TENTANG EPISODE INI
Do employees need a personal brand? According to strategic growth leader Yovonne Kenny, the answer is yes.
In this week’s episode of the Finally Seen™, SVP of Strategic Growth at Palisade™ Shower & Wall Systems, Yovonne Kenny, shares why your personal brand is built through every interaction, every decision, and every opportunity to earn trust. After unexpectedly losing a job she thought she would keep forever, she discovered something that completely changed how she viewed visibility. Her job title didn't protect her career. It was protected by the reputation she had built over years of showing up consistently.
We’ll explore why employees need personal brands just as much as entrepreneurs, how perfection keeps talented women hidden, and why sharing your expertise is an act of service rather than self-promotion.
If you've ever wondered whether you're putting yourself out there enough, or you've been waiting until everything feels perfect before becoming more visible, this episode will challenge the way you think about leadership, influence, and your responsibility to share what you know.
In This Episode:
- Why your company can outgrow you, even when you built it from the ground up
- What to do in the first 30 days after a layoff if your identity was tied to your title
- Why employees at every level need a personal brand, not just founders and executives
- How to talk about what you sell in terms of the transformation it creates, not the features it has
- The three-step framework for starting a personal brand from scratch: domain, message, hub
- Why perfectionism is the biggest thing standing between people and visibility
- How to identify your natural talents by paying attention to what feels easy instead of what feels impressive
