Subject: More Than Just a Massage in Grayslake
Hey everyone,
What a fantastic time I had recording the latest episode! I was right here in town, at 15 Commerce Drive, to celebrate the new Grayslake location of Harmony Falls Clinic and Spa. I sat down with the owners, Ross and Victor, and their story and passion for what they do absolutely blew me away.
This wasn't just a conversation about a new business; it was about community, genuine care, and some seriously cool wellness trends. I left feeling so inspired (and wanting to book a massage, ASAP!).
Here are a few things from our chat that really stuck with me and I think you'll love:
From Employee to Co-Owner
One of the first things that struck me was Ross's journey. He started as an employee at Harmony Falls and is now a co-owner with Victor, expanding the business to three locations. It's a powerful story of partnership and believing in a shared vision. It just goes to show what can happen when you find the right people to build with.
Why Grayslake?
I had to ask: out of all the places they could have chosen, why our town? Their answer was pure Grayslake. They said it just "felt like home," reminding them of the strong community vibe they love. They even gave a shout-out to local spots like Something's Brewing for making them feel so welcome. It's a great reminder of what makes our town so special.
Not Your Average Spa Day
This is what really got me excited. Harmony Falls is doing some innovative stuff. We talked about: Infrared Saunas & Cold Plunges:** They're making these amazing health tools accessible to everyone. CBD-Infused Massages:** They use a unique hot-and-cold therapy with CBD and hot salt stones to target pain and inflammation. So cool! The "Dual Fusion":* This is their hidden gem service. Imagine a couples' experience where you and a partner get a massage and a facial *at the same time, then switch. How perfect is that for a date night or a day out with a friend?
A Business That Cares for Its Own
Perhaps the most impressive part of our conversation was hearing how Ross and Victor prioritize their team. They know massage therapy is physically demanding, so they provide their staff with free massages and flexible hours to prevent burnout. As they put it, "Happy therapists mean better care for clients." It's a simple philosophy, but one that makes all the difference.
I truly believe that supporting local businesses like Harmony Falls is what keeps our community thriving. Ross and Victor are the real deal—passionate, kind, and dedicated to bringing genuine wellness to Grayslake.
Give the episode a listen to hear their full story, plus a hilarious rapid-fire round where we talk about everything from first cars to karaoke songs.
