Embracing The Next Evolution

WEBVTT
00:00:01.703 --> 00:00:16.769
If you know me, you know I love experimenting with my content and experimenting is what I've done lately, especially on social media, you may have noticed I've been experimenting more in the realm of changing up the topics I talk about with AI, current events, tech, things like that.
00:00:16.769 --> 00:00:34.545
Before I would talk about content creation, most people kind of know me for podcasting on like how to podcast and educational type content around podcasting, which is largely what I've been publishing for the past few years and I published a lot of content.
00:00:34.545 --> 00:01:10.504
It's hard for me to even wrap my head around it, but I've probably published 1200 plus unique short form videos around that topic content content creation, podcasting, things like that and we're like 260 episodes deep or something of this podcast and I've probably published one and a half times that for newsletters, cause at one point I was doing twice weekly email newsletters around that topic of content creation and podcasting and then I shifted to once a week, which it's funny how like chill that felt with just going from twice to once and I was like, how did I ever do twice a week?
00:01:10.504 --> 00:01:10.986
That's a lot.
00:01:10.986 --> 00:01:14.060
And within my newsletter I've experimented a lot.
00:01:14.060 --> 00:01:46.674
Within this podcast I've experimented a lot and I think that I'm at the next evolution of my content, which is less around the topics of content creation podcasting, things like that and more leaning into kind of what's going on with AI, tech, current events around that stuff, things that I come across that I think people should be informed about not necessarily my opinion on them, more posing questions around them or just informing people around what's going on.
00:01:46.674 --> 00:01:57.629
And that's a bit of a pivot, at least in my mind, and so what I'm doing is just kind of cleaning up where I distribute content so that people are aware.
00:01:57.789 --> 00:02:16.502
Now I don't really clean that up on social media because social media is so fast moving, but this podcast, I mean we spend time every week, even if it's just for a few minutes, and so I really respect your time, whether it's email or this podcast or anywhere we cross paths, and so I just wanted to say that thank you one for listening.
00:02:16.502 --> 00:02:17.364
It means a lot.
00:02:17.364 --> 00:02:18.707
It's the reason why I do this.
00:02:18.707 --> 00:02:22.143
And for two, I'm going to be pivoting up my newsletter, which you may have already read about.
00:02:22.143 --> 00:02:24.508
I just don't know how I'm going to be pivoting up my newsletter, which you may have already read about.
00:02:24.508 --> 00:02:31.508
I just don't know how I'm going to pivot up or change up the content within this podcast and I don't know if I'll be doing a completely new podcast.
00:02:31.508 --> 00:02:52.402
I'll make sure to update the show notes for one, where you can opt in to get the new weekly email newsletter and two, latest information about this podcast, because I'm just going to pause for a second to make sure I can deliver information in a way that's actually wanted through a podcast, versus just forcing it, because it's something that I've always done.
00:02:53.104 --> 00:03:26.848
If I had to like wrap this around and a lesson that could also benefit you is, it's just something that I've found to be both incredibly scary but necessary for growth in my life is testing the way I've been doing things and seeing if there's a way that works better and there's always a way you could do probably something better, right, but when it comes to like large chunks of time and commitments that we make consciously or unconsciously, it's like one of the oldest things around.
00:03:26.848 --> 00:03:30.794
Productivity is like when you're auditing or watching someone do something.
00:03:30.794 --> 00:03:32.241
They're like why do you do it that way and they go.
00:03:32.241 --> 00:03:39.104
Well, that's the way I've always done it and I think it's easy to get in these patterns in our environment, where we do something and just becomes.
00:03:39.104 --> 00:03:40.086
That's the way I've always done it.
00:03:40.747 --> 00:03:51.097
I don't want to fall into that with my content that I'm publishing for you, because I put a lot of intention behind what I do and I want it to be worth your time.
00:03:51.097 --> 00:04:10.819
So I'm taking a pause on this podcast and changing things up because I going make sure to check the episode description here for a link to the new newsletter If you're not already signed up for it.
00:04:10.819 --> 00:04:26.353
Keep an eye out for if I got a new podcast coming and hopefully we can stay connected on social media, where I'll still be posting regularly, not really going anywhere, just changing up how I show up on these platforms, and I hope you're having a great summer and we can stay connected.
