41:15.440 --> 00:41:16.559
I wouldn't see a breakdown.
00:41:16.639 --> 00:41:17.440
I wouldn't see a plan.
00:41:17.599 --> 00:41:25.039
So actually breaking this down for people and showing people how they can do it, making a plan, that's a part of the visualization.
00:41:25.199 --> 00:41:30.239
And then getting them into their future self, like, okay, when you're here, this is what it's gonna look like.
00:41:30.400 --> 00:41:36.880
And then also, if you were that future self now, what decisions would you be making differently?
00:41:37.119 --> 00:41:39.679
Who are the people that you would be surrounding yourself with?
00:41:39.840 --> 00:41:43.519
Who are the people you would start listening to and stop listening to?
00:41:43.760 --> 00:41:44.559
How would you dress?
00:41:44.719 --> 00:41:45.280
How would you act?
00:41:45.360 --> 00:41:46.320
What would you say yes to?
00:41:46.400 --> 00:41:47.199
What would you say no to?
00:41:47.360 --> 00:41:49.599
So it's it's a bit of getting more clarity.
00:41:49.679 --> 00:41:57.519
And whenever I do that, you know, I remember years ago, I started to get on some really big stages with the top people in my industry who have millions of followers.
00:41:57.599 --> 00:41:58.559
And guess what I did?
00:41:58.800 --> 00:42:09.760
I actually did hypnotherapy because I was bumping up against a lot of, oh my goodness, like what am I gonna talk about next to so-and-so who has millions of followers and these huge audiences consistently.
00:42:09.840 --> 00:42:15.039
I did hypnotherapy on a monthly basis to help with my subconscious because I knew I needed support.
00:42:15.199 --> 00:42:16.639
I had all the other things going on.
00:42:16.800 --> 00:42:17.760
I had the plan.
00:42:17.920 --> 00:42:19.360
I was already doing the things.
00:42:19.440 --> 00:42:20.639
It was just that next level.
00:42:20.800 --> 00:42:26.639
And our next level has these guardrails that wants to keep us, you know, where we have been.
00:42:26.880 --> 00:42:29.599
And so I think a big thing is getting the right support.
00:42:29.760 --> 00:42:31.039
I don't do everything for people.
00:42:31.199 --> 00:42:33.599
I can't be the one-stop person for everything.
00:42:33.760 --> 00:42:35.280
We do do belief system work.
00:42:35.440 --> 00:42:36.960
We do look at results.
00:42:37.119 --> 00:42:45.119
And, you know, I help people overcome challenges with different processes I have from being a master coach for over 10 years and all the work that I do.
00:42:45.280 --> 00:42:52.719
But at the end of the day, a lot of our emotions and fears dissolve from just taking massive inspired action.
00:42:52.800 --> 00:42:54.639
Like, oh, you think you're gonna suck on stage?
00:42:54.719 --> 00:42:55.840
Well, why don't you do it?
00:42:56.000 --> 00:42:57.440
And then rip off the band aid.
00:42:57.599 --> 00:43:00.079
My first time on stage, I don't remember.
00:43:00.239 --> 00:43:03.360
Like my friends told me I did a good job, but I'm pretty sure I blacked out.
00:43:03.440 --> 00:43:04.239
I mean, I was present.
00:43:04.320 --> 00:43:05.920
I wasn't like on the floor blacked out.
00:43:06.000 --> 00:43:08.639
But like my friends told me I did a good job.
00:43:08.880 --> 00:43:10.079
And I probably didn't.
00:43:10.239 --> 00:43:17.760
But because of that, yes, you know, over a decade ago, now I've spoken on stages around the world and et cetera, like I've built this life that I love.
00:43:18.000 --> 00:43:24.719
But I think just taking massive inspired action is what dissolves the fear and a lot of the things that get in the way.
00:43:24.800 --> 00:43:42.000
And then through getting the result, sometimes through massive inspired action, the opposite kind of of doing just the subconscious work is that result that creates the new emotion can actually affect how we feel and how we believe what we believe about ourselves and also the reflection of others.
00:43:42.079 --> 00:43:51.920
So getting into the right environment, doing the things, of course, subconscious work too, like, of course, do all the things, but those things back at you can be like, oh, I am great.
00:43:52.079 --> 00:43:53.119
Oh, I am a good speaker.
00:43:53.280 --> 00:43:54.000
Oh, I can do this.
00:43:54.079 --> 00:43:58.480
Oh, I just made one of my clients made$20,000 from her very first talk on stage.
00:43:58.719 --> 00:43:59.760
And it's like, well, great.
00:44:00.079 --> 00:44:02.320
Great, now do it again and again and again and grow that.
00:44:02.400 --> 00:44:05.199
You know, it's like do the thing and then get the result.
00:44:05.280 --> 00:44:13.679
And then through the result, it's like, well, that's actually giving you emotions that are positive, that are aligned with how you want to feel and where you want to be.
00:44:13.760 --> 00:44:16.320
And that is also affecting your beliefs.
00:44:16.719 --> 00:44:17.280
Agree.
00:44:17.599 --> 00:44:22.559
I call this receipts and um what was the other one?
00:44:22.639 --> 00:44:24.400
It just blinked my out of my mind.
00:44:24.639 --> 00:44:26.960
Oh, I call this receipts and reps.
00:44:27.199 --> 00:44:34.000
So, like you're like you're having you get the reps in, you create the receipts for the very thing that you want to become, right?
00:44:34.079 --> 00:44:35.599
So, like that's exactly it.
00:44:35.840 --> 00:44:38.159
And it becomes easier and easier and easier.
00:44:38.239 --> 00:44:43.920
And this is how we become embodied in the very thing we now speak on.
00:44:44.079 --> 00:44:52.079
And that's my biggest hang up with so many speakers and leaders right now is that we are in the world of AI, ChatGPT.
00:44:52.400 --> 00:45:06.159
And for anyone who wants to appear that they are the thought leader in their industry, it's so simple right now to go and have AI create a script for you, to pop it on and be, you know, and present yourself as such.
00:45:06.400 --> 00:45:12.800
But how many leaders, like truly, Dee Jer, how many leaders out there are completely embodied with what they do?
00:45:12.960 --> 00:45:16.559
How many of them are living and breathing the very thing they're teaching?
00:45:16.800 --> 00:45:19.440
So I think that's really important part of it as well.
00:45:19.519 --> 00:45:23.039
Is I it's just so easy to be good.
00:45:23.599 --> 00:45:25.199
It's so easy to be great right now.
00:45:25.360 --> 00:45:32.159
It really is, because the bar is not set really high when you think about the level of talent out there.
00:45:32.480 --> 00:45:34.079
I totally agree with you.
00:45:34.320 --> 00:45:43.440
And I feel like when I really look up to leaders in the world, there are only a handful of people that I actually see where I'm like, oh yeah, I can feel them.
00:45:43.519 --> 00:45:45.199
They're doing the work, they're living the work.
00:45:45.360 --> 00:45:55.599
And if we're not living our word or living our work, we really are out of integrity with the work, whatever that work is for us.
00:45:55.760 --> 00:46:09.039
And I will say, every time I'm stepping into a new level of visibility or a new body of work that's coming out in the world or that I am feeling called to bring out, there's always the initiation.
00:46:09.519 --> 00:46:10.159
Always.
00:46:10.400 --> 00:46:12.639
And I think we want it to be too easy.
00:46:12.800 --> 00:46:14.000
Oh, there's an initiation.
00:46:14.159 --> 00:46:15.119
Oh, it's not for me.
00:46:15.280 --> 00:46:18.239
No, no, the initiation is how you become embodied.
00:46:18.320 --> 00:46:20.159
It's not the other way around.
00:46:20.239 --> 00:46:22.719
You can't outprepare the initiation.
00:46:23.119 --> 00:46:27.840
Yeah, that's so good, which is a great segue into your first album coming out.
00:46:28.159 --> 00:46:31.599
Oh my gosh, I know it's so crazy.
00:46:32.800 --> 00:46:33.840
Speak on that.
00:46:34.000 --> 00:46:35.119
Tell us more.
00:46:35.920 --> 00:46:41.599
So um I went through a pretty traumatic breakup about seven years ago.
00:46:41.920 --> 00:47:02.159
And I remember just deciding that I was gonna start writing about it and journaling about it and processing it because it was one of those relationships where I knew it was over and I needed full no contact, but I was still in love with him and the idea of our relationship.
00:47:02.320 --> 00:47:04.320
And at the time I considered him my best friend.
00:47:04.400 --> 00:47:07.679
So it was like that duality of this isn't good for me.
00:47:07.840 --> 00:47:12.400
So I need to honor that, but also I want to be in it.
00:47:12.559 --> 00:47:20.880
What how can I take this energy and pour it into something that's not going back, that's not calling him, that's not letting him back into my life.
00:47:21.039 --> 00:47:25.840
So I started writing, I started journaling, and then I started doing some poetry.
00:47:26.000 --> 00:47:29.599
Not that I shared any of this with anyone, thank goodness, because it probably wasn't very.
00:47:31.760 --> 00:47:43.599
And then um, I guess it was like just three years ago, I had a vision, and visions to me are always my higher self telling me this could be for you if you want it.
00:47:43.840 --> 00:47:45.599
If you want it, you have to choose it.
00:47:45.760 --> 00:47:50.960
Cause I think that we can have a lot of visions come to us, and some of them are for us, some of them aren't.
00:47:51.039 --> 00:47:54.639
We had to ask ourselves, is this actually in alignment with how I want to live my life?
00:47:54.960 --> 00:48:04.079
And I had this vision of singing on stages, and I'm like, oh, well, I already speak on stages, but singing, and I had a guitar, and I was like, I don't even play the guitar.
00:48:04.320 --> 00:48:06.559
And I'm the type of person my whole life.
00:48:06.639 --> 00:48:13.440
Like, I don't want, I've never wanted people to hear me sing because I always had this belief system of like, I'm not a good singer, right?
00:48:13.840 --> 00:48:32.800
So I had this vision, and then I was in LA for a mastermind that I was in, and I met this producer and this crew, and we ended up ending up in a castle in a recording studio, and we were singing, and I was super shy, but everyone was super into it and just like open to like whatever happened.
00:48:33.039 --> 00:48:38.880
And then there was something that unlocked in my voice where all of a sudden I was like, I'm gonna be a singer.
00:48:39.119 --> 00:48:46.239
And it was just this moment of I'm gonna be a singer, and I wasn't good, and I'm still a you know, a work in progress.
00:48:46.320 --> 00:48:48.320
Like I'm definitely not like an Adele.
00:48:49.440 --> 00:48:56.480
But I started writing music and um started recording music and essentially a big part of my life.
00:48:56.559 --> 00:49:08.000
And I really believe that transforming trauma into a gift is like part of my life's work uh for myself, um, but also helping others do the same through like all the things getting themselves out there.
00:49:08.239 --> 00:49:12.320
My relation, like the relationship department, has always been really challenging for me.
00:49:12.400 --> 00:49:20.719
I've always had like a lot of trauma, a lot of trust and mistrust, a lot of experiences where it's been really challenging to process it.
00:49:20.880 --> 00:49:30.559
So for me, music has been a way to express that and tell the stories that are very difficult, like writing in my journal and bringing it to life.
00:49:30.800 --> 00:49:39.360
And now I have like seven or eight songs, and I'm gonna be releasing different parts of my musical album this next year.
00:49:39.519 --> 00:49:44.400
And it's not about me being the perfect singer or having like someone else's voice.
00:49:44.480 --> 00:49:47.920
It's about being authentic and real and bringing people into the journey.
00:49:48.079 --> 00:49:51.840
But anytime I've sung the music, men cry, women cry.
00:49:52.000 --> 00:49:59.039
And it's been very um, it's been it's been really special, but it was really scary starting to put it out there.
00:49:59.280 --> 00:50:04.159
So it's been the way that I've been able to process some difficult things in my life with men.
00:50:04.559 --> 00:50:08.639
And it's basically like my journal out loud in music.
00:50:09.679 --> 00:50:12.000
Earl, you're the next Taylor Swift.
00:50:12.480 --> 00:50:13.679
I mean, we'll see.
00:50:14.000 --> 00:50:14.480
Think about it.
00:50:14.559 --> 00:50:21.519
It is such a it's such a cathartic way to move through life experiences that weren't so warm and fuzzy.
00:50:21.599 --> 00:50:24.400
Like if I could sing, I would sing in a heartbeat.
00:50:24.639 --> 00:50:28.480
God did not bless me with a beautiful singing voice, although I'm sure I could probably nurture that.
00:50:28.559 --> 00:50:34.559
I had a podcast guest tell me years ago that if you have a good voice, you can absolutely nurture it into a good singing voice.
00:50:34.719 --> 00:50:36.000
But TB continues.
00:50:36.079 --> 00:50:38.000
So I love that you have that outlet.
00:50:38.079 --> 00:50:44.320
It's very, I'm sure, therapeutic for you to release what's been stored inside your body and just get it out there.
00:50:45.280 --> 00:50:51.840
It's been a journey of vulnerability and truth telling in a way that I've never allowed myself to be seen.
00:50:51.920 --> 00:50:55.119
Cause I've always been like, I'm fine, I'm tough, no one needs to worry about me.
00:50:55.199 --> 00:50:58.639
And it's like the music is like, oh wow, like you're really vulnerable.
00:50:59.039 --> 00:50:59.679
You know.
00:51:00.960 --> 00:51:02.719
So I'm excited to share that.
00:51:02.800 --> 00:51:09.199
I've sung at probably five events now, and I'm going to start warming up my voice and doing more of that stuff.
00:51:09.360 --> 00:51:16.480
And um, yeah, I'll probably be dropping a new song or two in the next few months and doing maybe a mini music video for one of them.
00:51:16.719 --> 00:51:19.199
And I'll definitely share them with you when they come out.
00:51:19.280 --> 00:51:20.559
There's one song on Spotify.
00:51:20.639 --> 00:51:22.079
It's called Touch My Skin.
00:51:22.320 --> 00:51:23.599
Ooh, let me write that down.
00:51:23.760 --> 00:51:24.639
Touch my skin.
00:51:24.719 --> 00:51:26.159
It sounds so sensual.
00:51:26.480 --> 00:51:28.559
It's sensual and sad.
00:51:29.039 --> 00:51:29.360
Okay.
00:51:29.679 --> 00:51:30.960
Sensual and sad.
00:51:31.519 --> 00:51:34.079
You're like, I'm sound like the Kleenex.
00:51:34.400 --> 00:51:35.519
Yeah, maybe.
00:51:36.079 --> 00:51:39.599
So I have to ask you, what is up next for you?
00:51:39.760 --> 00:51:50.159
Because you, I mean, even since we when we first met, you I can already feel like your power increasing, like your inner, your inner power.
00:51:50.400 --> 00:51:52.480
It's it just it's it's shifted.
00:51:52.719 --> 00:52:02.159
And I know personally why, but even more so, you're just showing up with so much more uh conviction and clarity in who you are as a woman.
00:52:02.239 --> 00:52:03.199
And I love seeing it.
00:52:03.280 --> 00:52:04.320
So I want to honor that.
00:52:04.639 --> 00:52:06.320
It's just it's a beautiful thing to see.
00:52:06.400 --> 00:52:09.920
And this has only been really one short year when you really think about it.
00:52:10.000 --> 00:52:11.920
We're in April 2026.
00:52:12.000 --> 00:52:13.920
So yeah, it's only been a short year.
00:52:14.159 --> 00:52:19.440
So, what is what's on the agenda for the next, the next rise with Theedra?
00:52:20.400 --> 00:52:28.880
So, if I'm being radically honest, which is my, you know, that's who I am, but I don't always share everything that's going on behind the scenes in my life.
00:52:29.119 --> 00:52:36.960
But this last year has been a year of all of these different parts of me wanting to come forward.
00:52:37.039 --> 00:52:48.159
And I'm like, I've been in this battle, and I think a lot of creatives go through this, and entrepreneurs go through this of like, oh, I need to box myself into one thing, and oh, I have to ride out this thing for the next five years.
00:52:48.320 --> 00:52:55.280
And there's been all of that kind of coming to the surface, and I've been the duality of really choosing what my path is moving forward.
00:52:55.440 --> 00:52:58.880
And my path moving forward is I'm not boxing myself in.
00:52:59.039 --> 00:53:04.800
Yes, I have an incredible program that I help leaders get on stages and scale their businesses and tell their stories.
00:53:04.880 --> 00:53:05.760
And I love that.
00:53:05.920 --> 00:53:09.280
And I'm gonna keep doing it and I'm gonna keep bringing that forward.
00:53:09.360 --> 00:53:16.559
And I have this musical album that wants to come out of me on love and relationship in two more books, one's for men and one's for women.
00:53:16.639 --> 00:53:21.599
And I'm gonna launch that probably in the next 12 months and do a music and book tour.
00:53:21.679 --> 00:53:31.440
And, you know, like I have a lot of spiritual gifts where I was given gifts of where I can see things in people's bodies and, you know, people who have passed away talk to me.
00:53:31.519 --> 00:53:36.639
And I've been, you know, I have a lot of healing gifts that I've had at a very young age.
00:53:36.960 --> 00:53:41.280
And I have a lot of passions and a lot of things that I love.
00:53:41.679 --> 00:53:47.360
And I'm not going to just do one of them and just tell people one story.
00:53:47.519 --> 00:53:49.760
I'm gonna bring all of it forward.
00:53:50.000 --> 00:53:55.280
And the people that are for me in those arenas can come forward with what feels aligned for them.
00:53:55.519 --> 00:54:10.079
And I, one thing that has become so clear for me, and it's been there for years, but I didn't have the courage to step forward with it because I had my own blocks, my own stories, my own shame in the way and programming.
00:54:10.320 --> 00:54:14.559
I'm here to be a voice for women and stand up for women everywhere.
00:54:14.639 --> 00:54:23.280
And I want to bring women together to heal, to protect themselves, and you know, really bring wisdom to the table for younger women.
00:54:23.519 --> 00:54:29.679
And I also want to be a voice for creating change in the world with what's what's going on for violence against women.
00:54:29.840 --> 00:54:31.840
So there's a lot of different things.
00:54:31.920 --> 00:54:35.199
I see myself creating a movie in the future for my upcoming book.
00:54:35.360 --> 00:54:51.920
I like there's so many different projects, but I think the underlying thing of what's coming next, it's just more of all of me versus trying to just bring one thing out so that people understand me because I'm not here to be perfectly understood by everyone and I'm here to fully express myself.
00:54:52.239 --> 00:55:08.320
And I love that for me, but for so long I was like, oh no, like, you know, you're an intuitive and dead people talk to you, and you can see disease in people's bodies, and dolphins talk to you, and you're probably gonna want to go work with dolphins for so many months and you know, Hawaii and you know, all this stuff.
00:55:08.480 --> 00:55:16.960
It's like I'm gonna do all of it and simultaneously and let people figure it out, let people digest what they want, let people think what they want of me.
00:55:17.039 --> 00:55:23.840
I'm no longer filtering any part of who I am for the world, and that's really come full circle for me in this last year.
00:55:24.159 --> 00:55:25.440
Amen, sister.
00:55:25.760 --> 00:55:26.400
Amen.
00:55:27.199 --> 00:55:30.159
I could not, I mean, I want to like ring a bell to that.
00:55:30.400 --> 00:55:39.920
So you and I have talked about this in detail, and I love love that you're honoring your intuition, that you're honoring yourself fully right now.
00:55:40.079 --> 00:55:53.280
And this is where we can get so caught up in giving away our power for others' validation or for others' lens to give us the go-ahead to do whatever that looks like.
00:55:53.440 --> 00:56:03.760
And so while I think it's so important to have great mentors and coaches and these amazing rooms and masterminds and all the things, they're so, so, so good.
00:56:03.920 --> 00:56:05.519
I don't want to minimize that.
00:56:05.679 --> 00:56:12.000
And at the same time, I truly believe where the real secret sauce is at is just what you described.
00:56:12.079 --> 00:56:25.760
It's honoring yourself, it's honoring you so fully to where you don't have to explain yourself why you may have four, five, six, seven plus things on the plate that are so passionate for you.
00:56:25.920 --> 00:56:27.280
Why do you need to pick one thing?
00:56:27.519 --> 00:56:29.199
You pick one thing, you pigeon yourself.
00:56:29.280 --> 00:56:32.239
And I know so many leaders are like, that's ridiculous.
00:56:32.400 --> 00:56:34.000
You should only focus on one thing.
00:56:34.320 --> 00:56:42.239
And what I don't believe is talked about enough is so many of these different buckets actually serve one another.
00:56:42.400 --> 00:56:47.280
I know in my line of work, you know, I have three to four, and they all serve each one.
00:56:47.519 --> 00:56:51.039
And everybody who's ever worked with me has gone in each bucket, right?
00:56:51.199 --> 00:57:00.239
So I'm so grateful that you brought that up because it's not just one arena and only you can decide what that looks like and should decide, by the way.
00:57:00.559 --> 00:57:01.039
Yeah.
00:57:01.280 --> 00:57:07.440
I love that you just mentioned the buckets because the thing is, I'm always speaking to the same person.
00:57:07.599 --> 00:57:11.119
I'm just speaking to the same person who's having different experiences.
00:57:11.360 --> 00:57:14.639
So I attract people who are very spiritually connected.
00:57:14.800 --> 00:57:19.519
Like, you know, I work with change makers, leaders, visionaries, healers.
00:57:19.679 --> 00:57:23.199
I work with people who are about planetary change and don't want to play small.
00:57:23.280 --> 00:57:25.199
And it just depends on where they're at.
00:57:25.360 --> 00:57:26.800
Hey, you want to work on your relationship?
00:57:26.960 --> 00:57:27.519
Here's a book.
00:57:27.599 --> 00:57:28.719
Hey, you want to do this?
00:57:28.880 --> 00:57:30.400
Here's potentially a retreat.
00:57:30.559 --> 00:57:31.199
Who knows?
00:57:31.360 --> 00:57:35.519
Here's this program that helps you get on stages and get visible and scale your business.
00:57:35.599 --> 00:57:37.920
It just depends on where they're at in their journey.
00:57:38.159 --> 00:57:40.880
But yeah, a big part of me, and I had this aha moment.
00:57:41.039 --> 00:57:42.880
You know, I continue to have it lately.
00:57:42.960 --> 00:57:44.880
It's been like this big awakening.
00:57:45.039 --> 00:57:47.760
It's like, no, I am not like everyone.
00:57:48.000 --> 00:57:49.599
And that's actually what makes me unique.
00:57:49.679 --> 00:57:52.079
And that's what makes you unique in everyone who's listening to this.
00:57:52.239 --> 00:57:58.320
Everyone is unique and you can market yourself in a business and still be super successful.
00:57:58.480 --> 00:58:02.400
You can be super successful with your business and do multiple things.
00:58:02.639 --> 00:58:04.079
You, it there is no limit.
00:58:04.239 --> 00:58:05.039
That's an illusion.
00:58:05.119 --> 00:58:06.480
That's an old paradigm.
00:58:06.639 --> 00:58:15.440
That's some that's somebody from back in the day who made up a rule and people are still talking about it, and they're playing by those old set of rules and they're still regurgitating it.
00:58:15.519 --> 00:58:17.760
And that's their reality, but it's not mine and it's not yours.
00:58:17.840 --> 00:58:23.840
And I think that we need to be a little bit more self-expressed and liberated in how we create and run our businesses.
00:58:24.159 --> 00:58:25.199
I couldn't agree more.
00:58:25.360 --> 00:58:26.639
Thank you for sharing that.
00:58:27.039 --> 00:58:30.960
Well, I'm going to wrap with dare to be deedra.
00:58:32.000 --> 00:58:35.360
It's a rapid fire round, dare to be deedra.
00:58:35.920 --> 00:58:40.000
There's no overthinking, no editing, just the first thing that comes up.
00:58:40.239 --> 00:58:40.880
Are you ready?
00:58:41.119 --> 00:58:41.760
I'm ready.
00:58:42.000 --> 00:58:43.119
All right, let's go.
00:58:43.440 --> 00:58:45.840
Morning person or night owl?
00:58:46.239 --> 00:58:47.199
Night owl.
00:58:48.000 --> 00:58:49.519
Coffee or matcha?
00:58:50.079 --> 00:58:50.880
Coffee.
00:58:51.599 --> 00:58:53.280
Ocean or mountains?
00:58:53.599 --> 00:58:54.320
Ocean.
00:58:55.119 --> 00:58:57.360
The book that changed your life.
00:58:59.920 --> 00:59:02.800
Uh Louise Hayes, you can heal your life.
00:59:02.880 --> 00:59:04.239
I think that's what it's called.
00:59:05.360 --> 00:59:08.800
One word that describes you ten years ago.
00:59:12.639 --> 00:59:14.960
One word that describes you right now.
00:59:19.920 --> 00:59:20.559
Express.
00:59:23.440 --> 00:59:25.840
The quality you look for in a person.
00:59:27.039 --> 00:59:27.679
Yeah.
00:59:29.360 --> 00:59:32.400
Biggest plot twist in your story so far.
00:59:34.079 --> 00:59:41.039
That I am a butterfly and I am meant to go to all of these different places, and I'm not meant to be known for just one thing.
00:59:41.280 --> 00:59:45.519
I'm meant to go always trust my intuition and go to where I feel called.
00:59:48.159 --> 00:59:50.159
What do you know for certain?
00:59:53.360 --> 00:59:54.000
Wow.
00:59:54.400 --> 00:59:59.360
What I know for certain is our soul communicates to us through symptoms of disease.
00:59:59.519 --> 01:00:04.239
And if we're not listening, our soul will continue to knock and yell.
01:00:04.559 --> 01:00:09.360
And I do believe that a lot of sickness is because we're not honoring our soul.
01:00:09.519 --> 01:00:14.000
And when we get into alignment with our soul and take action, we have the power to heal ourselves.
01:00:15.280 --> 01:00:15.760
So good.
01:00:16.559 --> 01:00:18.000
What are you still figuring out?
01:00:18.719 --> 01:00:19.280
Hmm.
01:00:20.960 --> 01:00:22.480
Social media.
01:00:25.280 --> 01:00:28.880
I'm like, how do we put all this stuff on social media in a fun way?
01:00:29.039 --> 01:00:29.920
That makes sense.
01:00:30.079 --> 01:00:32.800
And yeah, let's say social media, because that's a real thing.
01:00:32.880 --> 01:00:36.000
I'm like figuring out how I want to play on that platform.
01:00:36.480 --> 01:00:37.280
True.
01:00:37.920 --> 01:00:42.079
The thing, the thing people misunderstand about alignment.
01:00:43.360 --> 01:00:44.880
About alignment.
01:00:45.440 --> 01:00:47.119
Oh, that it feels good all the time.
01:00:48.000 --> 01:00:48.960
And that it's easy.
01:00:49.039 --> 01:00:52.239
It's usually not easy when it comes to bake life decisions and changes.
01:00:52.480 --> 01:00:52.880
Yeah.
01:00:53.440 --> 01:00:53.920
True.
01:00:54.559 --> 01:00:57.840
Spirituality or religion and why.
01:01:00.639 --> 01:01:02.079
Spirituality.
01:01:02.960 --> 01:01:04.960
I have dabbled in everything.
01:01:05.199 --> 01:01:15.840
Um and I believe that our greatest access point to truth is based on a lot of our own life experiences.
01:01:16.639 --> 01:01:23.679
And I remember coming down to earth um before I actually woke up in this body and was born.
01:01:23.840 --> 01:01:26.880
So I remember a lot of things from my past lives.
01:01:27.119 --> 01:01:34.400
Um, and I know things that is considered ancient wisdom that I just know um for no good reason.
01:01:34.639 --> 01:01:40.800
And those are the nuggets that have brought me down certain paths to go deeper into.
01:01:41.280 --> 01:01:47.519
And although I do like religion um in a lot of ways, there's a lot of good things about it.
01:01:47.840 --> 01:01:50.239
It's it's too boxed in for me.
01:01:50.400 --> 01:01:53.280
And I don't belong in a box personally.
01:01:54.000 --> 01:01:54.639
Yeah.
01:01:54.960 --> 01:02:03.679
The last thing that made you cry when I shared my story with social media when I recorded it the first time.
01:02:04.000 --> 01:02:04.480
Yeah.
01:02:04.800 --> 01:02:09.599
So I I cried telling the story, and then I was like, whoa, that was really vulnerable.
01:02:09.679 --> 01:02:11.039
I don't think I'm gonna post that.
01:02:11.199 --> 01:02:12.400
And then I recorded it again.
01:02:12.480 --> 01:02:13.840
So that would be the last time I cried.
01:02:13.920 --> 01:02:15.199
That was last week.
01:02:15.519 --> 01:02:19.199
The last thing that made you laugh until it hurt.
01:02:21.039 --> 01:02:22.079
Oh man.
01:02:22.480 --> 01:02:24.400
Okay, so this is a really funny story.
01:02:24.480 --> 01:02:31.760
This is the last thing I remember, but there could be more, is my mom years ago had to get a hip replacement.
01:02:31.840 --> 01:02:33.119
This was like over 10 years ago.
01:02:33.199 --> 01:02:35.039
This is just the first thing that came forward.
01:02:35.199 --> 01:02:42.000
And so she really wanted me and my brothers to be home for the weekend back in BC to spend time with her because she was really nervous about it.
01:02:42.159 --> 01:02:45.599
And she was in a wheelchair, she wasn't supposed to really walk before the surgery.
01:02:45.760 --> 01:02:52.320
And my brother, he got some like, I don't know, shatter or some sort of like weed extract.
01:02:52.400 --> 01:02:53.599
And he made some brownies.
01:02:53.840 --> 01:02:58.480
And my brother, he's amazing, but I don't think he paid attention to how much he poured into them.
01:02:58.719 --> 01:02:59.039
Okay.
01:02:59.840 --> 01:03:05.440
So my mom was cut this huge piece, but I guess she was having a glass of wine already.
01:03:05.599 --> 01:03:06.880
So she didn't have any.
01:03:06.960 --> 01:03:07.519
Thank God.
01:03:07.599 --> 01:03:10.480
Otherwise, she probably would no longer be with us.
01:03:10.880 --> 01:03:14.079
And so I have a very, very small amount.
01:03:14.239 --> 01:03:16.000
I literally just do this to the top of it.
01:03:16.079 --> 01:03:24.880
I just swipe my finger to the top of the brownies when they're wet, and I have a little lick, and then I end up going to the convenience store when I was, you know, visiting my parents that night.
01:03:25.039 --> 01:03:26.960
So I go to the convenience store.
01:03:27.199 --> 01:03:30.239
The lady at the store is talking to me, it feels like, for days.
01:03:30.320 --> 01:03:35.199
And I just remember being like, I was getting nail polish in a magazine or something and going back to my parents.
01:03:35.440 --> 01:03:39.760
I drive home and I'm like, wow, that woman had a lot to say, and I'm tired.
01:03:39.920 --> 01:03:42.320
I tried to paint my toenail, couldn't do it.
01:03:42.480 --> 01:03:53.199
So I go lay down in um my parents' spare bedroom, and I'm just staring at the ceiling, and my mom rolls by in her wheelchair, and she's like, Hey, did it hit you yet?
01:03:53.440 --> 01:03:56.480
And all of a sudden the whole roof like swirled.
01:03:56.880 --> 01:04:01.039
And I was like, Oh my gosh, like I'm I think I'm really high right now, right?
01:04:02.239 --> 01:04:06.880
So I like walk down their hallway, and my parents have like a really big house, everything's open concept.
01:04:07.039 --> 01:04:13.039
I'm walking like tippy-toeing behind my parents' couch, trying not to be seen like a cat, like on my feet.
01:04:13.119 --> 01:04:17.280
But like, you know how cats are when they don't, they're trying to like, you know, not be seen.
01:04:17.440 --> 01:04:19.920
Anyways, long story short, I broke down laughing.
01:04:20.000 --> 01:04:24.880
And then the rest of the night, um, I was in the kitchen talking about I don't even know what.
01:04:24.960 --> 01:04:27.360
And my whole family was around me laughing all the time.
01:04:27.519 --> 01:04:28.800
I was bursting laughing.
01:04:28.880 --> 01:04:29.760
They were laughing.
01:04:29.920 --> 01:04:32.480
I was super high, couldn't get out of bed the next day.
01:04:32.719 --> 01:04:41.119
And my mom has like these one-liners that are really funny, and she forgot about her surgery because I was basically putting on a show the whole night for my whole family.
01:04:41.280 --> 01:04:44.800
So I remember laughing so hard I felt like I couldn't breathe.
01:04:45.039 --> 01:04:46.079
Oh my God.
01:04:46.400 --> 01:04:48.400
The best belly laughs ever, right?
01:04:48.480 --> 01:04:49.280
It's so good.
01:04:49.679 --> 01:04:50.880
Quite the story.
01:04:51.280 --> 01:04:55.519
If your life had a theme song right now, what is it?
01:04:56.800 --> 01:04:58.320
A theme song.
01:04:59.199 --> 01:05:01.119
What would the theme song be?
01:05:01.760 --> 01:05:03.679
Oh, there's a theme song that I really like.
01:05:03.840 --> 01:05:06.719
I don't know who sings it, but it's called This Is Me.
01:05:09.760 --> 01:05:15.920
As in, like, this is me, like I am me, and this is my path, and this is where I'm going.
01:05:16.079 --> 01:05:17.039
This is where I've have been.
01:05:17.199 --> 01:05:18.480
It's just like, this is me.
01:05:18.639 --> 01:05:19.039
Yeah.
01:05:21.119 --> 01:05:23.760
The mentor who changed everything.
01:05:24.239 --> 01:05:26.480
Yeah, I'm gonna say Satyan Raja.
01:05:26.800 --> 01:05:34.800
He was the um a mentor of mine years ago when when I did my master coach training when I was going through a lot of things about seven years ago.
01:05:35.039 --> 01:05:38.880
And uh, we just had a call the other day, and I'm like, he is such a great guy.
01:05:39.039 --> 01:05:43.920
He is a stand for women, and he's one of those guys that are calling out men right now.
01:05:44.000 --> 01:05:52.480
And just like the work that I did with him for over a year completely changed my life and really got me into alignment with my deeper purpose.
01:05:52.639 --> 01:05:52.960
Yeah.
01:05:53.519 --> 01:05:54.320
Love it.
01:05:54.639 --> 01:05:57.199
What does your soul need more of right now?
01:05:57.920 --> 01:05:59.760
I think I just need to have a little bit more.
01:06:00.239 --> 01:06:00.400
fun.
01:06:00.960 --> 01:06:04.559
The winter in Canada, especially Eastern Canada, has like been brutal.
01:06:04.639 --> 01:06:10.239
And I've been wearing black every day and I'm like, oh my gosh, like I just wear black all winter and like I hibernate.
01:06:10.480 --> 01:06:11.760
So I need some more color.
01:06:11.840 --> 01:06:13.840
So I ordered a bunch of new outfits, which is fun.
01:06:14.000 --> 01:06:17.519
And I think I just need to have more fun and like go on some trips and stuff with some friends.
01:06:17.679 --> 01:06:19.920
That's I think I just need some more playful time.
01:06:20.159 --> 01:06:22.960
Well there is an incredible grease trip coming up this September.
01:06:23.119 --> 01:06:29.679
I've been told I was what are you done tolerating?
01:06:30.559 --> 01:06:37.679
I am done tolerating anyone who does not respect my boundaries.
01:06:37.840 --> 01:06:39.760
And I'm not talking about big boundaries.
01:06:39.840 --> 01:06:54.159
I'm not talking about you know anything really negative but people who just don't get me and don't want to get me or don't respect my no's or you know for example if someone wants to give me advice and I'm like no thank you and they just continue like I'm just not tolerating that I'll just walk away.
01:06:54.239 --> 01:06:59.119
Like I don't need anyone in my field that I haven't agreed to have in my field in any way.
01:06:59.280 --> 01:06:59.679
Yeah.
01:07:00.000 --> 01:07:01.280
Right there with you.
01:07:01.599 --> 01:07:04.239
The story you are most proud of living.
01:07:07.840 --> 01:07:10.559
Yeah I would just say choosing myself.
01:07:11.119 --> 01:07:19.679
Like you know I remember going to Burning Man years ago and just um feeling really liberated and choosing myself and making my own damn rules.
01:07:19.760 --> 01:07:22.159
That was the very first book I wrote I never published it.
01:07:22.320 --> 01:07:32.800
But it was really just about this um course correction of making my own damn rules at the time and living through that and choosing myself regardless of what's going on.
01:07:32.880 --> 01:07:38.239
And that completely changed my life and I'm really proud of that past version of me for for doing that.
01:07:38.480 --> 01:07:41.599
Hmm and our last one final question.
01:07:41.840 --> 01:07:49.840
If you could whisper one thing to every woman and man who is playing it safe right now, what would it be?
01:07:51.039 --> 01:07:52.800
Well I'd say stop playing it safe.
01:07:52.960 --> 01:07:56.400
I would say the thing that scares you the most is the thing that you should do.
01:07:56.559 --> 01:08:04.320
And the thing that you should do um you should do now because five 10 20 years down the road you're just going to have regrets and wish you started sooner.
01:08:04.480 --> 01:08:14.400
So just do the thing rip off the band-aid get the accountability partner jump in with both feet and you'll figure it out and things will work out better than you could have ever imagined.
01:08:14.719 --> 01:08:16.560
Boom love it.
01:08:16.800 --> 01:08:20.479
Thank you so much Dee thank you for having me.
01:08:20.560 --> 01:08:21.920
This has been so fun.
01:08:22.319 --> 01:08:24.720
Well and we really need to do an in-person one.
01:08:24.800 --> 01:08:34.399
I know we've been talking about it for a long time so when you want to get out of Canada and you want to come down to even Arizona we can sit and just do a round two I would love that.
01:08:34.560 --> 01:08:42.479
I love that I'm in all right let's do it for more on Dee Dra Siriani please check the show notes and to connect with her.
01:08:42.720 --> 01:08:43.279
Thank you.
