Anyhow, ⁓ don't forget you can like, subscribe, follow, all those good things. YouTube, Spotify, Apple, TikTok, Instagram, show me your penis. Like that. I think that's a ⁓ live s live studio audience. ⁓ a live studio I'm sorry, I didn't I didn't hear what was that link? before a live studio audience. There you go. Here we are. I don't know. And we're anyway we're so here. Can you guys hear now? I can hear you. Are you good now? Yeah. Sorry. Is that better? Don't you have to listen on YouTube, Tom? I will in a minute. Okay. Just to make sure. But Jeff? Yes. How the heck was your weekend? Had a blast. ⁓ flew up Friday night to northern Michigan up to ⁓ Potaski to watch. Snowmobiling? Yeah, no, no. To watch ⁓ boat races. What kind of boat races? Motor boat races. Wow. These dudes get ⁓ they're homemade, made out of wood, ten foot, eight to ten foot long boats. ⁓ okay. Got different classes. And they're all outboard little outboard engines, ⁓ fifteen horse, twenty-five horse, up to sixty horse, and then they had nine-year-old kids out there racing. ⁓ did they race the eight to ten inch version of the boats? Yeah, yeah. They they they ran the mini ones. Yeah, that makes more sense to me. Unbelievable. So the people we went up there with knew two of the guys that were in the race. So we went into the quote unquote pits and ⁓ you have to swim over there? No, no, no, no. Walk walk right up on it. And It's all the boats up close. And the propellers on these boats, I I'm not shitting you, are not much bigger than a blender blade. They're about that big around. And how fast are they going? What? The fifteen horse do up to ⁓ two miles an hour. Fifty fifty miles an hour. Fifteen horsepower? Mm hmm. Wow. Yeah. It it's an eight foot boat. It's an eight it's a real short boat, real lightweight. I didn't know horses could swim that fast. Jeez Pete. Tread water anyway. That's crazy. And then the sixty horses will do about seven seventy miles an hour. But so we watch went up there and watched two days of those races and and ⁓ yeah, it was a lot of fun. Cool, different different experience. So yeah. Well when you got a rich friend with an airplane, you can go do some fun shit. Who said he's rich? He might be broke 'cause he owns an airplane top. I doubt it. I got a feeling. Never know. ⁓ boy. Is that it? Yeah, that was it. That was the week. And then you came home safely? Came home safely. Yep. Yeah, we did see flying up air. You didn't get stranded in the woods or left in a snowbank or fall down a hill. Nothing. Nothing? Nothing. I didn't fall down a hill. Damn, you got a memory like a goddamn elephant over there. I just remember the fun stuff. But flying up air, there were storms all around us, so we were dodging storms. Got a cool video I'll show you later of this. towering thunder cloud that probably went up forty five, fifty thousand feet and it was nothing filming it right outside of my window. ⁓ wow. Nothing but lightning. Just constant, constant lightning. I asked Jim, I go, how far is that? Pulled up on radar, he goes, it's about seventy five miles away. Looked like it was right there. Yeah, it looked like it was right on top of it. No. No? Not with it. Yeah, not with it. He's got all the shit, all the gear, all the yeah. It was fun. Do you ride bitch or do you have your own seat? I do ride bitch. Yeah. Unless there's something That's probably why you weren't scared. You had something to hold on to. Yes, exactly. So you gotta put your hands around his waist. Ex yes. Yeah, yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. So yeah, it was a good time, great weekend. You you ever like that one hand slides down a little bit to the thigh? Tickle. A tickle. If he asks politely. But he's gotta ask politely. ⁓ you don't just sneak up on him on that? No, no, no. No. You gotta get you gotta get permission. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. You can't No means no, Jeff. Yeah, you can't scare you can't scare your pilot. I can just picture him riding bits in there. ⁓ it's fun it's fun ripping ass in there though. ⁓ I bet it's awesome. When you're in a little tube like that. Just roll the window down for a little bit. Instant death. Yeah, good weekend. Linko, what'd you do? ⁓ no airplanes for me. Yeah. Did the usual on Friday. ⁓ wait, that's that's your usual ones. I did Jeff's usual on Friday. We had a good time Friday night. Yeah, hung out at rookies for a little bit. ⁓ Saturday little what little tent set up for the golf outing and Sunday was the outing. ⁓ I won't go too much into it. I'll let ⁓ radio right here take care of that. ⁓ we tried to go to the state fair. ⁓ that started? ⁓ yeah. It started Friday. Last Friday. We tried to go last night. We literally pulled into the parking lot. All the two dollar twos there or whatever. Before we paid. I'm like I I turned and looked up the clouds and I'm like Are we sure we wanna do this? 'Cause ⁓ it looks like it's gonna downpour here sometime soon. So yeah ⁓ so yeah, we ended up not paying for anything. We sat at the entrance of the parking lot for about fifteen minutes and we were like F it. Yeah. Going home. Yeah. So yeah, went home, didn't do didn't do anything. But anyway, we're going out there to meet some friends and ⁓ yeah, they were already in. ⁓ I was like We we don't like them that much. What ain't coming. What teacher contest? Yeah. So anyway. All right. That was about it. Awesome. How about you, Brett? ⁓ host host a little golf outing, dealt with some stuff with that. That's pretty much the week in there. Had some beers Friday. It was good. Awesome. All good. We actually played okay. Well, we played for us pretty good. Yeah. I think the that's the best score we've best score we've ever had. ⁓ it's because I wasn't there. Who I was just on the team. I know that conversation happened. I'm not stupid. Who wasn't on the team? What? Me. I wasn't there. Who said that? What? Who said you're not stupid? I did. Okay. Weren't you paying attention? I mean, if you put two and two together here and they shot their best round ever and you were at the flu fighters, I just said that go. Yeah. That's exactly what I just said. I I mean, I I might question some of your intellectual skills though, if you keep forgetting to remove the plug from the box when you use it. I don't use it. That's why it's still in the box. Okay. ⁓ so ⁓ I don't know, dinner what we we had chicken. That's a I I did I've still only eaten chicken once at that thing, so it's all right though. Tommy, do you eat anything? Do eat them biscuits? Them biscuits are good. The biscuit is good. I've never The biscuit is good. Those biscuits are fantastic. So you eat the biscuits there but not at home. I never said that. You say that. I don't. But yeah. I try to every week for sure. Went to Chicago, spent the entire weekend up there. ⁓ Yeah, that was good. What'd you go up there for, Tom? See the Fo see the Foo Fighters. It was fantastic. That was it. Where where was it? You what I'm just gonna tell you. I don't care what anybody says ⁓ Soldier Field. ⁓ shit. I don't care what anybody says about the Foo Fighters because people give them a lot of shit. They're like, ⁓ Really? Yeah, they they get kind of a hard way to go because they Like nickelback little shit? Yeah, some Are you kidding? Really? I've never heard that. Dave Garroll's pretty solid. ⁓ the whole band's pretty solid. But I don't care anybody says it's probably the best rock show you could possibly go to because they just they're they're a good show. They always kill it. Always. Yep. Yeah. And it was it was a lot of fun. I mean they did a 'cause everybody in the band's been in other bands. So they did a whole thing where everybody they did one song from everybody's previous bands. Yep. Some of ⁓ were really old songs that nobody knew from bands that nobody heard of. Uh-huh. Some of this one of ⁓ was ⁓ One Headlight by the Wallflower. So they did that. 'Cause the guitarist, I think, or the keyboardist was in the wallflower. So and then Dave Grohl played drums. Uh-huh. And that was pretty fucking cool. Yeah. So yeah, it was a fantastic show. I hate Chicago, but it's a fantastic show. Just getting around it. You know, the people that live up there, I always ask, I'm like, why? Why why do you why? Why do you want to be abused up here like this? It's it's expensive as hell. Taxes suck. And there's it's hard to get around. It's hard to get around. You're stuck forever, all the time. Is it what you're used to though? I mean if you grew up in it, you've been around it for years, if that's what you know. I would say the counter is you have a access to a lot of things. Yeah, you do have access to a lot of things. It's just a pain in the ass to get to all of them. If you if you're used to it a little bit. ⁓ time it right. I mean, this is coming from the dude who's shitty, it takes him twenty minutes to get to rookies now instead of eight. So I don't know, I don't know. ⁓ I just I just the abuse of it exhaust me. On the daily. When's that when's that roundabout opening up? Supposed to open up at the end of September. Is that what November? I don't know. They keep moving, I think. Twenty twenty nine. Yeah, w when we left Friday there was ⁓ by our head friends from ⁓ Fishers or somewhere up there. I'm like, I bet you get home about the same time left. Probably. Probably would, but yeah, we did but the one cool thing we did, in the whole bar district In one part of downtown Rush Street. They have ⁓ no, it's over by ⁓ three dots and a dash and I forget the name of the street. But anyhow, they got a place called Kitchen Karaoke. Mm-hmm. It's a boy's code. And you walk up and you gotta have a shot. You gotta buy a shot. It's five bucks. And then you get to sing a song. Really? And so we each sang a song on the street of Chicago. It's fun. Did you sing Food Fighters? No, I did not. So it was fun though. Anyhow, now it's time for this week in history. ⁓ this week in history, nineteen aught one. Gustav Whitehead makes the first publicized account of a powered heavier than air flight. Okay. Wait a minute. So many aeronautic things that come up. What about ⁓ Mr. and Mr. Wright? Powered. ⁓ powered report. They ⁓ were nineteen ⁓ three paper clip. So the event was witnessed by several people, including a reporter from the Bridgeport Herald. ⁓ apparently this was a big deal because ⁓ I don't know if you guys are remember the year as far as history goes. I don't. But the Wright brothers were nineteen ⁓ three. This is nineteen one. And this dude is claiming he had he had the first air flight. Air airplane flight. Was Guinness there? So the Wright brothers were the ⁓ where's this dickhead from? ⁓ don't say Yeah, it's not the US Wahili Land or Canada where that hot dog eating champ was. Well the the New York Herald and the Bridgeport Herald Scotty they were both there. Or they sorry, they both ⁓ picked up the story Yeah, they both published it and there was a reporter from the Bridgeport Herald there. ⁓ so apparently children who were present signed affidavits Thirty years later about what they saw. Thirty years later. The report said that he started on wheels from a flat service, flew eight hundred meters at a height of fifteen meters, and landed softly on the wheels. This was two years before the Wright brothers. Hold on, that's a whole twenty four that's twenty four hundred feet. That's a whole lot of fucking detail thirty years later. That's what the report said, Tom. Well the reports I don't think that was from the They just validated yes, I saw it. I was there as a kid. I witnessed it. I witnessed it. Okay. Was Guinness Book of World Records there? That question's already been already been thrown out there. But thanks. As unanswered, Your Honor. Yeah. The Switch industry nineteen. the Indianapolis Motor Speedway opens. It was the second purpose built banked oval. Racing circuit and the first to be called a speedway. It is the third oldest permanent automobile racetrack in the world behind Brook Brooklands and the Milwaukee Mile. I'm gonna look up where Brooklands is. But I don't know. You can Google that shit. ⁓ dy. This we're gonna history nineteen forty eight, the hidden camera. Reality TV show candid camera. I used to love that thing. It was created and hosted by Alan Funt. In nineteen forty eight. Nineteen forty eight. Holy shit. Featured pranks and practical jokes. It it had begun on the radio as the candid microphone in nineteen forty seven, June of nineteen forty seven. So over a year earlier than that. Did you guys ever see the HBO I think ran something called the Candid Candid Camera? And it was it was basically the same thing, but racier. A little racier. Was it like taxi cab kit? Scantily clad and you know, and you know, shirts falling off and stuff like that. So we saw nipple? Yeah, there was yeah, it was on HBO. And you didn't have to look through the grainy picture. Okay. ⁓ yeah. There you go. I wonder if that's still on pirated. Brookland's Russ raceways in England. ⁓ there you go. So there you go. That was the first one. English, whatever. Yep. ⁓ this will be an issue in nineteen sixty. The Beatles drummer Tommy Moore quits the group. Good move. ⁓ that Mel has these Silver Beatles because ⁓ he quit because their book his their bookings Interfered with his job as a forklift driver. ⁓ Jesus Christ. Jeff, you can make a shitload of money driving forklifts. Yeah, back then. You do it for a thousand years. You're making you're making more money than That means his wife his wife was riding his ass. Just returned from a tour. after the tour, more quit when the other members tried to talk him into staying with the band. His wife shouted at them, ⁓ no. You can all piss off. Yep. And then they wrote a song about that moment. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ so yeah, the thirty years later, Yorono fucked up the band permanently. That would be awesome if her name was Jude. Drums were then taken over by Pete Best and later replaced by Ringo Starr. ⁓ this weekend history, nineteen ninety, the world's largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton is discovered. A group of archaeologists were preparing to leave after exploring a region in western South Dakota when they discovered they had a flat tire. So most of the group went back to town to repair the truck, but Sue Hendrickson stayed behind to explore some nearby cliffs. ⁓ she discovered a number of exposed bones. ⁓ no, no truth to the rumor that there was a nudist colony ⁓ right down the road. those bones ⁓ turned out to be a sixty-seven million year old T Rex with more than eighty percent of the skeleton recovered. It was the most complete and largest T Rex ever discovered. So yeah. Is that not being facetious? Didn't they call the T Rex something Sue? Yeah, something Sue. Sue ⁓ Hendrickson. Yeah. Discovered the T Rex. Yeah. Hence the name. Sue? Huh. Got it. Like if you would have discovered it. It would have been called a Jeff. Jeff. Probably Jeff Dig and store it stored in Jeff's mom's basement, maybe. Anyway, that's a sweet. Call Scott's eat Scott Eats Dig. All right, Jeff. And now how about some news we can use? This one in Weird History just happened recently. ⁓ Yeah? August twelfth, twenty twenty six. Dateline Has that even happened yet? Recently. August twelfth. Just today. Yeah, it's was when it was reported. It was updated. I'm sorry, it was updated. I think it happened over the weekend. In ⁓ Mamal or Mamel High School down in Arkansas. Animal experts say ⁓ Arkansas High School football player is lucky he wasn't injured after after he discovered a venomous snake inside his jock strap vagina trousers, helmet, at a recent practice. That'll give you a headache. Last week a player began practice. After about an hour, what he felt something moving. He had the fucking helmet on for an hour. It must have been a little snake. I removed he said I removed a snake out of a caravan in the engine, purses, backpacks, and a helmet. Never. It's kind of unbelievable. Come to find out, it was one of the most venomous snakes you can find in North America. In helmet. Yeah, in a helmet. It was a cotton mouth, which can be deadly. Well y how big was it? If it's in a helmet and they don't feel it for an hour, it couldn't have little Because the snake had slithered Tom, because the snake had slithered into the padding of the helmet, Tom, Tom it was hard to remove. Tom bless you. Animal control officers had to flood the helmet with water to flush the snake in the Throw the helmet away. Throw it in a fucking lake. Put it in a ziploc and send it away. Those are expensive. It is one of the six venomous snakes found in Arkansas. Heavy body blah blah blah. It has a white upper lip and a black stripe. What? Hang on. Dude was in it. The snake was in his helmet, they think, for up to an hour. While he had it on. While he had it on. I can't picture that. I mean it has to be how do you not feel it? For an hour. It depends how that helmet is Yeah, if it's deeply pat if it's deeply padded and the snake's lined up in there. That bitch gotta be small one. He's lucky. I've been a little small. He's lucky, very, very lucky. A snake's lucky. A thing gonna bite through his cranium? Mm. Mm-mm. Bite his head. That's a question. I don't know if it'll bite through it, but okay. I don't know how long the fact is. Then he can hang on. All right. Well, can you go on with the sloppy toppy? I have no I have no more questions. Anyhow. All right, so. The golf outing, I went to Chicago, Jeff went to Michigan, Link just hung out and did all kinds of fun stuff. And then on top of all that, I don't know which which fun story from last week you want to talk about first. But tell us about the outing, Brett. Was it ⁓ you got another year of beautiful weather. You did get you got lucky with the weather. I never worry about the weather. ⁓ But think about it. I mean there is there was a lot of rain on either side of it. It started to get a little toasty the last hour, but not not horrible. But yeah, I I don't know. It it felt a little different this year. We were down about ⁓ ten to twelve people, which I'm fine with. I mean those people that don't show up, they can go to hell. ⁓ Especially if you're in the live studio audience. No, j just a little different. Things were smooth? No, ⁓ things were fine, but like Eagle Creek was a little bit off. It's a little bit I don't know. Stu stuff happens every single year. Sure, sure it does. But nothing significant. We were trying to manage everything. We had ⁓ we had we had some some questionable music selections at hole fifteen is is what I heard. Who was running that music? ⁓ some volunteers. ⁓ volunteers. Is that was that the new drinking hole? ⁓ yeah, the additional drink. The additional ⁓ yeah, I think there's a lot. Okay. Some twerking going on out there. They they did not get the clean playlist. ⁓ they did not. Yeah. Okay. So I I heard about that a little bit and rightfully so. I that's not what we want to do. So correct, correct. But yeah, overall, ⁓ I think a good day. And ⁓ Yeah, it was a good time. Another ⁓ Another year in the books, maybe. What time do you get home? ⁓ five thirty. Yeah. It's not too bad. It's just loading all the crap up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well take taking it out is a two to three day process. Whatever. We'll just unpack this over a few days. Yep. Cool. Our ch our team played very well. Yeah, we did. We did some We're hitting putts. Who was that's the difference? Who was on your team? Obviously you two and Not Tom and who else? There we go. Blosser. Blosser from Blosser and then ⁓ my old college roommate. Okay. Nice. Yeah. It was good. And everybody at some point contributed a little bit. Yeah. Awesome. Good. Yeah. First time I'd played since the last golf outing. And actually I was okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was I was decent. You were hitting the ball well. No swings and misses? ⁓ nothing. Not consistent. Yeah, I mean a duff here and there should be ⁓ yeah, that happens too to the best of us. So one thing I don't think you actually witnessed. ⁓ okay, probably. Hole number ten. So we're we're towards the end of our hole number ten. And you know, obviously in in a scramble outing, everybody hits their balls, three of you go pick up, you just drop, go hit your balls again, blah, blah, blah. So We're collecting golf balls. I was driving our cart. As the day goes along, so when you first start picking up golf balls, easy peasy. Easy peasy. Slow down, sometimes complete stop. Yep. Somebody takes a step out of the cart, bends down, picks a ball up, gets back in the cart, we move on. No big deal. As the day goes along, that cart doesn't slow down quite as much as it normally does. But when you're driving and holding on to the steering wheel and trying to lean down and grab the ball as you're going over it full blast, no slowdown. ⁓ And you miss. And then you turn around like a a skier fell off your you know, fell down on in a a water ski. And ⁓ you just turned the boat around, no big deal. Swiped out a second time, missed again. Turn around again, next thing you know, I wasn't in the cart anymore. ⁓ I I saw the two circles, I didn't see the fallout. ⁓ Completely fell out. Did you take a little tumble? Yeah, a little bit. My my right shoulder actually is a little bit sore still. ⁓ Lenko drank more than he has at any golf outing. okay. Let loose a little bit, huh? There were there was a three hole stretch where this son bitch would not shut up. ⁓ just non and he he you know, he doesn't talk that much. And he just he was he was he was non stop for for three holes. He had lots to say. Was he on beer or bourbon or both? ⁓ well Blocky was there volunteering. So he had some pre made stuff. Gotcha. And yeah. So a little old fashioned. Were you drinking old fashioned set on a golf course? Just one. I just had one of those. That's some good stuff, isn't it? He didn't have any of it, Tom. He's not twenty one until he had eight of ⁓ No, he didn't have of Nobody can hand it to Freddy. Nobody can see him. Nobody knows he's here. He's not on camera. We did have a first because of the ⁓ age of the victors ⁓ we dr and the condition of one of the victors. We drank water out of the cup. ⁓ nice not not beer yet. Good. Sound like a good time. ⁓ good. ⁓ it was. You know, you you got enough people help and try to improve some stuff every year, change a little bit here and there. It's you know. Yep. I I think if you don't have a good time there you're Yeah, that's your broken. Yeah. Yep. Absolutely. And if you don't even show up. You can't have a good time. Yeah. Yeah. We don't know anything about that. ⁓ this was the thirteenth. Holy shit. Well, for me running it. It's been around since nineteen ninety nine. ⁓ Okay. So like it was Coach Godd like the originator, I think, of doing a a golf event for a sport. Like, that's stupid dude. What what are we doing here? Yeah. Turn it turns out it's an okay thing. Yeah, yeah. Start out the ⁓ the Elks Club out there on forty, US forty. ⁓ yeah. Old ⁓ I think the old Elks Club or something like that. I don't know what it's called, but Oak Ridge, I think it's Oak Ridge. Plainfield area. Oak Hill? Past Plainfield. Oak Tree. Oak Tree. Oak Tree. Yeah, oak something. Yep. Old Oak something. Yeah. So I I I don't know. I I I normally don't run ideas past you guys, but I was thinking next year for the winners, butt plugs. Think that'd be good, Tom? I don't think they'll take ⁓ out of the box. I would take them out of the box and give them to them, is what I would do. ⁓ so they know property proper education. Some people know how to use them up for Not comfortably. You guys are broken. Anyhow. All right, cool. That was fun. What else went on, Tommy? Well, Chicago you know Chicago, I know I complained about it. Do you have any road rage? You almost get in a fight, getting in line for ticket or getting into the venue. So spill beer on anybody? To the going going up, I go there all the time. So I have the easy pass transponder thing in my car. Well, I didn't even really think about this. we didn't take my car. So not one in current wife's car. Seventy dollar. Well, no, the cost of the tolls didn't bother me. The retards that don't know how to go through the toll booth did. ⁓ huh. It's her. We're stuck w for forty minutes. What? Forty minutes because it was so congested where you had to On that side on the other side of town, yes you do. They don't take pictures of your license planners or do you anna side, no. They don't. You either gotta have the easy pass or you gotta pay the Really? Yeah. Before you what is it, eighty West, I think it is. So the indie side doesn't have the open tolling, that's what's called when you just drive. As a matter of fact, the first one didn't even have people at it. It was just car putting money in the machine. The second one still had a person in it. Really? Yeah. Huh. Yeah. She must be he or she must be tenured. No, she wasn't that old. She was she hot. ⁓ no. She was but boy, she was having a great day, let me tell you. We pull up to the second one. Nice range. Current wife always she's like, This person's having a bad day, so let's make it better type. ⁓ that's ⁓ my. And sh so we pull up and I'm handing the girl my card and she's like, and current wife's like, How are you today? Are you having a great day? And this girl just she first she looks at her like I'm gonna punch you in the face and then she just starts laughing. And I was like, Okay, well here we go. No, maybe she did cheer her up then. Yeah, so she probably cheered her up. But we finally get there. So my three hour drive took five. ⁓ that was exciting. But ⁓ yeah, so didn't you leave in the morning? ⁓ we didn't we didn't get out till about eleven. So that's ten Chicago. Eleven, eleven thirty, something like that. We got up we yeah, we didn't get there till four thirty, I think. Chicago time. So it was in a grueling. That's rough little it was it sucked. Yeah. So anyhow, but after that, we ⁓ we just partied in Chicago Friday night. Partied in Chicago Saturday night and I got aggravated Friday night at three dots and a dash because I wanted to go have a rum drink, but we got in and I got mad and I left. So hang on, that can't be. I did. That's exactly how it went out. I stood in line to get into the joint. You get in. And here's the story. Yeah, let's go with that part of the story. Chubbed up a little bit excited. Yeah. Nice. Okay. I was happy. ⁓ it's a rum bar. So we get ⁓ in. And I'm like, we're gonna stay here for a little while and there's open tables. There's no signs on them that say reserve. There's nobody when you walk in it says, Hey, you can't sit at tables, you you know, none of that. So we go in and there's this nice little round like booth bar or table deal. And so we sit down, one of the one of the people that were with us went to the restroom and ⁓ the girl comes over and goes, ⁓ no, no, no. These are only for reserved, these are reservations. You have to stand up here. And I was like, F you. I'm not doing that. I'm just not. You don't have a sign. You didn't tell anybody that when they came in. You just let people in. You didn't see them. You just said, come on in. You didn't there were no rules. Mm-hmm. So I was like, F you and I left. Kind of like Outback. Yeah. Current so current current wife and I went outside and we went somewhere else while the other two stayed there and they're like, And drink rum. We'll stand here and have a drink. And drink rum. I was like, Go ahead. Drink whatever you want. I'm not on principle at this point. I was just pissed. What is it with you in restaurants, Tom? I just hate I hate bullshit. I don't have patience for bullshit. ⁓ I'm with you. If we walk in and they say, These are the rules. Okay, you're gonna get in, but you don't have a reservation. So it's gonna be an hour to be standing. Yeah, you're gonna be standing at the bar to get your drink. If there's open seating at the bar, you can sit there. But if not, you're you're just gonna be standing in there. And they tell you that up front. I'd have been perfectly fine. I was like, hey, you know, we're gonna be standing there because I'm gonna have a couple drinks. But no, there's none of that. ⁓ just just ⁓ I mean, just that kind of shit makes me crazy. So ⁓ but we went to a different bar and we sat down and had drinks. So it was good. So did you make a reservation at that bar? I didn't have to. It was awesome. Walked in, they were real friendly and it was kind of curious, like could you reserve the table? We tried ahead of time. Like online. Okay. We tried ahead of time. We tried two days ahead of time and there wasn't anything open. Yeah, there wasn't anything open until you knew there were reservations. We knew there that you could make a reservation. Okay. Now I'm starting to get a little bit more of the story here. We knew you could make a reservation. We didn't know you had to. Okay. And they don't they don't tell you that. So were there other people just standing up around? Yeah, there were all kinds of people standing up at the bar. Could you have gotten Yeah, but then you're like but there's eighteen tables here? No, there weren't. There were like two or three. You know, it kind of looked like you know some people left or whatever. And they were all You people were socializing their interlocutor. That's why I go to rookies. You know what to expect. Exactly. Absolutely know what to expect. And you can always find a table. Yep. Most days. Yeah. For those of you playing at home, three dots and a dash is Morse code for the letter V. Why don't you tell us that? You didn't ask. And what's the V stand for? I don't even know. The Tom's vagina hurts and it's leaving. That's ⁓ victory by V during war war. WWII it became a famous Allied symbol. ⁓ you're back to this week in history. The phrase is best known as a classic ⁓ tiki cocktail created by Don Beach. Don the Beach comer. There you go. That's why it's called three dots in a day. And as the name of a prominent Chicago tiki bar. Yep. That Tom did or may not have had reservations. I've been there. I've been there before. Didn't get kicked out on people. This time not so much. So that's do they have a good selection of rum? ⁓ that's So that the there's there's a part about Chicago I hate. Yes, they do. That's the part. All the other shit you're talking about. No, no, no, no. This is this plays into that. Yes, they do. They have an amazing selection. Okay. Prices are through the roof at Chicago. They're stupid. Yeah. Because you can you can go there is a rum bar here in Indianapolis that you can go to. Get the exact same thing. They averaged two to four dollars cheaper per drink. Yeah, but the rent's probably a little cheaper here. Yeah, probably. Yeah. No, I I I understand why. How how'd you guys get there? ⁓ you Ubered. Okay. We Ubered. Because that's drinking all night. If you find a place to park, it's expensive as hell. It's ridiculous. We started out close to our hotel. We stayed ⁓ in the Westloop area and ⁓ there's a there's a whole area over there that's got some really cool bars and places. So we started out over there. Eight and then went to some bars. It was awesome. ⁓ what'd you eat? I don't remember. It was good though. Yeah, that's what I usually say. Yeah. ⁓ so that tastes good. And and if you have a chance to go see a concert at Soldier Field. Don't go. According to you, don't fucking go. ⁓ If the Beatles are coming back here, don't go. Wait, wait, so if you gotta go to Canada to see them, just go to Maybe. The guy that kicked the drummer, that quit? ⁓ They quit. Was as yeah. He probably did. Jeff, you have no idea what his name is. You don't know. You don't know I don't even remember. Anyhow, ⁓ I know Pete Best was second. I do know that. That's why I threw in the drum there quick. Acoustics of Soldier Field are just bad. That's the problem. And getting in and out of that place is a nightmare. It's it's just an absolute nightmare. It's right there along the lake. Yeah. And and you're stuck and you gotta walk miles to get an Uber afterwards. Any concert anywhere. No, it's worse. You guys have talked about concerts up at Ruolf. How many times and how shitty the afterwards getting out of the or getting in? You take Ru you take Ruff times about twenty five, that's Soldier Field. So yeah, it's it's ⁓ Well, I mean there's probably three times more people, right? What's Ruoth pack it in at most twenty five ish? Twenty five. Probably twenty five. In FL Stadium, you're probably seventy Well, probably more 'cause you you you got ⁓ four, but you're blocking off I don't know if they blocked the back. ⁓ so behind the stage there were no there was no seating, but you had the whole floor. So sixty whole field. So there's probably sixty thousand. It was supposed to be a sold out show. Yeah. So Ben Davis, Matt, that's roughly three times. Yeah, it probably is. So that's how that works. But it's ⁓ it just sucks getting in and out of the place. And and the acoustics are not good. So but the show was pretty fucking good. Well, if you need ⁓ somebody to instigate a fight with you getting in line next time, just invite me to the concert. I'm gonna go. They weird rules. Yeah, make sure cut. ⁓ They weird rules. So she could flip an older lady off. That's so beautiful. So so we were our seats were on the floor and you could buy a beer on the way in and it was a can, ⁓ sixteen ounce. And as you go to That's how Cody likes it. As you go to the check, ⁓ before you go to the floor, they put a wristband on you. And before you go into where the floor entrance is They hand you a big plastic cup that you have to pour your beer into 'cause you can't take any cans. So you don't throw the four. At least they give you a cup. Yeah. I didn't understand why they didn't just pour it in the cup when you bought it. I didn't that made no sense. Now once you were down there and the bar down there did. That's some weird logistics. The bar ⁓ just as you're walking into it doesn't and all these people are standing there with like these big stack of cups and they're just handing them to people. And I'm just like, This is kind of fucked up. Yeah. Well, 'cause they got that was they gotta pay that guy. Maybe it speeds up the process though. You're just you're buying the can of beer. Yeah, I don't know. That's a good call because I saw a cartender. I'm a logistics guy, Jeff. Yeah, there were a couple people there. I was thinking it just didn't say it What do I need this cup for? I got it. It's in a can. What do I need this cup for? I would use it to pee in later to avoid going to the back. You might want to hold on to that so you don't have to try to get out. But that's what the baseball player said also right before I got hit in the balls with the baseball. What do I need this cup for? What do I need this for? And that yeah, I just figured it out. You gotta set up where joke of the week is coming from when you do that. You gotta say what city he got hit in the balls in. Seattle. There you go. See, perfect. So joke of the week. We had a little small incident on the way out of ⁓ here we go. Fli Fly going to the driving to the airport. We were all kinda hungry and there's this little g gas station that sells pizza. They actually got pretty good food there and go in there and get a couple pops or whatever, and I said up get a couple pizzas and some snacks or whatever. Go in there and They ring up Jerry Shea and me. Jerry Shea and I, however Ben Davis would put that in their English class. So Well it in in this scenario, you wouldn't even be invited on the trip. So So Jerry and Shay walk out with their food and I've got a bag of shit in front of me. Give the lady my or I go to run the debit card and the point of sale machine freezes up. Twenty five year old girl, pink, purple, green hair, and she's like Well, I I can't take your car. The the the machine's froze up. I said, Okay. She goes, I'm gonna do a reset. And she looks down at her buddy that's running the other cash register. Is your machine froze up? He goes, Yeah, it's froze up. This girl starts having a little meltdown. So I'm staying there, I don't you know, I don't care. I'm in no hurry. You know, we're no hurry to get anywhere. And she goes, Well, this thing's not working, my manager's not here, and blah, blah, blah. And I can't take your money and ⁓ or I can't take your car. And I said, ⁓ okay. I said, Well The the total was thirty two thirty two. I said, How about I give you thirty three dollars? I had thirty three dollars in cash and I'm not gonna wait on my change, I'll just walk out of here. Well, I can't do that. There you go. And I'm like, I could tell she's stressing, so I didn't you didn't push really push it real hard with her. You didn't push it real good? Push it real good. But she is over eighteen. So this goes on for Your Honor. Probably only three or four minutes, but it felt like ten. So they're trying to reboot the system and it won't reboot. And I said, Look, I said, I really don't care about the sixty eight cents in change. I'm just gonna give you she goes, I can't let you leave here. And I'm like What are you talking about? You can't let me leave here. You you can't leave here till the transaction's done. She's yelling at now. It'll go off the inventory jump. I said, A, don't yell at me. I said, B, I'm trying to help you out here. I'm trying to get out of here 'cause you got other people back here. Well th it's crashed and I I don't know where the manager is. Manager comes over and he's he's sitting there trying to reboot it. It's not rebooting. I go, Hey dude, how about I just give you thirty three dollars, we call it a day, and I I've been in here now for ten minutes. And and I walk out of here. Well, I'm not supposed to do that, but okay. Good listen. I'm like Who said? What I'm like, everything was already fucking rung up. I'm giving you cash, not asking for change what's the big deal? Exactly. Walked out of there and I was like, the fuck? I mean, yeah. Couldn't handle a small little crisis. Yeah. Well, I had that tonight. There's a lot of people that can't go. Yeah. At a restaurant? I don't. I swear to Christ. I swear to Christ. I'm I'm the worst at restaurants. What happened? We go We go we go to pick up some dinner because I'm hungry. Right. And we had the podcast today. We're at ⁓ Yamato. ⁓ okay. Little Jap Jap ⁓ Chinese, Japanese play some browser. Dirty dirty knees looking at these? Mm-hmm. They got good food. And their bento box, it's it's a good amount of food for not a bad price. So anyhow. But what? Just go to Taco Bell. They have the same ⁓ I just Anyhow. No lettuce please. Yeah. so so we walk in. ⁓ I had to pick the girl up and whatever, doesn't matter. I d so I didn't call it in ahead of time. We show up and I order and she gives me a total forty five dollars, whatever. And I tap my card. I tap that. And my my chip sometimes yeah, sometimes yes, sometimes no. So I I said, Did it get it? And she goes Did you just call him my chip? No, my my chip, on my card. ⁓ I said I said, Did it get it? And she goes, ⁓ cool. She goes, Yeah. And I said, Okay. And then it comes up with this like code on the screen. It doesn't say decline, it just has this code. And she shows it to me. And I'm like, I don't know, maybe it didn't read the card. And she sa so I hand her the card. She sticks it in the machine. Same thing. Then she does it again. And same thing. And it keeps going in and out really quickly. It keeps she tried to swipe it, she tried to stick it in, she tried to tap it. Absolutely. All of them. So then I'm like, well, maybe it's the maybe it's a chip on my debit card. Okay, here's a credit card. It's my chip again. Same thing. And I'm like, okay. And it's again, it doesn't say declined. It just gives her an error code. And she's just looking at me like, well, didn't go. And I was like, fine, whatever, just forget it. We'll go somewhere else where I know my card will work just fine. So then I get to the car and I'm like, hold on. I cannot wait to go eat with this son bitch when we're seventy five years old. I just want to see something. At at three in the afternoon, he's gonna get his kick out of a fucking disease or whatever. I eat a lot of places. I eat a lot of places with no insults. When we go to supper. I I do. What what would you say your percentage of that is happening? Are you betting 300? Are you betting 300? Anyhow, anyhow. So I get in the car and I'm like Well, we just need to make sure so I have now I have four pending transactions from Yamato and no fucking food. And none from your mama. And I was like, Hold on. So the girl's like, What? And I said, Yeah, we're not doing this. So I go back inside. And I I got the you know, the screen pulled up and I'm like, Hey, I just need to make sure I'm not getting charged for ⁓ all these meals. And see you guys. Hey, grab your shed. Studio audience has to leave. ⁓ So Well it's closing time, Tom. It's getting close to They don't want to hear any more of your restaurant. I don't blame ⁓ It's ⁓ he's got a bad back. Yeah, so ⁓ weak back. So so I I'm like, I just don't want to get charged for all these. So I just want to make sure you're gonna avoid these whatever has to happen. She's like, Huh. And she gets on the phone. And of course Yeah, you're pissed now. There's not a lot of English going on. She gets somebody on the phone that obviously knows what's going on and she's talking to her. And then the next thing I know she does, she looks at the back of the credit card machine and she gets this look and she goes, ha ha, nope. And I was like, what the hell does that mean? ⁓ it ran out of tape. So the error was that put tape in this thing so it can print this guy's receipt so you can finalize this transaction. Exact. So then she had to go back. And she put tape in. And then you got four receipts. Yeah, imagine that. Did you get a free meal out of it? Nope. So Are you eating leftovers for the next four days? No. I stood and I got the receipts for the voided transactions, so now I gotta watch it on my bank account to make sure it anyhow. But this is my thing. And just like your deal, if you're gonna have somebody up front running that shit, you know that better than me. They they need to know how to what that what that code means. They need to know, ⁓ it didn't print any paper. Hmm. Maybe it needs paper. Mm-hmm. And I mean it was literally completely in Maybe it's a new machine. That's the first time it's ever run out of paper. I'm gonna go the other route with you here. That is bad programming. Right? You need to say air ⁓ eight with a little message on refill Yeah. You need an error on your screen that says out of paper or that is a functional message. I do I do agree with that. But at the same time, I don't know. You know, so anyhow. So there was a ⁓ I guess a little bit of a controversy at a Shake Shack. You know how we all bitch about you go into a fast food restaurant, put your card in, it's nine ninety nine for your cheeseburger meal, and do you want a tip? No tip, thirty percent, blah blah blah blah. Yeah. There was somebody that went into a shake shack and recorded the point of sale machine. And let's say it was a ⁓ eleven dollars and ninety seven cents, they pushed no tip. the price of the sale went on up. ⁓ this is sort of what Link was talking about a couple weeks ago. A weeks ago, yeah. With your 89 cent bananas. The restaurant thing or the ⁓ grocery store thing. Yeah. Yeah. That's unbelievable. Yeah, that's garbage. ⁓ can we talk about the ⁓ new athletic director of Purdue? Yeah. Which we're getting I don't know there's a lot to talk about. I don't know there's a lot to say. I mean give a little background to it. So I I don't ⁓ I I guess the the gentleman's from Rice is that correct? Texas, yeah. actually hang on, that's not true. I thought he was from East Coast, Ivy League type shit. I thought I thought he was from Texas, but it doesn't matter. Okay. Yeah. ⁓ anyway, so Purdue gets new A D. Purdue probably most known lately for men's basketball. Uh-huh. I mean they got a hell of a coach. Yep. they just kind of can't get over that hump. I played in the national final game a couple of years ago. ⁓ historically, so Purdue and Indiana are are rivals. Yep. Right. That that's the school you want to beat, doesn't matter what happens. What your record is that year? Yep. and he gets loose and says ⁓ all our athletes are gonna hear ⁓ that you're here to win championships, we're gonna win championships. If you don't wanna win a championship, you can go to Indiana. Yeah. ⁓ well the defending champs and ⁓ it's just saying so just like four months ago. So yeah, if if it wasn't ⁓ the historical number of championships with Indiana versus Purdue, it take the football part out of the equation is ⁓ I think it's like twenty five or six to three. Yeah. It's it's something very very lopsided. Swimming had a huge run. ⁓ soccer I believe has eight titles. I don't know. Men's basketball five and so and that dude got Absolutely eviscerated. Torched. I don't know what the word means, Jeff, but I I think I think it means somebody put the butt plug up there in the box on him. They did not take it out of the box. Jeff took a crap today and looked at the toilet paper and that was on his toilet paper of the world. He eviscerated the word of the day. Yeah, he did. Stepped on the stick. I mean that's how do you not know that? Trying ⁓ to, you know Have a dig on your biggest rival. Be Kirk and he was trying to be Kirk Signetti at step at his pressure. I don't yeah. I don't know that makes sense. But Signetti at his presser did not single out a single team. No, he he he thought he thought he singled out three. No, no, no, no. Hang on. ⁓ that's absolutely not true. At the press conference. ⁓ at the presser, no. At the press conference. Yeah, in the gymnasium in a confined audience, he's like, Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna rile up the crowd a little With cameras going. Yeah, but it yeah, it's but it's it's a little and nobody knew who Kurt Signetti was. Correct. At that point. I mean that's odd. That dude went from two years ago being relatively unknown to whatever. But I so when people say he's trying to do a Kurt Signetti thing, I'm like, I don't I don't know. I think what what what was the The last two football scores w in the old old combucket, I think it's a hundred and twenty two to three or something like One of one of them was ⁓ fifty six to three. But and one of ⁓ was six sixty six, I think, to zero. Yeah. Yeah. But I I mean the guy's not even didn't even s seem overly eloquent when he was talking. ⁓ probably nervous, I'll give you that. Yeah, maybe. And the dude did step out the next day on ⁓ Pat McAfee's show and said, Hey, I He basically came out and said I stepped on my dick on that comment. He knows it was it was stupid and if he owned then. I gotta remove my foot from my mouth and you know, blah, blah, blah, blah. So yeah. But speaking of sports. Yeah. What about ⁓ the old Sophie Cunningham thing? She can can't kinda get out of her own way and controversy and shit, can she? Well I don't think the WNBA can get out of the way. No, I agree. I I don't think it's that much to do with Sophie, but yeah. I mean, she's kind of behind a lot of the stuff recently. I mean coming out and saying that that boys should not play in girls sports. I'm also talking about the the flagrant foul call. Yeah, yeah. When she got her head ripped off. Yeah. Yeah. By ⁓ C Janae Carrington from Chicago Sky. Good recall there. Sweet. So I think part of that I think I think I think part of that she's a target now. Yeah. ⁓ yeah. Absolutely. I I think because she made her comments. Yep. And because of all the hoopla around it, she becomes a target. Mm-hmm. And If and I mean the WNBA has demonstrated this more than once that if you don't tote the the line with whatever their thing is today. You know what their thing is. Yeah, you never know, then all of a sudden you are a target. I think the worst part of that whole thing, and we were talking about this before the show, is that the coach you weren't here like he was running a little bit behind. Coach didn't defend her player. ⁓ huh. I think that's the bigger problem. I don't disagree with you totally. And I think ⁓ and that's happened more than once this year. A lot of times. Yeah. And if your coach doesn't have your back, then y that's big. You know, that's huge. You lose the locker room. Yeah, you you lose the locker room and they're just there fending for themselves essentially. Yeah, so you sometimes you gotta fight for your place even if you don't know what happened. Mm-hmm. Like man, I'm a hundred. I'm here to protect my team. That's what you her story after the words was she didn't see it, whatever, which I kinda call bullshit on. But at the end of the day, even if you didn't see it, it's your player. Correct. And she's bleeding from her mouth because she got an arm ball, arm bar get across her n her whole frickin' face. I'm glad you said mouth, Tom, since we're talking W ⁓ B A. Yeah. And she could have been seriously in. ⁓ she could have fucked up her knee. If you saw her land, she could have she torn her knee. All kinds of shit could have gone wrong. Yeah. The girl got ejected, so obviously they saw something. Hard fouls or hard fouls. After review. After they went to review. Yeah. ⁓ they didn't eject her first? No. And then go to review to confirm it. Are you kidding me? It's WNBA. I I was gonna say that's after review. Pretty sure they called it a flagrant one. They went to the video, came back, said no it's a flagrant two, and you get You get ejected or whatever. And then she went to locker room and tweeted or whatever, ⁓ white white privilege. So I was curious. I looked it up. One one of the three referees on the court, according to the interwebs, was African American. I'm like, Well then it's it's not like all everybody there was a white person and everybody just pointed to you and go, You did it. Y that's on you. I'm like, Well, one of the officials was African American, so I don't know. I just I I don't know. The whole the whole thing just then it's that whole storyline gets old. It does. Yeah. She came from money. I want to get us into what white privilege is, but white privilege isn't strictly money. According to Sophie Cunningham, I I just want to make that compliment. She basically did the same thing earlier, took somebody's head off on a whatever. And she got ejected. Yeah. Because sh deservedly so. Yeah. You take somebody's head off. It kinda sort of looked like maybe she was reaching for the ball with her right hand. Maybe. But she didn't make contact with it. She's nowhere close. There was no reason. And she wasn't anywhere close. She wasn't athletic enough to I mean not not dissing any just saying. She literally was not athletic enough to get to the ball. Correct. And you knock somebody's into the side of their head and knock them completely to the ground. What do you think is gonna happen? Yeah. In in any league at any level, you should instantly expect it. Expect to get kicked out of that game. And you don't, you should be thinking everybody, okay, my bad. And and she actually on defense had to really run to even get in position to flagrant five. And she's not gonna make that play. There's no WMBA player that's gonna make that block. There's not. And it's it's an opportunity to take a shot. So my so the the WMBA did not come out and condone what she tweeted afterwards. The foul's the foul. I mean it's a hard foul. That happens in basketball. I've got no issue with the actual foul. I agree. Truly don't But when you go back in the locker room and five minutes later you get on social media and you say white privilege, I've got a big issue with that. That's the most racist statements you can make. And for the WNBA not to come out and say, Now let's reverse let's reverse roles. Sophie Cunningham does that to her and she goes back, she gets booted, as she should. Ooh, good question. And she goes back in the locker room and tweets out black privilege. You think the WA WNBA is not gonna comment on that? You don't think she's gonna get fired? She had five game suspension. If she ever plays in the league again. Yeah. I mean, let's be honest. I mean the if if she ever plays in the league again. The double standard within the WNBA is so glaring. And that's what people like the casual fans like us that used to watch it when Caitlin witnessed. Her rookie year, I probably watched four or five games. That's More than I've ever watched the first thirty years that WBA to a few. Yeah. Yeah. The WBA wasn't exist. The girl went to a game last night. Yeah. Hell, we even won a title here. Yes. Yeah. In Indiana. Yes. Yeah. With Tamika. Yeah. Catchings. Yeah. And nobody Nobody it did it didn't bad enough. Yeah. Like I think I found out like four days later. I'm like, ⁓ that's cool. Yeah, look at that. So now now they are relegating themselves to just being nothing but a clown league. So here here's ⁓ here's where I think some of these comments this goes back to the business aspect for me. You gotta know who's paying your bills. ⁓ Interwebs link, ⁓ say that of ticket sales, estimated fifty seven percent white. ⁓ roughly thirty two percent African American. Mm-hmm. So you've already, with a comment like that, potentially pissed off the bulk of the people. Almost sixty percent of your six crowds. Sixty percent of the people that are paying over half. Yeah. Mm-hmm. That's crazy. That is crazy. But I'm gonna guess in and not a political statement, but fifty percent of those sixty percent agree with her that's that we do have white privilege. That she does have white privilege. Guarantee it. Maybe. Guarantee it. Well, stick sticking with the WNBA. What about ⁓ what about your former NBA boys? Enus Cantor Freedom, Royce White, and now apparently Larry Sanders, who I've never heard I mean I've heard of Larry Sanders, but not that guy. That guy's coming back to the No, I think he died. Have now ⁓ are officially saying they're declaring for the now just because now I can officially come out and say I'm declaring for the twenty twenty seven Well, that doesn't interesting part. I'm going to actually be drafted and be in the league. I feel like you have a chance, Link. ⁓ you never know. But but anyway. Probably gotta work on your rebounding a little bit. Probably block out. Aren't you the most apological Holland? I think so, yeah. I'm pretty pretty sure. Tom. Don't go there, Tommy. Tom bless you. We know she's upstairs. I was But anyway, that that is very curious. ⁓ what was trying to f what's their reasoning though for Because they identify as a female. And the WNBA put you block your glass with your beers, I can't tell what's why I ring my bell. Just move the Anita Ward ringing my bell. So th their whole inclusivity and the whole thank you. You know, that that coach that came out and you know, trans kids matter and this. Well we're gonna find out. Are are they doing this as a a a a joke? No, I think they're dead serious. I think they wanna bust they wanna bust they're forcing the league to make a decision. Are are they saying your rules aren't defined? Yes, yes, that's what they're doing, right? Yes, hundred percent. So Roy Royce White basically I'm trying to find the actual what he said. Man, I'm trying I'm trying to find it. But yeah, he's basically saying that they're not clearly defined. Correct. And when it comes to playing basketball, ⁓ it in a in a in a jest ⁓ nutshell, basically what he said is I identify as a trans athlete when it comes to playing basketball certain times in this situation, blah blah blah. I identify as this. So If I do, then I should I'm declaring for the draft and I should be able to He's probably put together with a lawyer a very legal he approach to it. I think Enos Cantors was a lot better on the lawyer upping thing than that this Roy Stude was. I hate to say I think they both got I hate to say we called this three years ago, but we sort of did in a joking way. ⁓ Yeah, we're ahead of our time. I don't know why more people don't listen to anybody can buy podcast equipment. So Eng Engelbert, the That was a TikTok comment this time. Yeah, the the the commissioner, Engelbert came out and said, We are forming a committee. You got charged four times for that podcast equipment. To find out what what the legalities are. What what wait a second? You're you've operated this long. There's no legalities to discover. That It's plain and simple. I mean you literally have coaches out there wearing shirts that say trans lives matter. Trans kids lives matter. I mean so so now you're stuck. We're on to football next week. Absolutely. Let's give this another hard five minutes of pounding the W MBA because it's a fucking joke. It's an absolute joke. We beat the NBA up for the last three weeks, or the W NBA up for the last three weeks because they're so easy. Mm-hmm. Right. I mean it's it's an easy conversation because it it consumes everything now. Again, like we've said multiple times, a league that was completely unknown two years ago, yeah, three years ago even, is now the spotlight in sports because of the spectacle it's become. It it is, it is and I still think once football starts all this Nobody's talking about anymore. It's a it becomes the footnote that it deserves to be. So I I I hit all three of these chicks up on Insta. Yep. Yeah. Personal messages. ⁓ ⁓ you slide into their DMs. ⁓ no, I dick picked into them. Did you show ⁓ your OnlyFans account? I did, yeah. Yeah. That thing's still not much activity. Yeah. I don't know what's going on there. you gotta update it. Kind of like the website. ⁓ yeah, that's been updated. Angel Reese has like on Insta like five million. ⁓ huh. ⁓ Caitlin's like three point five and ⁓ Sophie's like three point two. Yeah. And I I really thought just because of ⁓ Sophie's looks that that she would have be a lot more. Yeah. Racey. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, racy. She shakes her ass. Yeah. I think ⁓ I think Angel Reese probably gets more because there's people that just want to see the train wreck. I'm serious. It could be. Maybe. I don't I don't I don't think they're all fans. So Ro Royce White's quote. in his ⁓ his online press conference with I don't know Fox News or whoever this was, ⁓ he literally says, I'm transgender. I'm a woman. I identify as sometimes identifying as a woman for purpose of basketball, professional basketball. So I'll be declaring for the WNBA twenty twenty seven draft. He says I think the WNBA could come out and make a definitive statement about guys with a pair of balls playing in the women's association. That's his quote, not mine, not ours. That's him. Look it up on Googles. So yeah. And then somebody said, asked him whether he would proven a point. ⁓ would proceed unless the league didn't make a statement. ⁓ he basically says, ⁓ no, I'm declaring and I don't want to be discriminated against. I I want fair treatment. I'm a young black, hopefully United States Senator. That would like a fair chance to participate as a sometimes identifying as a transgender woman athlete. On basketball days. On bass on days on gain days. Why not? Game game and practice day. Yeah. Why not why not LeBron at the the end of his career go, you know what, I can't keep up with these dudes anymore, but fuck it. Why not? Why not? I mean, these guys are ⁓ do you think his son would even start in the WNBA? No, probably I don't know. Brownie Brown. I think he'd be even better than this this guy's talking a big game too of like he's like I I would dominate. Yeah, they they won't even talk about Caitlin Clark. He's like, she wouldn't even touch the ball if I was playing defen defense on her. And he's right. Like just he goes, I there there ain't nothing to it. I would completely dominate and and that's the point of what Sophie had come out and said that men should not be playing in women's sports. I mean that's that's just common fucking sense. And she just get she got Again eviscerated ⁓ for for that comment's twice in one yeah, twice in one podcast. But it's the same word. Yeah, exactly. But that is that just not common sense. I I mean I know common sense left a building years ago. You take a third round NBA draft pick and put it up against a first round W NBA draft pick, I can tell you who's gonna hand the hand them the draft. Take high school basketball all star. I I thought about this since our last week I wasn't prepared for this. I wasn't either. I do not think a high school boys' basketball team now stay with me here for the whole thought. Not an all star team. A team that won the state title. You don't think the Marion Giants from nineteen eighty seven would decimate a WNBA basketball team? Eighteen year old kids. I I just I don't know, man. I don't know if that's true or not. I'm right. I'm not saying that I agree is what I'm saying with your I'm not saying that they would smash him. I can't it can't just be any high school basketball team. But if you if you had a legitimate center, you would probably But so we have we had a smash we had a comment on our social media last week or something like that. Well how do you know? Something about ⁓ 'cause Tom sent it to us. ⁓ Tom bless you told me. ⁓ something about there's no proof that ma Male athletes, blah blah blah blah blah. So my so my thought process on this was we could go down a whole rabbit hole. You put a all star team together from the dub from the WNBA and put another one together on the MBA and somebody puts a gun to your head and says, You must bet your house on which team is going to win. What's the point, Fred? So if there's no if there's no proof, as somebody on socials said, there's no proof that male athletes have a a an unfair advantage or an advantage. Fair unfair, then then who are you putting your money on? Yeah. And if if the answer is one hundred point zero zero percent that it's males then then I just and some of that some of that argument just prove their point wrong. on social media over that comment was that after so many years of ⁓ yeah that HRT treatments and all that stuff unproven. I a hundred percent just saying I Googled all that. I I researched it before I started responding on TikTok actually. but they they contend that after two to three years of HRTs it levels the playing field. Hormone replacement therapy. Okay. Because the male hormones are suppressed that long. Tom's in year one, so we'll a couple of things. Somebody I am not. these are just Links in year one? These are beer titties. but ⁓ there's no there's no therapy going on. the ⁓ Can you live? I don't know. That's not you mentioned it, I might try that. Anyhow Somebody said called bullshit on it and they said, ⁓ so a man's hands get smaller because they go on their on hormone replacement there. Yeah, yeah. They get shorter, they lose they lose that much muscle mass that they're not more physically bullshit. They I mean they just felt alcohol pull bullshit. They're they're like, No, men, you're not gonna regress that much that it actually takes you all the way to Yeah. So equal playing. I have no idea. But but the You'd hit it, Tom. Girls No, I would girls' college basketball teams scrimmage against boys. ⁓ huh. Mm-hmm. For for a reason. Sure. To get better. It's a it's a better level of competition. To get better. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I mean, I I could I could talk an hour about ⁓ boys and girls wrestling. Sure. Sure. The elite girls wrestlers have grown up wrestling boys. I just there's just I don't know. Yeah. So I maybe if I was a female I'd be I'd try to argue that more, but it's it's obvious. Sure. It is is obvious. May maybe not as an eight to ten year old. Mm-hmm. But as a twenty year old, ⁓ you things are a lot different. Yeah, different. So I heard a ⁓ potential theory as to why the WNBA hasn't coming out c hasn't coming out, hasn't come out and announced their Evisceration processes. Yes, yeah, yeah. Is because they already have males transgendered, no, that are already playing in the league. ⁓ and I think I think about that and I go, come on, that that can't happen because if I'm a player for the Dallas whatever whatever they're called, and I get traded to the Indiana fever, I'm I'm gonna be like, Hey, the ⁓ Dallas has got a dude in their locker room. How would you know though? I I know that sounds crazy. Shower scene? No, there's come on. Showers are all independent now. There's not yeah, there's no have all that. There's no communal shower anymore at any level, by the way, not even in high school. I guess you look to see their camel toe or is there dick swinging? No, you you got them back. Yeah. I I'm I'm gonna say this this might sound strange. This might sound very strange. I actually think you can hide that. Maybe. I don't know. I think you have to be very intentional about it, but that's one that's one theory I've heard as to why they have not come out and definitely. But how would they know? How would they know? And and that's I think that's how would the league know? I think that's the problem. Well, I but but I mean seriously. Realistically, if somebody transitioned when they were in junior high or high school, it's conceivable. Yeah, they could probably pull off the rouge. You know what I mean? And and convince everybody they are fe because once you get out of that immediate group of people that know who you are, and you go to maybe you move and go to a different high school and then you end up going to college and you've always played that I'm a woman card, even though you may not be a hundred percent, I think you can control that at some level and you probably could pull that off. And I don't think that's that's far fetched. I think No that I think through I I I retracked my standard I I don't I don't think you can hide that. Especially with s ⁓ social media and everything that there is now I yeah. I don't know. I I think if you if you put forth enough effort, you could probably pull it off and maybe for a little bit. Yeah, maybe. I don't know. Maybe. So yeah, they're this all changed this will be probably our last breath we waste on. WNBA until the next controversy happens. But I still think that fever fever gonna make a run. Until until next until next year. The fever are good. They're they're playing well. They're playing well now, yeah. They they weren't at the beginning of the season, but despite their coach. Un until the ⁓ twenty twenty seven WNBA draft, then we'll be talking about it again, see what happens. That's gonna be interesting. It's gonna be very interesting. Because they it if if they don't allow it, then you're really not ⁓ about inclusivity. Which is what you've espoused for for the last five, six, seven, eight years. If you do allow it, it's gonna wreck your league. And if you look at a guy and say, No, you're not being serious about being transgender Don't tell me that. You can't you can't tell me that's Inclusive for the folks they want to include. Okay. Right. Okay. I mean that's what it seems like it's become. Sure. All right. So now are we there? Is it time? J Hey, have you guys ever heard the Foo Fighter song Wheels? On the bus go rounding. Rounding. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, eight, eight, eight, eighteen wheels on a big week. They did that song. They don't ever do that song in concert. And they said they made a comment that it's very popular in Germany, but that it doesn't play well here. And they never have done it before. It was a three hour show. But yeah, they it's a great song. Anyhow, sorry. I got destroyed. Was Gilling in there? You sound like me now, Tom on the sidebar. Not sure what just happened. That was a complete sidebar. You sound like me. It's just a great song. I just thought about it. I will listen to it. You should. Wheels. Wheels. By Fo by the Flu Fighters. It's a fantastic song. All right. Jungle Week, where are we coming from? Okay. Do we have to go through the entrance to intro again? Let's please do. Listen to it. Jungle Week! ⁓ they So once in a while I'll throw I throw in a meme, right, just for good measure. Yes. I'm not gonna scroll through my phone to find it, but ⁓ the gist of this week's meme was meme, sorry, I think I said meme. ⁓ memey was you think you have enough time before the doctor walks in. You know, you're waiting in a waiting room, right? Yes. Yeah. It's like he happens to walk in right when you put the stethoscope on your balls. In the waiting room? ⁓ no, in the ⁓ you're waiting for the doctor. ⁓ okay. But we are going we are going from ⁓ West Lafayette, Indiana. Is it the stethoscope around his neck though? No, you're using it to measure your ball. That's doctor daddy. Why is it gonna be a male doctor? Yeah. Can you do that on a female doctor? ⁓ No, you're saying it's your balls. ⁓ yeah. Your ball. Your balls. All right. So ⁓ from West Lafayette, Indiana. Lafayette, Indiana. Wherever pretty is that. Is it just straight up Lafayette? West Lafayette. West West Lafayette. Because you wouldn't be wanting to be from East Lafayette. No. Bad side of town. ⁓ I don't think I'm offending any specific race guys. ⁓ come on. They're mighty Mintel Joe Ball. I'm Jim. ⁓ how many flies does it take to screw in a light bulb? How many flies in West Lafayette, Indiana? So is this an Asian fast food restaurant? Indian. Did you say fries or French fries? You've been actually flies. ⁓ flies. Flies. ⁓ okay. Flies. Non-Asian fast food restaurant. How many how many flies does it take to screw in a light bulb? Zero because they don't have electricity in Africa? Or West Lafayette. I'm not sure that I made the connection there, but they did. What ⁓ that is not the correct answer I'm looking for. Well it's probably in the ballpark though. So ⁓ in the country. It's probably in the country. In the country. I'll tell you ⁓ pace and enunciation matters here. So how many flies does it take to screw in a light bulb? How many flies does it take to screw? Now I'm thinking about a fly fucking a light bulb. ⁓ hang on. Two flies fucking inside the light bulb. Monkey and a football. Yeah. That too. All right. ⁓ Lincoln, are you apparently the answer's two. The answer is two. Two. But I don't know how they got in there. No, I don't either. It's crazy. ⁓ So the imagey image imagery was correct. Unless you have an orgy of flies, then there's gonna be multiple flies in there. Yeah, then you gotta leave your keys outside the light bulb. There's a whole lot of shit that goes on there. That's a floorgy is what they call this. That's another episode of Assolid Fort Beer Thoughts. God, we're so glad you tolerated that.
