Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show. Live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Well, Ann Coulter, the best-selling author, the great columnist. You should follow her on Twitter. Even better is Substack, where she's got her columns, her videos, her podcasts, everything. She's also got a great Rumble channel. It's Ann Coulter at Rumble. Ann Coulter, how are you doing?
00:00:29
Speaker 2: Fantastic. How are you, Mark Simone?
00:00:31
Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm good. One of your books a long time ago, you wrote about McCarthy, communism, the McCarthy hearings, if they could show that you ever in your life ever even met with a communist, you were finished. You were out of work forever. Now today, Democrats brag about being communists. How did this happen?
00:00:52
Speaker 2: Oh, they were broken back then, too. They liked to go on offense and defense at the same time. There was just a lot of wailing about nothing. And, of course, McCarthy was only interested in communists in positions of power at the State Department where they were and where they were influencing policy, such as giving away all of Eastern Europe to the Soviet Union. That was Alger Hiss. sitting at the right hand of FDR at Yalta. So it was a pretty serious, serious matter. But yes, it's funny how they openly talk about it now. They kind of talked about it openly back then, too.
00:01:32
Speaker 1: Wow. But did you ever think you'd see a time where they actually run as socialists, communists, and campaign based on that?
00:01:42
Speaker 2: It's very strange. I guess people just don't... I mean, nobody remembers anything. And so we have to keep reliving the same mistakes over and over and over again.
00:01:59
Speaker 1: And if you're a dumb college kid, what is it about communism that you love? Do they think it means equality for everybody, fairness for everybody? Is that what they think?
00:02:09
Speaker 2: Well, I think maybe I'm wrong about this, but I think they mostly call themselves socialists. Communists, I think, probably still is like saying anarchist or something wild to show how radical and cruel you are. And for socialism, I think they just want free stuff.
00:02:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, hey, speaking of college, your old alma mater there, Cornell, a lot of trouble there. What do you think of this Bill Maher idea, close all fraternities, don't even have many more?
00:02:38
Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so glad you asked. I have another article. our column on that going up a little later today uh... uh.
00:02:48
Speaker 2: You'll have to read the column but uh... the reason they're so obsessed with trade and they're always obsessed with returning it because they feed them at the bastions of lost and traditional american which in fact is exactly what they are but it's curious how they are so fixated on on for sure if this time and um... i suspect it's because Normally when they need, they're dying, dying for white gang rapists, something that incidentally never happens. So they're constantly making up stories, the media, Democrats, liberals, making up stories about white gang rapes. There were the white gang rapists at the UVA fraternity, the famous Rolling Stone article. White Duke lacrosse players alleged gang rape. uh... white military contractors that was jamie lee jones got the law change huge hearings in the senate led by none other than al franken uh... white prosecutors and police uh... allegedly gang raped to wanna brawley that was the one that kind of set the whole thing off all of them fake all of them all of them all of them uh... and coincidentally the there were there are seven fraternity brothers Now being accused in the pleadings, though, at the time, Jane Doe admitted that two of them never laid a finger on her. They just stepped into the room. They told the police. It's the two Scots, Scott Norris and Scott Kreshmar, I think his name is. The two Scots told the police, we saw this vulgar, coarse tweet sent out by fraternity brother Jonathan Newell, an African-American, by the way, but we'll get back to that in a moment. offering free and then vulgar term for a woman's private parts. So they wanted to know what the hell was going on and shut it down if there were any sexual hijinks. They said they went up to the room. Jane Doe was conversational. They left after five minutes, never laid a finger on her. She agreed that they never touched her at the time, which is why... The other five were suspended, expelled, barred from campus because that one had already graduated. These two, the two Scots, by the way, the only two white guys, their punishment was to read up on sexual harassment and something called bystander intervention. But everybody's agreed. Jane Doe, them, these guys never touch her. So who are the ones who engaged in sexual acts with her? and their defense is it was consensual. It may well be. An awful lot of evidence seems to go that way. Yet and still, it was an orgy. Who did have sexual acts with Jane Doe? Well, the five of them who admit to engaging in sexual activity with Jane Doe, one Muslim, one African American, two Hispanics, and one Asian. So that's why we're getting this fixation on fraternities. So you don't look too closely at who did what, and you're just supposed to think white. Think white. It's elitist. It's privileged. Elitist or privileged. The exact same things they said about the Duke lacrosse players, about UVA. They're elite. They're privileged. They're supposed to be white, white, white, white, white. And strikingly, Wow, year after year, decades of absolute rape sprees on college campuses by college football players, and oh my gosh, you never hear a peep about that.
00:06:41
Speaker 1: Wow. Hey, the other thing the left is crazy about, Christopher Columbus, they just keep going after him. I mean, it's America. He discovered it. Shouldn't he be a hero even to the left? And wasn't he the first illegal migrant? Shouldn't they be celebrating this guy?
00:06:59
Speaker 2: He was absolutely not illegal. He was a great discoverer. Of course we should celebrate him. We should put him on Rushmore. Yes, he brought the Western culture, the greatest culture in the history of mankind, to a godforsaken land where, quote, indigenous are running around in loincloths. having to chase a buffalo whenever their stomachs growl. I mean, a country, they had no concept of property rights, the idea that we stole land from them. We're nomadic people. And if their, quote, civilization had triumphed, America wouldn't be able to support more than, oh, I don't know, 700,000 people. But thanks to the innovations of Western Europe, we've been able to create the richest, most prosperous, freest, greatest country in the world.
00:08:00
Speaker 1: Oh, all right. Hurricanes. Shouldn't there be a law that you have to pick a normal name? Now there's hurricane names. Nobody knows what the hell the name of this hurricane is.
00:08:15
Speaker 2: No, maybe you looked this up. I just thought what a stupid name it was and tweeted out that I want the next one to be in a language that has those clicking noises used by African Bushmen. They actually have clicks as part of their language. So that would be great for a hurricane name. But who on earth is coming up with these names?
00:08:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, it used to be Hurricane Sally, Hurricane Frank, Hurricane John.
00:08:42
Speaker 2: Oh, I go farther. I don't think they should be named after men. Let's go back to, I mean, hurricanes were always named after women. And then, because there can never be any difference, any difference at all in men and women. No, we have to start giving them... Actually, it was funny how the first several names, when they started going to male names, sounded like really gay names.
00:09:07
Speaker 1: Well.
00:09:09
Speaker 2: Which sort of made sense, because that's why I think hurricanes should be named only after women. It's one of our little.
00:09:16
Speaker 2: It's one of our little techniques for keeping people in control to be able to act like a hurricane.
00:09:21
Speaker 1: Well, that's true. If it's a lot of hot air and noise, I guess you should name it after a woman. There you go.
00:09:27
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:09:29
Speaker 1: Hey, you didn't see the debate last night, did you? The governor's debate here in New York?
00:09:34
Speaker 2: I did not see it, but I've read about it. I guess Kathy Hogle thinks she's running against Trump.
00:09:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, but she hits him with all this. You hang around with white supremacists, QAnon. Where do they come up with these idiotic things to hit people with?
00:09:51
Speaker 2: Did she really? That's interesting. The New York Times did not report that.
00:09:56
Speaker 1: Oh, of course they didn't. Imagine Bruce Blakeman hanging around with QAnon.
00:10:00
Speaker 2: That's very embarrassing.
00:10:03
Speaker 1: For her.
00:10:04
Speaker 2: Yes. I mean, that sort of crap I would think would annoy people that even if they were on the fence, they would say, okay, that's it. I don't know anything about this guy, but I'm voting for him because this is such nonsense.
00:10:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, besides the fact that you look like a dirty, cheap politician, and he looked like a statesman, like a common-sense, normal guy. And a dwarf.
00:10:28
Speaker 2: Do you know if she's technically the legal definition of a dwarf?
00:10:32
Speaker 1: No, she's not a dwarf. She's like 5'1. Okay, well, let's look that up. With heels.
00:10:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, with heels, exactly. Well, Ann Coulter-Garland.
00:10:45
