Speaker 1: About Rod Stewart.
00:00:02
Speaker 2: He's hit back at British tabloids bellworthy or h yeah, not quite but very interesting story. So backstory to this is a story emerged saying that Rod and his wife Penny were having a disagreement about where they should primarily base themselves La or the UK. They have homes in both. The problem would all love to have. So the problem is, of course Rod a lot of his work is in Vegas. He wanted to be in LA and Penny is actually a police constable, actually works on the streets as a police constable and needs to be in London to do that. Right, So the story is one of those stories that you would think someone like Rod Stewart would just say, oh yeah, another crappy story, move on, But interestingly he didn't do that. He's responded at length, and I think it's almost like an over response because he does go on to say they in fact have already moved back to the UK twelve months ago, but then he changes the narrative very much to be about how their marriage is still incredibly strong and there's no problem at all in the marriage, and that really wasn't what the story was about in the first place. So it just seems a strange thing to want to throw out there and make it into a story about is Rod Stewart's marriage in trouble. So I don't know why he would be provoked to respond in that way. You know, usually you just kind of rise above her and move on. So watch this space. But he says everything's fine, we're living back in the UK. He does protest too loudly that way.
00:01:27
Speaker 1: Well, I think if there's going to be any trouble in their marriage, it would be over the hair straightener and straighter And she said, I told you, or put it back. We like at least turn it on. Fans, you're asking, what's the story this morning? Fete? What's that?
00:01:41
Speaker 2: So ticket's about to go on sale over the weekend. You know, next week we'll be talking about the incredible response. However, there is some anger in the tribe because the ticket prices have been released and needless to say, they're expensive. They're not working at the old pub prices from twenty five years ago. So this in fact, they're saying the lead in price based in London, for example, the lead in price with your booking fee is three hundred Australian dollars that's standing room, and then it will go up to as much as five point fifty if you want seating. And then of course there's VIP packages which will go way in excess of that. So they are going to be very expensive tickets. They've already added three extra news shows and you can be guaranteed by Monday or Tuesday they'll be adding a whole lot more. It's going to sell. And the funny thing is, whenever we have these stories about big event shows and the ticket prices, you know, it's those really expensive ones that go first, and it's the cheaper ones they actually usually have trouble selling. So here's another interesting twist. Now there has been a leaked document, or at least a leaked piece of paper that lists the international tour dates for the group. Now interestingly, for Australia, they are only listing concerts in Perth. So is this going to be like Coldplay? When did those exclusive shows in Perth and then they did come back.
00:03:04
Speaker 1: Have they a deal?
00:03:05
Speaker 2: That was a deal? Yeah? Now I would be surprised if that is the case. It may be still they're locking in the other venues in the other cities. But according to this leaked document. They're saying Perth only at this stage it doesn't look all that official. That document, a sheet of a four paper with a few days.
