1
00:00:00,960 --> 00:00:07,839
One of the big things that I saw from we're
talking about the Golf Channel's "Live From the
2
00:00:07,839 --> 00:00:12,079
Ryder Cup" and how good that's been this week
so far.
3
00:00:12,320 --> 00:00:17,304
But the one thing that stood out to me is the
stadium seating.
4
00:00:17,464 --> 00:00:23,385
They have built these massive stadium seatings
that kinda rival like the Waste Management
5
00:00:23,385 --> 00:00:24,585
Phoenix Open.
6
00:00:24,664 --> 00:00:26,425
And I'm like, oh, wow.
7
00:00:26,425 --> 00:00:31,640
Like this would actually be really cool to go
out there, get a spot, and just post up for a
8
00:00:31,640 --> 00:00:32,039
little while.
9
00:00:32,039 --> 00:00:34,439
I don't know if it is all about like,
10
00:00:34,439 --> 00:00:36,200
I wouldn't wanna walk around Bethpage.
11
00:00:36,200 --> 00:00:39,000
Luke Donald and fuck Team Europe.
12
00:00:40,039 --> 00:00:43,079
You look like you are U.S.
13
00:00:43,079 --> 00:00:43,559
ready.
14
00:00:44,085 --> 00:00:46,405
We had to help them win the fucking war.
15
00:00:46,405 --> 00:00:46,884
Alright?
16
00:00:46,884 --> 00:00:51,844
And now we're gonna beat the pants off them
just like we did when we dumped a bunch of tea
17
00:00:51,844 --> 00:00:52,884
off the boat.
18
00:00:53,844 --> 00:00:55,684
The good old Boston Tea Party.
19
00:00:55,684 --> 00:01:03,140
I am a bleeding red, white, and blue American,
so I don't care if the United States team was
20
00:01:03,140 --> 00:01:04,900
deceased and showed up to play.
21
00:01:04,900 --> 00:01:06,739
I'm going with the fucking U.S.
22
00:01:06,739 --> 00:01:07,299
team.
23
00:01:07,379 --> 00:01:08,420
USA.
24
00:01:10,979 --> 00:01:11,459
USA.
25
00:01:12,099 --> 00:01:13,299
Still believe in it, you know?
26
00:01:14,055 --> 00:01:15,094
Still love this place.
27
00:01:15,094 --> 00:01:20,534
So anything that we're involved in, especially
if it's a fight, even if it's a golf fight, go
28
00:01:20,534 --> 00:01:21,495
use it.
29
00:01:26,534 --> 00:01:29,495
Welcome back, everybody, to Pull Hook Golf, the
podcast.
30
00:01:29,810 --> 00:01:31,170
I'm your host, Matt Cook.
31
00:01:31,170 --> 00:01:36,049
Tonight, we've got our co-host and tour
insider, Mister Brent Grant with us.
32
00:01:36,049 --> 00:01:39,810
We've also got Buttsy joining us here in just a
little bit.
33
00:01:39,810 --> 00:01:44,635
So looking forward to this episode because this
only comes around once every two years.
34
00:01:44,635 --> 00:01:48,075
It is the Ryder Cup, and this one is very
special.
35
00:01:48,234 --> 00:01:56,850
The 2025 Ryder Cup show here on Pull Hook Golf,
your favorite unfiltered golf podcast.
36
00:01:57,090 --> 00:02:01,650
And before we get started here tonight, we do
want to shout out to our sponsors.
37
00:02:01,650 --> 00:02:03,090
First off, Devereux Golf.
38
00:02:03,090 --> 00:02:08,129
I'm rocking their collection, which they did
for the Ryder Cup.
39
00:02:08,555 --> 00:02:12,075
I wore the yellow one two weeks ago and I
realized, oh, shoot.
40
00:02:12,075 --> 00:02:12,875
This is Europe.
41
00:02:12,875 --> 00:02:13,675
Little early.
42
00:02:13,675 --> 00:02:16,314
Like, and I kinda like that one a little bit
better.
43
00:02:16,314 --> 00:02:17,194
I gotta be honest.
44
00:02:17,194 --> 00:02:18,395
That's why I wore it first.
45
00:02:18,474 --> 00:02:21,840
But this one is the U.S.
46
00:02:21,840 --> 00:02:22,400
style.
47
00:02:22,400 --> 00:02:24,159
You got the red Johnnie Walker.
48
00:02:24,159 --> 00:02:27,040
You got the Devereux Golf skull over on the
side.
49
00:02:27,360 --> 00:02:28,639
Feeling fresh tonight.
50
00:02:28,639 --> 00:02:30,000
Feeling very USA.
51
00:02:30,000 --> 00:02:33,360
And by the way, this is raised over here, which
is pretty cool.
52
00:02:33,360 --> 00:02:35,040
And then on the back, it says keep walking.
53
00:02:35,284 --> 00:02:35,525
Love
54
00:02:35,525 --> 00:02:35,764
it.
55
00:02:35,764 --> 00:02:37,444
The Johnnie Walker style.
56
00:02:37,444 --> 00:02:42,645
So, yeah, good shout out to Devereux Golf and
Johnnie Walker, by the way.
57
00:02:43,044 --> 00:02:47,685
Make sure to go get yourself some Johnnie
Walker Blue for the Ryder Cup this week.
58
00:02:48,110 --> 00:02:50,349
I feel like that would be nice on the rocks.
59
00:02:50,349 --> 00:02:53,069
You know, we did that during Waste Management
Open week.
60
00:02:53,550 --> 00:02:54,189
Oh, man.
61
00:02:54,189 --> 00:02:58,189
If I was drinking right now, I tell you what, I
would be having a couple of those glasses for
62
00:02:58,189 --> 00:03:03,805
sure, but make sure folks drink responsibly
over the age of 21 or older.
63
00:03:03,805 --> 00:03:04,365
Okay?
64
00:03:05,004 --> 00:03:12,764
Also, Devereux Golf, you could utilize the
promo code, PullHookGolf20 at checkout for 20%
65
00:03:12,764 --> 00:03:16,330
off your entire order over at devereuxgolf.com.
66
00:03:16,330 --> 00:03:19,930
That's devereuxgolf.com.
67
00:03:20,250 --> 00:03:23,530
And folks, they're gonna be coming out with a
fall collection too.
68
00:03:23,689 --> 00:03:29,129
I was over there a couple weeks ago and I got a
sneak peek at the fall collection.
69
00:03:29,594 --> 00:03:37,754
And I'm gonna tell you right now, I am jazzed
because as Bert told me, you know, they made
70
00:03:37,754 --> 00:03:44,390
some stuff that you know is still very much
Devereux Golf, but they also have some great,
71
00:03:45,030 --> 00:03:54,469
like classic style golf wear that still has
that Devereux spin to it, but much more in line
72
00:03:54,469 --> 00:04:00,675
with, I feel like our audience as well as just
mainstream golfers out there that are going to
73
00:04:00,675 --> 00:04:01,875
country clubs and so forth.
74
00:04:01,875 --> 00:04:04,354
So this fall collection is gonna be dynamite.
75
00:04:04,354 --> 00:04:05,395
Make sure to check it out.
76
00:04:05,395 --> 00:04:07,715
It should be dropping relatively soon.
77
00:04:07,715 --> 00:04:10,354
I imagine it's gotta be dropping in October
sometime.
78
00:04:10,790 --> 00:04:14,550
Don't mark my words on that, but really looking
forward to it.
79
00:04:14,550 --> 00:04:20,550
And it has my personal stamp of approval
because I really, really like the styles that
80
00:04:20,550 --> 00:04:21,509
they're coming out with.
81
00:04:21,509 --> 00:04:23,589
There were a few items that I'm like, oh, I
gotta have that.
82
00:04:23,589 --> 00:04:24,149
I gotta have that.
83
00:04:24,149 --> 00:04:24,790
I gotta have that.
84
00:04:24,790 --> 00:04:25,430
I gotta have that.
85
00:04:25,574 --> 00:04:31,175
That usually happens at Devereux when I go in
where I'm just like, I start saying that I want
86
00:04:31,175 --> 00:04:34,455
everything and then I realize I'm like, that's
a little greedy.
87
00:04:34,455 --> 00:04:39,574
I need to, you know, not take every single
thing that they have in here.
88
00:04:40,215 --> 00:04:40,694
So yeah.
89
00:04:40,860 --> 00:04:46,620
Anyways, this fall collection's gonna be tough
because very much my style, very much so the
90
00:04:46,620 --> 00:04:48,300
color palette that I love.
91
00:04:49,019 --> 00:04:49,659
And, yeah.
92
00:04:49,659 --> 00:04:56,615
Anyways, PULLHOOKGOLF20 at checkout for 20% off
your entire order over at devereuxgolf.com.
93
00:04:56,615 --> 00:05:01,014
Also want to, give you guys a promo code for
rock form.
94
00:05:01,014 --> 00:05:02,535
R O K F O R M.
95
00:05:02,535 --> 00:05:04,455
I get asked all the time.
96
00:05:04,855 --> 00:05:10,600
Brent showing off his phone case from rock form
That attaches directly to anything metal,
97
00:05:10,600 --> 00:05:12,600
folks, not just MagSafe.
98
00:05:12,600 --> 00:05:18,680
So the case itself has these very powerful
magnets in it that you could attach to anything
99
00:05:18,680 --> 00:05:19,079
metal.
100
00:05:20,134 --> 00:05:25,495
I have their golf holster that attaches to a
golf shaft that they provide you with.
101
00:05:25,895 --> 00:05:26,775
Stick it in the ground.
102
00:05:26,775 --> 00:05:29,975
You can use it while you're out on the golf
course or at the driving range.
103
00:05:30,935 --> 00:05:32,615
It is unreal though.
104
00:05:32,879 --> 00:05:39,040
And I'll tell you the real secret around it is
that I do virtual sessions with Stark Health, a
105
00:05:39,040 --> 00:05:41,040
group based out of California.
106
00:05:41,040 --> 00:05:42,560
If you guys have followed the 5 a.m.
107
00:05:42,560 --> 00:05:48,824
comeback journey at all, that's the group that
is behind all of the fitness and wellness,
108
00:05:48,985 --> 00:05:52,985
nutrition, chiropractor, the so on and so
forth.
109
00:05:52,985 --> 00:05:53,625
Right?
110
00:05:54,584 --> 00:06:00,345
I go into the gym and I've been asked probably
the last 12 times I've gone into the gym.
111
00:06:01,139 --> 00:06:01,860
What is that?
112
00:06:01,860 --> 00:06:02,900
Who makes that?
113
00:06:03,060 --> 00:06:04,580
Because it's so discreet.
114
00:06:04,580 --> 00:06:06,019
You don't have a tripod.
115
00:06:06,019 --> 00:06:11,779
You're not looking obnoxious in the gym heading
down this big huge thing to all of a sudden
116
00:06:11,779 --> 00:06:15,139
film yourself or in my case be on with my
trainer.
117
00:06:16,045 --> 00:06:20,845
Oh, actually this past Monday a guy comes up to
me and goes, what is that?
118
00:06:21,084 --> 00:06:22,045
And I'm like, what do you mean?
119
00:06:22,045 --> 00:06:23,245
What what what's what?
120
00:06:23,245 --> 00:06:26,444
Like I'm in the middle of a workout and nice
enough guy.
121
00:06:26,444 --> 00:06:29,084
He's just like, he's like, take off your
headphones.
122
00:06:29,084 --> 00:06:29,644
I'm like, okay.
123
00:06:29,819 --> 00:06:31,339
So I take off a headphone.
124
00:06:31,339 --> 00:06:32,780
I'm in the middle of a session.
125
00:06:32,939 --> 00:06:34,620
He's like, what is that?
126
00:06:34,779 --> 00:06:38,460
And I'm like, that's a magnet holder for your
phone.
127
00:06:38,620 --> 00:06:39,980
He's like, oh my gosh.
128
00:06:39,980 --> 00:06:41,180
He goes, who makes that?
129
00:06:41,339 --> 00:06:43,580
And I tell him, I'm like rockform.com.
130
00:06:43,975 --> 00:06:49,654
At the time, and I feel really bad about this
now, I should have just plugged the promo code
131
00:06:49,654 --> 00:06:54,055
for him and been like, by the way, but he was,
like, trying to memorize it because I'm, I'm,
132
00:06:54,055 --> 00:06:56,055
like, spelling it for him like R-O-K Yeah.
133
00:06:56,055 --> 00:06:57,230
F-O-R-M.
134
00:06:57,230 --> 00:07:02,350
So a guy that had never been introduced to the
brand at all had no idea because when I go rock
135
00:07:02,350 --> 00:07:05,069
form, he goes rock rock Raj form.
136
00:07:05,310 --> 00:07:06,750
I'm like, no, not Raj form.
137
00:07:06,750 --> 00:07:07,470
Rock form.
138
00:07:07,470 --> 00:07:09,870
R o k f o r m.
139
00:07:10,294 --> 00:07:15,175
And then I'm like, afterwards, I get back out
with my trainer and they're like, why didn't
140
00:07:15,175 --> 00:07:19,095
you because all my trainers know about rock
form because they've all asked me too.
141
00:07:19,095 --> 00:07:20,535
They're like, what do you use?
142
00:07:20,854 --> 00:07:26,550
And I have told them and I believe some of them
have certainly ordered because I've seen our,
143
00:07:27,029 --> 00:07:29,430
our orders coming in, which is awesome.
144
00:07:29,830 --> 00:07:37,590
But anyways, use the promo code PULLHOOK2025
for 20% off over at rokform.com.
145
00:07:37,670 --> 00:07:42,764
Phone cases, everything magnetic that you could
want with tech.
146
00:07:42,764 --> 00:07:44,925
And then the speaker, by the way, right here.
147
00:07:45,324 --> 00:07:46,764
The G-Rok speaker.
148
00:07:46,845 --> 00:07:48,125
I highly recommend this.
149
00:07:48,125 --> 00:07:51,884
Brent, I know you got the fancier, bigger one
that they have.
150
00:07:52,125 --> 00:07:53,564
But for me, this little guy
151
00:07:53,805 --> 00:07:54,125
Square one?
152
00:07:55,149 --> 00:07:59,310
It just is awesome because it attaches to the
golf cart.
153
00:07:59,310 --> 00:08:01,789
Twenty-four-hour battery life.
154
00:08:01,789 --> 00:08:05,550
So that's the big one to me because I'm like, I
don't want to have to charge this thing.
155
00:08:05,629 --> 00:08:10,285
I feel like I've only charged it a couple times
and I use it all the time.
156
00:08:10,444 --> 00:08:16,204
Whether we're at an ASU tailgate, whether we're
out camping, whether we're on the boat, all of
157
00:08:16,204 --> 00:08:19,564
these different things we utilize the G-Rok by
Rokform.
158
00:08:19,564 --> 00:08:25,240
So again, go out there, get yourself a 20% off
from us.
159
00:08:25,480 --> 00:08:29,080
And by the way, it also supports the podcast.
160
00:08:29,240 --> 00:08:32,440
So, you know, knock out two birds with one
stone.
161
00:08:33,935 --> 00:08:37,375
I was trying to buy some time as well through
our promos this week.
162
00:08:37,375 --> 00:08:41,935
A little bit longer, a little bit more
long-winded, to allow Buttsy some time to get
163
00:08:41,935 --> 00:08:47,970
on here, but let's go ahead and get started
here, Brent, because this is happening in my
164
00:08:47,970 --> 00:08:51,009
former backyard of Bethpage Black.
165
00:08:51,250 --> 00:08:57,009
And folks, if you haven't heard the stories,
whatever, I would be losing matches to anybody
166
00:08:58,129 --> 00:08:59,009
That's where I would go.
167
00:08:59,009 --> 00:09:00,050
I'd go to Bethpage Black.
168
00:09:00,475 --> 00:09:02,235
It fits my game nicely.
169
00:09:02,955 --> 00:09:07,434
I tend to hit it further than a lot of people I
play with.
170
00:09:07,434 --> 00:09:09,995
You're one guy that hits it further than I do.
171
00:09:09,995 --> 00:09:14,789
However, we'll say with working out and so
forth, we'd love to get back out there with you
172
00:09:14,789 --> 00:09:18,070
and just kind of see where it lines up because
it's definitely going further.
173
00:09:18,070 --> 00:09:19,029
That's for sure.
174
00:09:19,830 --> 00:09:21,350
We're over three.
175
00:09:22,230 --> 00:09:23,269
That's for sure.
176
00:09:23,509 --> 00:09:25,269
And then we get some roll out of it too.
177
00:09:25,269 --> 00:09:28,230
So I'm dialed in with the PXG driver anyways.
178
00:09:29,315 --> 00:09:36,274
Bethpage Black, I love this golf course because
for me, it's not the green complexes that are
179
00:09:36,274 --> 00:09:37,315
super tricky.
180
00:09:37,475 --> 00:09:39,634
Like the greens are relatively flat.
181
00:09:40,115 --> 00:09:40,674
Right?
182
00:09:40,674 --> 00:09:49,809
So I feel like it's not that bad when like,
it's just it's not a bad golf course to putt
183
00:09:49,809 --> 00:09:50,290
on.
184
00:09:50,450 --> 00:09:51,330
You know what I mean?
185
00:09:51,330 --> 00:09:56,865
Like, you're not any short game wise where I
always struggled with chipping and pitching
186
00:09:56,865 --> 00:10:01,264
around the greens and so forth, especially as I
wasn't playing all the time.
187
00:10:01,904 --> 00:10:06,305
And I'll say this, like, it's relatively easy
to get around there.
188
00:10:06,545 --> 00:10:13,230
So outside of when they grow the grass really
long, this week, the grass is trimmed.
189
00:10:13,870 --> 00:10:16,590
Like, I heard that the rough is not very high.
190
00:10:17,230 --> 00:10:21,230
The setup is going to be set up for a lot of
birdies out there.
191
00:10:22,509 --> 00:10:30,115
So if we're taking away the challenge behind
it, who does this favor in this matchup?
192
00:10:30,115 --> 00:10:32,034
Because it certainly doesn't seem like the U.S.
193
00:10:32,034 --> 00:10:32,674
team.
194
00:10:33,794 --> 00:10:34,195
Yeah.
195
00:10:34,195 --> 00:10:34,914
Exactly.
196
00:10:34,914 --> 00:10:41,570
I think it's obvious they definitely are able
to tailor the course how they want to.
197
00:10:41,570 --> 00:10:48,529
I mean, heard that throughout the year, before
each Ryder Cup, captains and players are going
198
00:10:48,529 --> 00:10:53,735
out there and saying, trim this and do this,
and they kinda can do what they want and dial
199
00:10:53,735 --> 00:10:54,134
it in.
200
00:10:54,134 --> 00:10:57,894
Obviously, on weather, it could change
drastically.
201
00:10:58,455 --> 00:11:05,970
But with the camaraderie, with the fact that
there's some extra little fire going on, I
202
00:11:05,970 --> 00:11:08,370
don't think the U.S.
203
00:11:08,370 --> 00:11:13,089
team is going to be favored necessarily.
204
00:11:14,209 --> 00:11:19,649
They're gonna be favored because they're
"better" players as far as the rankings are
205
00:11:19,649 --> 00:11:23,274
concerned, but they're not gonna be favored by
an easier setup.
206
00:11:23,274 --> 00:11:31,835
And I think it's a complete mistake to let any
of the European players be even remotely
207
00:11:31,835 --> 00:11:32,634
comfortable.
208
00:11:35,059 --> 00:11:37,139
I think they should have set it up like a U.S.
209
00:11:37,139 --> 00:11:39,379
Open because it's the U.S.
210
00:11:39,379 --> 00:11:41,299
Open, not the British Open.
211
00:11:41,299 --> 00:11:48,245
So, they might have made a fatal mistake by
letting it be a little bit too easy, but who
212
00:11:48,245 --> 00:11:48,485
knows?
213
00:11:48,485 --> 00:11:50,084
I mean, the fairways still look pretty tight.
214
00:11:50,084 --> 00:11:52,404
So I can imagine it's gonna be easy to stop the
ball.
215
00:11:52,644 --> 00:11:58,964
It's just that secondary or the, I guess you
could say, the first cut of rough is super low.
216
00:11:59,284 --> 00:12:03,070
So, I mean, that's still gonna play
challenging, but I'm with you.
217
00:12:03,070 --> 00:12:08,190
I felt like maybe a missed opportunity here
where, yeah, they could have set it up like a
218
00:12:08,190 --> 00:12:08,429
U.S.
219
00:12:08,429 --> 00:12:08,990
Open.
220
00:12:08,990 --> 00:12:15,894
And by the way, this time of year in New York,
it is really, really good when it comes to
221
00:12:15,894 --> 00:12:18,934
being able to grow thick, heavy grass out
there.
222
00:12:19,014 --> 00:12:23,735
So, I was actually just about to bring on
Buttsy except he just jumped off.
223
00:12:23,735 --> 00:12:26,695
So not quite sure what happened there.
224
00:12:26,695 --> 00:12:32,440
I was gonna bring him on as I was letting you
finish out your part of the segment there
225
00:12:32,440 --> 00:12:41,495
because we do have some media as well that I
did want everybody to take a look at because
226
00:12:41,495 --> 00:12:43,254
it's part of this whole entire thing.
227
00:12:43,254 --> 00:12:45,414
But let's talk about the stadium setup.
228
00:12:46,455 --> 00:12:49,894
This was the one that kind of blew me away
because I've played there.
229
00:12:49,894 --> 00:12:56,419
Like, they've kinda I wouldn't say rerouted the
first tee, but it's a little bit different.
230
00:12:56,740 --> 00:13:03,299
And they're making it to where it's drivable
because, obviously, they want players,
231
00:13:03,299 --> 00:13:04,339
especially U.S.
232
00:13:04,339 --> 00:13:05,940
players, to take advantage of it.
233
00:13:06,914 --> 00:13:10,915
I'm very curious to see what ends up happening
there.
234
00:13:11,794 --> 00:13:15,315
But the stadium setup is massive.
235
00:13:15,955 --> 00:13:19,794
Have you seen the aerial view of this whole
thing?
236
00:13:19,794 --> 00:13:20,674
I haven't seen aerial.
237
00:13:20,674 --> 00:13:25,850
I've seen, obviously, guys standing in the
middle, and then I've seen kind of from each
238
00:13:25,850 --> 00:13:26,329
side.
239
00:13:26,329 --> 00:13:31,289
But I can assume it's probably like a small
football field.
240
00:13:32,329 --> 00:13:34,089
It is—it's like a stadium.
241
00:13:34,904 --> 00:13:36,105
Like, like a
242
00:13:35,945 --> 00:13:39,945
kinda reminds me a little bit of Waste
Management Phoenix Open.
243
00:13:39,945 --> 00:13:40,584
Oh, that's gonna be fun.
244
00:13:40,584 --> 00:13:44,024
Like, it is massive.
245
00:13:44,024 --> 00:13:49,679
That first tee stadium setup, which I think
goes to, like, you know, when we've talked
246
00:13:49,679 --> 00:13:56,159
about with the fact that, like, the Ryder Cup
might not be the best fan experience because
247
00:13:56,159 --> 00:13:58,320
your views and everything are not great.
248
00:13:58,879 --> 00:14:01,039
I would just post up on that first tee box.
249
00:14:01,039 --> 00:14:01,519
100%.
250
00:14:01,519 --> 00:14:03,587
If I was going to the U.S.
251
00:14:03,587 --> 00:14:12,054
Open or to the Ryder Cup, I would 100% find a
seat there because you got the first tee and
252
00:14:12,054 --> 00:14:14,934
then you kinda have the view of the 18th coming
up as
253
00:14:14,934 --> 00:14:15,415
well, which
254
00:14:15,975 --> 00:14:16,695
is pretty sweet.
255
00:14:17,169 --> 00:14:18,610
So I don't know, man.
256
00:14:18,610 --> 00:14:27,970
This is like when I saw that, I'm like, wow,
this is gonna be a crazy first tee box setup
257
00:14:28,049 --> 00:14:29,889
and 18th hole setup.
258
00:14:29,889 --> 00:14:35,785
Hopefully, there's some matches that get to the
18th hole, and you can actually have that
259
00:14:35,785 --> 00:14:39,945
experience coming down to the wire, coming down
to the end.
260
00:14:39,945 --> 00:14:42,825
So that'll be a very curious situation.
261
00:14:42,985 --> 00:14:43,785
Can I ask you a
262
00:14:43,785 --> 00:14:44,024
question?
263
00:14:45,070 --> 00:14:45,789
Yeah.
264
00:14:46,429 --> 00:14:56,509
In your experience at Bethpage Black, is there
a time of year where it can get super spicy?
265
00:14:56,589 --> 00:14:57,710
I mean, of course, there is.
266
00:14:57,710 --> 00:14:59,870
But is it this time of year?
267
00:15:01,144 --> 00:15:06,184
I always felt like heading into the fall, like,
love playing there in October.
268
00:15:06,504 --> 00:15:11,625
Like, I just felt like the course was in
pristine condition at that time of year.
269
00:15:11,625 --> 00:15:15,550
And you start getting the foliage too, like,
don't wanna just talk about the beauty of it,
270
00:15:15,550 --> 00:15:18,750
but the greens start getting firmer because it
starts getting colder at night.
271
00:15:19,309 --> 00:15:25,790
So that's where I don't—I don't know enough
about what the weather's been like lately in
272
00:15:25,790 --> 00:15:27,544
New York to No.
273
00:15:27,544 --> 00:15:28,024
Just the weather
274
00:15:28,024 --> 00:15:28,825
or not.
275
00:15:29,225 --> 00:15:31,785
Know it's kinda been a little bit on the
warmer—what's city?
276
00:15:33,144 --> 00:15:36,264
It's in—it's Farmingdale?
277
00:15:36,264 --> 00:15:36,504
No.
278
00:15:36,504 --> 00:15:37,465
It's in Bethpage.
279
00:15:37,465 --> 00:15:40,120
Bethpage, New York.
280
00:15:40,120 --> 00:15:40,600
Farmingdale.
281
00:15:40,600 --> 00:15:40,920
That's pretty
282
00:15:40,920 --> 00:15:41,080
cool.
283
00:15:42,440 --> 00:15:49,879
Well, it's gonna rain Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday and maybe Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
284
00:15:51,174 --> 00:15:58,214
But it does not get warm, so it's definitely
gonna rain Thursday for sure, and it's probably
285
00:15:58,214 --> 00:16:03,095
gonna be a thunderstorm tomorrow and then maybe
some rain throughout the weekend.
286
00:16:03,095 --> 00:16:03,815
So we will see.
287
00:16:04,450 --> 00:16:05,250
We will see.
288
00:16:05,250 --> 00:16:07,889
Maybe, maybe the heavens will open, maybe they
won't.
289
00:16:07,889 --> 00:16:16,769
But I just I just I see this I see this issue
because you know they're not playing the golf
290
00:16:16,769 --> 00:16:17,570
course all the way back.
291
00:16:18,664 --> 00:16:21,144
So they're they're they're playing it shorter.
292
00:16:21,384 --> 00:16:27,464
They're playing it for birdies, and I'm sorry,
but it just does not it does not bode well.
293
00:16:27,464 --> 00:16:34,000
You have to set up long, tight, penalizing off
the tee, hard around the greens, yada yada
294
00:16:34,000 --> 00:16:34,480
yada.
295
00:16:34,480 --> 00:16:40,320
Make it American golf, because that's the only
way that you have an advantage.
296
00:16:41,600 --> 00:16:42,720
I'm with you.
297
00:16:42,720 --> 00:16:43,839
I really am.
298
00:16:43,839 --> 00:16:49,205
I think they could have done so much more with
the golf course.
299
00:16:49,445 --> 00:16:56,085
But again, I'm going off of other people's
perspectives that are there right now that are
300
00:16:56,085 --> 00:16:57,365
analyzing it.
301
00:16:57,365 --> 00:17:03,570
The other one that I do wanna give a quick
little because we've been very difficult on
302
00:17:03,570 --> 00:17:05,809
golf broadcast throughout the years.
303
00:17:06,210 --> 00:17:13,490
And like I've criticized with feedback and so
forth as to, hey, this could be so much better.
304
00:17:14,044 --> 00:17:19,884
The one group that actually does it really,
really well for like pregame stuff or pre show
305
00:17:19,884 --> 00:17:31,710
stuff other than us of course, but the entire
Golf Channel crew that does that show It's on
306
00:17:31,710 --> 00:17:34,990
like Johnson Wagner's phenomenal.
307
00:17:35,630 --> 00:17:38,430
You know, Brandel's always talking shit.
308
00:17:38,830 --> 00:17:48,144
So and he's just so jaded on so much that I
don't I just don't we're gonna get to him in a
309
00:17:48,144 --> 00:17:48,465
second.
310
00:17:48,465 --> 00:17:55,825
This this is a little bit of a segue of getting
into that whole discussion around But, you
311
00:17:55,825 --> 00:17:58,250
know, then you've got oh gosh.
312
00:17:58,250 --> 00:17:59,849
What's the Irish guy's name?
313
00:17:59,849 --> 00:18:02,250
Paul McGinley.
314
00:18:02,250 --> 00:18:04,970
And then you've got the Rich Lerner.
315
00:18:04,970 --> 00:18:05,450
Lerner.
316
00:18:05,450 --> 00:18:08,009
Those guys are great.
317
00:18:08,009 --> 00:18:10,489
And I feel like I've been watching that.
318
00:18:10,569 --> 00:18:13,735
Like, watching, what is it?
319
00:18:13,735 --> 00:18:15,174
Masters on the Range.
320
00:18:15,174 --> 00:18:17,975
They do that one during the Masters live.
321
00:18:17,975 --> 00:18:19,654
So live from the Ryder Cup.
322
00:18:19,654 --> 00:18:20,055
Right?
323
00:18:20,055 --> 00:18:21,975
That's what it I was blanking on the name of
it.
324
00:18:21,975 --> 00:18:22,695
Didn't write it down.
325
00:18:23,609 --> 00:18:28,730
But they're doing such a phenomenal job and
they've got all the shots and everything.
326
00:18:28,730 --> 00:18:34,809
So I feel like if there is one that should get
a shout-out, it's that particular show.
327
00:18:34,809 --> 00:18:35,289
Totally agree.
328
00:18:35,875 --> 00:18:36,515
100%.
329
00:18:36,515 --> 00:18:38,275
And I enjoy watching it.
330
00:18:38,275 --> 00:18:44,514
So that's one to where I'm getting some
information from because I've been watching it
331
00:18:44,674 --> 00:18:48,514
every day leading up to this on Monday and then
today.
332
00:18:48,994 --> 00:18:55,579
And I will say, just the way that they have
structured this golf course, I just feel like
333
00:18:55,980 --> 00:18:57,899
we might be missing something.
334
00:18:58,299 --> 00:18:58,619
Yeah.
335
00:18:58,619 --> 00:18:58,940
No.
336
00:18:58,940 --> 00:19:01,500
I think it's always that feeling.
337
00:19:02,555 --> 00:19:11,274
It already exists now because the US team just
always has some sort of egotistical, prideful
338
00:19:12,555 --> 00:19:14,154
air about them.
339
00:19:14,970 --> 00:19:25,369
And, you know, the kind of homegrown,
grassroots movement kind of group, it has never
340
00:19:25,369 --> 00:19:26,730
existed on the American side.
341
00:19:26,730 --> 00:19:32,794
I mean, not since the '90s can you say that it
was a group of guys that were just grinders,
342
00:19:32,794 --> 00:19:34,234
veterans, yada yada yada.
343
00:19:34,234 --> 00:19:34,634
Like, no.
344
00:19:35,274 --> 00:19:39,914
That has been the European team for 25 years.
345
00:19:40,234 --> 00:19:40,474
Yeah.
346
00:19:40,474 --> 00:19:43,034
But you gotta remember, we used to dominate
347
00:19:43,194 --> 00:19:43,434
Oh, yeah.
348
00:19:43,570 --> 00:19:44,289
The Ryder Cup.
349
00:19:44,289 --> 00:19:44,930
Well, that's what I'm saying.
350
00:19:44,930 --> 00:19:46,769
Have so many more wins
351
00:19:47,009 --> 00:19:47,330
Yeah.
352
00:19:47,410 --> 00:19:49,250
Than the European side.
353
00:19:49,650 --> 00:19:54,690
But then all of a sudden, it became to where
Europe, like, united.
354
00:19:55,744 --> 00:20:01,345
Kind of weird to say, but they all came
together and they became a team and they built
355
00:20:01,345 --> 00:20:02,224
a culture.
356
00:20:02,785 --> 00:20:05,585
And that's one of the things that I do want to
show right now.
357
00:20:06,225 --> 00:20:12,670
Hopefully this comes through for everybody, but
this is the European, and this will actually I
358
00:20:12,670 --> 00:20:14,029
think this is, like, two minutes long.
359
00:20:14,029 --> 00:20:15,230
We may cut it short.
360
00:20:15,309 --> 00:20:25,595
But this one is a clip done by Luke Donald,
which I want to rave about Luke Donald and how
361
00:20:25,595 --> 00:20:31,355
good of a captain this guy is because he gets
it and he gets the details.
362
00:20:31,595 --> 00:20:36,075
And you're gonna see in this video the details,
and I'm gonna talk about some of the reasons
363
00:20:36,075 --> 00:20:37,275
why I think we're in trouble.
364
00:20:37,720 --> 00:20:38,759
I think the U.S.
365
00:20:38,759 --> 00:20:41,960
is in trouble, and some of it has to do with
things like this.
366
00:20:41,960 --> 00:20:42,920
Let's take a look.
367
00:20:43,400 --> 00:20:45,559
Welcome to our team facility.
368
00:20:45,640 --> 00:20:47,799
This has been custom made just for us.
369
00:20:47,799 --> 00:20:49,559
Come with me, and I'll show you around.
370
00:20:51,974 --> 00:20:55,815
It starts here with our four away wins.
371
00:20:55,815 --> 00:20:57,974
This is our inspiration this week.
372
00:20:57,974 --> 00:21:01,815
'87, '95, '04, 2012.
373
00:21:03,255 --> 00:21:04,214
Like, they put that on
374
00:21:04,214 --> 00:21:04,694
the wall?
375
00:21:04,694 --> 00:21:05,414
This is our gym.
376
00:21:05,414 --> 00:21:06,054
Like, that's so small.
377
00:21:06,054 --> 00:21:07,095
Recovery area.
378
00:21:07,690 --> 00:21:10,250
Never had one as big as this.
379
00:21:10,730 --> 00:21:11,609
Look at the size.
380
00:21:11,609 --> 00:21:12,970
I mean, the size of it's insane.
381
00:21:12,970 --> 00:21:14,890
It's a really, really important room.
382
00:21:14,970 --> 00:21:20,090
All the workouts they wanna do, all the
recovery, ice baths, we even have a sauna down
383
00:21:20,090 --> 00:21:20,490
there.
384
00:21:20,490 --> 00:21:23,434
Some guys might be playing five times this week
three days.
385
00:21:23,434 --> 00:21:24,075
That's a lot.
386
00:21:24,075 --> 00:21:27,034
So they need to be rested, recovered, and ready
to go.
387
00:21:28,555 --> 00:21:33,194
Our locker room, everything here is laid out.
388
00:21:33,835 --> 00:21:36,394
Little inspirations, Excelsior.
389
00:21:36,394 --> 00:21:38,460
It means ever upward.
390
00:21:38,460 --> 00:21:40,140
It's the New York state motto.
391
00:21:40,140 --> 00:21:42,059
Dude, I gotta pause it for a second.
392
00:21:42,220 --> 00:21:47,659
They took the New York motto and added it to
their stuff.
393
00:21:48,380 --> 00:21:51,914
Like, how smart is that?
394
00:21:51,914 --> 00:21:52,394
Get it.
395
00:21:52,394 --> 00:21:59,195
And then putting four dates on the wall as
they're walking through the hallway to where it
396
00:21:59,195 --> 00:22:01,755
is the four away Ryder Cup wins.
397
00:22:02,000 --> 00:22:07,440
Not just all the Ryder Cup wins that the
Europeans have had, but the four away ones to
398
00:22:07,440 --> 00:22:08,559
remind them.
399
00:22:09,279 --> 00:22:13,440
Just this stuff just is wild to me.
400
00:22:13,440 --> 00:22:18,545
Also, every locker is player caddie, player
caddie.
401
00:22:18,545 --> 00:22:19,664
We are one unit.
402
00:22:19,664 --> 00:22:20,545
We are together.
403
00:22:20,545 --> 00:22:24,625
And while they're getting their stuff ready,
getting ready to go on the golf course, they
404
00:22:24,625 --> 00:22:26,304
can look at their wall of history.
405
00:22:26,625 --> 00:22:30,305
This is again an ode to all those times that we
have won away.
406
00:22:33,200 --> 00:22:37,119
Down here we have some quiet rooms.
407
00:22:37,440 --> 00:22:37,919
A couple of
408
00:22:38,000 --> 00:22:39,279
They got bedrooms in there.
409
00:22:39,279 --> 00:22:39,679
Bedrooms.
410
00:22:39,679 --> 00:22:40,159
This
411
00:22:41,119 --> 00:22:42,159
is a busy week.
412
00:22:42,159 --> 00:22:43,519
There's a lot going on.
413
00:22:44,799 --> 00:22:45,440
Four beds.
414
00:22:47,404 --> 00:22:50,765
This is our team dining area and our lounge
area.
415
00:22:50,765 --> 00:22:52,365
It's family oriented.
416
00:22:52,365 --> 00:22:57,644
We thought about all the little details to make
these guys be able to perform at their highest.
417
00:22:58,730 --> 00:23:03,210
But now let's go to my very favorite room, the
dressing room.
418
00:23:08,809 --> 00:23:10,650
This is our inspiration again.
419
00:23:12,164 --> 00:23:16,964
Our four shirts from our four away wins.
420
00:23:17,684 --> 00:23:20,884
This is a really important room for us.
421
00:23:20,884 --> 00:23:26,240
We will gather here, swap ideas, and be very
focused about what we want to achieve this
422
00:23:26,240 --> 00:23:26,799
week.
423
00:23:27,200 --> 00:23:31,039
And each player above their locker says, our
time, our place.
424
00:23:31,440 --> 00:23:32,720
That is our motivation.
425
00:23:32,720 --> 00:23:33,919
That is our theme.
426
00:23:34,240 --> 00:23:38,240
And the last inspiration that they will see
before they head out to the range, out to the
427
00:23:38,240 --> 00:23:39,994
golf course is this.
428
00:23:39,994 --> 00:23:41,354
This is your time.
429
00:23:41,514 --> 00:23:42,714
This is your place.
430
00:23:42,714 --> 00:23:47,034
It's their time to make history in New York,
and we'll be ready.
431
00:23:53,700 --> 00:23:54,900
I tell you what.
432
00:23:54,900 --> 00:23:58,339
This is one of the things where you sit there
and you look at, yeah, you know the music and
433
00:23:58,339 --> 00:24:01,220
that's cool and, you know, it was pretty well
scripted and whatnot.
434
00:24:01,220 --> 00:24:04,500
But this is what people need to understand why
the U.S.
435
00:24:04,500 --> 00:24:11,374
team continues to just not get it, is that this
is a team event.
436
00:24:11,694 --> 00:24:16,575
The better you play does not make, like, that's
great.
437
00:24:16,575 --> 00:24:21,134
You can play all you want by yourself and be
the best player that's ever lived.
438
00:24:21,769 --> 00:24:26,409
But if you do not play well as a team, you will
not win.
439
00:24:26,569 --> 00:24:28,730
And that is universally true.
440
00:24:28,730 --> 00:24:30,089
It's so beautiful.
441
00:24:30,089 --> 00:24:33,129
But I would love to see if there if it exists.
442
00:24:33,450 --> 00:24:36,304
I don't know if Keegan's the type of guy do
that.
443
00:24:36,785 --> 00:24:40,065
I love Keegan to death, but he is definitely
socially awkward.
444
00:24:40,384 --> 00:24:44,545
I know he's fiery, so maybe it'll get a little
bit jumpy during, you know, when it comes game
445
00:24:44,545 --> 00:24:47,184
time, since he's not playing.
446
00:24:47,424 --> 00:24:55,359
But that entire European team would go and put
their hearts on the line for that guy.
447
00:24:55,599 --> 00:25:01,039
And I don't believe there's a single person on
the U.S.
448
00:25:01,039 --> 00:25:03,519
team that could say that they would do that for
Keegan.
449
00:25:04,904 --> 00:25:07,864
The details are what get me on that whole
thing.
450
00:25:08,744 --> 00:25:20,070
And I'm like, I just could not wrap my head
around the fact that every little detail was
451
00:25:20,070 --> 00:25:26,789
covered and the motivation, the little details
of motivation, those matter.
452
00:25:26,869 --> 00:25:33,785
Like, those are the things that are the 1%
differences that make that change and they're
453
00:25:33,785 --> 00:25:35,384
in a hostile environment.
454
00:25:36,184 --> 00:25:44,505
But to make it that detailed, that
motivational, that comfortable because that
455
00:25:44,505 --> 00:25:47,065
looks like a place that I would wanna hang out
like during the week.
456
00:25:47,359 --> 00:25:51,759
Austin Whittington says a lot of thought was
put into that European team headquarters.
457
00:25:51,759 --> 00:25:52,640
It really was.
458
00:25:53,119 --> 00:25:56,799
And so, yes, Keegan Bradley, fiery, like you
said.
459
00:25:57,039 --> 00:25:57,920
Very motivational.
460
00:25:57,920 --> 00:26:03,154
Like, I heard something, they had his voice
over on something on a clip.
461
00:26:03,234 --> 00:26:07,474
I did not grab that one because it was just, it
was a motivational clip.
462
00:26:07,474 --> 00:26:10,274
Like that's where Keegan Bradley is gonna come
into play.
463
00:26:10,355 --> 00:26:13,794
The fan base is going to come and play as well
for the U.S.
464
00:26:13,794 --> 00:26:14,115
team.
465
00:26:14,590 --> 00:26:17,630
The New Yorkers need to be huge this week.
466
00:26:18,110 --> 00:26:22,670
I know why they did the pricing of the tickets
the way that they did.
467
00:26:23,309 --> 00:26:29,470
And there is a fear that you're gonna get a
bunch of hecklers out there that are out of
468
00:26:29,470 --> 00:26:29,869
control.
469
00:26:30,615 --> 00:26:36,375
And they've been asked about it and they have
thought about it like it's at the top of the
470
00:26:36,375 --> 00:26:42,134
mind for the PGA to make sure that security is
in place, like they've got everything so it
471
00:26:42,134 --> 00:26:43,335
doesn't get out of hand.
472
00:26:44,109 --> 00:26:49,309
New Yorkers have a tendency that things can get
a little bit out of hand, but they are great
473
00:26:49,549 --> 00:26:51,469
fans at the end of the day.
474
00:26:51,470 --> 00:26:54,190
Like, they know the line not to cross.
475
00:26:54,190 --> 00:26:58,829
I don't think the pricing should've dictated
that in my opinion.
476
00:26:59,975 --> 00:27:05,654
But at the same time, it's like, we need the
New York crowd because that's the difference
477
00:27:05,654 --> 00:27:06,375
maker.
478
00:27:06,375 --> 00:27:09,974
That's the one that the Europeans will not have
out there.
479
00:27:09,975 --> 00:27:12,695
Like, New York, we gotta show up.
480
00:27:12,695 --> 00:27:13,735
That's in a big way.
481
00:27:14,080 --> 00:27:15,359
So that's the thing, right?
482
00:27:15,359 --> 00:27:22,960
It's like the assumptions that that the US team
are making, it just that's not a world that
483
00:27:22,960 --> 00:27:24,880
that's not a world that I'm familiar with.
484
00:27:24,880 --> 00:27:28,640
The assumptions are the things that that kill
you in the end because you get them wrong.
485
00:27:28,964 --> 00:27:29,444
Yeah.
486
00:27:29,444 --> 00:27:29,924
What does he say?
487
00:27:29,924 --> 00:27:33,764
Kyle over at Card Barn Guy says, that's what
five Billys meant.
488
00:27:33,765 --> 00:27:35,525
He's got $500 on Euro.
489
00:27:35,525 --> 00:27:36,164
There you go.
490
00:27:36,164 --> 00:27:37,684
And I don't blame him.
491
00:27:37,684 --> 00:27:45,509
I mean, everything that I have seen and just
like, the gut instinct really has been around
492
00:27:45,509 --> 00:27:51,509
the Europeans being this team that is going to
take it this year and go into Bethpage, the
493
00:27:51,509 --> 00:27:54,230
hostile territory, and beat the U.S.
494
00:27:54,230 --> 00:27:54,549
Team.
495
00:27:54,549 --> 00:27:55,589
Let's bring on Buttsy.
496
00:27:55,589 --> 00:27:56,710
He finally has made it.
497
00:27:56,835 --> 00:28:00,114
Before when he was trying to jump in, he said
he was still in the car.
498
00:28:00,355 --> 00:28:02,115
So he was trying to jump in from the car.
499
00:28:02,115 --> 00:28:03,474
Let's see where he's at now.
500
00:28:04,115 --> 00:28:04,515
Oh.
501
00:28:04,515 --> 00:28:09,954
Mister Buttsy, he has joined the podcast.
502
00:28:09,954 --> 00:28:10,914
Here we oh, no.
503
00:28:11,075 --> 00:28:11,954
He's having issues.
504
00:28:13,109 --> 00:28:14,630
Gonna get him one of those rock four.
505
00:28:14,549 --> 00:28:21,509
He's got the Sugarloaf hat on.
506
00:28:21,829 --> 00:28:22,230
Wow.
507
00:28:22,230 --> 00:28:23,430
Looking sharp, buddy.
508
00:28:23,430 --> 00:28:24,470
Looking sharp.
509
00:28:24,630 --> 00:28:25,190
Hey, guys.
510
00:28:25,190 --> 00:28:26,710
Sorry I'm late.
511
00:28:28,205 --> 00:28:29,005
Oh, good.
512
00:28:29,005 --> 00:28:32,684
We've been getting into all of this Ryder Cup
stuff.
513
00:28:32,684 --> 00:28:41,880
We just watched a video that Luke Donald took
the European Ryder Cup video staff through
514
00:28:41,880 --> 00:28:45,079
their headquarters that they've built at
Bethpage Black.
515
00:28:45,400 --> 00:28:46,440
And it is phenomenal.
516
00:28:46,440 --> 00:28:49,000
There was not a detail that was missed.
517
00:28:49,000 --> 00:28:55,000
He even put Excelsior, which is the New York
state motto, on their golf bags and on their
518
00:28:55,845 --> 00:29:02,884
different pieces to wear motivation in the
hallways of the headquarters, but see, he put
519
00:29:02,884 --> 00:29:08,724
the four years that they won Ryder Cups away
from home.
520
00:29:09,690 --> 00:29:15,049
I'm like, dude, this guy did not miss a single
detail of motivation for his team.
521
00:29:15,769 --> 00:29:18,569
Luke Donald and team Europe.
522
00:29:20,169 --> 00:29:22,730
You look like you are U.S.
523
00:29:22,730 --> 00:29:23,210
ready.
524
00:29:23,714 --> 00:29:26,515
We had to help him win the war, alright?
525
00:29:26,515 --> 00:29:31,474
And now, we're gonna beat the pants off him
just like we did when we dumped a bunch of tea
526
00:29:31,474 --> 00:29:32,434
off the boat.
527
00:29:33,474 --> 00:29:35,234
The good old Boston Tea Party.
528
00:29:35,234 --> 00:29:36,755
Is that a reference to that?
529
00:29:37,330 --> 00:29:38,130
Could be.
530
00:29:38,130 --> 00:29:38,849
Okay.
531
00:29:39,170 --> 00:29:42,529
Pretty solid history buff, Mister Buttsy.
532
00:29:42,609 --> 00:29:42,769
Absolutely.
533
00:29:42,769 --> 00:29:49,009
Let's talk a little bit about—we talked about
the stadium setup.
534
00:29:49,009 --> 00:29:50,609
We talked about the New York fans.
535
00:29:50,914 --> 00:29:54,594
New York fans are probably gonna be the big
difference maker this week.
536
00:29:55,794 --> 00:30:02,434
They were very afraid, the PGA, in regards to
getting too rowdy of fans out there, which New
537
00:30:02,434 --> 00:30:04,274
Yorkers tend to be at times.
538
00:30:04,274 --> 00:30:07,680
But I feel like there's a line that New Yorkers
don't necessarily cross.
539
00:30:07,680 --> 00:30:10,960
Like, they're pretty smart sports fans at the
end of the day.
540
00:30:10,960 --> 00:30:13,200
But there was some fear with that.
541
00:30:13,200 --> 00:30:18,559
And I wonder, do you believe that the ticket
prices being so high were, like, one of the
542
00:30:18,559 --> 00:30:23,374
reasons was to not allow it to become too
rowdy?
543
00:30:24,255 --> 00:30:29,294
You're thinking it would just bring a different
demographic, like people that have money are
544
00:30:29,294 --> 00:30:32,575
more calm, so to speak, or know how to act more
proper, maybe?
545
00:30:34,859 --> 00:30:35,660
I don't know.
546
00:30:35,660 --> 00:30:37,660
Maybe if it wasn't the U.S.
547
00:30:37,660 --> 00:30:46,220
versus Team Europe, I think that may be the
deal breaker, the offsetter, where everybody in
548
00:30:46,220 --> 00:30:50,205
the crowd could be multimillionaires, and
they're still gonna be very loud and make sure
549
00:30:50,205 --> 00:30:51,644
they get in everybody's head.
550
00:30:52,445 --> 00:30:53,404
I like that.
551
00:30:53,404 --> 00:30:53,991
I like it.
552
00:30:53,991 --> 00:30:54,204
Yeah.
553
00:30:54,765 --> 00:30:55,964
What would you do?
554
00:30:56,684 --> 00:30:59,404
Listen, I would just allow them to come on in.
555
00:30:59,404 --> 00:31:02,045
Let's make it as rowdy as we possibly can.
556
00:31:02,045 --> 00:31:07,400
Obviously, there's lines that you don't want to
be crossed, but you do wanna get under the
557
00:31:07,400 --> 00:31:08,679
Europeans' skin.
558
00:31:08,679 --> 00:31:09,000
Yeah.
559
00:31:09,000 --> 00:31:12,119
And I think that would be great for Team USA.
560
00:31:12,119 --> 00:31:20,005
And again, that sixth man, so to speak, the fan
base in New York for Team USA, it's gonna be
561
00:31:20,005 --> 00:31:20,484
rowdy.
562
00:31:20,484 --> 00:31:21,525
It's gonna be great.
563
00:31:21,525 --> 00:31:29,365
And let me show you a little clip here that I
came across that the rowdiness is starting.
564
00:31:29,684 --> 00:31:32,804
Well, let's just put it that way as we take a
look at this one.
565
00:31:48,044 --> 00:31:54,764
There was no rowdiness like there outside of
the USA chant, and I mean, it's just good old
566
00:31:54,764 --> 00:31:57,484
fun there in New York in Bethpage.
567
00:31:57,484 --> 00:31:57,804
So
568
00:31:59,164 --> 00:31:59,565
don't know.
569
00:31:59,644 --> 00:32:03,609
Razzed for blading a wedge, and that's the type
of shit that should happen for sure.
570
00:32:03,609 --> 00:32:05,663
You should definitely get razzed for that.
571
00:32:05,663 --> 00:32:05,849
Yeah.
572
00:32:05,849 --> 00:32:13,049
I mean, there's every away event you go to,
you're gonna get you're gonna get crapped for
573
00:32:13,049 --> 00:32:13,369
hitting.
574
00:32:14,154 --> 00:32:16,315
I mean, shoot, even if you in every sport.
575
00:32:16,315 --> 00:32:16,448
Yeah.
576
00:32:16,448 --> 00:32:17,595
I mean, it's no different.
577
00:32:17,595 --> 00:32:18,714
An air ball in basketball.
578
00:32:18,714 --> 00:32:19,115
I
579
00:32:19,408 --> 00:32:19,755
A
580
00:32:19,755 --> 00:32:24,634
skull and I I think what's going to be
interesting about the dynamic, and I'll make
581
00:32:24,634 --> 00:32:28,394
this call now, I think there's going to be
something said about the PGA of America
582
00:32:28,394 --> 00:32:32,529
post-Ryder Cup, but we could talk about that
next week.
583
00:32:32,529 --> 00:32:37,410
But, I think it's just I think honestly, the
ticket price was something that they settled on
584
00:32:37,410 --> 00:32:41,089
because they just legitimately didn't want
everybody to come in.
585
00:32:41,650 --> 00:32:45,089
Because if everybody does come in, it's less
people it's more people that they'd have to
586
00:32:45,089 --> 00:32:48,875
control, and they just don't wanna have to deal
with that, especially with all the safety
587
00:32:48,875 --> 00:32:53,355
concerns over the last couple of years and then
everything that's happening politically as
588
00:32:53,355 --> 00:32:53,755
well.
589
00:32:54,235 --> 00:33:00,369
I mean, there's probably gonna be more cops at
Bethpage than there are in the entire freaking
590
00:33:00,369 --> 00:33:00,850
city.
591
00:33:00,850 --> 00:33:03,890
So, it's gonna be pretty crazy.
592
00:33:05,170 --> 00:33:06,369
I'm looking forward to it.
593
00:33:06,369 --> 00:33:08,769
I've been asked a lot, are you going back for
it?
594
00:33:08,769 --> 00:33:10,049
I'm like, absolutely not.
595
00:33:10,450 --> 00:33:10,769
No.
596
00:33:11,194 --> 00:33:11,914
No chance.
597
00:33:11,914 --> 00:33:14,954
I'm gonna watch this on TV, and I'm gonna love
watching it on TV.
598
00:33:14,954 --> 00:33:18,234
Well, I know our boys over at Devro are headed
out there in the morning.
599
00:33:18,234 --> 00:33:19,034
Oh yeah.
600
00:33:19,275 --> 00:33:20,315
That they are.
601
00:33:20,474 --> 00:33:21,674
Luck walks.
602
00:33:22,795 --> 00:33:23,994
They're not gonna have a bad time.
603
00:33:24,359 --> 00:33:25,079
No.
604
00:33:25,079 --> 00:33:25,880
They'll be fine.
605
00:33:25,880 --> 00:33:27,000
They'll be up in the stands.
606
00:33:27,000 --> 00:33:28,893
They're gonna have a great time out there.
607
00:33:29,799 --> 00:33:31,160
like I would love to be there.
608
00:33:31,640 --> 00:33:33,720
It would be something I would enjoy.
609
00:33:34,519 --> 00:33:41,375
One of the big things that I saw from we were
talking about the Golf Channel's live from the
610
00:33:41,375 --> 00:33:45,534
Ryder Cup and how good that's been this week so
far.
611
00:33:45,934 --> 00:33:50,815
But the one thing that stood out to me is the
stadium seating.
612
00:33:50,974 --> 00:33:56,920
They have built these massive stadium seatings
that kinda rival like the Waste Management
613
00:33:56,920 --> 00:33:58,119
Phoenix Open.
614
00:33:58,200 --> 00:33:59,960
And I'm like, oh, wow.
615
00:33:59,960 --> 00:34:05,240
Like, this would actually be really cool to go
out there, get a spot, and just post up for a
616
00:34:05,240 --> 00:34:05,559
little while.
617
00:34:05,559 --> 00:34:09,594
I don't know if it is all about like I wouldn't
want to walk around Bethpage.
618
00:34:09,594 --> 00:34:11,675
Bethpage is a long place to walk around.
619
00:34:11,675 --> 00:34:13,114
7,400 yards.
620
00:34:13,114 --> 00:34:15,034
You're going uphill, downhill.
621
00:34:15,194 --> 00:34:17,835
Like there's a lot of that going on.
622
00:34:19,114 --> 00:34:19,914
I've walked it.
623
00:34:20,859 --> 00:34:21,340
Gosh.
624
00:34:21,340 --> 00:34:22,940
I think I've walked it every time.
625
00:34:23,500 --> 00:34:24,780
If I'm not mistaken.
626
00:34:25,500 --> 00:34:28,380
I don't think I've ever taken no, I've taken a
cart a few times.
627
00:34:28,940 --> 00:34:29,739
I lied.
628
00:34:29,739 --> 00:34:37,735
So but it is a hilly course that I don't, as a
fan, I don't think I would wanna kinda try to
629
00:34:37,735 --> 00:34:38,934
walk every single hole.
630
00:34:38,934 --> 00:34:41,095
I'd definitely just be sitting up in the
stands.
631
00:34:41,095 --> 00:34:42,295
But the stands look pretty
632
00:34:42,454 --> 00:34:45,815
Find a comfy zone to spectate from for a couple
of hours.
633
00:34:46,349 --> 00:34:47,230
Exactly.
634
00:34:47,230 --> 00:34:48,269
I probably have a plan.
635
00:34:48,269 --> 00:34:48,430
Yeah.
636
00:34:48,430 --> 00:34:53,470
I mean, maybe, you know, we're gonna start over
here for the day and then after lunch, make our
637
00:34:53,470 --> 00:34:56,590
way, grab some food and then go over here, you
know, close it out.
638
00:34:56,829 --> 00:34:57,470
There you go.
639
00:34:58,985 --> 00:35:04,505
The next part that I wanna get into is actually
a nice little clip that Arnold Schwarzenegger
640
00:35:04,505 --> 00:35:05,465
sent over to us.
641
00:35:05,465 --> 00:35:07,465
So let's go ahead and take a look at that.
642
00:35:08,585 --> 00:35:09,945
Go Team USA.
643
00:35:09,945 --> 00:35:11,625
Fucking Ryder Cup, baby.
644
00:35:11,704 --> 00:35:12,664
Fuck you, Brandel.
645
00:35:12,664 --> 00:35:14,265
The boxer gonna love this one.
646
00:35:14,639 --> 00:35:15,359
Look at that.
647
00:35:15,359 --> 00:35:16,239
Fuck you.
648
00:35:16,559 --> 00:35:20,400
336 fucking yards of bots, Brandel.
649
00:35:20,400 --> 00:35:21,679
What do you think about that?
650
00:35:21,679 --> 00:35:23,039
Suck on this one.
651
00:35:23,039 --> 00:35:30,605
So I mean, incredible stuff from Arnold just,
you know, commenting and we do need to talk
652
00:35:30,605 --> 00:35:34,284
about Brandel Chamblee's comments on Bryson
DeChambeau.
653
00:35:34,284 --> 00:35:34,925
Oh, gosh.
654
00:35:34,925 --> 00:35:37,485
Because these were his exact words.
655
00:35:37,724 --> 00:35:42,444
He didn't talk about playing on a team and how
much that meant.
656
00:35:42,829 --> 00:35:47,710
What he did do was talk about his YouTube
channel, which if we want to talk about the
657
00:35:47,710 --> 00:35:50,829
numbers that are generated from that, it's
pretty dubious.
658
00:35:50,829 --> 00:35:54,430
I have no doubt that bots are generating a lot
of those views.
659
00:35:54,590 --> 00:35:59,025
There may be some interest as well, but that's
what he wants to talk about.
660
00:35:59,025 --> 00:36:01,425
Not the team, not the Ryder Cup.
661
00:36:01,425 --> 00:36:09,985
So let's get you just heard Arnold
Schwarzenegger talk about Bryson and what
662
00:36:09,985 --> 00:36:11,824
Bryson was thinking about Brandel.
663
00:36:12,690 --> 00:36:13,730
What do you guys think?
664
00:36:14,130 --> 00:36:18,210
Which side of the fence are you on with the
Brandel Chamblee versus Bryson on that?
665
00:36:18,289 --> 00:36:25,925
This sounds like something that somebody that
works in politics has written for them to say,
666
00:36:26,565 --> 00:36:28,724
like, this is gonna be perfect.
667
00:36:28,724 --> 00:36:33,045
This is about the most riled up thing that I
could possibly invent.
668
00:36:34,244 --> 00:36:39,980
And if they did, if that's the truth, you know,
call it Brandelgate if you want to, or Botgate.
669
00:36:39,980 --> 00:36:41,500
We'll call it Botgate.
670
00:36:42,699 --> 00:36:46,539
They did a great job because it's been on every
platform.
671
00:36:47,260 --> 00:36:49,500
You just were making videos about it.
672
00:36:49,500 --> 00:36:50,380
It's working.
673
00:36:50,380 --> 00:36:52,780
Whatever Brandel is saying is fucking working.
674
00:36:53,045 --> 00:36:55,125
So that's where I'm at with it.
675
00:36:55,125 --> 00:36:56,724
It almost sounds designed to me.
676
00:36:56,724 --> 00:37:01,204
I don't know that Brandel would really say that
he fucking cares about Bryson DeChambeau's
677
00:37:01,204 --> 00:37:01,765
bots.
678
00:37:01,844 --> 00:37:04,644
I don't even think Brandel knows what bots are.
679
00:37:04,644 --> 00:37:05,605
What a bot is.
680
00:37:05,605 --> 00:37:05,765
Yeah.
681
00:37:06,890 --> 00:37:11,930
I think that's the big miss by everybody that's
kinda picking a side in all of this.
682
00:37:12,170 --> 00:37:13,769
It was media-driven.
683
00:37:13,769 --> 00:37:19,849
It was meant to be taken as a hot take snippet,
and then everybody's gonna chime about it.
684
00:37:19,849 --> 00:37:23,635
But I have seen where just everybody's shitting
on Brandel for this one.
685
00:37:23,635 --> 00:37:29,474
Everybody's just like, dude, you clearly don't
understand that, like, Bryson is popular on
686
00:37:29,474 --> 00:37:30,195
YouTube.
687
00:37:30,195 --> 00:37:33,074
Like, that's not just bot-generated interest.
688
00:37:34,119 --> 00:37:34,519
Yeah.
689
00:37:34,519 --> 00:37:36,119
Just because he doesn't watch it.
690
00:37:36,119 --> 00:37:36,519
Yeah.
691
00:37:36,519 --> 00:37:39,960
That's why somebody fucking put that in front
of him and he read it.
692
00:37:39,960 --> 00:37:40,840
I don't know.
693
00:37:41,320 --> 00:37:42,039
That's what do
694
00:37:42,039 --> 00:37:43,160
you think, buddy?
695
00:37:43,639 --> 00:37:45,480
You're sitting there in shock.
696
00:37:45,880 --> 00:37:46,199
Yeah.
697
00:37:46,199 --> 00:37:49,065
I mean, I've listened to him talk.
698
00:37:49,065 --> 00:37:50,824
I've listened to Brandel talk in person.
699
00:37:50,824 --> 00:37:52,265
I've talked to him a few times.
700
00:37:52,585 --> 00:37:55,704
He definitely loves some from some Brandel
Chamblee.
701
00:37:55,704 --> 00:38:03,059
But, you know, the question you have to ask
yourself is, is what he's saying even remotely
702
00:38:03,059 --> 00:38:03,539
true?
703
00:38:03,539 --> 00:38:08,900
Did Bryson DeChambeau really not mention
anything about being on the team?
704
00:38:09,219 --> 00:38:16,135
Like, in all of his talks while he's doing
this, is it really like he's been completely
705
00:38:16,135 --> 00:38:18,055
devoid of any team talk?
706
00:38:18,135 --> 00:38:25,815
And if it's not as much as Brandel thinks it
is, then it just wouldn't matter even if it was
707
00:38:25,815 --> 00:38:26,375
close.
708
00:38:26,375 --> 00:38:31,010
He's just gonna be like, oh, well, he's a LIV
player, and he took blood money, and he's just
709
00:38:31,010 --> 00:38:35,170
a moral POS, and like, here's the stats on how
good.
710
00:38:35,250 --> 00:38:36,849
Like, I don't care.
711
00:38:37,090 --> 00:38:42,355
Like, be more of a pompous douchebag, please.
712
00:38:42,675 --> 00:38:51,155
Well, I will say, as I dipped my toe for the
very first time ever into a post that was
713
00:38:51,474 --> 00:38:59,760
apparently, because you can't have just like a
neutral opinion on something and be logical
714
00:38:59,760 --> 00:39:03,599
about it and have common sense, that you're
either one side or another.
715
00:39:03,920 --> 00:39:10,835
Well, Brandel very much so plays it like
politics to where like he's delusional on this
716
00:39:10,835 --> 00:39:11,315
one.
717
00:39:11,394 --> 00:39:14,675
Like, that isn't even a take that makes sense.
718
00:39:14,675 --> 00:39:18,914
Like, everybody's against him on it and it's
just like, what the hell are you trying to do
719
00:39:18,914 --> 00:39:25,300
other than just you get additional clicks and
social media coverage and views?
720
00:39:25,539 --> 00:39:29,540
Like, it's absolutely ridiculous and it's
delusional.
721
00:39:29,619 --> 00:39:30,180
Gonna find out
722
00:39:30,420 --> 00:39:30,980
everybody up.
723
00:39:30,980 --> 00:39:31,140
Yeah.
724
00:39:31,140 --> 00:39:33,860
He's gonna find out what bots are because
they're about to come for him.
725
00:39:34,464 --> 00:39:36,144
It's like politics, man.
726
00:39:36,144 --> 00:39:37,105
It is like politics.
727
00:39:37,105 --> 00:39:42,944
And golf has become—I didn't realize how
delusional.
728
00:39:42,944 --> 00:39:44,704
I thought it was just in golf.
729
00:39:45,025 --> 00:39:50,760
But apparently, like, this is a common theme
across different things that I didn't realize
730
00:39:50,760 --> 00:39:53,639
golf was as political as it is.
731
00:39:53,960 --> 00:39:56,920
But clearly, over time, we've realized that it
is.
732
00:39:57,000 --> 00:39:57,480
Oh, yeah.
733
00:39:57,480 --> 00:39:57,719
Yes.
734
00:39:57,719 --> 00:40:03,914
I mean, it's why it's like a perfect case study
to look at Xander and Scottie last year and
735
00:40:03,914 --> 00:40:07,034
notice that they never talked about any of the
changes.
736
00:40:07,034 --> 00:40:13,434
And yet Rory, Cantlay, Spieth, Thomas, all of
these great players were playing like crap.
737
00:40:13,514 --> 00:40:17,829
And Scottie and Xander pretty much walked away
with anything because they don't give a damn.
738
00:40:18,070 --> 00:40:23,750
And it's like, focus on golf, play great golf,
you make more money, that's great.
739
00:40:23,750 --> 00:40:28,784
You focus on politics, you don't play golf as
well, and your life is miserable.
740
00:40:28,784 --> 00:40:32,465
I mean, it's just terrible stuff.
741
00:40:33,105 --> 00:40:35,425
Buttsy, you look like you got something to say.
742
00:40:35,905 --> 00:40:38,545
Oh, I was just commenting on Brent's hand
signals because he goes.
743
00:40:45,380 --> 00:40:49,140
Here's Brandel's other comments on Bryson,
which goes even further.
744
00:40:49,140 --> 00:40:49,619
Right?
745
00:40:49,619 --> 00:40:51,780
It's and this is on him being a teammate.
746
00:40:52,155 --> 00:40:56,715
It's one of the reasons why I think he's going
to be such a difficult person to get paired
747
00:40:56,715 --> 00:40:57,275
with.
748
00:40:57,355 --> 00:40:59,515
No doubt, he's one hell of a golfer.
749
00:40:59,515 --> 00:41:03,275
No doubt, he has his moments and generosity
with fans.
750
00:41:03,275 --> 00:41:04,155
I've heard about it.
751
00:41:04,949 --> 00:41:11,109
But he's an odd duck when it comes to trying to
blend in with the team and he has so many
752
00:41:11,109 --> 00:41:16,070
potential bulletin board mistakes and I think
he would be a captain's nightmare.
753
00:41:17,765 --> 00:41:18,724
I don't know.
754
00:41:20,325 --> 00:41:20,724
I don't
755
00:41:20,724 --> 00:41:21,364
know, man.
756
00:41:21,364 --> 00:41:22,485
Don't know if that's played pretty
757
00:41:22,485 --> 00:41:23,765
well at Whistling Straits.
758
00:41:25,285 --> 00:41:27,765
I think he's a great Ryder Cup teammate.
759
00:41:27,765 --> 00:41:28,164
It's phenomenal.
760
00:41:28,679 --> 00:41:35,239
Once again, this kinda goes to the delusional
side to where it's like he's in LIV Golf.
761
00:41:35,239 --> 00:41:35,639
Yeah.
762
00:41:35,639 --> 00:41:36,599
And that's it.
763
00:41:36,920 --> 00:41:38,599
And he's bad.
764
00:41:38,760 --> 00:41:43,159
Like no matter what you're gonna label him
because he's a LIV Golf guy.
765
00:41:43,695 --> 00:41:46,494
I don't think the team has a problem with
Bryson DeChambeau.
766
00:41:46,494 --> 00:41:51,215
I haven't heard a single person talk negatively
about Bryson DeChambeau.
767
00:41:51,215 --> 00:41:55,055
And guess who he's got him paired up with, or
Keegan Bradley's got him paired up with?
768
00:41:55,869 --> 00:41:56,989
Justin Thomas.
769
00:41:56,989 --> 00:41:57,869
Justin Thomas.
770
00:41:57,869 --> 00:41:58,269
Yeah.
771
00:41:58,269 --> 00:41:59,789
Like, that's a perfect pairing.
772
00:41:59,789 --> 00:42:01,949
Like, JT doesn't have Jordan Spieth.
773
00:42:01,949 --> 00:42:05,150
He doesn't have, you know, Rickie Fowler.
774
00:42:05,469 --> 00:42:08,750
So it's like, yeah, pair them up with Bryson.
775
00:42:08,750 --> 00:42:10,349
Those two guys have huge egos.
776
00:42:10,349 --> 00:42:10,829
It doesn't matter.
777
00:42:11,175 --> 00:42:12,454
Like, pair them up together.
778
00:42:12,454 --> 00:42:13,175
They're not gonna, like
779
00:42:13,414 --> 00:42:16,295
They're gonna be they're gonna fucking fuel
each other's fire,
780
00:42:16,295 --> 00:42:16,614
dude.
781
00:42:16,614 --> 00:42:17,335
Exactly.
782
00:42:17,655 --> 00:42:17,974
Yeah.
783
00:42:17,974 --> 00:42:21,655
This whole this whole conversation about, you
know, what's the U.S.
784
00:42:21,655 --> 00:42:24,135
team really gonna do about this XYZ?
785
00:42:24,135 --> 00:42:29,059
I I just love the fact that there really hasn't
been much talk from the guys.
786
00:42:29,059 --> 00:42:35,619
Like, I remember, I think it was I think it was
Paris, you know, there or Italy where they were
787
00:42:35,619 --> 00:42:36,420
talking about the hats.
788
00:42:36,420 --> 00:42:36,660
Rome.
789
00:42:36,660 --> 00:42:37,380
Yeah.
790
00:42:37,380 --> 00:42:37,860
Was Italy.
791
00:42:37,860 --> 00:42:38,420
So so it was Rome.
792
00:42:39,025 --> 00:42:43,744
They were talking about the hats and all this
issue with with the Netflix thing, and it just,
793
00:42:43,744 --> 00:42:50,625
like, there's, like, everybody's kinda just
closed ranks, and it's been it's been beautiful
794
00:42:50,625 --> 00:42:57,099
to see just a one one solid mind coming from
the captaincy, which is great.
795
00:42:57,099 --> 00:43:03,660
I mean, if if you go to you go back to Rome two
years ago, Patrick Cantlay was all the talk and
796
00:43:03,660 --> 00:43:07,180
and all the controversy about not wearing a
hat.
797
00:43:07,695 --> 00:43:11,775
So, like, why isn't that part of the
conversation coming into this year?
798
00:43:11,855 --> 00:43:15,295
Don't hear a word about Patty Ice because the
team likes him.
799
00:43:15,295 --> 00:43:16,815
Team doesn't have a problem with him.
800
00:43:16,815 --> 00:43:18,255
Same thing with Bryson.
801
00:43:18,255 --> 00:43:18,815
Yeah.
802
00:43:18,815 --> 00:43:19,535
Exactly.
803
00:43:19,775 --> 00:43:26,489
So, I mean, I don't get it from Brandel other
than obviously playing it like politics to
804
00:43:26,489 --> 00:43:28,090
where he's bad.
805
00:43:28,250 --> 00:43:29,210
I'm good.
806
00:43:29,690 --> 00:43:31,130
This is what it is.
807
00:43:31,130 --> 00:43:33,369
And this is the only way to view it.
808
00:43:33,369 --> 00:43:38,645
So it's just unfortunately for Brandel, he's on
the wrong side on these.
809
00:43:38,965 --> 00:43:41,045
He loves and I think he loves that.
810
00:43:41,045 --> 00:43:41,765
Oh, yeah.
811
00:43:42,164 --> 00:43:43,125
He absolutely does.
812
00:43:43,125 --> 00:43:44,965
I think we all agree he loves that.
813
00:43:44,965 --> 00:43:48,644
He loves being the guy that says the
controversial thing.
814
00:43:48,644 --> 00:43:49,684
I mean, always has.
815
00:43:50,319 --> 00:43:57,440
You know, when Tiger was going through his
thing and even into the 2018, 2019 season, he
816
00:43:57,440 --> 00:44:00,239
was talking a bunch of mess and Tiger talked
mess.
817
00:44:00,239 --> 00:44:04,799
Wrong and then he talks crap about Scottie and
Scottie proves him wrong.
818
00:44:04,799 --> 00:44:07,824
It's just this Brandel loves being the guy.
819
00:44:07,824 --> 00:44:08,384
Exactly.
820
00:44:08,384 --> 00:44:09,184
Thank you, Trot.
821
00:44:09,184 --> 00:44:14,464
Brandel is lighting the fire and unfortunately
for Brandel at this day and age, he's getting a
822
00:44:14,464 --> 00:44:20,304
little bit long in the tooth and I think
everybody's getting a little bit over how he
823
00:44:20,304 --> 00:44:20,464
is.
824
00:44:21,050 --> 00:44:22,570
You look dumb.
825
00:44:22,570 --> 00:44:23,289
Exactly.
826
00:44:24,250 --> 00:44:28,730
I can't stop staring at that Sugarloaf hat from
DevRo.
827
00:44:28,730 --> 00:44:29,929
That visor Buttsy.
828
00:44:29,929 --> 00:44:31,130
That thing is great.
829
00:44:31,210 --> 00:44:32,489
It's very American.
830
00:44:32,489 --> 00:44:33,769
Very American.
831
00:44:33,769 --> 00:44:34,543
I love it.
832
00:44:34,543 --> 00:44:35,050
That's awesome.
833
00:44:35,050 --> 00:44:37,635
I like the script on it.
834
00:44:37,635 --> 00:44:38,595
It's pretty solid.
835
00:44:38,914 --> 00:44:40,114
Very solid.
836
00:44:40,114 --> 00:44:41,155
Thanks, dude.
837
00:44:41,315 --> 00:44:47,715
The other side to this is that, you know, what
Patrick Cantlay was complaining about, and it
838
00:44:47,715 --> 00:44:52,849
kinda got tucked away very quickly after the
report came out about him not wearing a hat
839
00:44:52,849 --> 00:44:54,289
because he wasn't being paid.
840
00:44:54,289 --> 00:44:55,730
The U.S.
841
00:44:55,730 --> 00:44:57,089
team got paid this year.
842
00:44:57,569 --> 00:45:03,170
So, they're getting paid about the same amount,
which I do not know what that is, that they're
843
00:45:03,170 --> 00:45:04,449
getting paid for the Presidents Cup.
844
00:45:04,744 --> 00:45:09,144
So do you guys think this is a good thing, bad
thing, or indifferent in regards to these guys
845
00:45:09,144 --> 00:45:10,105
getting paid?
846
00:45:10,184 --> 00:45:13,864
Europe, the players decided they didn't want to
be paid.
847
00:45:14,184 --> 00:45:16,505
They wanted to do this without being paid.
848
00:45:16,920 --> 00:45:19,319
So that's enough right there.
849
00:45:19,319 --> 00:45:19,880
Right?
850
00:45:20,599 --> 00:45:24,920
Like, it's for honor, and that's how they'll
kind of probably frame that for honor and
851
00:45:24,920 --> 00:45:26,839
country, and it's not about the money.
852
00:45:26,839 --> 00:45:27,960
I mean, I don't know.
853
00:45:29,335 --> 00:45:33,574
It could be for honor and country and all that,
and if you wanna throw me a few bucks too,
854
00:45:33,574 --> 00:45:34,855
great, like, for the effort.
855
00:45:34,855 --> 00:45:36,375
I mean, I don't know.
856
00:45:36,375 --> 00:45:37,655
That wouldn't bother me.
857
00:45:37,735 --> 00:45:39,335
You don't think it changes anything?
858
00:45:40,934 --> 00:45:42,614
Not to a person like me.
859
00:45:42,614 --> 00:45:43,974
Now, that's how I think.
860
00:45:44,610 --> 00:45:49,890
Don't know if 90 percent of the rest of the
world shares that viewpoint.
861
00:45:49,890 --> 00:45:53,329
Probably not, but it doesn't bother me.
862
00:45:53,970 --> 00:45:55,329
Brent, what about you?
863
00:45:55,329 --> 00:46:01,914
I mean, as a professional golfer, having an
honor of going and playing in the Ryder Cup
864
00:46:02,074 --> 00:46:03,195
I mean, they need the money.
865
00:46:03,195 --> 00:46:03,434
They need
866
00:46:03,515 --> 00:46:09,914
Do you think that they need to put food on the
table for their families by playing in the
867
00:46:09,914 --> 00:46:10,394
Ryder Cup?
868
00:46:10,910 --> 00:46:11,869
It just shows.
869
00:46:11,869 --> 00:46:13,390
It just shows exactly.
870
00:46:13,390 --> 00:46:21,710
I mean, all of the satire and the facetiousness
aside, like, the sarcasm that you could throw
871
00:46:21,710 --> 00:46:27,164
at this because it's just ridiculous that these
guys are still talking about how much they're
872
00:46:27,164 --> 00:46:27,964
getting paid.
873
00:46:28,684 --> 00:46:35,244
Just shows you that this whole idea of putting
on the stars and stripes to them, to this group
874
00:46:35,244 --> 00:46:37,005
of players, they don't care.
875
00:46:37,650 --> 00:46:43,090
And to me, personally, and it's totally, you
know, I'll own it as my own personal bias.
876
00:46:43,329 --> 00:46:45,569
My family has fought and bled for this country.
877
00:46:45,569 --> 00:46:49,889
If I was given the honor to put on the stars
and stripes, I would pay to do it.
878
00:46:50,130 --> 00:46:55,815
You, I've, shoot, I'd play the whole European
team by myself if I was wearing the American
879
00:46:55,815 --> 00:46:56,135
flag.
880
00:46:56,135 --> 00:46:56,295
I
881
00:46:56,295 --> 00:46:57,974
don't I don't think that'd work out well for
you.
882
00:46:57,974 --> 00:46:59,734
But the point is, like, is like
883
00:46:59,815 --> 00:47:01,414
You'd show up in a Higgins boat.
884
00:47:01,414 --> 00:47:02,295
Like, literally.
885
00:47:02,295 --> 00:47:04,230
Like, it's just like, I don't care.
886
00:47:04,309 --> 00:47:07,269
And it's, it's this, the whole idea is like
kinda what I was saying earlier.
887
00:47:07,269 --> 00:47:12,630
It was like, the guys in the '90s and early
2000s, those were just a bunch of just crusty,
888
00:47:12,630 --> 00:47:17,085
salty veterans that just loved the idea of
beating the living crap out of the European
889
00:47:17,085 --> 00:47:17,565
team.
890
00:47:17,565 --> 00:47:21,965
The American team now is a bunch of playboys
that just want to get out there and want to be
891
00:47:21,965 --> 00:47:25,644
shown so it grows their brand and show how cool
they are.
892
00:47:25,644 --> 00:47:27,244
But oh, it's the star of
893
00:47:27,244 --> 00:47:27,565
the stripe.
894
00:47:27,565 --> 00:47:31,559
Scottie Scheffler is a playboy that wants to
show off his brand?
895
00:47:31,559 --> 00:47:36,200
I think if Scottie Scheffler, I think if
Scottie Scheffler takes the check, I think
896
00:47:36,200 --> 00:47:38,599
he's, I think he's dishonoring the stars and
stripes.
897
00:47:38,599 --> 00:47:38,840
Yeah.
898
00:47:38,840 --> 00:47:39,480
I do.
899
00:47:40,119 --> 00:47:40,920
Oh, you okay.
900
00:47:40,920 --> 00:47:44,440
So you're saying if you find it dishonorable to
take the money offered?
901
00:47:44,680 --> 00:47:45,079
100%.
902
00:47:45,965 --> 00:47:47,085
So I'm also waiting too.
903
00:47:47,164 --> 00:47:48,445
You might have missed it a few minutes ago.
904
00:47:48,445 --> 00:47:52,045
He said it was $200K, and he heard that Patty
Ice donated
905
00:47:52,204 --> 00:47:52,605
Hope he did.
906
00:47:52,605 --> 00:47:53,324
All to charity.
907
00:47:53,324 --> 00:47:54,364
I hope he did.
908
00:47:54,684 --> 00:48:01,910
Listen, I'm not against them getting paid, but
it definitely leads to a narrative that the
909
00:48:01,910 --> 00:48:03,349
Europeans turned it down.
910
00:48:03,910 --> 00:48:09,510
And once again, these little edges that the
European team gets
911
00:48:09,670 --> 00:48:10,309
Thank you.
912
00:48:10,550 --> 00:48:13,990
Even little narratives like this, they play.
913
00:48:14,390 --> 00:48:15,190
And guess what?
914
00:48:16,265 --> 00:48:21,385
There might be a sly comment that comes out in
the middle of a match that kinda sets somebody
915
00:48:21,385 --> 00:48:22,105
off.
916
00:48:22,105 --> 00:48:22,664
You know?
917
00:48:22,664 --> 00:48:28,744
There's like these little digs that can happen
and who knows what ends up coming from this.
918
00:48:28,744 --> 00:48:35,219
But I will say this, Luke Donald with
everything they did, all the details that they
919
00:48:35,219 --> 00:48:40,340
did for that European headquarters, then you
even have narratives like this.
920
00:48:40,500 --> 00:48:46,684
Everything is pointing towards the European
team this year and that's gotta just absolutely
921
00:48:46,684 --> 00:48:54,364
bug three Americans on this show that are
having to talk about how well the Europeans are
922
00:48:54,364 --> 00:48:55,005
doing it right now.
923
00:48:55,690 --> 00:49:00,329
They should just pool all their money that they
get from it and use it to get the Statue of
924
00:49:00,329 --> 00:49:01,849
Liberty cleaned, you
925
00:49:01,849 --> 00:49:02,250
know?
926
00:49:02,969 --> 00:49:03,449
Yes.
927
00:49:03,449 --> 00:49:04,410
Maybe something like that.
928
00:49:04,410 --> 00:49:06,010
Just donate it to the city.
929
00:49:06,010 --> 00:49:06,570
Just donate it.
930
00:49:06,570 --> 00:49:07,769
I mean, or like,
931
00:49:08,984 --> 00:49:15,144
show up with a statue painted red, white and
blue of Rory McIlroy crying but have it just be
932
00:49:15,144 --> 00:49:16,664
$300.
933
00:49:17,304 --> 00:49:18,344
Not like a real one.
934
00:49:18,344 --> 00:49:19,224
Like a real one.
935
00:49:19,224 --> 00:49:19,864
That'd be genius.
936
00:49:20,070 --> 00:49:20,309
Yeah.
937
00:49:20,309 --> 00:49:21,190
Like, at the course.
938
00:49:21,190 --> 00:49:21,829
That's the thing.
939
00:49:21,829 --> 00:49:22,070
Right?
940
00:49:22,070 --> 00:49:26,630
I mean, like, you look at how all this ends up
breaking down, and you're just like, oh, okay.
941
00:49:26,630 --> 00:49:30,230
So the Americans are whining about how much
they're getting paid again.
942
00:49:30,550 --> 00:49:32,710
And you're like, oh, they donated it to
charity.
943
00:49:32,710 --> 00:49:33,670
That's great.
944
00:49:33,829 --> 00:49:33,989
Like,
945
00:49:34,505 --> 00:49:36,505
know what they should have donated it to?
946
00:49:36,585 --> 00:49:37,545
To the beers.
947
00:49:37,545 --> 00:49:42,585
Andrew brings up here on YouTube that, how
about those beer prices laugh out loud?
948
00:49:42,664 --> 00:49:47,465
Let's donate some of that money and get these
guys loaded up early in the day.
949
00:49:47,704 --> 00:49:48,425
That's smart.
950
00:49:48,869 --> 00:49:49,509
Yeah.
951
00:49:49,509 --> 00:49:50,469
I mean, shoot.
952
00:49:50,469 --> 00:49:52,789
That would be bet and talk about the storyline.
953
00:49:52,789 --> 00:49:54,389
All of a sudden, the narrative shifts.
954
00:49:54,549 --> 00:49:59,190
USA team just donated all their money to beer
for all the patrons.
955
00:49:59,349 --> 00:50:04,804
So what do you guys think about because I think
it was Rory that said that this narrative may
956
00:50:04,804 --> 00:50:07,684
turn some of the New York crowd against him.
957
00:50:07,684 --> 00:50:11,204
This idea that they, you know, that they took
the money and that they you know, I mean, the
958
00:50:11,204 --> 00:50:16,869
New York crowd doesn't I mean, if you go in a
wrong direction, it's not like they stay super
959
00:50:16,869 --> 00:50:18,230
happy with you all the time.
960
00:50:18,230 --> 00:50:20,949
Like, if you piss them off, even just the The
New
961
00:50:20,949 --> 00:50:22,070
Yorkers are loyal though.
962
00:50:22,070 --> 00:50:25,349
They're they're not they are not going for the
European team.
963
00:50:25,349 --> 00:50:26,309
Quick to boo.
964
00:50:26,630 --> 00:50:27,909
Well, boo, for sure.
965
00:50:28,265 --> 00:50:29,704
Let's just play this out.
966
00:50:29,704 --> 00:50:34,105
Let's just say we're on the fourth tee box and
there's a huge crowd and all the New Yorkers
967
00:50:34,105 --> 00:50:34,825
are there.
968
00:50:35,224 --> 00:50:39,385
I just don't think that these guys are gonna be
like, fuck this team, they took the money.
969
00:50:40,280 --> 00:50:42,440
There might be some New Yorkers that say
970
00:50:42,760 --> 00:50:44,119
gonna root for the I'm leaving.
971
00:50:44,119 --> 00:50:45,239
I'm gonna sell my tickets.
972
00:50:45,239 --> 00:50:46,199
These guys took the money.
973
00:50:46,199 --> 00:50:47,159
I'm fucking leaving.
974
00:50:47,159 --> 00:50:49,800
Like, they don't give a fuck.
975
00:50:49,800 --> 00:50:53,480
You gotta think about what the international
presence in New York though.
976
00:50:53,480 --> 00:50:54,984
It's not like, I mean
977
00:50:55,144 --> 00:50:56,425
They can't afford the tickets.
978
00:50:56,425 --> 00:50:58,664
That's what the Americans can't afford the
tickets.
979
00:50:58,664 --> 00:51:00,425
The international people can't.
980
00:51:00,505 --> 00:51:01,545
That's the thing.
981
00:51:02,824 --> 00:51:04,344
Oh, shit, dude.
982
00:51:04,344 --> 00:51:04,824
Might be right.
983
00:51:04,824 --> 00:51:07,784
I wonder how big of a crowd will be there
supporting Europe.
984
00:51:07,784 --> 00:51:08,744
I'm just saying we're gonna
985
00:51:08,744 --> 00:51:09,224
find out.
986
00:51:09,449 --> 00:51:10,089
It's because
987
00:51:10,089 --> 00:51:13,849
I mean, New York City is a melting pot of
international people.
988
00:51:13,929 --> 00:51:17,769
The assumption that the whole New York crowd,
you might be right back.
989
00:51:18,809 --> 00:51:23,609
You might be, because it's the United States,
and you got all these flag burners now, like,
990
00:51:23,609 --> 00:51:28,934
might have a bunch of Americans out there that
are just rooting for Europe out of spite.
991
00:51:29,494 --> 00:51:30,934
God, let's hope not.
992
00:51:31,094 --> 00:51:31,815
I hope we don't
993
00:51:31,815 --> 00:51:32,295
see it.
994
00:51:32,295 --> 00:51:32,855
We're not gonna.
995
00:51:32,695 --> 00:51:33,655
I think we will.
996
00:51:35,175 --> 00:51:37,735
Like, still a holy grail there, so I don't
think we'll see that.
997
00:51:37,735 --> 00:51:40,309
But, goddamn.
998
00:51:40,550 --> 00:51:42,469
Can you imagine the amount of fights going on?
999
00:51:42,469 --> 00:51:43,269
Somebody's
1000
00:51:44,070 --> 00:51:44,630
Right outside
1001
00:51:44,710 --> 00:51:46,230
there's a good one.
1002
00:51:46,309 --> 00:51:47,670
Will there be a fight?
1003
00:51:48,070 --> 00:51:48,950
Absolutely.
1004
00:51:49,750 --> 00:51:50,469
In New York?
1005
00:51:51,605 --> 00:51:52,565
Absolutely.
1006
00:51:52,804 --> 00:51:53,925
It's a good question.
1007
00:51:54,164 --> 00:51:56,244
Will there be a fight on the grounds?
1008
00:51:57,764 --> 00:51:59,284
Over under three.
1009
00:51:59,844 --> 00:52:01,045
Three fights?
1010
00:52:01,045 --> 00:52:01,844
Okay.
1011
00:52:02,565 --> 00:52:03,204
You might?
1012
00:52:03,969 --> 00:52:05,329
Oh, shit.
1013
00:52:05,329 --> 00:52:06,210
That's a three.
1014
00:52:06,210 --> 00:52:07,090
I'll say one.
1015
00:52:07,090 --> 00:52:07,490
No.
1016
00:52:07,730 --> 00:52:09,250
I'm going, I'm saying over under.
1017
00:52:09,250 --> 00:52:10,849
I mean, if you go one, you're under.
1018
00:52:10,849 --> 00:52:11,809
You're on the under.
1019
00:52:11,890 --> 00:52:12,130
Yeah.
1020
00:52:12,130 --> 00:52:13,329
That's the Vegas odds.
1021
00:52:13,329 --> 00:52:14,210
Vegas odds are
1022
00:52:14,449 --> 00:52:15,410
That's what Vegas said.
1023
00:52:15,410 --> 00:52:16,449
They literally put that out.
1024
00:52:16,449 --> 00:52:17,969
It has to be a reported fight too.
1025
00:52:19,134 --> 00:52:20,655
Otherwise, it didn't happen.
1026
00:52:20,894 --> 00:52:21,214
So
1027
00:52:21,375 --> 00:52:21,694
Yeah.
1028
00:52:21,694 --> 00:52:27,375
I think you guys are I think you guys are right
about the about the idea that if you if they
1029
00:52:27,375 --> 00:52:33,349
were to put that money towards a good cause, it
would it would swing some maybe some fence
1030
00:52:33,349 --> 00:52:36,390
sitters and maybe they'd they'd swing red,
white, and blue.
1031
00:52:37,190 --> 00:52:41,269
But, I just don't I just there's too many
assumptions that the American team makes every
1032
00:52:41,269 --> 00:52:42,469
single time we're home.
1033
00:52:42,469 --> 00:52:45,030
And it's just like Medinah was like, oh my
gosh.
1034
00:52:45,030 --> 00:52:46,070
We're gonna kill them.
1035
00:52:46,355 --> 00:52:50,434
And then they just absolutely roasted our ass
that year.
1036
00:52:52,755 --> 00:52:54,355
The fight Chop brings up a good point.
1037
00:52:54,355 --> 00:52:56,914
Will the fight include Rory McIlroy?
1038
00:52:56,994 --> 00:52:57,954
That's what I'm saying.
1039
00:53:03,320 --> 00:53:05,079
LaCava steps across the freaking
1040
00:53:05,239 --> 00:53:08,280
Somebody says something a little weird about
him, Balcon.
1041
00:53:08,360 --> 00:53:09,559
I'll tell you that, actually.
1042
00:53:09,559 --> 00:53:12,840
So don't miss that one like you missed the
four-footer to lose that tournament, you
1043
00:53:12,840 --> 00:53:13,320
schmuck.
1044
00:53:15,065 --> 00:53:16,425
Somebody's gonna say some shit
1045
00:53:16,425 --> 00:53:17,224
like that.
1046
00:53:17,144 --> 00:53:19,144
LaCava's a Buffalo
1047
00:53:19,144 --> 00:53:19,625
native.
1048
00:53:19,305 --> 00:53:20,985
That's good banter.
1049
00:53:21,385 --> 00:53:21,865
Yeah.
1050
00:53:21,625 --> 00:53:22,425
Oh, yeah.
1051
00:53:22,425 --> 00:53:22,825
It's perfect.
1052
00:53:22,825 --> 00:53:24,025
So LaCava's a New York
1053
00:53:23,945 --> 00:53:26,744
LaCava's not the guy that you wanna mess with.
1054
00:53:26,744 --> 00:53:27,065
No.
1055
00:53:27,224 --> 00:53:28,425
LaCava's a huge dude.
1056
00:53:28,559 --> 00:53:28,880
Yeah.
1057
00:53:28,880 --> 00:53:29,760
He's and he's a he's
1058
00:53:29,760 --> 00:53:30,480
a He's a big guy.
1059
00:53:30,480 --> 00:53:30,719
Right?
1060
00:53:30,719 --> 00:53:31,119
He's like,
1061
00:53:31,119 --> 00:53:31,599
six some
1062
00:53:31,760 --> 00:53:32,480
six four?
1063
00:53:32,480 --> 00:53:32,719
No.
1064
00:53:32,719 --> 00:53:34,320
He's not that tall, but he's a big dude.
1065
00:53:35,760 --> 00:53:37,760
I mean, you're a big guy, Buttsy, but I mean,
it's not
1066
00:53:38,000 --> 00:53:40,480
who we got this week, guys?
1067
00:53:40,480 --> 00:53:41,199
Who we got?
1068
00:53:41,199 --> 00:53:44,545
So let's wrap this up with our picks for the
week.
1069
00:53:44,545 --> 00:53:46,545
And, Buttsy, I'm gonna start with you.
1070
00:53:46,545 --> 00:53:47,105
Scottie, you
1071
00:53:47,105 --> 00:53:49,184
got Team USA or you got Europe?
1072
00:53:49,905 --> 00:53:57,760
I am a a bleeding red, white, and blue
American, so I don't care if the United States
1073
00:53:57,760 --> 00:54:00,159
team was deceased and showed up to play.
1074
00:54:00,159 --> 00:54:02,559
I'm going with the fucking US team.
1075
00:54:02,799 --> 00:54:03,840
USA.
1076
00:54:05,920 --> 00:54:06,079
USA.
1077
00:54:06,079 --> 00:54:06,559
USA.
1078
00:54:07,359 --> 00:54:08,880
Still believe in it, you know?
1079
00:54:09,635 --> 00:54:10,835
Still love this place.
1080
00:54:10,835 --> 00:54:16,914
So anything that we're involved in, if it's a
fight, even if it's a golf fight, go USA.
1081
00:54:16,994 --> 00:54:18,675
What's the soccer chant?
1082
00:54:18,914 --> 00:54:19,714
I believe.
1083
00:54:19,714 --> 00:54:21,155
I believe that we will win.
1084
00:54:21,155 --> 00:54:21,474
Correct.
1085
00:54:21,474 --> 00:54:22,994
One team, one something like that.
1086
00:54:23,070 --> 00:54:23,630
Correct.
1087
00:54:23,630 --> 00:54:23,789
One
1088
00:54:23,789 --> 00:54:25,550
team It's USA though.
1089
00:54:25,630 --> 00:54:27,150
So I don't watch soccer either.
1090
00:54:27,150 --> 00:54:27,390
Oh.
1091
00:54:27,390 --> 00:54:28,910
However, when the USA Come on.
1092
00:54:28,910 --> 00:54:32,750
When team USA is on, I'm I'm watching.
1093
00:54:32,750 --> 00:54:33,630
You want to get going?
1094
00:54:33,630 --> 00:54:35,949
Watch some of that stuff from a World Cup.
1095
00:54:36,110 --> 00:54:36,910
I've heard it's awesome.
1096
00:54:36,910 --> 00:54:39,905
It's great stuff.
1097
00:54:39,905 --> 00:54:40,144
Yeah.
1098
00:54:40,144 --> 00:54:42,144
I've heard there's a reason it's huge.
1099
00:54:42,304 --> 00:54:43,344
People love soccer.
1100
00:54:43,344 --> 00:54:43,425
Yeah.
1101
00:54:43,425 --> 00:54:44,144
It's awesome.
1102
00:54:44,545 --> 00:54:46,304
So, Brent, who you got this from?
1103
00:54:46,304 --> 00:54:47,664
Oh, boy.
1104
00:54:47,664 --> 00:54:53,905
Well, the logical correct answer for me would
be to go that the European team comes out and
1105
00:54:53,905 --> 00:54:55,320
wins by four points.
1106
00:54:55,880 --> 00:54:56,119
But
1107
00:54:56,360 --> 00:54:57,160
By four points.
1108
00:54:57,160 --> 00:54:57,559
But what
1109
00:54:57,559 --> 00:54:58,840
do you think about five Billys?
1110
00:54:58,840 --> 00:55:00,040
But no.
1111
00:55:01,320 --> 00:55:03,240
Red, white, and blue, baby, all the way.
1112
00:55:05,480 --> 00:55:06,440
I love how we
1113
00:55:06,440 --> 00:55:10,135
talked up Europe this entire podcast.
1114
00:55:10,135 --> 00:55:17,094
So far we got two for the US, zero for the
European team, and I'm gonna make it the
1115
00:55:17,094 --> 00:55:20,775
trifecta because I have to go Team USA.
1116
00:55:21,289 --> 00:55:23,690
I love everything that Europe's done.
1117
00:55:23,769 --> 00:55:30,010
And I think the USA needs to learn a lot,
especially when they go international in two
1118
00:55:30,010 --> 00:55:30,489
years
1119
00:55:30,489 --> 00:55:31,130
agreed
1120
00:55:31,130 --> 00:55:32,570
and they go overseas.
1121
00:55:32,570 --> 00:55:39,144
They need to take Luke Donald's playbook and
just utilize it for the US team.
1122
00:55:39,224 --> 00:55:40,344
But I'm going USA.
1123
00:55:40,344 --> 00:55:41,945
I think it's going to be very close.
1124
00:55:42,025 --> 00:55:46,025
I think it's going to be a one-point difference
in the victory.
1125
00:55:46,025 --> 00:55:51,089
So I think it's going to come down to those
final matches and hopefully Scottie Scheffler
1126
00:55:51,089 --> 00:55:52,289
is in that final match.
1127
00:55:52,289 --> 00:55:52,769
That's all I'm
1128
00:55:52,769 --> 00:55:53,089
gonna say.
1129
00:55:53,089 --> 00:55:57,250
Think Trump flies a B-2 over the course though.
1130
00:55:57,409 --> 00:55:57,889
100%.
1131
00:55:57,889 --> 00:55:58,210
Yes.
1132
00:55:58,210 --> 00:55:58,530
Friday.
1133
00:55:58,530 --> 00:55:59,569
A few of them actually.
1134
00:55:59,569 --> 00:56:00,609
So he's going Friday.
1135
00:56:01,585 --> 00:56:07,025
So Scottie Scheffler was talking about how he
will, so Trump told him that he will be there
1136
00:56:07,025 --> 00:56:11,105
Friday, on the grounds to talk to Team USA.
1137
00:56:11,905 --> 00:56:18,920
And I love that we're seeing a president that
loves sports 100%, and is showing up to
1138
00:56:19,079 --> 00:56:19,320
Yeah.
1139
00:56:19,400 --> 00:56:21,480
all of the sporting events, which is pretty
cool.
1140
00:56:21,480 --> 00:56:22,039
Yes.
1141
00:56:22,039 --> 00:56:22,679
Absolutely.
1142
00:56:22,679 --> 00:56:23,079
Absolutely.
1143
00:56:23,079 --> 00:56:24,360
Especially this is a big one.
1144
00:56:24,360 --> 00:56:25,719
This goes back a long ways.
1145
00:56:26,094 --> 00:56:26,494
Yeah.
1146
00:56:26,494 --> 00:56:27,375
Gotta be there.
1147
00:56:27,375 --> 00:56:31,295
And actually, I mean, I should say that
previous presidents have done it as well, if
1148
00:56:31,295 --> 00:56:32,015
I'm not mistaken.
1149
00:56:32,015 --> 00:56:32,494
Yeah.
1150
00:56:32,494 --> 00:56:35,535
But I mean, it's a little bit different when
you have DJT there.
1151
00:56:35,535 --> 00:56:41,215
I mean, the guy is gonna bring just the
absolute heat with him.
1152
00:56:41,650 --> 00:56:43,329
I mean, do we see a bomber?
1153
00:56:43,329 --> 00:56:43,809
Do we see
1154
00:56:43,809 --> 00:56:44,210
a bomber?
1155
00:56:44,289 --> 00:56:44,929
100%.
1156
00:56:44,929 --> 00:56:49,170
I can tell you they will fly, probably a couple
C-130s.
1157
00:56:49,170 --> 00:56:53,329
They're gonna fly a couple F-35s and they will
fly a B-2 bomber.
1158
00:56:53,329 --> 00:56:54,050
100%.
1159
00:56:55,885 --> 00:56:57,565
We'll end it with this.
1160
00:56:57,565 --> 00:57:03,324
Over/under number of gallery ropes to
clothesline Bryson if he loses his matches.
1161
00:57:03,324 --> 00:57:04,844
That's from Andrew P.
1162
00:57:05,724 --> 00:57:06,125
Four.
1163
00:57:06,699 --> 00:57:07,260
Four.
1164
00:57:07,260 --> 00:57:08,219
Exactly four.
1165
00:57:08,219 --> 00:57:10,780
I'm gonna go I'm gonna go a half.
1166
00:57:11,179 --> 00:57:11,900
Half?
1167
00:57:12,460 --> 00:57:15,740
You're gonna go two ropes?
1168
00:57:15,980 --> 00:57:18,780
I might just catch them like on the forehead.
1169
00:57:18,780 --> 00:57:19,179
We don't know.
1170
00:57:19,905 --> 00:57:21,425
Not a full clothesline.
1171
00:57:21,425 --> 00:57:23,744
Wear a T-shirt out there with a rope on it and
1172
00:57:25,184 --> 00:57:27,505
Just one rope and one stake, two stakes.
1173
00:57:27,505 --> 00:57:28,385
That'd be awesome.
1174
00:57:28,465 --> 00:57:29,664
Never forget.
1175
00:57:29,664 --> 00:57:30,065
Yeah.
1176
00:57:30,065 --> 00:57:30,465
There you go.
1177
00:57:30,465 --> 00:57:31,505
Everything's gate now.
1178
00:57:31,505 --> 00:57:33,585
Rope gate, bot gate.
1179
00:57:33,664 --> 00:57:33,985
Bot gate.
1180
00:57:33,985 --> 00:57:34,144
Gate.
1181
00:57:34,920 --> 00:57:36,440
I think yeah.
1182
00:57:36,440 --> 00:57:38,039
Maybe we see one.
1183
00:57:38,039 --> 00:57:40,519
We might see one rope battle.
1184
00:57:40,519 --> 00:57:41,239
We'll see.
1185
00:57:42,280 --> 00:57:46,519
And then last comment here from Trott Golfer.
1186
00:57:47,094 --> 00:57:51,255
Ben Griffin will be the last man on Sunday, and
he will win, winning the point for the Ryder
1187
00:57:51,255 --> 00:57:51,815
Cup.
1188
00:57:52,535 --> 00:57:59,655
I hope for his sake that they don't put that
amount of pressure on him after the short miss
1189
00:58:00,519 --> 00:58:05,880
at Silverado in Napa Valley not last weekend,
but the weekend before.
1190
00:58:06,279 --> 00:58:06,599
It might
1191
00:58:06,599 --> 00:58:06,920
be.
1192
00:58:06,759 --> 00:58:07,960
I would hate that for him.
1193
00:58:08,119 --> 00:58:09,559
Where he proves it, dude.
1194
00:58:09,559 --> 00:58:10,359
Maybe he does.
1195
00:58:10,359 --> 00:58:11,400
Maybe Trott's right.
1196
00:58:11,400 --> 00:58:15,815
Maybe Trott is like a real-life Marty McFly and
he's from the future.
1197
00:58:15,815 --> 00:58:16,375
He does.
1198
00:58:16,534 --> 00:58:18,295
He's already seen this play out.
1199
00:58:18,295 --> 00:58:25,175
I've met the guy, like, he's stoic and has a
look of wisdom that you can't really explain.
1200
00:58:25,335 --> 00:58:27,414
He might be from the future and he might be
right.
1201
00:58:28,000 --> 00:58:28,640
He does.
1202
00:58:28,640 --> 00:58:30,400
He's definitely his own vibe.
1203
00:58:30,400 --> 00:58:31,280
That's for sure.
1204
00:58:33,039 --> 00:58:35,360
He rolls his own dust, which I really love.
1205
00:58:35,599 --> 00:58:36,559
Gotta respect it.
1206
00:58:36,559 --> 00:58:37,920
You really gotta respect it.
1207
00:58:38,358 --> 00:58:38,918
Yeah.
1208
00:58:38,918 --> 00:58:39,452
One
1209
00:58:40,518 --> 00:58:41,719
Alright, gents.
1210
00:58:41,719 --> 00:58:43,559
Ryder Cup 2025.
1211
00:58:43,559 --> 00:58:44,998
Start watching on Friday.
1212
00:58:45,478 --> 00:58:47,159
Let's go USA.
1213
00:58:47,398 --> 00:58:48,039
Peace out.
1214
00:58:48,039 --> 00:58:48,838
A-Town.
1215
00:58:48,838 --> 00:58:49,159
Down.
00:00:00,960 --> 00:00:07,839
One of the big things that I saw from we're
talking about the Golf Channel's "Live From the
2
00:00:07,839 --> 00:00:12,079
Ryder Cup" and how good that's been this week
so far.
3
00:00:12,320 --> 00:00:17,304
But the one thing that stood out to me is the
stadium seating.
4
00:00:17,464 --> 00:00:23,385
They have built these massive stadium seatings
that kinda rival like the Waste Management
5
00:00:23,385 --> 00:00:24,585
Phoenix Open.
6
00:00:24,664 --> 00:00:26,425
And I'm like, oh, wow.
7
00:00:26,425 --> 00:00:31,640
Like this would actually be really cool to go
out there, get a spot, and just post up for a
8
00:00:31,640 --> 00:00:32,039
little while.
9
00:00:32,039 --> 00:00:34,439
I don't know if it is all about like,
10
00:00:34,439 --> 00:00:36,200
I wouldn't wanna walk around Bethpage.
11
00:00:36,200 --> 00:00:39,000
Luke Donald and fuck Team Europe.
12
00:00:40,039 --> 00:00:43,079
You look like you are U.S.
13
00:00:43,079 --> 00:00:43,559
ready.
14
00:00:44,085 --> 00:00:46,405
We had to help them win the fucking war.
15
00:00:46,405 --> 00:00:46,884
Alright?
16
00:00:46,884 --> 00:00:51,844
And now we're gonna beat the pants off them
just like we did when we dumped a bunch of tea
17
00:00:51,844 --> 00:00:52,884
off the boat.
18
00:00:53,844 --> 00:00:55,684
The good old Boston Tea Party.
19
00:00:55,684 --> 00:01:03,140
I am a bleeding red, white, and blue American,
so I don't care if the United States team was
20
00:01:03,140 --> 00:01:04,900
deceased and showed up to play.
21
00:01:04,900 --> 00:01:06,739
I'm going with the fucking U.S.
22
00:01:06,739 --> 00:01:07,299
team.
23
00:01:07,379 --> 00:01:08,420
USA.
24
00:01:10,979 --> 00:01:11,459
USA.
25
00:01:12,099 --> 00:01:13,299
Still believe in it, you know?
26
00:01:14,055 --> 00:01:15,094
Still love this place.
27
00:01:15,094 --> 00:01:20,534
So anything that we're involved in, especially
if it's a fight, even if it's a golf fight, go
28
00:01:20,534 --> 00:01:21,495
use it.
29
00:01:26,534 --> 00:01:29,495
Welcome back, everybody, to Pull Hook Golf, the
podcast.
30
00:01:29,810 --> 00:01:31,170
I'm your host, Matt Cook.
31
00:01:31,170 --> 00:01:36,049
Tonight, we've got our co-host and tour
insider, Mister Brent Grant with us.
32
00:01:36,049 --> 00:01:39,810
We've also got Buttsy joining us here in just a
little bit.
33
00:01:39,810 --> 00:01:44,635
So looking forward to this episode because this
only comes around once every two years.
34
00:01:44,635 --> 00:01:48,075
It is the Ryder Cup, and this one is very
special.
35
00:01:48,234 --> 00:01:56,850
The 2025 Ryder Cup show here on Pull Hook Golf,
your favorite unfiltered golf podcast.
36
00:01:57,090 --> 00:02:01,650
And before we get started here tonight, we do
want to shout out to our sponsors.
37
00:02:01,650 --> 00:02:03,090
First off, Devereux Golf.
38
00:02:03,090 --> 00:02:08,129
I'm rocking their collection, which they did
for the Ryder Cup.
39
00:02:08,555 --> 00:02:12,075
I wore the yellow one two weeks ago and I
realized, oh, shoot.
40
00:02:12,075 --> 00:02:12,875
This is Europe.
41
00:02:12,875 --> 00:02:13,675
Little early.
42
00:02:13,675 --> 00:02:16,314
Like, and I kinda like that one a little bit
better.
43
00:02:16,314 --> 00:02:17,194
I gotta be honest.
44
00:02:17,194 --> 00:02:18,395
That's why I wore it first.
45
00:02:18,474 --> 00:02:21,840
But this one is the U.S.
46
00:02:21,840 --> 00:02:22,400
style.
47
00:02:22,400 --> 00:02:24,159
You got the red Johnnie Walker.
48
00:02:24,159 --> 00:02:27,040
You got the Devereux Golf skull over on the
side.
49
00:02:27,360 --> 00:02:28,639
Feeling fresh tonight.
50
00:02:28,639 --> 00:02:30,000
Feeling very USA.
51
00:02:30,000 --> 00:02:33,360
And by the way, this is raised over here, which
is pretty cool.
52
00:02:33,360 --> 00:02:35,040
And then on the back, it says keep walking.
53
00:02:35,284 --> 00:02:35,525
Love
54
00:02:35,525 --> 00:02:35,764
it.
55
00:02:35,764 --> 00:02:37,444
The Johnnie Walker style.
56
00:02:37,444 --> 00:02:42,645
So, yeah, good shout out to Devereux Golf and
Johnnie Walker, by the way.
57
00:02:43,044 --> 00:02:47,685
Make sure to go get yourself some Johnnie
Walker Blue for the Ryder Cup this week.
58
00:02:48,110 --> 00:02:50,349
I feel like that would be nice on the rocks.
59
00:02:50,349 --> 00:02:53,069
You know, we did that during Waste Management
Open week.
60
00:02:53,550 --> 00:02:54,189
Oh, man.
61
00:02:54,189 --> 00:02:58,189
If I was drinking right now, I tell you what, I
would be having a couple of those glasses for
62
00:02:58,189 --> 00:03:03,805
sure, but make sure folks drink responsibly
over the age of 21 or older.
63
00:03:03,805 --> 00:03:04,365
Okay?
64
00:03:05,004 --> 00:03:12,764
Also, Devereux Golf, you could utilize the
promo code, PullHookGolf20 at checkout for 20%
65
00:03:12,764 --> 00:03:16,330
off your entire order over at devereuxgolf.com.
66
00:03:16,330 --> 00:03:19,930
That's devereuxgolf.com.
67
00:03:20,250 --> 00:03:23,530
And folks, they're gonna be coming out with a
fall collection too.
68
00:03:23,689 --> 00:03:29,129
I was over there a couple weeks ago and I got a
sneak peek at the fall collection.
69
00:03:29,594 --> 00:03:37,754
And I'm gonna tell you right now, I am jazzed
because as Bert told me, you know, they made
70
00:03:37,754 --> 00:03:44,390
some stuff that you know is still very much
Devereux Golf, but they also have some great,
71
00:03:45,030 --> 00:03:54,469
like classic style golf wear that still has
that Devereux spin to it, but much more in line
72
00:03:54,469 --> 00:04:00,675
with, I feel like our audience as well as just
mainstream golfers out there that are going to
73
00:04:00,675 --> 00:04:01,875
country clubs and so forth.
74
00:04:01,875 --> 00:04:04,354
So this fall collection is gonna be dynamite.
75
00:04:04,354 --> 00:04:05,395
Make sure to check it out.
76
00:04:05,395 --> 00:04:07,715
It should be dropping relatively soon.
77
00:04:07,715 --> 00:04:10,354
I imagine it's gotta be dropping in October
sometime.
78
00:04:10,790 --> 00:04:14,550
Don't mark my words on that, but really looking
forward to it.
79
00:04:14,550 --> 00:04:20,550
And it has my personal stamp of approval
because I really, really like the styles that
80
00:04:20,550 --> 00:04:21,509
they're coming out with.
81
00:04:21,509 --> 00:04:23,589
There were a few items that I'm like, oh, I
gotta have that.
82
00:04:23,589 --> 00:04:24,149
I gotta have that.
83
00:04:24,149 --> 00:04:24,790
I gotta have that.
84
00:04:24,790 --> 00:04:25,430
I gotta have that.
85
00:04:25,574 --> 00:04:31,175
That usually happens at Devereux when I go in
where I'm just like, I start saying that I want
86
00:04:31,175 --> 00:04:34,455
everything and then I realize I'm like, that's
a little greedy.
87
00:04:34,455 --> 00:04:39,574
I need to, you know, not take every single
thing that they have in here.
88
00:04:40,215 --> 00:04:40,694
So yeah.
89
00:04:40,860 --> 00:04:46,620
Anyways, this fall collection's gonna be tough
because very much my style, very much so the
90
00:04:46,620 --> 00:04:48,300
color palette that I love.
91
00:04:49,019 --> 00:04:49,659
And, yeah.
92
00:04:49,659 --> 00:04:56,615
Anyways, PULLHOOKGOLF20 at checkout for 20% off
your entire order over at devereuxgolf.com.
93
00:04:56,615 --> 00:05:01,014
Also want to, give you guys a promo code for
rock form.
94
00:05:01,014 --> 00:05:02,535
R O K F O R M.
95
00:05:02,535 --> 00:05:04,455
I get asked all the time.
96
00:05:04,855 --> 00:05:10,600
Brent showing off his phone case from rock form
That attaches directly to anything metal,
97
00:05:10,600 --> 00:05:12,600
folks, not just MagSafe.
98
00:05:12,600 --> 00:05:18,680
So the case itself has these very powerful
magnets in it that you could attach to anything
99
00:05:18,680 --> 00:05:19,079
metal.
100
00:05:20,134 --> 00:05:25,495
I have their golf holster that attaches to a
golf shaft that they provide you with.
101
00:05:25,895 --> 00:05:26,775
Stick it in the ground.
102
00:05:26,775 --> 00:05:29,975
You can use it while you're out on the golf
course or at the driving range.
103
00:05:30,935 --> 00:05:32,615
It is unreal though.
104
00:05:32,879 --> 00:05:39,040
And I'll tell you the real secret around it is
that I do virtual sessions with Stark Health, a
105
00:05:39,040 --> 00:05:41,040
group based out of California.
106
00:05:41,040 --> 00:05:42,560
If you guys have followed the 5 a.m.
107
00:05:42,560 --> 00:05:48,824
comeback journey at all, that's the group that
is behind all of the fitness and wellness,
108
00:05:48,985 --> 00:05:52,985
nutrition, chiropractor, the so on and so
forth.
109
00:05:52,985 --> 00:05:53,625
Right?
110
00:05:54,584 --> 00:06:00,345
I go into the gym and I've been asked probably
the last 12 times I've gone into the gym.
111
00:06:01,139 --> 00:06:01,860
What is that?
112
00:06:01,860 --> 00:06:02,900
Who makes that?
113
00:06:03,060 --> 00:06:04,580
Because it's so discreet.
114
00:06:04,580 --> 00:06:06,019
You don't have a tripod.
115
00:06:06,019 --> 00:06:11,779
You're not looking obnoxious in the gym heading
down this big huge thing to all of a sudden
116
00:06:11,779 --> 00:06:15,139
film yourself or in my case be on with my
trainer.
117
00:06:16,045 --> 00:06:20,845
Oh, actually this past Monday a guy comes up to
me and goes, what is that?
118
00:06:21,084 --> 00:06:22,045
And I'm like, what do you mean?
119
00:06:22,045 --> 00:06:23,245
What what what's what?
120
00:06:23,245 --> 00:06:26,444
Like I'm in the middle of a workout and nice
enough guy.
121
00:06:26,444 --> 00:06:29,084
He's just like, he's like, take off your
headphones.
122
00:06:29,084 --> 00:06:29,644
I'm like, okay.
123
00:06:29,819 --> 00:06:31,339
So I take off a headphone.
124
00:06:31,339 --> 00:06:32,780
I'm in the middle of a session.
125
00:06:32,939 --> 00:06:34,620
He's like, what is that?
126
00:06:34,779 --> 00:06:38,460
And I'm like, that's a magnet holder for your
phone.
127
00:06:38,620 --> 00:06:39,980
He's like, oh my gosh.
128
00:06:39,980 --> 00:06:41,180
He goes, who makes that?
129
00:06:41,339 --> 00:06:43,580
And I tell him, I'm like rockform.com.
130
00:06:43,975 --> 00:06:49,654
At the time, and I feel really bad about this
now, I should have just plugged the promo code
131
00:06:49,654 --> 00:06:54,055
for him and been like, by the way, but he was,
like, trying to memorize it because I'm, I'm,
132
00:06:54,055 --> 00:06:56,055
like, spelling it for him like R-O-K Yeah.
133
00:06:56,055 --> 00:06:57,230
F-O-R-M.
134
00:06:57,230 --> 00:07:02,350
So a guy that had never been introduced to the
brand at all had no idea because when I go rock
135
00:07:02,350 --> 00:07:05,069
form, he goes rock rock Raj form.
136
00:07:05,310 --> 00:07:06,750
I'm like, no, not Raj form.
137
00:07:06,750 --> 00:07:07,470
Rock form.
138
00:07:07,470 --> 00:07:09,870
R o k f o r m.
139
00:07:10,294 --> 00:07:15,175
And then I'm like, afterwards, I get back out
with my trainer and they're like, why didn't
140
00:07:15,175 --> 00:07:19,095
you because all my trainers know about rock
form because they've all asked me too.
141
00:07:19,095 --> 00:07:20,535
They're like, what do you use?
142
00:07:20,854 --> 00:07:26,550
And I have told them and I believe some of them
have certainly ordered because I've seen our,
143
00:07:27,029 --> 00:07:29,430
our orders coming in, which is awesome.
144
00:07:29,830 --> 00:07:37,590
But anyways, use the promo code PULLHOOK2025
for 20% off over at rokform.com.
145
00:07:37,670 --> 00:07:42,764
Phone cases, everything magnetic that you could
want with tech.
146
00:07:42,764 --> 00:07:44,925
And then the speaker, by the way, right here.
147
00:07:45,324 --> 00:07:46,764
The G-Rok speaker.
148
00:07:46,845 --> 00:07:48,125
I highly recommend this.
149
00:07:48,125 --> 00:07:51,884
Brent, I know you got the fancier, bigger one
that they have.
150
00:07:52,125 --> 00:07:53,564
But for me, this little guy
151
00:07:53,805 --> 00:07:54,125
Square one?
152
00:07:55,149 --> 00:07:59,310
It just is awesome because it attaches to the
golf cart.
153
00:07:59,310 --> 00:08:01,789
Twenty-four-hour battery life.
154
00:08:01,789 --> 00:08:05,550
So that's the big one to me because I'm like, I
don't want to have to charge this thing.
155
00:08:05,629 --> 00:08:10,285
I feel like I've only charged it a couple times
and I use it all the time.
156
00:08:10,444 --> 00:08:16,204
Whether we're at an ASU tailgate, whether we're
out camping, whether we're on the boat, all of
157
00:08:16,204 --> 00:08:19,564
these different things we utilize the G-Rok by
Rokform.
158
00:08:19,564 --> 00:08:25,240
So again, go out there, get yourself a 20% off
from us.
159
00:08:25,480 --> 00:08:29,080
And by the way, it also supports the podcast.
160
00:08:29,240 --> 00:08:32,440
So, you know, knock out two birds with one
stone.
161
00:08:33,935 --> 00:08:37,375
I was trying to buy some time as well through
our promos this week.
162
00:08:37,375 --> 00:08:41,935
A little bit longer, a little bit more
long-winded, to allow Buttsy some time to get
163
00:08:41,935 --> 00:08:47,970
on here, but let's go ahead and get started
here, Brent, because this is happening in my
164
00:08:47,970 --> 00:08:51,009
former backyard of Bethpage Black.
165
00:08:51,250 --> 00:08:57,009
And folks, if you haven't heard the stories,
whatever, I would be losing matches to anybody
166
00:08:58,129 --> 00:08:59,009
That's where I would go.
167
00:08:59,009 --> 00:09:00,050
I'd go to Bethpage Black.
168
00:09:00,475 --> 00:09:02,235
It fits my game nicely.
169
00:09:02,955 --> 00:09:07,434
I tend to hit it further than a lot of people I
play with.
170
00:09:07,434 --> 00:09:09,995
You're one guy that hits it further than I do.
171
00:09:09,995 --> 00:09:14,789
However, we'll say with working out and so
forth, we'd love to get back out there with you
172
00:09:14,789 --> 00:09:18,070
and just kind of see where it lines up because
it's definitely going further.
173
00:09:18,070 --> 00:09:19,029
That's for sure.
174
00:09:19,830 --> 00:09:21,350
We're over three.
175
00:09:22,230 --> 00:09:23,269
That's for sure.
176
00:09:23,509 --> 00:09:25,269
And then we get some roll out of it too.
177
00:09:25,269 --> 00:09:28,230
So I'm dialed in with the PXG driver anyways.
178
00:09:29,315 --> 00:09:36,274
Bethpage Black, I love this golf course because
for me, it's not the green complexes that are
179
00:09:36,274 --> 00:09:37,315
super tricky.
180
00:09:37,475 --> 00:09:39,634
Like the greens are relatively flat.
181
00:09:40,115 --> 00:09:40,674
Right?
182
00:09:40,674 --> 00:09:49,809
So I feel like it's not that bad when like,
it's just it's not a bad golf course to putt
183
00:09:49,809 --> 00:09:50,290
on.
184
00:09:50,450 --> 00:09:51,330
You know what I mean?
185
00:09:51,330 --> 00:09:56,865
Like, you're not any short game wise where I
always struggled with chipping and pitching
186
00:09:56,865 --> 00:10:01,264
around the greens and so forth, especially as I
wasn't playing all the time.
187
00:10:01,904 --> 00:10:06,305
And I'll say this, like, it's relatively easy
to get around there.
188
00:10:06,545 --> 00:10:13,230
So outside of when they grow the grass really
long, this week, the grass is trimmed.
189
00:10:13,870 --> 00:10:16,590
Like, I heard that the rough is not very high.
190
00:10:17,230 --> 00:10:21,230
The setup is going to be set up for a lot of
birdies out there.
191
00:10:22,509 --> 00:10:30,115
So if we're taking away the challenge behind
it, who does this favor in this matchup?
192
00:10:30,115 --> 00:10:32,034
Because it certainly doesn't seem like the U.S.
193
00:10:32,034 --> 00:10:32,674
team.
194
00:10:33,794 --> 00:10:34,195
Yeah.
195
00:10:34,195 --> 00:10:34,914
Exactly.
196
00:10:34,914 --> 00:10:41,570
I think it's obvious they definitely are able
to tailor the course how they want to.
197
00:10:41,570 --> 00:10:48,529
I mean, heard that throughout the year, before
each Ryder Cup, captains and players are going
198
00:10:48,529 --> 00:10:53,735
out there and saying, trim this and do this,
and they kinda can do what they want and dial
199
00:10:53,735 --> 00:10:54,134
it in.
200
00:10:54,134 --> 00:10:57,894
Obviously, on weather, it could change
drastically.
201
00:10:58,455 --> 00:11:05,970
But with the camaraderie, with the fact that
there's some extra little fire going on, I
202
00:11:05,970 --> 00:11:08,370
don't think the U.S.
203
00:11:08,370 --> 00:11:13,089
team is going to be favored necessarily.
204
00:11:14,209 --> 00:11:19,649
They're gonna be favored because they're
"better" players as far as the rankings are
205
00:11:19,649 --> 00:11:23,274
concerned, but they're not gonna be favored by
an easier setup.
206
00:11:23,274 --> 00:11:31,835
And I think it's a complete mistake to let any
of the European players be even remotely
207
00:11:31,835 --> 00:11:32,634
comfortable.
208
00:11:35,059 --> 00:11:37,139
I think they should have set it up like a U.S.
209
00:11:37,139 --> 00:11:39,379
Open because it's the U.S.
210
00:11:39,379 --> 00:11:41,299
Open, not the British Open.
211
00:11:41,299 --> 00:11:48,245
So, they might have made a fatal mistake by
letting it be a little bit too easy, but who
212
00:11:48,245 --> 00:11:48,485
knows?
213
00:11:48,485 --> 00:11:50,084
I mean, the fairways still look pretty tight.
214
00:11:50,084 --> 00:11:52,404
So I can imagine it's gonna be easy to stop the
ball.
215
00:11:52,644 --> 00:11:58,964
It's just that secondary or the, I guess you
could say, the first cut of rough is super low.
216
00:11:59,284 --> 00:12:03,070
So, I mean, that's still gonna play
challenging, but I'm with you.
217
00:12:03,070 --> 00:12:08,190
I felt like maybe a missed opportunity here
where, yeah, they could have set it up like a
218
00:12:08,190 --> 00:12:08,429
U.S.
219
00:12:08,429 --> 00:12:08,990
Open.
220
00:12:08,990 --> 00:12:15,894
And by the way, this time of year in New York,
it is really, really good when it comes to
221
00:12:15,894 --> 00:12:18,934
being able to grow thick, heavy grass out
there.
222
00:12:19,014 --> 00:12:23,735
So, I was actually just about to bring on
Buttsy except he just jumped off.
223
00:12:23,735 --> 00:12:26,695
So not quite sure what happened there.
224
00:12:26,695 --> 00:12:32,440
I was gonna bring him on as I was letting you
finish out your part of the segment there
225
00:12:32,440 --> 00:12:41,495
because we do have some media as well that I
did want everybody to take a look at because
226
00:12:41,495 --> 00:12:43,254
it's part of this whole entire thing.
227
00:12:43,254 --> 00:12:45,414
But let's talk about the stadium setup.
228
00:12:46,455 --> 00:12:49,894
This was the one that kind of blew me away
because I've played there.
229
00:12:49,894 --> 00:12:56,419
Like, they've kinda I wouldn't say rerouted the
first tee, but it's a little bit different.
230
00:12:56,740 --> 00:13:03,299
And they're making it to where it's drivable
because, obviously, they want players,
231
00:13:03,299 --> 00:13:04,339
especially U.S.
232
00:13:04,339 --> 00:13:05,940
players, to take advantage of it.
233
00:13:06,914 --> 00:13:10,915
I'm very curious to see what ends up happening
there.
234
00:13:11,794 --> 00:13:15,315
But the stadium setup is massive.
235
00:13:15,955 --> 00:13:19,794
Have you seen the aerial view of this whole
thing?
236
00:13:19,794 --> 00:13:20,674
I haven't seen aerial.
237
00:13:20,674 --> 00:13:25,850
I've seen, obviously, guys standing in the
middle, and then I've seen kind of from each
238
00:13:25,850 --> 00:13:26,329
side.
239
00:13:26,329 --> 00:13:31,289
But I can assume it's probably like a small
football field.
240
00:13:32,329 --> 00:13:34,089
It is—it's like a stadium.
241
00:13:34,904 --> 00:13:36,105
Like, like a
242
00:13:35,945 --> 00:13:39,945
kinda reminds me a little bit of Waste
Management Phoenix Open.
243
00:13:39,945 --> 00:13:40,584
Oh, that's gonna be fun.
244
00:13:40,584 --> 00:13:44,024
Like, it is massive.
245
00:13:44,024 --> 00:13:49,679
That first tee stadium setup, which I think
goes to, like, you know, when we've talked
246
00:13:49,679 --> 00:13:56,159
about with the fact that, like, the Ryder Cup
might not be the best fan experience because
247
00:13:56,159 --> 00:13:58,320
your views and everything are not great.
248
00:13:58,879 --> 00:14:01,039
I would just post up on that first tee box.
249
00:14:01,039 --> 00:14:01,519
100%.
250
00:14:01,519 --> 00:14:03,587
If I was going to the U.S.
251
00:14:03,587 --> 00:14:12,054
Open or to the Ryder Cup, I would 100% find a
seat there because you got the first tee and
252
00:14:12,054 --> 00:14:14,934
then you kinda have the view of the 18th coming
up as
253
00:14:14,934 --> 00:14:15,415
well, which
254
00:14:15,975 --> 00:14:16,695
is pretty sweet.
255
00:14:17,169 --> 00:14:18,610
So I don't know, man.
256
00:14:18,610 --> 00:14:27,970
This is like when I saw that, I'm like, wow,
this is gonna be a crazy first tee box setup
257
00:14:28,049 --> 00:14:29,889
and 18th hole setup.
258
00:14:29,889 --> 00:14:35,785
Hopefully, there's some matches that get to the
18th hole, and you can actually have that
259
00:14:35,785 --> 00:14:39,945
experience coming down to the wire, coming down
to the end.
260
00:14:39,945 --> 00:14:42,825
So that'll be a very curious situation.
261
00:14:42,985 --> 00:14:43,785
Can I ask you a
262
00:14:43,785 --> 00:14:44,024
question?
263
00:14:45,070 --> 00:14:45,789
Yeah.
264
00:14:46,429 --> 00:14:56,509
In your experience at Bethpage Black, is there
a time of year where it can get super spicy?
265
00:14:56,589 --> 00:14:57,710
I mean, of course, there is.
266
00:14:57,710 --> 00:14:59,870
But is it this time of year?
267
00:15:01,144 --> 00:15:06,184
I always felt like heading into the fall, like,
love playing there in October.
268
00:15:06,504 --> 00:15:11,625
Like, I just felt like the course was in
pristine condition at that time of year.
269
00:15:11,625 --> 00:15:15,550
And you start getting the foliage too, like,
don't wanna just talk about the beauty of it,
270
00:15:15,550 --> 00:15:18,750
but the greens start getting firmer because it
starts getting colder at night.
271
00:15:19,309 --> 00:15:25,790
So that's where I don't—I don't know enough
about what the weather's been like lately in
272
00:15:25,790 --> 00:15:27,544
New York to No.
273
00:15:27,544 --> 00:15:28,024
Just the weather
274
00:15:28,024 --> 00:15:28,825
or not.
275
00:15:29,225 --> 00:15:31,785
Know it's kinda been a little bit on the
warmer—what's city?
276
00:15:33,144 --> 00:15:36,264
It's in—it's Farmingdale?
277
00:15:36,264 --> 00:15:36,504
No.
278
00:15:36,504 --> 00:15:37,465
It's in Bethpage.
279
00:15:37,465 --> 00:15:40,120
Bethpage, New York.
280
00:15:40,120 --> 00:15:40,600
Farmingdale.
281
00:15:40,600 --> 00:15:40,920
That's pretty
282
00:15:40,920 --> 00:15:41,080
cool.
283
00:15:42,440 --> 00:15:49,879
Well, it's gonna rain Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday and maybe Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
284
00:15:51,174 --> 00:15:58,214
But it does not get warm, so it's definitely
gonna rain Thursday for sure, and it's probably
285
00:15:58,214 --> 00:16:03,095
gonna be a thunderstorm tomorrow and then maybe
some rain throughout the weekend.
286
00:16:03,095 --> 00:16:03,815
So we will see.
287
00:16:04,450 --> 00:16:05,250
We will see.
288
00:16:05,250 --> 00:16:07,889
Maybe, maybe the heavens will open, maybe they
won't.
289
00:16:07,889 --> 00:16:16,769
But I just I just I see this I see this issue
because you know they're not playing the golf
290
00:16:16,769 --> 00:16:17,570
course all the way back.
291
00:16:18,664 --> 00:16:21,144
So they're they're they're playing it shorter.
292
00:16:21,384 --> 00:16:27,464
They're playing it for birdies, and I'm sorry,
but it just does not it does not bode well.
293
00:16:27,464 --> 00:16:34,000
You have to set up long, tight, penalizing off
the tee, hard around the greens, yada yada
294
00:16:34,000 --> 00:16:34,480
yada.
295
00:16:34,480 --> 00:16:40,320
Make it American golf, because that's the only
way that you have an advantage.
296
00:16:41,600 --> 00:16:42,720
I'm with you.
297
00:16:42,720 --> 00:16:43,839
I really am.
298
00:16:43,839 --> 00:16:49,205
I think they could have done so much more with
the golf course.
299
00:16:49,445 --> 00:16:56,085
But again, I'm going off of other people's
perspectives that are there right now that are
300
00:16:56,085 --> 00:16:57,365
analyzing it.
301
00:16:57,365 --> 00:17:03,570
The other one that I do wanna give a quick
little because we've been very difficult on
302
00:17:03,570 --> 00:17:05,809
golf broadcast throughout the years.
303
00:17:06,210 --> 00:17:13,490
And like I've criticized with feedback and so
forth as to, hey, this could be so much better.
304
00:17:14,044 --> 00:17:19,884
The one group that actually does it really,
really well for like pregame stuff or pre show
305
00:17:19,884 --> 00:17:31,710
stuff other than us of course, but the entire
Golf Channel crew that does that show It's on
306
00:17:31,710 --> 00:17:34,990
like Johnson Wagner's phenomenal.
307
00:17:35,630 --> 00:17:38,430
You know, Brandel's always talking shit.
308
00:17:38,830 --> 00:17:48,144
So and he's just so jaded on so much that I
don't I just don't we're gonna get to him in a
309
00:17:48,144 --> 00:17:48,465
second.
310
00:17:48,465 --> 00:17:55,825
This this is a little bit of a segue of getting
into that whole discussion around But, you
311
00:17:55,825 --> 00:17:58,250
know, then you've got oh gosh.
312
00:17:58,250 --> 00:17:59,849
What's the Irish guy's name?
313
00:17:59,849 --> 00:18:02,250
Paul McGinley.
314
00:18:02,250 --> 00:18:04,970
And then you've got the Rich Lerner.
315
00:18:04,970 --> 00:18:05,450
Lerner.
316
00:18:05,450 --> 00:18:08,009
Those guys are great.
317
00:18:08,009 --> 00:18:10,489
And I feel like I've been watching that.
318
00:18:10,569 --> 00:18:13,735
Like, watching, what is it?
319
00:18:13,735 --> 00:18:15,174
Masters on the Range.
320
00:18:15,174 --> 00:18:17,975
They do that one during the Masters live.
321
00:18:17,975 --> 00:18:19,654
So live from the Ryder Cup.
322
00:18:19,654 --> 00:18:20,055
Right?
323
00:18:20,055 --> 00:18:21,975
That's what it I was blanking on the name of
it.
324
00:18:21,975 --> 00:18:22,695
Didn't write it down.
325
00:18:23,609 --> 00:18:28,730
But they're doing such a phenomenal job and
they've got all the shots and everything.
326
00:18:28,730 --> 00:18:34,809
So I feel like if there is one that should get
a shout-out, it's that particular show.
327
00:18:34,809 --> 00:18:35,289
Totally agree.
328
00:18:35,875 --> 00:18:36,515
100%.
329
00:18:36,515 --> 00:18:38,275
And I enjoy watching it.
330
00:18:38,275 --> 00:18:44,514
So that's one to where I'm getting some
information from because I've been watching it
331
00:18:44,674 --> 00:18:48,514
every day leading up to this on Monday and then
today.
332
00:18:48,994 --> 00:18:55,579
And I will say, just the way that they have
structured this golf course, I just feel like
333
00:18:55,980 --> 00:18:57,899
we might be missing something.
334
00:18:58,299 --> 00:18:58,619
Yeah.
335
00:18:58,619 --> 00:18:58,940
No.
336
00:18:58,940 --> 00:19:01,500
I think it's always that feeling.
337
00:19:02,555 --> 00:19:11,274
It already exists now because the US team just
always has some sort of egotistical, prideful
338
00:19:12,555 --> 00:19:14,154
air about them.
339
00:19:14,970 --> 00:19:25,369
And, you know, the kind of homegrown,
grassroots movement kind of group, it has never
340
00:19:25,369 --> 00:19:26,730
existed on the American side.
341
00:19:26,730 --> 00:19:32,794
I mean, not since the '90s can you say that it
was a group of guys that were just grinders,
342
00:19:32,794 --> 00:19:34,234
veterans, yada yada yada.
343
00:19:34,234 --> 00:19:34,634
Like, no.
344
00:19:35,274 --> 00:19:39,914
That has been the European team for 25 years.
345
00:19:40,234 --> 00:19:40,474
Yeah.
346
00:19:40,474 --> 00:19:43,034
But you gotta remember, we used to dominate
347
00:19:43,194 --> 00:19:43,434
Oh, yeah.
348
00:19:43,570 --> 00:19:44,289
The Ryder Cup.
349
00:19:44,289 --> 00:19:44,930
Well, that's what I'm saying.
350
00:19:44,930 --> 00:19:46,769
Have so many more wins
351
00:19:47,009 --> 00:19:47,330
Yeah.
352
00:19:47,410 --> 00:19:49,250
Than the European side.
353
00:19:49,650 --> 00:19:54,690
But then all of a sudden, it became to where
Europe, like, united.
354
00:19:55,744 --> 00:20:01,345
Kind of weird to say, but they all came
together and they became a team and they built
355
00:20:01,345 --> 00:20:02,224
a culture.
356
00:20:02,785 --> 00:20:05,585
And that's one of the things that I do want to
show right now.
357
00:20:06,225 --> 00:20:12,670
Hopefully this comes through for everybody, but
this is the European, and this will actually I
358
00:20:12,670 --> 00:20:14,029
think this is, like, two minutes long.
359
00:20:14,029 --> 00:20:15,230
We may cut it short.
360
00:20:15,309 --> 00:20:25,595
But this one is a clip done by Luke Donald,
which I want to rave about Luke Donald and how
361
00:20:25,595 --> 00:20:31,355
good of a captain this guy is because he gets
it and he gets the details.
362
00:20:31,595 --> 00:20:36,075
And you're gonna see in this video the details,
and I'm gonna talk about some of the reasons
363
00:20:36,075 --> 00:20:37,275
why I think we're in trouble.
364
00:20:37,720 --> 00:20:38,759
I think the U.S.
365
00:20:38,759 --> 00:20:41,960
is in trouble, and some of it has to do with
things like this.
366
00:20:41,960 --> 00:20:42,920
Let's take a look.
367
00:20:43,400 --> 00:20:45,559
Welcome to our team facility.
368
00:20:45,640 --> 00:20:47,799
This has been custom made just for us.
369
00:20:47,799 --> 00:20:49,559
Come with me, and I'll show you around.
370
00:20:51,974 --> 00:20:55,815
It starts here with our four away wins.
371
00:20:55,815 --> 00:20:57,974
This is our inspiration this week.
372
00:20:57,974 --> 00:21:01,815
'87, '95, '04, 2012.
373
00:21:03,255 --> 00:21:04,214
Like, they put that on
374
00:21:04,214 --> 00:21:04,694
the wall?
375
00:21:04,694 --> 00:21:05,414
This is our gym.
376
00:21:05,414 --> 00:21:06,054
Like, that's so small.
377
00:21:06,054 --> 00:21:07,095
Recovery area.
378
00:21:07,690 --> 00:21:10,250
Never had one as big as this.
379
00:21:10,730 --> 00:21:11,609
Look at the size.
380
00:21:11,609 --> 00:21:12,970
I mean, the size of it's insane.
381
00:21:12,970 --> 00:21:14,890
It's a really, really important room.
382
00:21:14,970 --> 00:21:20,090
All the workouts they wanna do, all the
recovery, ice baths, we even have a sauna down
383
00:21:20,090 --> 00:21:20,490
there.
384
00:21:20,490 --> 00:21:23,434
Some guys might be playing five times this week
three days.
385
00:21:23,434 --> 00:21:24,075
That's a lot.
386
00:21:24,075 --> 00:21:27,034
So they need to be rested, recovered, and ready
to go.
387
00:21:28,555 --> 00:21:33,194
Our locker room, everything here is laid out.
388
00:21:33,835 --> 00:21:36,394
Little inspirations, Excelsior.
389
00:21:36,394 --> 00:21:38,460
It means ever upward.
390
00:21:38,460 --> 00:21:40,140
It's the New York state motto.
391
00:21:40,140 --> 00:21:42,059
Dude, I gotta pause it for a second.
392
00:21:42,220 --> 00:21:47,659
They took the New York motto and added it to
their stuff.
393
00:21:48,380 --> 00:21:51,914
Like, how smart is that?
394
00:21:51,914 --> 00:21:52,394
Get it.
395
00:21:52,394 --> 00:21:59,195
And then putting four dates on the wall as
they're walking through the hallway to where it
396
00:21:59,195 --> 00:22:01,755
is the four away Ryder Cup wins.
397
00:22:02,000 --> 00:22:07,440
Not just all the Ryder Cup wins that the
Europeans have had, but the four away ones to
398
00:22:07,440 --> 00:22:08,559
remind them.
399
00:22:09,279 --> 00:22:13,440
Just this stuff just is wild to me.
400
00:22:13,440 --> 00:22:18,545
Also, every locker is player caddie, player
caddie.
401
00:22:18,545 --> 00:22:19,664
We are one unit.
402
00:22:19,664 --> 00:22:20,545
We are together.
403
00:22:20,545 --> 00:22:24,625
And while they're getting their stuff ready,
getting ready to go on the golf course, they
404
00:22:24,625 --> 00:22:26,304
can look at their wall of history.
405
00:22:26,625 --> 00:22:30,305
This is again an ode to all those times that we
have won away.
406
00:22:33,200 --> 00:22:37,119
Down here we have some quiet rooms.
407
00:22:37,440 --> 00:22:37,919
A couple of
408
00:22:38,000 --> 00:22:39,279
They got bedrooms in there.
409
00:22:39,279 --> 00:22:39,679
Bedrooms.
410
00:22:39,679 --> 00:22:40,159
This
411
00:22:41,119 --> 00:22:42,159
is a busy week.
412
00:22:42,159 --> 00:22:43,519
There's a lot going on.
413
00:22:44,799 --> 00:22:45,440
Four beds.
414
00:22:47,404 --> 00:22:50,765
This is our team dining area and our lounge
area.
415
00:22:50,765 --> 00:22:52,365
It's family oriented.
416
00:22:52,365 --> 00:22:57,644
We thought about all the little details to make
these guys be able to perform at their highest.
417
00:22:58,730 --> 00:23:03,210
But now let's go to my very favorite room, the
dressing room.
418
00:23:08,809 --> 00:23:10,650
This is our inspiration again.
419
00:23:12,164 --> 00:23:16,964
Our four shirts from our four away wins.
420
00:23:17,684 --> 00:23:20,884
This is a really important room for us.
421
00:23:20,884 --> 00:23:26,240
We will gather here, swap ideas, and be very
focused about what we want to achieve this
422
00:23:26,240 --> 00:23:26,799
week.
423
00:23:27,200 --> 00:23:31,039
And each player above their locker says, our
time, our place.
424
00:23:31,440 --> 00:23:32,720
That is our motivation.
425
00:23:32,720 --> 00:23:33,919
That is our theme.
426
00:23:34,240 --> 00:23:38,240
And the last inspiration that they will see
before they head out to the range, out to the
427
00:23:38,240 --> 00:23:39,994
golf course is this.
428
00:23:39,994 --> 00:23:41,354
This is your time.
429
00:23:41,514 --> 00:23:42,714
This is your place.
430
00:23:42,714 --> 00:23:47,034
It's their time to make history in New York,
and we'll be ready.
431
00:23:53,700 --> 00:23:54,900
I tell you what.
432
00:23:54,900 --> 00:23:58,339
This is one of the things where you sit there
and you look at, yeah, you know the music and
433
00:23:58,339 --> 00:24:01,220
that's cool and, you know, it was pretty well
scripted and whatnot.
434
00:24:01,220 --> 00:24:04,500
But this is what people need to understand why
the U.S.
435
00:24:04,500 --> 00:24:11,374
team continues to just not get it, is that this
is a team event.
436
00:24:11,694 --> 00:24:16,575
The better you play does not make, like, that's
great.
437
00:24:16,575 --> 00:24:21,134
You can play all you want by yourself and be
the best player that's ever lived.
438
00:24:21,769 --> 00:24:26,409
But if you do not play well as a team, you will
not win.
439
00:24:26,569 --> 00:24:28,730
And that is universally true.
440
00:24:28,730 --> 00:24:30,089
It's so beautiful.
441
00:24:30,089 --> 00:24:33,129
But I would love to see if there if it exists.
442
00:24:33,450 --> 00:24:36,304
I don't know if Keegan's the type of guy do
that.
443
00:24:36,785 --> 00:24:40,065
I love Keegan to death, but he is definitely
socially awkward.
444
00:24:40,384 --> 00:24:44,545
I know he's fiery, so maybe it'll get a little
bit jumpy during, you know, when it comes game
445
00:24:44,545 --> 00:24:47,184
time, since he's not playing.
446
00:24:47,424 --> 00:24:55,359
But that entire European team would go and put
their hearts on the line for that guy.
447
00:24:55,599 --> 00:25:01,039
And I don't believe there's a single person on
the U.S.
448
00:25:01,039 --> 00:25:03,519
team that could say that they would do that for
Keegan.
449
00:25:04,904 --> 00:25:07,864
The details are what get me on that whole
thing.
450
00:25:08,744 --> 00:25:20,070
And I'm like, I just could not wrap my head
around the fact that every little detail was
451
00:25:20,070 --> 00:25:26,789
covered and the motivation, the little details
of motivation, those matter.
452
00:25:26,869 --> 00:25:33,785
Like, those are the things that are the 1%
differences that make that change and they're
453
00:25:33,785 --> 00:25:35,384
in a hostile environment.
454
00:25:36,184 --> 00:25:44,505
But to make it that detailed, that
motivational, that comfortable because that
455
00:25:44,505 --> 00:25:47,065
looks like a place that I would wanna hang out
like during the week.
456
00:25:47,359 --> 00:25:51,759
Austin Whittington says a lot of thought was
put into that European team headquarters.
457
00:25:51,759 --> 00:25:52,640
It really was.
458
00:25:53,119 --> 00:25:56,799
And so, yes, Keegan Bradley, fiery, like you
said.
459
00:25:57,039 --> 00:25:57,920
Very motivational.
460
00:25:57,920 --> 00:26:03,154
Like, I heard something, they had his voice
over on something on a clip.
461
00:26:03,234 --> 00:26:07,474
I did not grab that one because it was just, it
was a motivational clip.
462
00:26:07,474 --> 00:26:10,274
Like that's where Keegan Bradley is gonna come
into play.
463
00:26:10,355 --> 00:26:13,794
The fan base is going to come and play as well
for the U.S.
464
00:26:13,794 --> 00:26:14,115
team.
465
00:26:14,590 --> 00:26:17,630
The New Yorkers need to be huge this week.
466
00:26:18,110 --> 00:26:22,670
I know why they did the pricing of the tickets
the way that they did.
467
00:26:23,309 --> 00:26:29,470
And there is a fear that you're gonna get a
bunch of hecklers out there that are out of
468
00:26:29,470 --> 00:26:29,869
control.
469
00:26:30,615 --> 00:26:36,375
And they've been asked about it and they have
thought about it like it's at the top of the
470
00:26:36,375 --> 00:26:42,134
mind for the PGA to make sure that security is
in place, like they've got everything so it
471
00:26:42,134 --> 00:26:43,335
doesn't get out of hand.
472
00:26:44,109 --> 00:26:49,309
New Yorkers have a tendency that things can get
a little bit out of hand, but they are great
473
00:26:49,549 --> 00:26:51,469
fans at the end of the day.
474
00:26:51,470 --> 00:26:54,190
Like, they know the line not to cross.
475
00:26:54,190 --> 00:26:58,829
I don't think the pricing should've dictated
that in my opinion.
476
00:26:59,975 --> 00:27:05,654
But at the same time, it's like, we need the
New York crowd because that's the difference
477
00:27:05,654 --> 00:27:06,375
maker.
478
00:27:06,375 --> 00:27:09,974
That's the one that the Europeans will not have
out there.
479
00:27:09,975 --> 00:27:12,695
Like, New York, we gotta show up.
480
00:27:12,695 --> 00:27:13,735
That's in a big way.
481
00:27:14,080 --> 00:27:15,359
So that's the thing, right?
482
00:27:15,359 --> 00:27:22,960
It's like the assumptions that that the US team
are making, it just that's not a world that
483
00:27:22,960 --> 00:27:24,880
that's not a world that I'm familiar with.
484
00:27:24,880 --> 00:27:28,640
The assumptions are the things that that kill
you in the end because you get them wrong.
485
00:27:28,964 --> 00:27:29,444
Yeah.
486
00:27:29,444 --> 00:27:29,924
What does he say?
487
00:27:29,924 --> 00:27:33,764
Kyle over at Card Barn Guy says, that's what
five Billys meant.
488
00:27:33,765 --> 00:27:35,525
He's got $500 on Euro.
489
00:27:35,525 --> 00:27:36,164
There you go.
490
00:27:36,164 --> 00:27:37,684
And I don't blame him.
491
00:27:37,684 --> 00:27:45,509
I mean, everything that I have seen and just
like, the gut instinct really has been around
492
00:27:45,509 --> 00:27:51,509
the Europeans being this team that is going to
take it this year and go into Bethpage, the
493
00:27:51,509 --> 00:27:54,230
hostile territory, and beat the U.S.
494
00:27:54,230 --> 00:27:54,549
Team.
495
00:27:54,549 --> 00:27:55,589
Let's bring on Buttsy.
496
00:27:55,589 --> 00:27:56,710
He finally has made it.
497
00:27:56,835 --> 00:28:00,114
Before when he was trying to jump in, he said
he was still in the car.
498
00:28:00,355 --> 00:28:02,115
So he was trying to jump in from the car.
499
00:28:02,115 --> 00:28:03,474
Let's see where he's at now.
500
00:28:04,115 --> 00:28:04,515
Oh.
501
00:28:04,515 --> 00:28:09,954
Mister Buttsy, he has joined the podcast.
502
00:28:09,954 --> 00:28:10,914
Here we oh, no.
503
00:28:11,075 --> 00:28:11,954
He's having issues.
504
00:28:13,109 --> 00:28:14,630
Gonna get him one of those rock four.
505
00:28:14,549 --> 00:28:21,509
He's got the Sugarloaf hat on.
506
00:28:21,829 --> 00:28:22,230
Wow.
507
00:28:22,230 --> 00:28:23,430
Looking sharp, buddy.
508
00:28:23,430 --> 00:28:24,470
Looking sharp.
509
00:28:24,630 --> 00:28:25,190
Hey, guys.
510
00:28:25,190 --> 00:28:26,710
Sorry I'm late.
511
00:28:28,205 --> 00:28:29,005
Oh, good.
512
00:28:29,005 --> 00:28:32,684
We've been getting into all of this Ryder Cup
stuff.
513
00:28:32,684 --> 00:28:41,880
We just watched a video that Luke Donald took
the European Ryder Cup video staff through
514
00:28:41,880 --> 00:28:45,079
their headquarters that they've built at
Bethpage Black.
515
00:28:45,400 --> 00:28:46,440
And it is phenomenal.
516
00:28:46,440 --> 00:28:49,000
There was not a detail that was missed.
517
00:28:49,000 --> 00:28:55,000
He even put Excelsior, which is the New York
state motto, on their golf bags and on their
518
00:28:55,845 --> 00:29:02,884
different pieces to wear motivation in the
hallways of the headquarters, but see, he put
519
00:29:02,884 --> 00:29:08,724
the four years that they won Ryder Cups away
from home.
520
00:29:09,690 --> 00:29:15,049
I'm like, dude, this guy did not miss a single
detail of motivation for his team.
521
00:29:15,769 --> 00:29:18,569
Luke Donald and team Europe.
522
00:29:20,169 --> 00:29:22,730
You look like you are U.S.
523
00:29:22,730 --> 00:29:23,210
ready.
524
00:29:23,714 --> 00:29:26,515
We had to help him win the war, alright?
525
00:29:26,515 --> 00:29:31,474
And now, we're gonna beat the pants off him
just like we did when we dumped a bunch of tea
526
00:29:31,474 --> 00:29:32,434
off the boat.
527
00:29:33,474 --> 00:29:35,234
The good old Boston Tea Party.
528
00:29:35,234 --> 00:29:36,755
Is that a reference to that?
529
00:29:37,330 --> 00:29:38,130
Could be.
530
00:29:38,130 --> 00:29:38,849
Okay.
531
00:29:39,170 --> 00:29:42,529
Pretty solid history buff, Mister Buttsy.
532
00:29:42,609 --> 00:29:42,769
Absolutely.
533
00:29:42,769 --> 00:29:49,009
Let's talk a little bit about—we talked about
the stadium setup.
534
00:29:49,009 --> 00:29:50,609
We talked about the New York fans.
535
00:29:50,914 --> 00:29:54,594
New York fans are probably gonna be the big
difference maker this week.
536
00:29:55,794 --> 00:30:02,434
They were very afraid, the PGA, in regards to
getting too rowdy of fans out there, which New
537
00:30:02,434 --> 00:30:04,274
Yorkers tend to be at times.
538
00:30:04,274 --> 00:30:07,680
But I feel like there's a line that New Yorkers
don't necessarily cross.
539
00:30:07,680 --> 00:30:10,960
Like, they're pretty smart sports fans at the
end of the day.
540
00:30:10,960 --> 00:30:13,200
But there was some fear with that.
541
00:30:13,200 --> 00:30:18,559
And I wonder, do you believe that the ticket
prices being so high were, like, one of the
542
00:30:18,559 --> 00:30:23,374
reasons was to not allow it to become too
rowdy?
543
00:30:24,255 --> 00:30:29,294
You're thinking it would just bring a different
demographic, like people that have money are
544
00:30:29,294 --> 00:30:32,575
more calm, so to speak, or know how to act more
proper, maybe?
545
00:30:34,859 --> 00:30:35,660
I don't know.
546
00:30:35,660 --> 00:30:37,660
Maybe if it wasn't the U.S.
547
00:30:37,660 --> 00:30:46,220
versus Team Europe, I think that may be the
deal breaker, the offsetter, where everybody in
548
00:30:46,220 --> 00:30:50,205
the crowd could be multimillionaires, and
they're still gonna be very loud and make sure
549
00:30:50,205 --> 00:30:51,644
they get in everybody's head.
550
00:30:52,445 --> 00:30:53,404
I like that.
551
00:30:53,404 --> 00:30:53,991
I like it.
552
00:30:53,991 --> 00:30:54,204
Yeah.
553
00:30:54,765 --> 00:30:55,964
What would you do?
554
00:30:56,684 --> 00:30:59,404
Listen, I would just allow them to come on in.
555
00:30:59,404 --> 00:31:02,045
Let's make it as rowdy as we possibly can.
556
00:31:02,045 --> 00:31:07,400
Obviously, there's lines that you don't want to
be crossed, but you do wanna get under the
557
00:31:07,400 --> 00:31:08,679
Europeans' skin.
558
00:31:08,679 --> 00:31:09,000
Yeah.
559
00:31:09,000 --> 00:31:12,119
And I think that would be great for Team USA.
560
00:31:12,119 --> 00:31:20,005
And again, that sixth man, so to speak, the fan
base in New York for Team USA, it's gonna be
561
00:31:20,005 --> 00:31:20,484
rowdy.
562
00:31:20,484 --> 00:31:21,525
It's gonna be great.
563
00:31:21,525 --> 00:31:29,365
And let me show you a little clip here that I
came across that the rowdiness is starting.
564
00:31:29,684 --> 00:31:32,804
Well, let's just put it that way as we take a
look at this one.
565
00:31:48,044 --> 00:31:54,764
There was no rowdiness like there outside of
the USA chant, and I mean, it's just good old
566
00:31:54,764 --> 00:31:57,484
fun there in New York in Bethpage.
567
00:31:57,484 --> 00:31:57,804
So
568
00:31:59,164 --> 00:31:59,565
don't know.
569
00:31:59,644 --> 00:32:03,609
Razzed for blading a wedge, and that's the type
of shit that should happen for sure.
570
00:32:03,609 --> 00:32:05,663
You should definitely get razzed for that.
571
00:32:05,663 --> 00:32:05,849
Yeah.
572
00:32:05,849 --> 00:32:13,049
I mean, there's every away event you go to,
you're gonna get you're gonna get crapped for
573
00:32:13,049 --> 00:32:13,369
hitting.
574
00:32:14,154 --> 00:32:16,315
I mean, shoot, even if you in every sport.
575
00:32:16,315 --> 00:32:16,448
Yeah.
576
00:32:16,448 --> 00:32:17,595
I mean, it's no different.
577
00:32:17,595 --> 00:32:18,714
An air ball in basketball.
578
00:32:18,714 --> 00:32:19,115
I
579
00:32:19,408 --> 00:32:19,755
A
580
00:32:19,755 --> 00:32:24,634
skull and I I think what's going to be
interesting about the dynamic, and I'll make
581
00:32:24,634 --> 00:32:28,394
this call now, I think there's going to be
something said about the PGA of America
582
00:32:28,394 --> 00:32:32,529
post-Ryder Cup, but we could talk about that
next week.
583
00:32:32,529 --> 00:32:37,410
But, I think it's just I think honestly, the
ticket price was something that they settled on
584
00:32:37,410 --> 00:32:41,089
because they just legitimately didn't want
everybody to come in.
585
00:32:41,650 --> 00:32:45,089
Because if everybody does come in, it's less
people it's more people that they'd have to
586
00:32:45,089 --> 00:32:48,875
control, and they just don't wanna have to deal
with that, especially with all the safety
587
00:32:48,875 --> 00:32:53,355
concerns over the last couple of years and then
everything that's happening politically as
588
00:32:53,355 --> 00:32:53,755
well.
589
00:32:54,235 --> 00:33:00,369
I mean, there's probably gonna be more cops at
Bethpage than there are in the entire freaking
590
00:33:00,369 --> 00:33:00,850
city.
591
00:33:00,850 --> 00:33:03,890
So, it's gonna be pretty crazy.
592
00:33:05,170 --> 00:33:06,369
I'm looking forward to it.
593
00:33:06,369 --> 00:33:08,769
I've been asked a lot, are you going back for
it?
594
00:33:08,769 --> 00:33:10,049
I'm like, absolutely not.
595
00:33:10,450 --> 00:33:10,769
No.
596
00:33:11,194 --> 00:33:11,914
No chance.
597
00:33:11,914 --> 00:33:14,954
I'm gonna watch this on TV, and I'm gonna love
watching it on TV.
598
00:33:14,954 --> 00:33:18,234
Well, I know our boys over at Devro are headed
out there in the morning.
599
00:33:18,234 --> 00:33:19,034
Oh yeah.
600
00:33:19,275 --> 00:33:20,315
That they are.
601
00:33:20,474 --> 00:33:21,674
Luck walks.
602
00:33:22,795 --> 00:33:23,994
They're not gonna have a bad time.
603
00:33:24,359 --> 00:33:25,079
No.
604
00:33:25,079 --> 00:33:25,880
They'll be fine.
605
00:33:25,880 --> 00:33:27,000
They'll be up in the stands.
606
00:33:27,000 --> 00:33:28,893
They're gonna have a great time out there.
607
00:33:29,799 --> 00:33:31,160
like I would love to be there.
608
00:33:31,640 --> 00:33:33,720
It would be something I would enjoy.
609
00:33:34,519 --> 00:33:41,375
One of the big things that I saw from we were
talking about the Golf Channel's live from the
610
00:33:41,375 --> 00:33:45,534
Ryder Cup and how good that's been this week so
far.
611
00:33:45,934 --> 00:33:50,815
But the one thing that stood out to me is the
stadium seating.
612
00:33:50,974 --> 00:33:56,920
They have built these massive stadium seatings
that kinda rival like the Waste Management
613
00:33:56,920 --> 00:33:58,119
Phoenix Open.
614
00:33:58,200 --> 00:33:59,960
And I'm like, oh, wow.
615
00:33:59,960 --> 00:34:05,240
Like, this would actually be really cool to go
out there, get a spot, and just post up for a
616
00:34:05,240 --> 00:34:05,559
little while.
617
00:34:05,559 --> 00:34:09,594
I don't know if it is all about like I wouldn't
want to walk around Bethpage.
618
00:34:09,594 --> 00:34:11,675
Bethpage is a long place to walk around.
619
00:34:11,675 --> 00:34:13,114
7,400 yards.
620
00:34:13,114 --> 00:34:15,034
You're going uphill, downhill.
621
00:34:15,194 --> 00:34:17,835
Like there's a lot of that going on.
622
00:34:19,114 --> 00:34:19,914
I've walked it.
623
00:34:20,859 --> 00:34:21,340
Gosh.
624
00:34:21,340 --> 00:34:22,940
I think I've walked it every time.
625
00:34:23,500 --> 00:34:24,780
If I'm not mistaken.
626
00:34:25,500 --> 00:34:28,380
I don't think I've ever taken no, I've taken a
cart a few times.
627
00:34:28,940 --> 00:34:29,739
I lied.
628
00:34:29,739 --> 00:34:37,735
So but it is a hilly course that I don't, as a
fan, I don't think I would wanna kinda try to
629
00:34:37,735 --> 00:34:38,934
walk every single hole.
630
00:34:38,934 --> 00:34:41,095
I'd definitely just be sitting up in the
stands.
631
00:34:41,095 --> 00:34:42,295
But the stands look pretty
632
00:34:42,454 --> 00:34:45,815
Find a comfy zone to spectate from for a couple
of hours.
633
00:34:46,349 --> 00:34:47,230
Exactly.
634
00:34:47,230 --> 00:34:48,269
I probably have a plan.
635
00:34:48,269 --> 00:34:48,430
Yeah.
636
00:34:48,430 --> 00:34:53,470
I mean, maybe, you know, we're gonna start over
here for the day and then after lunch, make our
637
00:34:53,470 --> 00:34:56,590
way, grab some food and then go over here, you
know, close it out.
638
00:34:56,829 --> 00:34:57,470
There you go.
639
00:34:58,985 --> 00:35:04,505
The next part that I wanna get into is actually
a nice little clip that Arnold Schwarzenegger
640
00:35:04,505 --> 00:35:05,465
sent over to us.
641
00:35:05,465 --> 00:35:07,465
So let's go ahead and take a look at that.
642
00:35:08,585 --> 00:35:09,945
Go Team USA.
643
00:35:09,945 --> 00:35:11,625
Fucking Ryder Cup, baby.
644
00:35:11,704 --> 00:35:12,664
Fuck you, Brandel.
645
00:35:12,664 --> 00:35:14,265
The boxer gonna love this one.
646
00:35:14,639 --> 00:35:15,359
Look at that.
647
00:35:15,359 --> 00:35:16,239
Fuck you.
648
00:35:16,559 --> 00:35:20,400
336 fucking yards of bots, Brandel.
649
00:35:20,400 --> 00:35:21,679
What do you think about that?
650
00:35:21,679 --> 00:35:23,039
Suck on this one.
651
00:35:23,039 --> 00:35:30,605
So I mean, incredible stuff from Arnold just,
you know, commenting and we do need to talk
652
00:35:30,605 --> 00:35:34,284
about Brandel Chamblee's comments on Bryson
DeChambeau.
653
00:35:34,284 --> 00:35:34,925
Oh, gosh.
654
00:35:34,925 --> 00:35:37,485
Because these were his exact words.
655
00:35:37,724 --> 00:35:42,444
He didn't talk about playing on a team and how
much that meant.
656
00:35:42,829 --> 00:35:47,710
What he did do was talk about his YouTube
channel, which if we want to talk about the
657
00:35:47,710 --> 00:35:50,829
numbers that are generated from that, it's
pretty dubious.
658
00:35:50,829 --> 00:35:54,430
I have no doubt that bots are generating a lot
of those views.
659
00:35:54,590 --> 00:35:59,025
There may be some interest as well, but that's
what he wants to talk about.
660
00:35:59,025 --> 00:36:01,425
Not the team, not the Ryder Cup.
661
00:36:01,425 --> 00:36:09,985
So let's get you just heard Arnold
Schwarzenegger talk about Bryson and what
662
00:36:09,985 --> 00:36:11,824
Bryson was thinking about Brandel.
663
00:36:12,690 --> 00:36:13,730
What do you guys think?
664
00:36:14,130 --> 00:36:18,210
Which side of the fence are you on with the
Brandel Chamblee versus Bryson on that?
665
00:36:18,289 --> 00:36:25,925
This sounds like something that somebody that
works in politics has written for them to say,
666
00:36:26,565 --> 00:36:28,724
like, this is gonna be perfect.
667
00:36:28,724 --> 00:36:33,045
This is about the most riled up thing that I
could possibly invent.
668
00:36:34,244 --> 00:36:39,980
And if they did, if that's the truth, you know,
call it Brandelgate if you want to, or Botgate.
669
00:36:39,980 --> 00:36:41,500
We'll call it Botgate.
670
00:36:42,699 --> 00:36:46,539
They did a great job because it's been on every
platform.
671
00:36:47,260 --> 00:36:49,500
You just were making videos about it.
672
00:36:49,500 --> 00:36:50,380
It's working.
673
00:36:50,380 --> 00:36:52,780
Whatever Brandel is saying is fucking working.
674
00:36:53,045 --> 00:36:55,125
So that's where I'm at with it.
675
00:36:55,125 --> 00:36:56,724
It almost sounds designed to me.
676
00:36:56,724 --> 00:37:01,204
I don't know that Brandel would really say that
he fucking cares about Bryson DeChambeau's
677
00:37:01,204 --> 00:37:01,765
bots.
678
00:37:01,844 --> 00:37:04,644
I don't even think Brandel knows what bots are.
679
00:37:04,644 --> 00:37:05,605
What a bot is.
680
00:37:05,605 --> 00:37:05,765
Yeah.
681
00:37:06,890 --> 00:37:11,930
I think that's the big miss by everybody that's
kinda picking a side in all of this.
682
00:37:12,170 --> 00:37:13,769
It was media-driven.
683
00:37:13,769 --> 00:37:19,849
It was meant to be taken as a hot take snippet,
and then everybody's gonna chime about it.
684
00:37:19,849 --> 00:37:23,635
But I have seen where just everybody's shitting
on Brandel for this one.
685
00:37:23,635 --> 00:37:29,474
Everybody's just like, dude, you clearly don't
understand that, like, Bryson is popular on
686
00:37:29,474 --> 00:37:30,195
YouTube.
687
00:37:30,195 --> 00:37:33,074
Like, that's not just bot-generated interest.
688
00:37:34,119 --> 00:37:34,519
Yeah.
689
00:37:34,519 --> 00:37:36,119
Just because he doesn't watch it.
690
00:37:36,119 --> 00:37:36,519
Yeah.
691
00:37:36,519 --> 00:37:39,960
That's why somebody fucking put that in front
of him and he read it.
692
00:37:39,960 --> 00:37:40,840
I don't know.
693
00:37:41,320 --> 00:37:42,039
That's what do
694
00:37:42,039 --> 00:37:43,160
you think, buddy?
695
00:37:43,639 --> 00:37:45,480
You're sitting there in shock.
696
00:37:45,880 --> 00:37:46,199
Yeah.
697
00:37:46,199 --> 00:37:49,065
I mean, I've listened to him talk.
698
00:37:49,065 --> 00:37:50,824
I've listened to Brandel talk in person.
699
00:37:50,824 --> 00:37:52,265
I've talked to him a few times.
700
00:37:52,585 --> 00:37:55,704
He definitely loves some from some Brandel
Chamblee.
701
00:37:55,704 --> 00:38:03,059
But, you know, the question you have to ask
yourself is, is what he's saying even remotely
702
00:38:03,059 --> 00:38:03,539
true?
703
00:38:03,539 --> 00:38:08,900
Did Bryson DeChambeau really not mention
anything about being on the team?
704
00:38:09,219 --> 00:38:16,135
Like, in all of his talks while he's doing
this, is it really like he's been completely
705
00:38:16,135 --> 00:38:18,055
devoid of any team talk?
706
00:38:18,135 --> 00:38:25,815
And if it's not as much as Brandel thinks it
is, then it just wouldn't matter even if it was
707
00:38:25,815 --> 00:38:26,375
close.
708
00:38:26,375 --> 00:38:31,010
He's just gonna be like, oh, well, he's a LIV
player, and he took blood money, and he's just
709
00:38:31,010 --> 00:38:35,170
a moral POS, and like, here's the stats on how
good.
710
00:38:35,250 --> 00:38:36,849
Like, I don't care.
711
00:38:37,090 --> 00:38:42,355
Like, be more of a pompous douchebag, please.
712
00:38:42,675 --> 00:38:51,155
Well, I will say, as I dipped my toe for the
very first time ever into a post that was
713
00:38:51,474 --> 00:38:59,760
apparently, because you can't have just like a
neutral opinion on something and be logical
714
00:38:59,760 --> 00:39:03,599
about it and have common sense, that you're
either one side or another.
715
00:39:03,920 --> 00:39:10,835
Well, Brandel very much so plays it like
politics to where like he's delusional on this
716
00:39:10,835 --> 00:39:11,315
one.
717
00:39:11,394 --> 00:39:14,675
Like, that isn't even a take that makes sense.
718
00:39:14,675 --> 00:39:18,914
Like, everybody's against him on it and it's
just like, what the hell are you trying to do
719
00:39:18,914 --> 00:39:25,300
other than just you get additional clicks and
social media coverage and views?
720
00:39:25,539 --> 00:39:29,540
Like, it's absolutely ridiculous and it's
delusional.
721
00:39:29,619 --> 00:39:30,180
Gonna find out
722
00:39:30,420 --> 00:39:30,980
everybody up.
723
00:39:30,980 --> 00:39:31,140
Yeah.
724
00:39:31,140 --> 00:39:33,860
He's gonna find out what bots are because
they're about to come for him.
725
00:39:34,464 --> 00:39:36,144
It's like politics, man.
726
00:39:36,144 --> 00:39:37,105
It is like politics.
727
00:39:37,105 --> 00:39:42,944
And golf has become—I didn't realize how
delusional.
728
00:39:42,944 --> 00:39:44,704
I thought it was just in golf.
729
00:39:45,025 --> 00:39:50,760
But apparently, like, this is a common theme
across different things that I didn't realize
730
00:39:50,760 --> 00:39:53,639
golf was as political as it is.
731
00:39:53,960 --> 00:39:56,920
But clearly, over time, we've realized that it
is.
732
00:39:57,000 --> 00:39:57,480
Oh, yeah.
733
00:39:57,480 --> 00:39:57,719
Yes.
734
00:39:57,719 --> 00:40:03,914
I mean, it's why it's like a perfect case study
to look at Xander and Scottie last year and
735
00:40:03,914 --> 00:40:07,034
notice that they never talked about any of the
changes.
736
00:40:07,034 --> 00:40:13,434
And yet Rory, Cantlay, Spieth, Thomas, all of
these great players were playing like crap.
737
00:40:13,514 --> 00:40:17,829
And Scottie and Xander pretty much walked away
with anything because they don't give a damn.
738
00:40:18,070 --> 00:40:23,750
And it's like, focus on golf, play great golf,
you make more money, that's great.
739
00:40:23,750 --> 00:40:28,784
You focus on politics, you don't play golf as
well, and your life is miserable.
740
00:40:28,784 --> 00:40:32,465
I mean, it's just terrible stuff.
741
00:40:33,105 --> 00:40:35,425
Buttsy, you look like you got something to say.
742
00:40:35,905 --> 00:40:38,545
Oh, I was just commenting on Brent's hand
signals because he goes.
743
00:40:45,380 --> 00:40:49,140
Here's Brandel's other comments on Bryson,
which goes even further.
744
00:40:49,140 --> 00:40:49,619
Right?
745
00:40:49,619 --> 00:40:51,780
It's and this is on him being a teammate.
746
00:40:52,155 --> 00:40:56,715
It's one of the reasons why I think he's going
to be such a difficult person to get paired
747
00:40:56,715 --> 00:40:57,275
with.
748
00:40:57,355 --> 00:40:59,515
No doubt, he's one hell of a golfer.
749
00:40:59,515 --> 00:41:03,275
No doubt, he has his moments and generosity
with fans.
750
00:41:03,275 --> 00:41:04,155
I've heard about it.
751
00:41:04,949 --> 00:41:11,109
But he's an odd duck when it comes to trying to
blend in with the team and he has so many
752
00:41:11,109 --> 00:41:16,070
potential bulletin board mistakes and I think
he would be a captain's nightmare.
753
00:41:17,765 --> 00:41:18,724
I don't know.
754
00:41:20,325 --> 00:41:20,724
I don't
755
00:41:20,724 --> 00:41:21,364
know, man.
756
00:41:21,364 --> 00:41:22,485
Don't know if that's played pretty
757
00:41:22,485 --> 00:41:23,765
well at Whistling Straits.
758
00:41:25,285 --> 00:41:27,765
I think he's a great Ryder Cup teammate.
759
00:41:27,765 --> 00:41:28,164
It's phenomenal.
760
00:41:28,679 --> 00:41:35,239
Once again, this kinda goes to the delusional
side to where it's like he's in LIV Golf.
761
00:41:35,239 --> 00:41:35,639
Yeah.
762
00:41:35,639 --> 00:41:36,599
And that's it.
763
00:41:36,920 --> 00:41:38,599
And he's bad.
764
00:41:38,760 --> 00:41:43,159
Like no matter what you're gonna label him
because he's a LIV Golf guy.
765
00:41:43,695 --> 00:41:46,494
I don't think the team has a problem with
Bryson DeChambeau.
766
00:41:46,494 --> 00:41:51,215
I haven't heard a single person talk negatively
about Bryson DeChambeau.
767
00:41:51,215 --> 00:41:55,055
And guess who he's got him paired up with, or
Keegan Bradley's got him paired up with?
768
00:41:55,869 --> 00:41:56,989
Justin Thomas.
769
00:41:56,989 --> 00:41:57,869
Justin Thomas.
770
00:41:57,869 --> 00:41:58,269
Yeah.
771
00:41:58,269 --> 00:41:59,789
Like, that's a perfect pairing.
772
00:41:59,789 --> 00:42:01,949
Like, JT doesn't have Jordan Spieth.
773
00:42:01,949 --> 00:42:05,150
He doesn't have, you know, Rickie Fowler.
774
00:42:05,469 --> 00:42:08,750
So it's like, yeah, pair them up with Bryson.
775
00:42:08,750 --> 00:42:10,349
Those two guys have huge egos.
776
00:42:10,349 --> 00:42:10,829
It doesn't matter.
777
00:42:11,175 --> 00:42:12,454
Like, pair them up together.
778
00:42:12,454 --> 00:42:13,175
They're not gonna, like
779
00:42:13,414 --> 00:42:16,295
They're gonna be they're gonna fucking fuel
each other's fire,
780
00:42:16,295 --> 00:42:16,614
dude.
781
00:42:16,614 --> 00:42:17,335
Exactly.
782
00:42:17,655 --> 00:42:17,974
Yeah.
783
00:42:17,974 --> 00:42:21,655
This whole this whole conversation about, you
know, what's the U.S.
784
00:42:21,655 --> 00:42:24,135
team really gonna do about this XYZ?
785
00:42:24,135 --> 00:42:29,059
I I just love the fact that there really hasn't
been much talk from the guys.
786
00:42:29,059 --> 00:42:35,619
Like, I remember, I think it was I think it was
Paris, you know, there or Italy where they were
787
00:42:35,619 --> 00:42:36,420
talking about the hats.
788
00:42:36,420 --> 00:42:36,660
Rome.
789
00:42:36,660 --> 00:42:37,380
Yeah.
790
00:42:37,380 --> 00:42:37,860
Was Italy.
791
00:42:37,860 --> 00:42:38,420
So so it was Rome.
792
00:42:39,025 --> 00:42:43,744
They were talking about the hats and all this
issue with with the Netflix thing, and it just,
793
00:42:43,744 --> 00:42:50,625
like, there's, like, everybody's kinda just
closed ranks, and it's been it's been beautiful
794
00:42:50,625 --> 00:42:57,099
to see just a one one solid mind coming from
the captaincy, which is great.
795
00:42:57,099 --> 00:43:03,660
I mean, if if you go to you go back to Rome two
years ago, Patrick Cantlay was all the talk and
796
00:43:03,660 --> 00:43:07,180
and all the controversy about not wearing a
hat.
797
00:43:07,695 --> 00:43:11,775
So, like, why isn't that part of the
conversation coming into this year?
798
00:43:11,855 --> 00:43:15,295
Don't hear a word about Patty Ice because the
team likes him.
799
00:43:15,295 --> 00:43:16,815
Team doesn't have a problem with him.
800
00:43:16,815 --> 00:43:18,255
Same thing with Bryson.
801
00:43:18,255 --> 00:43:18,815
Yeah.
802
00:43:18,815 --> 00:43:19,535
Exactly.
803
00:43:19,775 --> 00:43:26,489
So, I mean, I don't get it from Brandel other
than obviously playing it like politics to
804
00:43:26,489 --> 00:43:28,090
where he's bad.
805
00:43:28,250 --> 00:43:29,210
I'm good.
806
00:43:29,690 --> 00:43:31,130
This is what it is.
807
00:43:31,130 --> 00:43:33,369
And this is the only way to view it.
808
00:43:33,369 --> 00:43:38,645
So it's just unfortunately for Brandel, he's on
the wrong side on these.
809
00:43:38,965 --> 00:43:41,045
He loves and I think he loves that.
810
00:43:41,045 --> 00:43:41,765
Oh, yeah.
811
00:43:42,164 --> 00:43:43,125
He absolutely does.
812
00:43:43,125 --> 00:43:44,965
I think we all agree he loves that.
813
00:43:44,965 --> 00:43:48,644
He loves being the guy that says the
controversial thing.
814
00:43:48,644 --> 00:43:49,684
I mean, always has.
815
00:43:50,319 --> 00:43:57,440
You know, when Tiger was going through his
thing and even into the 2018, 2019 season, he
816
00:43:57,440 --> 00:44:00,239
was talking a bunch of mess and Tiger talked
mess.
817
00:44:00,239 --> 00:44:04,799
Wrong and then he talks crap about Scottie and
Scottie proves him wrong.
818
00:44:04,799 --> 00:44:07,824
It's just this Brandel loves being the guy.
819
00:44:07,824 --> 00:44:08,384
Exactly.
820
00:44:08,384 --> 00:44:09,184
Thank you, Trot.
821
00:44:09,184 --> 00:44:14,464
Brandel is lighting the fire and unfortunately
for Brandel at this day and age, he's getting a
822
00:44:14,464 --> 00:44:20,304
little bit long in the tooth and I think
everybody's getting a little bit over how he
823
00:44:20,304 --> 00:44:20,464
is.
824
00:44:21,050 --> 00:44:22,570
You look dumb.
825
00:44:22,570 --> 00:44:23,289
Exactly.
826
00:44:24,250 --> 00:44:28,730
I can't stop staring at that Sugarloaf hat from
DevRo.
827
00:44:28,730 --> 00:44:29,929
That visor Buttsy.
828
00:44:29,929 --> 00:44:31,130
That thing is great.
829
00:44:31,210 --> 00:44:32,489
It's very American.
830
00:44:32,489 --> 00:44:33,769
Very American.
831
00:44:33,769 --> 00:44:34,543
I love it.
832
00:44:34,543 --> 00:44:35,050
That's awesome.
833
00:44:35,050 --> 00:44:37,635
I like the script on it.
834
00:44:37,635 --> 00:44:38,595
It's pretty solid.
835
00:44:38,914 --> 00:44:40,114
Very solid.
836
00:44:40,114 --> 00:44:41,155
Thanks, dude.
837
00:44:41,315 --> 00:44:47,715
The other side to this is that, you know, what
Patrick Cantlay was complaining about, and it
838
00:44:47,715 --> 00:44:52,849
kinda got tucked away very quickly after the
report came out about him not wearing a hat
839
00:44:52,849 --> 00:44:54,289
because he wasn't being paid.
840
00:44:54,289 --> 00:44:55,730
The U.S.
841
00:44:55,730 --> 00:44:57,089
team got paid this year.
842
00:44:57,569 --> 00:45:03,170
So, they're getting paid about the same amount,
which I do not know what that is, that they're
843
00:45:03,170 --> 00:45:04,449
getting paid for the Presidents Cup.
844
00:45:04,744 --> 00:45:09,144
So do you guys think this is a good thing, bad
thing, or indifferent in regards to these guys
845
00:45:09,144 --> 00:45:10,105
getting paid?
846
00:45:10,184 --> 00:45:13,864
Europe, the players decided they didn't want to
be paid.
847
00:45:14,184 --> 00:45:16,505
They wanted to do this without being paid.
848
00:45:16,920 --> 00:45:19,319
So that's enough right there.
849
00:45:19,319 --> 00:45:19,880
Right?
850
00:45:20,599 --> 00:45:24,920
Like, it's for honor, and that's how they'll
kind of probably frame that for honor and
851
00:45:24,920 --> 00:45:26,839
country, and it's not about the money.
852
00:45:26,839 --> 00:45:27,960
I mean, I don't know.
853
00:45:29,335 --> 00:45:33,574
It could be for honor and country and all that,
and if you wanna throw me a few bucks too,
854
00:45:33,574 --> 00:45:34,855
great, like, for the effort.
855
00:45:34,855 --> 00:45:36,375
I mean, I don't know.
856
00:45:36,375 --> 00:45:37,655
That wouldn't bother me.
857
00:45:37,735 --> 00:45:39,335
You don't think it changes anything?
858
00:45:40,934 --> 00:45:42,614
Not to a person like me.
859
00:45:42,614 --> 00:45:43,974
Now, that's how I think.
860
00:45:44,610 --> 00:45:49,890
Don't know if 90 percent of the rest of the
world shares that viewpoint.
861
00:45:49,890 --> 00:45:53,329
Probably not, but it doesn't bother me.
862
00:45:53,970 --> 00:45:55,329
Brent, what about you?
863
00:45:55,329 --> 00:46:01,914
I mean, as a professional golfer, having an
honor of going and playing in the Ryder Cup
864
00:46:02,074 --> 00:46:03,195
I mean, they need the money.
865
00:46:03,195 --> 00:46:03,434
They need
866
00:46:03,515 --> 00:46:09,914
Do you think that they need to put food on the
table for their families by playing in the
867
00:46:09,914 --> 00:46:10,394
Ryder Cup?
868
00:46:10,910 --> 00:46:11,869
It just shows.
869
00:46:11,869 --> 00:46:13,390
It just shows exactly.
870
00:46:13,390 --> 00:46:21,710
I mean, all of the satire and the facetiousness
aside, like, the sarcasm that you could throw
871
00:46:21,710 --> 00:46:27,164
at this because it's just ridiculous that these
guys are still talking about how much they're
872
00:46:27,164 --> 00:46:27,964
getting paid.
873
00:46:28,684 --> 00:46:35,244
Just shows you that this whole idea of putting
on the stars and stripes to them, to this group
874
00:46:35,244 --> 00:46:37,005
of players, they don't care.
875
00:46:37,650 --> 00:46:43,090
And to me, personally, and it's totally, you
know, I'll own it as my own personal bias.
876
00:46:43,329 --> 00:46:45,569
My family has fought and bled for this country.
877
00:46:45,569 --> 00:46:49,889
If I was given the honor to put on the stars
and stripes, I would pay to do it.
878
00:46:50,130 --> 00:46:55,815
You, I've, shoot, I'd play the whole European
team by myself if I was wearing the American
879
00:46:55,815 --> 00:46:56,135
flag.
880
00:46:56,135 --> 00:46:56,295
I
881
00:46:56,295 --> 00:46:57,974
don't I don't think that'd work out well for
you.
882
00:46:57,974 --> 00:46:59,734
But the point is, like, is like
883
00:46:59,815 --> 00:47:01,414
You'd show up in a Higgins boat.
884
00:47:01,414 --> 00:47:02,295
Like, literally.
885
00:47:02,295 --> 00:47:04,230
Like, it's just like, I don't care.
886
00:47:04,309 --> 00:47:07,269
And it's, it's this, the whole idea is like
kinda what I was saying earlier.
887
00:47:07,269 --> 00:47:12,630
It was like, the guys in the '90s and early
2000s, those were just a bunch of just crusty,
888
00:47:12,630 --> 00:47:17,085
salty veterans that just loved the idea of
beating the living crap out of the European
889
00:47:17,085 --> 00:47:17,565
team.
890
00:47:17,565 --> 00:47:21,965
The American team now is a bunch of playboys
that just want to get out there and want to be
891
00:47:21,965 --> 00:47:25,644
shown so it grows their brand and show how cool
they are.
892
00:47:25,644 --> 00:47:27,244
But oh, it's the star of
893
00:47:27,244 --> 00:47:27,565
the stripe.
894
00:47:27,565 --> 00:47:31,559
Scottie Scheffler is a playboy that wants to
show off his brand?
895
00:47:31,559 --> 00:47:36,200
I think if Scottie Scheffler, I think if
Scottie Scheffler takes the check, I think
896
00:47:36,200 --> 00:47:38,599
he's, I think he's dishonoring the stars and
stripes.
897
00:47:38,599 --> 00:47:38,840
Yeah.
898
00:47:38,840 --> 00:47:39,480
I do.
899
00:47:40,119 --> 00:47:40,920
Oh, you okay.
900
00:47:40,920 --> 00:47:44,440
So you're saying if you find it dishonorable to
take the money offered?
901
00:47:44,680 --> 00:47:45,079
100%.
902
00:47:45,965 --> 00:47:47,085
So I'm also waiting too.
903
00:47:47,164 --> 00:47:48,445
You might have missed it a few minutes ago.
904
00:47:48,445 --> 00:47:52,045
He said it was $200K, and he heard that Patty
Ice donated
905
00:47:52,204 --> 00:47:52,605
Hope he did.
906
00:47:52,605 --> 00:47:53,324
All to charity.
907
00:47:53,324 --> 00:47:54,364
I hope he did.
908
00:47:54,684 --> 00:48:01,910
Listen, I'm not against them getting paid, but
it definitely leads to a narrative that the
909
00:48:01,910 --> 00:48:03,349
Europeans turned it down.
910
00:48:03,910 --> 00:48:09,510
And once again, these little edges that the
European team gets
911
00:48:09,670 --> 00:48:10,309
Thank you.
912
00:48:10,550 --> 00:48:13,990
Even little narratives like this, they play.
913
00:48:14,390 --> 00:48:15,190
And guess what?
914
00:48:16,265 --> 00:48:21,385
There might be a sly comment that comes out in
the middle of a match that kinda sets somebody
915
00:48:21,385 --> 00:48:22,105
off.
916
00:48:22,105 --> 00:48:22,664
You know?
917
00:48:22,664 --> 00:48:28,744
There's like these little digs that can happen
and who knows what ends up coming from this.
918
00:48:28,744 --> 00:48:35,219
But I will say this, Luke Donald with
everything they did, all the details that they
919
00:48:35,219 --> 00:48:40,340
did for that European headquarters, then you
even have narratives like this.
920
00:48:40,500 --> 00:48:46,684
Everything is pointing towards the European
team this year and that's gotta just absolutely
921
00:48:46,684 --> 00:48:54,364
bug three Americans on this show that are
having to talk about how well the Europeans are
922
00:48:54,364 --> 00:48:55,005
doing it right now.
923
00:48:55,690 --> 00:49:00,329
They should just pool all their money that they
get from it and use it to get the Statue of
924
00:49:00,329 --> 00:49:01,849
Liberty cleaned, you
925
00:49:01,849 --> 00:49:02,250
know?
926
00:49:02,969 --> 00:49:03,449
Yes.
927
00:49:03,449 --> 00:49:04,410
Maybe something like that.
928
00:49:04,410 --> 00:49:06,010
Just donate it to the city.
929
00:49:06,010 --> 00:49:06,570
Just donate it.
930
00:49:06,570 --> 00:49:07,769
I mean, or like,
931
00:49:08,984 --> 00:49:15,144
show up with a statue painted red, white and
blue of Rory McIlroy crying but have it just be
932
00:49:15,144 --> 00:49:16,664
$300.
933
00:49:17,304 --> 00:49:18,344
Not like a real one.
934
00:49:18,344 --> 00:49:19,224
Like a real one.
935
00:49:19,224 --> 00:49:19,864
That'd be genius.
936
00:49:20,070 --> 00:49:20,309
Yeah.
937
00:49:20,309 --> 00:49:21,190
Like, at the course.
938
00:49:21,190 --> 00:49:21,829
That's the thing.
939
00:49:21,829 --> 00:49:22,070
Right?
940
00:49:22,070 --> 00:49:26,630
I mean, like, you look at how all this ends up
breaking down, and you're just like, oh, okay.
941
00:49:26,630 --> 00:49:30,230
So the Americans are whining about how much
they're getting paid again.
942
00:49:30,550 --> 00:49:32,710
And you're like, oh, they donated it to
charity.
943
00:49:32,710 --> 00:49:33,670
That's great.
944
00:49:33,829 --> 00:49:33,989
Like,
945
00:49:34,505 --> 00:49:36,505
know what they should have donated it to?
946
00:49:36,585 --> 00:49:37,545
To the beers.
947
00:49:37,545 --> 00:49:42,585
Andrew brings up here on YouTube that, how
about those beer prices laugh out loud?
948
00:49:42,664 --> 00:49:47,465
Let's donate some of that money and get these
guys loaded up early in the day.
949
00:49:47,704 --> 00:49:48,425
That's smart.
950
00:49:48,869 --> 00:49:49,509
Yeah.
951
00:49:49,509 --> 00:49:50,469
I mean, shoot.
952
00:49:50,469 --> 00:49:52,789
That would be bet and talk about the storyline.
953
00:49:52,789 --> 00:49:54,389
All of a sudden, the narrative shifts.
954
00:49:54,549 --> 00:49:59,190
USA team just donated all their money to beer
for all the patrons.
955
00:49:59,349 --> 00:50:04,804
So what do you guys think about because I think
it was Rory that said that this narrative may
956
00:50:04,804 --> 00:50:07,684
turn some of the New York crowd against him.
957
00:50:07,684 --> 00:50:11,204
This idea that they, you know, that they took
the money and that they you know, I mean, the
958
00:50:11,204 --> 00:50:16,869
New York crowd doesn't I mean, if you go in a
wrong direction, it's not like they stay super
959
00:50:16,869 --> 00:50:18,230
happy with you all the time.
960
00:50:18,230 --> 00:50:20,949
Like, if you piss them off, even just the The
New
961
00:50:20,949 --> 00:50:22,070
Yorkers are loyal though.
962
00:50:22,070 --> 00:50:25,349
They're they're not they are not going for the
European team.
963
00:50:25,349 --> 00:50:26,309
Quick to boo.
964
00:50:26,630 --> 00:50:27,909
Well, boo, for sure.
965
00:50:28,265 --> 00:50:29,704
Let's just play this out.
966
00:50:29,704 --> 00:50:34,105
Let's just say we're on the fourth tee box and
there's a huge crowd and all the New Yorkers
967
00:50:34,105 --> 00:50:34,825
are there.
968
00:50:35,224 --> 00:50:39,385
I just don't think that these guys are gonna be
like, fuck this team, they took the money.
969
00:50:40,280 --> 00:50:42,440
There might be some New Yorkers that say
970
00:50:42,760 --> 00:50:44,119
gonna root for the I'm leaving.
971
00:50:44,119 --> 00:50:45,239
I'm gonna sell my tickets.
972
00:50:45,239 --> 00:50:46,199
These guys took the money.
973
00:50:46,199 --> 00:50:47,159
I'm fucking leaving.
974
00:50:47,159 --> 00:50:49,800
Like, they don't give a fuck.
975
00:50:49,800 --> 00:50:53,480
You gotta think about what the international
presence in New York though.
976
00:50:53,480 --> 00:50:54,984
It's not like, I mean
977
00:50:55,144 --> 00:50:56,425
They can't afford the tickets.
978
00:50:56,425 --> 00:50:58,664
That's what the Americans can't afford the
tickets.
979
00:50:58,664 --> 00:51:00,425
The international people can't.
980
00:51:00,505 --> 00:51:01,545
That's the thing.
981
00:51:02,824 --> 00:51:04,344
Oh, shit, dude.
982
00:51:04,344 --> 00:51:04,824
Might be right.
983
00:51:04,824 --> 00:51:07,784
I wonder how big of a crowd will be there
supporting Europe.
984
00:51:07,784 --> 00:51:08,744
I'm just saying we're gonna
985
00:51:08,744 --> 00:51:09,224
find out.
986
00:51:09,449 --> 00:51:10,089
It's because
987
00:51:10,089 --> 00:51:13,849
I mean, New York City is a melting pot of
international people.
988
00:51:13,929 --> 00:51:17,769
The assumption that the whole New York crowd,
you might be right back.
989
00:51:18,809 --> 00:51:23,609
You might be, because it's the United States,
and you got all these flag burners now, like,
990
00:51:23,609 --> 00:51:28,934
might have a bunch of Americans out there that
are just rooting for Europe out of spite.
991
00:51:29,494 --> 00:51:30,934
God, let's hope not.
992
00:51:31,094 --> 00:51:31,815
I hope we don't
993
00:51:31,815 --> 00:51:32,295
see it.
994
00:51:32,295 --> 00:51:32,855
We're not gonna.
995
00:51:32,695 --> 00:51:33,655
I think we will.
996
00:51:35,175 --> 00:51:37,735
Like, still a holy grail there, so I don't
think we'll see that.
997
00:51:37,735 --> 00:51:40,309
But, goddamn.
998
00:51:40,550 --> 00:51:42,469
Can you imagine the amount of fights going on?
999
00:51:42,469 --> 00:51:43,269
Somebody's
1000
00:51:44,070 --> 00:51:44,630
Right outside
1001
00:51:44,710 --> 00:51:46,230
there's a good one.
1002
00:51:46,309 --> 00:51:47,670
Will there be a fight?
1003
00:51:48,070 --> 00:51:48,950
Absolutely.
1004
00:51:49,750 --> 00:51:50,469
In New York?
1005
00:51:51,605 --> 00:51:52,565
Absolutely.
1006
00:51:52,804 --> 00:51:53,925
It's a good question.
1007
00:51:54,164 --> 00:51:56,244
Will there be a fight on the grounds?
1008
00:51:57,764 --> 00:51:59,284
Over under three.
1009
00:51:59,844 --> 00:52:01,045
Three fights?
1010
00:52:01,045 --> 00:52:01,844
Okay.
1011
00:52:02,565 --> 00:52:03,204
You might?
1012
00:52:03,969 --> 00:52:05,329
Oh, shit.
1013
00:52:05,329 --> 00:52:06,210
That's a three.
1014
00:52:06,210 --> 00:52:07,090
I'll say one.
1015
00:52:07,090 --> 00:52:07,490
No.
1016
00:52:07,730 --> 00:52:09,250
I'm going, I'm saying over under.
1017
00:52:09,250 --> 00:52:10,849
I mean, if you go one, you're under.
1018
00:52:10,849 --> 00:52:11,809
You're on the under.
1019
00:52:11,890 --> 00:52:12,130
Yeah.
1020
00:52:12,130 --> 00:52:13,329
That's the Vegas odds.
1021
00:52:13,329 --> 00:52:14,210
Vegas odds are
1022
00:52:14,449 --> 00:52:15,410
That's what Vegas said.
1023
00:52:15,410 --> 00:52:16,449
They literally put that out.
1024
00:52:16,449 --> 00:52:17,969
It has to be a reported fight too.
1025
00:52:19,134 --> 00:52:20,655
Otherwise, it didn't happen.
1026
00:52:20,894 --> 00:52:21,214
So
1027
00:52:21,375 --> 00:52:21,694
Yeah.
1028
00:52:21,694 --> 00:52:27,375
I think you guys are I think you guys are right
about the about the idea that if you if they
1029
00:52:27,375 --> 00:52:33,349
were to put that money towards a good cause, it
would it would swing some maybe some fence
1030
00:52:33,349 --> 00:52:36,390
sitters and maybe they'd they'd swing red,
white, and blue.
1031
00:52:37,190 --> 00:52:41,269
But, I just don't I just there's too many
assumptions that the American team makes every
1032
00:52:41,269 --> 00:52:42,469
single time we're home.
1033
00:52:42,469 --> 00:52:45,030
And it's just like Medinah was like, oh my
gosh.
1034
00:52:45,030 --> 00:52:46,070
We're gonna kill them.
1035
00:52:46,355 --> 00:52:50,434
And then they just absolutely roasted our ass
that year.
1036
00:52:52,755 --> 00:52:54,355
The fight Chop brings up a good point.
1037
00:52:54,355 --> 00:52:56,914
Will the fight include Rory McIlroy?
1038
00:52:56,994 --> 00:52:57,954
That's what I'm saying.
1039
00:53:03,320 --> 00:53:05,079
LaCava steps across the freaking
1040
00:53:05,239 --> 00:53:08,280
Somebody says something a little weird about
him, Balcon.
1041
00:53:08,360 --> 00:53:09,559
I'll tell you that, actually.
1042
00:53:09,559 --> 00:53:12,840
So don't miss that one like you missed the
four-footer to lose that tournament, you
1043
00:53:12,840 --> 00:53:13,320
schmuck.
1044
00:53:15,065 --> 00:53:16,425
Somebody's gonna say some shit
1045
00:53:16,425 --> 00:53:17,224
like that.
1046
00:53:17,144 --> 00:53:19,144
LaCava's a Buffalo
1047
00:53:19,144 --> 00:53:19,625
native.
1048
00:53:19,305 --> 00:53:20,985
That's good banter.
1049
00:53:21,385 --> 00:53:21,865
Yeah.
1050
00:53:21,625 --> 00:53:22,425
Oh, yeah.
1051
00:53:22,425 --> 00:53:22,825
It's perfect.
1052
00:53:22,825 --> 00:53:24,025
So LaCava's a New York
1053
00:53:23,945 --> 00:53:26,744
LaCava's not the guy that you wanna mess with.
1054
00:53:26,744 --> 00:53:27,065
No.
1055
00:53:27,224 --> 00:53:28,425
LaCava's a huge dude.
1056
00:53:28,559 --> 00:53:28,880
Yeah.
1057
00:53:28,880 --> 00:53:29,760
He's and he's a he's
1058
00:53:29,760 --> 00:53:30,480
a He's a big guy.
1059
00:53:30,480 --> 00:53:30,719
Right?
1060
00:53:30,719 --> 00:53:31,119
He's like,
1061
00:53:31,119 --> 00:53:31,599
six some
1062
00:53:31,760 --> 00:53:32,480
six four?
1063
00:53:32,480 --> 00:53:32,719
No.
1064
00:53:32,719 --> 00:53:34,320
He's not that tall, but he's a big dude.
1065
00:53:35,760 --> 00:53:37,760
I mean, you're a big guy, Buttsy, but I mean,
it's not
1066
00:53:38,000 --> 00:53:40,480
who we got this week, guys?
1067
00:53:40,480 --> 00:53:41,199
Who we got?
1068
00:53:41,199 --> 00:53:44,545
So let's wrap this up with our picks for the
week.
1069
00:53:44,545 --> 00:53:46,545
And, Buttsy, I'm gonna start with you.
1070
00:53:46,545 --> 00:53:47,105
Scottie, you
1071
00:53:47,105 --> 00:53:49,184
got Team USA or you got Europe?
1072
00:53:49,905 --> 00:53:57,760
I am a a bleeding red, white, and blue
American, so I don't care if the United States
1073
00:53:57,760 --> 00:54:00,159
team was deceased and showed up to play.
1074
00:54:00,159 --> 00:54:02,559
I'm going with the fucking US team.
1075
00:54:02,799 --> 00:54:03,840
USA.
1076
00:54:05,920 --> 00:54:06,079
USA.
1077
00:54:06,079 --> 00:54:06,559
USA.
1078
00:54:07,359 --> 00:54:08,880
Still believe in it, you know?
1079
00:54:09,635 --> 00:54:10,835
Still love this place.
1080
00:54:10,835 --> 00:54:16,914
So anything that we're involved in, if it's a
fight, even if it's a golf fight, go USA.
1081
00:54:16,994 --> 00:54:18,675
What's the soccer chant?
1082
00:54:18,914 --> 00:54:19,714
I believe.
1083
00:54:19,714 --> 00:54:21,155
I believe that we will win.
1084
00:54:21,155 --> 00:54:21,474
Correct.
1085
00:54:21,474 --> 00:54:22,994
One team, one something like that.
1086
00:54:23,070 --> 00:54:23,630
Correct.
1087
00:54:23,630 --> 00:54:23,789
One
1088
00:54:23,789 --> 00:54:25,550
team It's USA though.
1089
00:54:25,630 --> 00:54:27,150
So I don't watch soccer either.
1090
00:54:27,150 --> 00:54:27,390
Oh.
1091
00:54:27,390 --> 00:54:28,910
However, when the USA Come on.
1092
00:54:28,910 --> 00:54:32,750
When team USA is on, I'm I'm watching.
1093
00:54:32,750 --> 00:54:33,630
You want to get going?
1094
00:54:33,630 --> 00:54:35,949
Watch some of that stuff from a World Cup.
1095
00:54:36,110 --> 00:54:36,910
I've heard it's awesome.
1096
00:54:36,910 --> 00:54:39,905
It's great stuff.
1097
00:54:39,905 --> 00:54:40,144
Yeah.
1098
00:54:40,144 --> 00:54:42,144
I've heard there's a reason it's huge.
1099
00:54:42,304 --> 00:54:43,344
People love soccer.
1100
00:54:43,344 --> 00:54:43,425
Yeah.
1101
00:54:43,425 --> 00:54:44,144
It's awesome.
1102
00:54:44,545 --> 00:54:46,304
So, Brent, who you got this from?
1103
00:54:46,304 --> 00:54:47,664
Oh, boy.
1104
00:54:47,664 --> 00:54:53,905
Well, the logical correct answer for me would
be to go that the European team comes out and
1105
00:54:53,905 --> 00:54:55,320
wins by four points.
1106
00:54:55,880 --> 00:54:56,119
But
1107
00:54:56,360 --> 00:54:57,160
By four points.
1108
00:54:57,160 --> 00:54:57,559
But what
1109
00:54:57,559 --> 00:54:58,840
do you think about five Billys?
1110
00:54:58,840 --> 00:55:00,040
But no.
1111
00:55:01,320 --> 00:55:03,240
Red, white, and blue, baby, all the way.
1112
00:55:05,480 --> 00:55:06,440
I love how we
1113
00:55:06,440 --> 00:55:10,135
talked up Europe this entire podcast.
1114
00:55:10,135 --> 00:55:17,094
So far we got two for the US, zero for the
European team, and I'm gonna make it the
1115
00:55:17,094 --> 00:55:20,775
trifecta because I have to go Team USA.
1116
00:55:21,289 --> 00:55:23,690
I love everything that Europe's done.
1117
00:55:23,769 --> 00:55:30,010
And I think the USA needs to learn a lot,
especially when they go international in two
1118
00:55:30,010 --> 00:55:30,489
years
1119
00:55:30,489 --> 00:55:31,130
agreed
1120
00:55:31,130 --> 00:55:32,570
and they go overseas.
1121
00:55:32,570 --> 00:55:39,144
They need to take Luke Donald's playbook and
just utilize it for the US team.
1122
00:55:39,224 --> 00:55:40,344
But I'm going USA.
1123
00:55:40,344 --> 00:55:41,945
I think it's going to be very close.
1124
00:55:42,025 --> 00:55:46,025
I think it's going to be a one-point difference
in the victory.
1125
00:55:46,025 --> 00:55:51,089
So I think it's going to come down to those
final matches and hopefully Scottie Scheffler
1126
00:55:51,089 --> 00:55:52,289
is in that final match.
1127
00:55:52,289 --> 00:55:52,769
That's all I'm
1128
00:55:52,769 --> 00:55:53,089
gonna say.
1129
00:55:53,089 --> 00:55:57,250
Think Trump flies a B-2 over the course though.
1130
00:55:57,409 --> 00:55:57,889
100%.
1131
00:55:57,889 --> 00:55:58,210
Yes.
1132
00:55:58,210 --> 00:55:58,530
Friday.
1133
00:55:58,530 --> 00:55:59,569
A few of them actually.
1134
00:55:59,569 --> 00:56:00,609
So he's going Friday.
1135
00:56:01,585 --> 00:56:07,025
So Scottie Scheffler was talking about how he
will, so Trump told him that he will be there
1136
00:56:07,025 --> 00:56:11,105
Friday, on the grounds to talk to Team USA.
1137
00:56:11,905 --> 00:56:18,920
And I love that we're seeing a president that
loves sports 100%, and is showing up to
1138
00:56:19,079 --> 00:56:19,320
Yeah.
1139
00:56:19,400 --> 00:56:21,480
all of the sporting events, which is pretty
cool.
1140
00:56:21,480 --> 00:56:22,039
Yes.
1141
00:56:22,039 --> 00:56:22,679
Absolutely.
1142
00:56:22,679 --> 00:56:23,079
Absolutely.
1143
00:56:23,079 --> 00:56:24,360
Especially this is a big one.
1144
00:56:24,360 --> 00:56:25,719
This goes back a long ways.
1145
00:56:26,094 --> 00:56:26,494
Yeah.
1146
00:56:26,494 --> 00:56:27,375
Gotta be there.
1147
00:56:27,375 --> 00:56:31,295
And actually, I mean, I should say that
previous presidents have done it as well, if
1148
00:56:31,295 --> 00:56:32,015
I'm not mistaken.
1149
00:56:32,015 --> 00:56:32,494
Yeah.
1150
00:56:32,494 --> 00:56:35,535
But I mean, it's a little bit different when
you have DJT there.
1151
00:56:35,535 --> 00:56:41,215
I mean, the guy is gonna bring just the
absolute heat with him.
1152
00:56:41,650 --> 00:56:43,329
I mean, do we see a bomber?
1153
00:56:43,329 --> 00:56:43,809
Do we see
1154
00:56:43,809 --> 00:56:44,210
a bomber?
1155
00:56:44,289 --> 00:56:44,929
100%.
1156
00:56:44,929 --> 00:56:49,170
I can tell you they will fly, probably a couple
C-130s.
1157
00:56:49,170 --> 00:56:53,329
They're gonna fly a couple F-35s and they will
fly a B-2 bomber.
1158
00:56:53,329 --> 00:56:54,050
100%.
1159
00:56:55,885 --> 00:56:57,565
We'll end it with this.
1160
00:56:57,565 --> 00:57:03,324
Over/under number of gallery ropes to
clothesline Bryson if he loses his matches.
1161
00:57:03,324 --> 00:57:04,844
That's from Andrew P.
1162
00:57:05,724 --> 00:57:06,125
Four.
1163
00:57:06,699 --> 00:57:07,260
Four.
1164
00:57:07,260 --> 00:57:08,219
Exactly four.
1165
00:57:08,219 --> 00:57:10,780
I'm gonna go I'm gonna go a half.
1166
00:57:11,179 --> 00:57:11,900
Half?
1167
00:57:12,460 --> 00:57:15,740
You're gonna go two ropes?
1168
00:57:15,980 --> 00:57:18,780
I might just catch them like on the forehead.
1169
00:57:18,780 --> 00:57:19,179
We don't know.
1170
00:57:19,905 --> 00:57:21,425
Not a full clothesline.
1171
00:57:21,425 --> 00:57:23,744
Wear a T-shirt out there with a rope on it and
1172
00:57:25,184 --> 00:57:27,505
Just one rope and one stake, two stakes.
1173
00:57:27,505 --> 00:57:28,385
That'd be awesome.
1174
00:57:28,465 --> 00:57:29,664
Never forget.
1175
00:57:29,664 --> 00:57:30,065
Yeah.
1176
00:57:30,065 --> 00:57:30,465
There you go.
1177
00:57:30,465 --> 00:57:31,505
Everything's gate now.
1178
00:57:31,505 --> 00:57:33,585
Rope gate, bot gate.
1179
00:57:33,664 --> 00:57:33,985
Bot gate.
1180
00:57:33,985 --> 00:57:34,144
Gate.
1181
00:57:34,920 --> 00:57:36,440
I think yeah.
1182
00:57:36,440 --> 00:57:38,039
Maybe we see one.
1183
00:57:38,039 --> 00:57:40,519
We might see one rope battle.
1184
00:57:40,519 --> 00:57:41,239
We'll see.
1185
00:57:42,280 --> 00:57:46,519
And then last comment here from Trott Golfer.
1186
00:57:47,094 --> 00:57:51,255
Ben Griffin will be the last man on Sunday, and
he will win, winning the point for the Ryder
1187
00:57:51,255 --> 00:57:51,815
Cup.
1188
00:57:52,535 --> 00:57:59,655
I hope for his sake that they don't put that
amount of pressure on him after the short miss
1189
00:58:00,519 --> 00:58:05,880
at Silverado in Napa Valley not last weekend,
but the weekend before.
1190
00:58:06,279 --> 00:58:06,599
It might
1191
00:58:06,599 --> 00:58:06,920
be.
1192
00:58:06,759 --> 00:58:07,960
I would hate that for him.
1193
00:58:08,119 --> 00:58:09,559
Where he proves it, dude.
1194
00:58:09,559 --> 00:58:10,359
Maybe he does.
1195
00:58:10,359 --> 00:58:11,400
Maybe Trott's right.
1196
00:58:11,400 --> 00:58:15,815
Maybe Trott is like a real-life Marty McFly and
he's from the future.
1197
00:58:15,815 --> 00:58:16,375
He does.
1198
00:58:16,534 --> 00:58:18,295
He's already seen this play out.
1199
00:58:18,295 --> 00:58:25,175
I've met the guy, like, he's stoic and has a
look of wisdom that you can't really explain.
1200
00:58:25,335 --> 00:58:27,414
He might be from the future and he might be
right.
1201
00:58:28,000 --> 00:58:28,640
He does.
1202
00:58:28,640 --> 00:58:30,400
He's definitely his own vibe.
1203
00:58:30,400 --> 00:58:31,280
That's for sure.
1204
00:58:33,039 --> 00:58:35,360
He rolls his own dust, which I really love.
1205
00:58:35,599 --> 00:58:36,559
Gotta respect it.
1206
00:58:36,559 --> 00:58:37,920
You really gotta respect it.
1207
00:58:38,358 --> 00:58:38,918
Yeah.
1208
00:58:38,918 --> 00:58:39,452
One
1209
00:58:40,518 --> 00:58:41,719
Alright, gents.
1210
00:58:41,719 --> 00:58:43,559
Ryder Cup 2025.
1211
00:58:43,559 --> 00:58:44,998
Start watching on Friday.
1212
00:58:45,478 --> 00:58:47,159
Let's go USA.
1213
00:58:47,398 --> 00:58:48,039
Peace out.
1214
00:58:48,039 --> 00:58:48,838
A-Town.
1215
00:58:48,838 --> 00:58:49,159
Down.
