TENTANG EPISODE INI
DESCRIPTION:
In this week's episode, we continue with "STIGMAS, TABOOS, & STEREOTYPES: WORLD CHILDHOOD DV & TRAUMAS (PART 3)" w/LEAH ABRAHAM" as she responds to Dr. Rosenna Bakari, Ph.D from our amazing podcast last week. Leah Abraham is a Childhood Trauma Expert, Trauma Informed Transformation Coach & Healing Guide, Clubhouse Moderator, Creator of the 5Step Healing Process, & regular collaborator.
Leah & I discuss our personal family experiences as it relates to commentary from Dr. Bakari and Musician, Entrepreneur, and St. Louis native Akon. He talked about his cultural background differences with polygamy vs. monogamy, multiple children, & arranged marriages in his family that resides in Senegal. The commentary provided by Leah also covers sexual abuse regarding Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), secrets in close-knit large families, & meeting the needs of the women, wives, and children facing these cultural complexities.
(Due to copyright laws, we are unable to play the video clips of Akon's interview. However, we will post the links to both in the show notes.)
We wrap up this interview (pre-recorded in December 2022) as usual, with our Missing Persons/True Crime case listed below. There's a final episode we'll publish soon to complete Part 3 from a worldwide perspective TBD in July 2023.
