Speaker 1: This is a window for the Ravens to get out of the Lamar Jackson experience. Because right now you're talking.
00:00:06
Speaker 2: About- But why would you want to get out of Lamar Jackson's experience?
00:00:08
Speaker 1: Here I go. So since 2019, his rookie year, he's missed 21 games.
00:00:14
Speaker 2: Correct.
00:00:15
Speaker 1: Back-to-back seasons, he's missed 16 games. Welcome to the Bart Willey Show. We can't recap. We are live.
00:00:45
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:00:46
Speaker 1: Do you feel it?
00:00:47
Speaker 2: Do you feel it in the air?
00:00:49
Speaker 1: Steelers are back on top. You and you, Nutter. I'm feeling good. Welcome to the good people at Playmaker. Thank you to the good people at Playmaker. We got Nutter. We got Brick. We got Tone behind the cameras. And of course, the one and only, the mad backer himself.
00:01:05
Speaker 2: Not a good day.
00:01:07
Speaker 1: Bart Scott.
00:01:08
Speaker 2: It couldn't go more– outside of the Lions winning, it couldn't have went worse for me. Jet season, finito. Ravens season on a short week. They ain't even got enough bodies. They got to try and sign some people to fill the roster out. They only got one quarterback. They did not lose just Lamar. Joe Fagano, right?
00:01:28
Speaker 1: Is that his name?
00:01:29
Speaker 2: They didn't just lose Lamar.
00:01:30
Speaker 3: I think he nailed the pronunciation.
00:01:32
Speaker 2: They lost Huntley right after.
00:01:33
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:01:34
Speaker 2: They got one– You guys are 4-4 though. They got a– Okay. They got to call back Cooper Flagg.
00:01:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not like you're two and six like the Jets. I mean, you guys are at the bottom, but you guys got a fighting chance.
00:01:47
Speaker 2: Fighting chance against who?
00:01:48
Speaker 1: We'll see. He played Thursday night, right?
00:01:51
Speaker 2: Yes. Against guess who?
00:01:53
Speaker 1: Who?
00:01:53
Speaker 2: Jacksonville.
00:01:55
Speaker 1: One of the best teams in the AFC. Yeah, I don't really give a shit, to be honest with you. I wish I could. I wish I had some empathy. I don't. Because when the Steelers are down, people like to drag us. So I'm just going to step on low over there.
00:02:05
Speaker 2: It's going to pull a hamstring.
00:02:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's good. That's positive. Let's get right to it, man. It's time to dump it in the bucket.
00:02:12
Speaker 2: Bart Scott. By the way, Bart was late to the show. This is my dump it in the bucket. Can I dump it in the bucket? You don't dump my bucket in the bucket.
00:02:19
Speaker 1: I'm not going to dump it. I was just saying why you was late. But we don't know each other's dumping in the bucket.
00:02:23
Speaker 2: So I didn't know you.
00:02:24
Speaker 1: You may have other ruining your life there.
00:02:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, I had a different dumping in the bucket. But once again, these Jersey streets are undefeated. You know, usually, you know, you in an SUV, your car can take a bump, at least a light bump. Not in New York.
00:02:40
Speaker 1: What car were you driving?
00:02:41
Speaker 2: Escalade.
00:02:42
Speaker 1: Oh, I thought you were driving your Hellcat. No. Oh.
00:02:45
Speaker 2: Sliced right through my tire, man. Caught one of those storm drains that's in a rounded corner, which why would you put it in a rounded corner? Maybe that's the way the street is pitched. Just touched it a little bit. Sliced me right open, man. And on my way here, about to make the right, you know, when you hit something like, boom, you're like, man, please, please, please, please. I look up, the tire gauge come on.
00:03:07
Speaker 1: 24.
00:03:09
Speaker 2: Maybe it's just, you know, 19.
00:03:12
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you down. The ship is sinking.
00:03:14
Speaker 2: Gas station behind. Right now as we speak, my car is still there. There's probably a bus here because the tow man got to come pick my ride up.
00:03:25
Speaker 1: How much cost you?
00:03:26
Speaker 2: I don't know. They'll tell me afterwards. It's one of those things where you just got to get it done. What choice, what option do I have?
00:03:32
Speaker 3: Does it cost more for a bigger car, like an Escalade, than it does like a Mini Cooper?
00:03:36
Speaker 2: I don't know, because if it's just a, you know, when it's like the one that you just put on top of the back, I don't know, you're not dragging. It's got to go probably to, good thing is, the dude that used to work in Florham Park, right down the street from the Jets facility, he got transferred to Englewood. So Englewood's not too far from where the car is, maybe 20 minutes, go pick it up, get me a tire. Let me know. Have somebody drop it off. You know what I mean? I won't see the car until it's finished.
00:04:02
Speaker 1: But Bart got rich people problems. All he did was get a ride back to his house to get his other car. So it's like, you're fine. Rich bastard.
00:04:11
Speaker 2: No, man. Anybody that got significant others got multiple with more than one car.
00:04:14
Speaker 1: He got five cars.
00:04:15
Speaker 2: Okay, Willie, next thing, that's my dump in the bucket. What's your dump in the bucket?
00:04:19
Speaker 3: My dump in the bucket is, why Bart got five cars and I got no cars?
00:04:22
Speaker 1: Bart got a lot of cars.
00:04:23
Speaker 2: Well, because you live in New York.
00:04:24
Speaker 3: That's true. I don't even want a car.
00:04:26
Speaker 2: You got a city bike pass.
00:04:28
Speaker 3: Fun fact, I've never owned a car in my entire life.
00:04:31
Speaker 2: Not a single car.
00:04:31
Speaker 3: Never needed to.
00:04:32
Speaker 1: Well, you look like a guy that rides scooters and bikes because of your sideburns.
00:04:35
Speaker 2: A Vespa.
00:04:35
Speaker 1: Skateboards, baby.
00:04:36
Speaker 2: He got a Vespa.
00:04:38
Speaker 1: My dump in the bucket, I want to show a clip from Derrick the Beach Lewis, famous UFC fighter. He's Had a pretty good career thus far. This clip hit home for a second, so I'm going to play it. Before on media day, you received an award, though, for I believe it was 75 clean drug tests, and you were somewhat surprised about that. Why were you so surprised?
00:04:59
Speaker 2: Just because I've been taking Cialis and a bunch of other boner gas station pills and stuff like that.
00:05:04
Speaker 1: I didn't think it was going to go through, but I had to get the job done with my wife.
00:05:10
Speaker 2: I mean, this is like R. Mike, you know, rest in peace R. Mike, you know, Levitra. You know, R. Mike had Levitra, so basically what he's saying is he got a limp noodle, you know what I'm saying? He got a limp biscuit, and you know what I'm saying? Anytime, like, that's dangerous. Like, you taking honey packs or whatever they selling at the gas station to get your wood up, man, you best not have a damn heart attack, brother. Forget not passing the test, you know, gonna end up like Lamar Odom at the Bunny Ranch. Face down, ass up.
00:05:34
Speaker 1: The reason I showed that clip is because I called home the other day, and you know, you probably can attest to this, when your wife is in the trenches with the kids. Life is lifing and everybody's, you know, pretty much, she's not, I've been on the road here and kind of, you know, she's been going through it. One kid is sick, multiple, you know, Halloween, everybody's got a party, a situation going on, family stuff. And I was like, man, I need to be a better husband. And I realized it starts in the bedroom. And so I realized, man.
00:06:02
Speaker 2: You going to go lock and load it?
00:06:04
Speaker 1: I have to fill up. I need more ammunition. So I've been thinking about. But this is the thing.
00:06:08
Speaker 2: You've been on the road, though, brother. So your balls could be filled up. It could be a short match.
00:06:14
Speaker 1: But no, what I'm saying.
00:06:15
Speaker 2: Are you still a two-round jack?
00:06:16
Speaker 1: No, I'm not a two-round jack. But what I'm saying is, man, I realize the Cialis gas station pills. I've had multiple conversations with men. And this is starting. Not that it's a trend. It's an old trend. But guys are calling for the Calvary. And I need some, so I hear, if Derrick the Beast Lewis can take gas station pills, the lightning bolt with the fucking rhino through it, and the Seattle's, I may have to get, because he deserves more. I want to be able to give her more than what I've been able to give thus far.
00:06:42
Speaker 2: You want to give her 18-year-old Willie Colon hardwood. I just want to just give it like that. You got that white pine right now. Like, it's hard, but it ain't hard hard. You want that old oak wood. Brazilian nut hardwood.
00:06:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, I want that refurbished wood. I want that fucking... strong, like we could build a goddamn log cabin type wood.
00:07:04
Speaker 2: Like if you fuck around a miss and hit her hamstrings, that shit gonna hurt.
00:07:08
Speaker 1: I just like, when you do it, you should see, your wife should feel exhausted from it. Not like, hey, I'm going to go make a sandwich and catch up on some calls. You want to be on that old porno stuff. Back in the day, you ever hear of Richard Pryor?
00:07:21
Speaker 2: Is that too much to ask? Because you're a comedian. Remember him talking about Red Rooster? Of course, man.
00:07:25
Speaker 1: Right?
00:07:25
Speaker 2: So Red Rooster back in the day used to be a pill that was like that, but it was called Red Rooster.
00:07:29
Speaker 1: Have you ever taken any pills?
00:07:30
Speaker 2: I took it when I was in high school.
00:07:32
Speaker 1: In high school?
00:07:33
Speaker 2: Bro, I tried. They was like, man, Red Rooster. I heard Richard Pryor. You remember Red Rooster? Wait till he bring it up. He's talking about Red Roosters, bro.
00:07:40
Speaker 1: But have you recently taken any like male pills? performance drugs, like Cialis.
00:07:44
Speaker 2: Bro, like I'll take, like they have like the L-cardigene, L-nitrate, open up your blood vessels. You talk about nitrate.
00:07:51
Speaker 1: But that's like healthy stuff. I'm talking about like.
00:07:53
Speaker 2: That's what it is. That's all it's doing, but it's still to help you.
00:07:56
Speaker 1: But like the Viagra stuff and all that stuff, have you?
00:07:58
Speaker 2: Bro, I've taken Viagra to play games. You didn't think I had enough when I went home to be able to do what I got to do?
00:08:03
Speaker 3: And that's with no underwear on either.
00:08:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's with no underwear. What do you think when it's just straight meat?
00:08:08
Speaker 1: So you out here with the dick out, Viagra'd up, and you four from one, and you just out here running hard.
00:08:15
Speaker 2: Hey, we picking up four from one. We ain't coming up short.
00:08:19
Speaker 1: Back to my wife. So I want to be a better man. I want to be a better man. I need backup. So for anybody out there that suggests any male enhancement or male pills that can kind of make you feel like a goddamn.
00:08:30
Speaker 2: We should get a sponsor. You should do the blue chew. I was just going to say. Willie with blue chew?
00:08:34
Speaker 1: Yeah. It's that thing. I've seen that.
00:08:35
Speaker 2: I used to do the reading for blue chew. It's basically that, but you just chew it.
00:08:39
Speaker 1: Okay.
00:08:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, blue chew. You can get that.
00:08:41
Speaker 1: But does it fuck with your heart? Because I'm on a heart medication, too. Oh, no.
00:08:44
Speaker 2: You can't just damn.
00:08:45
Speaker 1: What do you mean?
00:08:45
Speaker 2: If you're on heart medication, you can't take shit.
00:08:47
Speaker 1: What do you mean I can't take shit?
00:08:48
Speaker 2: You can't drink ginseng, motherfucker. Green tea is awful. You can't take shit.
00:08:55
Speaker 1: I can take something. Bro, we got to find something I can take. The woman deserves better than what I've been able to put out there lately.
00:09:03
Speaker 2: That's after we put three stints in your shit to make sure your shit don't clog up.
00:09:08
Speaker 3: This is a business opportunity.
00:09:10
Speaker 1: I'm like, boy, defibrillator, come in.
00:09:13
Speaker 2: They got the blue chew gold. They got the blue chew gold. They got the roll, right? You can get the roll. You got the rigid.
00:09:20
Speaker 1: That's rigid.
00:09:21
Speaker 2: You know a lot about this. It's like, bro, it shows up on your timeline when you look at as much butt cheeks as I look at on my phone.
00:09:28
Speaker 3: Dude, there's bloodline, blue to gold, we know hard.
00:09:32
Speaker 2: Yup. Oh, boy, dude, the comedian, the bald head dude.
00:09:35
Speaker 1: To the max.
00:09:36
Speaker 2: I don't have a problem getting up. You know what I'm talking about? He used to be like the dude that you can beat up for no reason. Like, hey, man, you need somebody stumped out, homie? You'll call me.
00:09:43
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, Tyrone.
00:09:44
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, not Tyrone. It's another one. He'd be doing this little thing with the three like.
00:09:48
Speaker 1: Once again, I don't have a problem getting up. I can get up and perform.
00:09:51
Speaker 2: But you want, yes.
00:09:52
Speaker 1: I need that thunder.
00:09:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want the driver, not the three wood.
00:09:59
Speaker 1: Right.
00:10:00
Speaker 3: You need willies, willies. There's an opportunity here for you, man.
00:10:03
Speaker 2: Come on, it's Brandon.
00:10:04
Speaker 1: Willies, willies?
00:10:05
Speaker 2: Willies, wet willies.
00:10:06
Speaker 1: Why it got to be wet?
00:10:07
Speaker 2: This is special pills for people with.
00:10:09
Speaker 3: Heart condition, but they still need the juice. Willies, willies.
00:10:13
Speaker 1: There's got to be a pill that can kind of walk around the whole heart.
00:10:16
Speaker 2: Well, Viagra was a heart pill at first.
00:10:18
Speaker 1: Right. I do know that.
00:10:20
Speaker 2: But they say if you on nitrates or something for your heart, you can't take it.
00:10:23
Speaker 1: Taking it anyway. I don't give a fuck. You'll explode. I got to give it all I got.
00:10:26
Speaker 2: You'll explode.
00:10:27
Speaker 1: My wife deserves better. I want to be there for my wife. I want to be a stress reliever for the woman.
00:10:32
Speaker 2: You better tie a tourniquet around your nut sack. Lock it all in, baby. Yeah! Lock all that flow in.
00:10:41
Speaker 1: Give me all you got.
00:10:42
Speaker 2: Well, she really called me lightheaded. Do what you got to do, baby. Do what you got to do.
00:10:46
Speaker 1: The belt around the neck.
00:10:47
Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
00:10:50
Speaker 1: All right, we're going to take a quick break. Come on back to Bart and Willie. Welcome on back to Bart and Willie. It's time to talk about week eight in the NFL that just passed. A lot of big games. Bart had mentioned last week it was a hold'em and fold'em type week. We're going to talk about the winners. We want to highlight some teams who had a big weekend, starting off with the Denver Broncos. Of course, you know how this segment goes. Me and Bart, we have a minute together to give out our take under a minute. So, Bart. Lead us off.
00:11:19
Speaker 2: Did you start the minute?
00:11:20
Speaker 1: Okay, bet. We're going to start.
00:11:21
Speaker 3: We're starting right now.
00:11:22
Speaker 1: We're going to start with the Denver Broncos.
00:11:24
Speaker 2: Go ahead, Bart. We're going to start with the Denver Broncos. Look like they found their running back of the future, getting downhill, running with his hair on fire. But also, tell me when you saw Patrick Mahomes get the ball back with a minute 30, throw the pass to Travis Kelsey. We didn't think, oh, here we go again. Pass coming back. controversial call, did the tackle jump. I think he jumped in and tried to play it off.
00:11:42
Speaker 1: It was bullshit.
00:11:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, but he jumped and then tried to play it off like you're looking back. No, hell no, you jumped, dude. So, like, you know, shout out to Denver Broncos. We knew that if they lost this one that they probably wouldn't be able to catch Kansas City.
00:11:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, the Broncos beat the Chiefs using their identity, meaning we were used to seeing the Broncos, excuse me, the Chiefs come back from behind and win games. The Broncos were able to do that. They were down 11 going into the fourth quarter. Bo Nix threw two touchdowns. What's interesting about the Broncos moving forward right now, Not only Bo Nick showed up, but the run game with Jonah Coleman is huge. But I still think they got a running back problem. I do think the Broncos should trade for Jonathan Taylor. See what happens. But I like that. Defense had a big game as well. So credit the Broncos. Two games leading the division, and they won the tiebreaker. Moving on.
00:12:28
Speaker 2: You can start this one off because I know that.
00:12:30
Speaker 3: You– No, we can skip this one, I think.
00:12:31
Speaker 1: What do you mean?
00:12:32
Speaker 3: We're going to skip this one. I'm going to edit it out.
00:12:34
Speaker 1: What do you mean?
00:12:34
Speaker 2: You got on Cleveland Browns orange.
00:12:37
Speaker 1: I wanted to celebrate. With the blood orange on my head.
00:12:41
Speaker 2: It's washed.
00:12:42
Speaker 1: You ready? Let's do it. Let's talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers currently on top of the... Currently on top of the goddamn division. And we had to put belt to ass to the Cleveland Browns.
00:12:56
Speaker 2: Y'all dirty, man.
00:12:57
Speaker 1: The belt to ass.
00:12:59
Speaker 2: Y'all dirty.
00:13:00
Speaker 1: Gerald and Warren had a big ass game. We beat their ass in the trenches on both sides. And let me tell you something, bro. Let me tell you something.
00:13:07
Speaker 2: Come on, Black Hogan.
00:13:09
Speaker 1: Let me tell you something.
00:13:12
Speaker 2: Let's see how long that build is.
00:13:13
Speaker 1: Jared Verstappen, this is how, can I say something? This is how you're not a goon. If you get slammed on your head after all that shit you talk and you don't do anything and they ask you at the end of the game what you think about it, it was a dirty play. But if I was somewhere else, I would have reacted different. Motherfucker, you have four quarters to be a goon. And you didn't do nothing. You didn't even have a sack. You didn't have a tackle. You didn't do a goddamn thing. Jam verse, what it was, for him rather, you tried to be the guy they needed you to be. And you're not built like that, homie. Four quarters.
00:13:45
Speaker 2: You gave us nothing. Thanks for leaving me nothing. That's all I gave you.
00:13:48
Speaker 1: You didn't need nothing.
00:13:49
Speaker 2: Still, let's put belt to ass.
00:13:50
Speaker 1: Ah! Yeah, there it is, Bart.
00:13:52
Speaker 2: Belt to ass, Browns!
00:13:54
Speaker 3: That's how my dad used to scare the shit out of me.
00:13:56
Speaker 2: This is how Willie wanted to get in.
00:13:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it. You got a little rhythm to that. See, that's how you be fucking him up.
00:14:02
Speaker 3: That's the gas station belt right there.
00:14:04
Speaker 2: That's the gas station belt. All right, last one. We got to go to the NFC North. I'm going to start this one. It's my hometown, my alma mater.
00:14:13
Speaker 1: D-town.
00:14:14
Speaker 2: We no longer... You should have been a Lion, by the way. We saw Zonka. Hell no. We saw Zonka. They sucked at that time. You saw Larry Foote went there. He was like, get me the fuck out of here. He did after a year.
00:14:22
Speaker 1: A year.
00:14:23
Speaker 2: Gave all the money back. Did you ever play with Sue? Man, hell, I don't care. If Larry couldn't do nothing, what the hell? I ain't going to do as much either.
00:14:29
Speaker 3: I haven't heard that name in a minute.
00:14:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, they got rid of his ass too. Well, I'll tell you what, the Lions beat the last undefeated team. We saw Larry Zonka smoke that ceremonial cigar as the last undefeated team to win the Super Bowl. I thought it was a game that was close, right? It was a low-scoring game. You look at DJ Reed coming up with a big interception. You look at like maybe Kyler Murray, you can finally see the frustration from Justin Jefferson yesterday. You know, he addressed it afterwards. You have to find a way to get offense. You talk about trading for Jonathan Taylor. This is a team that can't run the football. They have to get a run game, but they're going to be right there at the end to try and win a championship and they'll see the lines again.
00:15:07
Speaker 1: It was crazy. I, by the way, I got Jared golf right now is my MVP. He's ball and 14 touchdowns. Him, Sam LaPorter, Gibbs, St. Brown, most explosive offense in the league. By the way, prayers up for Jack Campbell, man. He had a nasty injury, though.
00:15:25
Speaker 2: And you know what's crazy, bro? It's the third time we've seen him in the Lions history. You talk about thumbs up for Mike Utley. You talk about Brown, who was paralyzed temporarily. And now, you know, so prayers up. As a linebacker, we're always in that vulnerable position.
00:15:39
Speaker 1: Quickly, too, man, you talk about the Lions defense. Branch, D.J. Reid left foot. Branch just got back. That hurt. Concussion. D.J. Reid, concussion. Jack Campbell. Prayers up for him. But overall, this is a defense that, I mean, this team started off bad. Now, five and two, things are turning around for the Lions. So we'll see what happens.
00:15:56
Speaker 2: Moving forward.
00:15:58
Speaker 3: All right, it's time for biggest losers of the weekend. Now, we can either pick a whole team here or one particular player. So let's start with the Cowboys, shall we? One minute, go.
00:16:09
Speaker 2: I'm going to go that whole defense. I mean, what the hell are we? I'm running out of excuses. I mean, we know that Trey McBride is him, but he talking to Caleb Downs, nasty. Like you talk about the worst thing that ever happened to me when somebody saying, man, who are you looking at the back of my jersey? He said, yo, you a first rounder? That's the best you got?
00:16:29
Speaker 1: So the first half of this game, the Cowboys defense didn't play bad. They had a goal line stand. They was able to make some key tackles. Played well in the first half. The second half of that game, I don't know what the hell the Cardinals did come out of that halftime.
00:16:40
Speaker 2: You know what happened. The Minshew mania happened. Minshew got in the game.
00:16:45
Speaker 1: Kobe Brissett started the game, but Minshew came in the second half and lit they ass up. But this is what's crazy, bro. And hopefully you can help me with this. You let go of Michael Parsons so you can stop the run.
00:16:55
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:16:56
Speaker 1: You can't stop the run right now. You can't do anything remotely good. And by the way, the secondary of the Cowboys, probably the worst secondary in all of football.
00:17:05
Speaker 2: And they traded for Joy Porter. They got Caleb Downs. They got Bland, who at one point had 10 interceptions. They went out and got Clark, Quinnen, Rashawn Gary with the dumb move of the year. He head-butted the quarterback on fourth down.
00:17:22
Speaker 1: The Cowboys, they're three and five and they're absolute dumpster fire.
00:17:25
Speaker 2: The Cowboys, like the biggest winners of the whole weekend were the Jets.
00:17:29
Speaker 1: Can we show the George Pickens thing real quick? Can we pull that up?
00:17:32
Speaker 2: Oh, he hauled ass.
00:17:33
Speaker 1: I'll pull it up.
00:17:34
Speaker 3: Give me one.
00:17:35
Speaker 1: Quickly, I don't blame them. So they get the onside kick and it's under two minutes and they start marching down. Well, they had like three tight ends or whatever. Whatever they had on the field, who wasn't on the field was CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens towards the end of that game. And so George is like, fuck you, and runs off the field. That's a clear sign, son.
00:17:53
Speaker 2: Do they trade him?
00:17:55
Speaker 1: I would trade him. Send him to Kansas City.
00:17:59
Speaker 2: No, no, but the crazy part, you don't want to reward ignorant behavior, though. Right? You're going to go get what you get. We're going to suck. You know what I'm saying? But here's the crazy part, though, right? they're still right there to win the division. I mean, the Giants can run away with it, but did you see? You got any faith in the Eagles?
00:18:18
Speaker 3: No.
00:18:18
Speaker 2: Got any faith in the Washington Commanders?
00:18:20
Speaker 1: No.
00:18:21
Speaker 2: The Giants is the only stable organization in that division right now.
00:18:25
Speaker 3: And that's without their starting QB. It's wild, man.
00:18:28
Speaker 1: Right? It's a bad look, man, overall for the Cowboys, man.
00:18:31
Speaker 2: Horrible, horrible.
00:18:31
Speaker 1: This is rock bottom for them in my eyes.
00:18:34
Speaker 2: How about them Falcons? How about not completing the pass, Willie Chili?
00:18:38
Speaker 1: Well, the Bucs didn't complete a pass.
00:18:41
Speaker 2: Right.
00:18:41
Speaker 1: The Falcons end up with Michael Pendleton. Michael Pendleton ended up throwing four interceptions in this game. It was a muddy game.
00:18:46
Speaker 2: Why is he throwing in this game?
00:18:48
Speaker 1: Doesn't matter.
00:18:49
Speaker 2: Don't you got B. John Robinson? So wouldn't the team that should be able to win a game without having to throw the football, shouldn't it be B. John Robinson?
00:18:57
Speaker 1: You would think so, but I think when you look at it, man, the Falcons, to my– listen, they had four interceptions. They only– I mean, Bucky Irvin rushed for 170 yards.
00:19:04
Speaker 2: That's crazy.
00:19:05
Speaker 1: At the end of the day, the problem with the Falcons right now, they can't stop a cold.
00:19:10
Speaker 2: Is Bucky Irvin a mutter? Like, remember Gale Sarris, the six-touchdown game? Like, is he a mutter in that torrential downpour? Was he the guy– I remember Shady had a famous game when it was so much snow down and he looked like a guy– he was the only one with snowshoes on. Like, is Bucky Irvin him in the mud?
00:19:28
Speaker 1: Not even him. Kenneth Gainwell had a game too. Kenneth Gainwell had a big game. Bucky had a good game. Baker Mayfield, I mean, he had more. He was leading more blocks than he was throwing passes. He didn't complete a pass.
00:19:39
Speaker 2: Zero. First time ever in history.
00:19:41
Speaker 1: So now, but this is the thing. Now the Bucks are back in it because they're a half a game. I think they're a game back from the Panthers. And now this thing is wide open. So the Falcons had a chance. to kind of put the Bucs to sleep. Now the Bucs got life considering that this is a team that started 0-4 at the start of the season. So say what you want about the Bucs, you can't put them to sleep yet.
00:20:01
Speaker 2: They're second place.
00:20:02
Speaker 1: They're second place.
00:20:03
Speaker 2: Every team has three wins. So Panthers, the only reason they're there is because they didn't have a game yesterday.
00:20:08
Speaker 1: This was a big loss for the Falcons. They had the opportunity to flip this thing around a little bit. But the Bucs, credit Ty Bowles, man. Respect to Ty Bowles. It's hard to kill.
00:20:18
Speaker 2: Who's the last one?
00:20:18
Speaker 3: Hey, real quick here. Fun note with this no completions Tampa Bay game. The last time this happened, September 29th, 1974, the Buffalo Bills beat the New York Jets 16-12. O.J.? Joe Ferguson went 0-2.
00:20:31
Speaker 1: O.J.
00:20:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the OJ game.
00:20:36
Speaker 1: Yeah. Juice.
00:20:37
Speaker 3: One of the OJ games.
00:20:38
Speaker 1: What was the next one?
00:20:40
Speaker 3: And then check this out. Pre-Super Bowl era, November. This is the first time it ever happened. November 16th, 1941, the Steelers defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers.
00:20:49
Speaker 2: Brooklyn Dodgers.
00:20:52
Speaker 3: 14-7. They didn't even bother attempting a pass.
00:20:54
Speaker 1: Football was a basketball.
00:20:55
Speaker 2: That's when the ball was like a rugby ball. They weren't even made to grip.
00:20:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, no helmets probably back then, or at least those leather beef jerky straps.
00:21:03
Speaker 2: Or whatever they were wearing on their head.
00:21:05
Speaker 1: Uh, the next loser. Yeah.
00:21:07
Speaker 3: Next loser.
00:21:08
Speaker 2: Next loser. How about those? This two in a row. They said, they said that Patrick, my homeboy don't lose two in a row.
00:21:18
Speaker 1: Well, he did. And I think it's obvious right now. He doesn't have a number one receiver. And there.
00:21:22
Speaker 2: Well, Rasheed Rice was back.
00:21:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's not, he's not, you understand. If you think about all the numbers, like, so if you're Patrick Mahomes outside of Tyra kill, who's been the next dominant receiver you've had?
00:21:33
Speaker 2: Travis Kelsey.
00:21:35
Speaker 1: Receiver, that's a tight end. I'm talking about like a true outside, like let him go, let him fly. They haven't had that type of guy. So now at the trade deadline, you have to go get your guy if you feel like you have a legit chance to get back in this thing.
00:21:48
Speaker 2: But that's a failure on their part because they drafted Sky Moore. They drafted Worthy. These are all first-round draft picks. Rasheed Rice is a guy that they depended on. That's a them problem. They spent all their money on their offensive line. They gave it to their running back, and they gave it to Chris Jones. And, you know, I think what's crazy is they're out of corners. Like Delaney was out and Snead is out. So, you know, I think this could be fool's gold for Denver. I think when they see him again, it'll be a different outcome.
00:22:16
Speaker 3: This receiving core is pretty weak here.
00:22:18
Speaker 2: McColl Hardman is still here?
00:22:20
Speaker 3: Yeah, McColl Hardman Jr. is the third best receiver Mahomes has ever had. Just to let you know where we're setting the bar. Juju Smith-Schuster's on this list. Sammy Watkins.
00:22:30
Speaker 2: I wonder if they bring Juju back. Juju's out there, right?
00:22:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's still floating around. I think so.
00:22:34
Speaker 3: It's a pretty sad list for sure.
00:22:36
Speaker 1: But that's the thing. If you're Patrick Mahomes, you're like, dude, you got to give me somebody. And listen, they've been winning with what they have. But right now, they've played back-to-back two potential Super Bowl contenders, and they've lost those games.
00:22:49
Speaker 3: All right, I got a quick follow-up question for you guys. Is it on the quarterback to make the receivers better, or is it on the receivers to make the quarterback better? And I bring this up because, look, Tom Brady had some garbage receivers, and he got one of them to be a Super Bowl MVP.
00:23:04
Speaker 2: He had the greatest tight end of all time, maybe. One of the best offensive lines. And he has the greatest receiver of all time, too.
00:23:10
Speaker 1: Sure.
00:23:11
Speaker 2: Randy Moss. But, yeah, I know what you're saying.
00:23:12
Speaker 3: We're talking Travis Kelsey as the tight end, so replace it.
00:23:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, but Kelsey is 37 years old.
00:23:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, but here's the thing.
00:23:19
Speaker 3: But he's balling out this year.
00:23:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's– He's having a great year. He's Tony Gonzalez. Here's the thing. Like, I think the quarterback that has elevated more receivers than anybody in this league is Aaron Rodgers. You talk about we never heard of Jordy Nelson. We never heard of Greg Jennings, John Jones. Like, he had Donald Driver, and Donald Driver was older. That was more Aaron Rodgers guy. Like, Aaron Rodgers has made guys superstars. And they never drafted him a first round draft pick, ever.
00:23:51
Speaker 3: Yeah, here you go. Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb.
00:23:54
Speaker 2: Devontae Adams. James Jones, Donald Driver. But even if you go to Devontae Adams, Devontae Adams was a third, fourth round draft pick?
00:24:02
Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that.
00:24:03
Speaker 2: He made him great.
00:24:05
Speaker 1: Well, shit, he can't make DK great. DK can't catch a fucking.
00:24:09
Speaker 2: Goal right now. I mean, it's still his identity. Listen, this is what I love. It's going to be to win the division. It's going to be Metcalf wide open. He's going to run a great route. He's going to catch it like Rumpelstiltskin.
00:24:21
Speaker 1: I mean, listen, the Steelers' identity is running the ball right now. I mean, bottom line.
00:24:25
Speaker 2: Hey, Ty Warren, bro. I mean, Warren, man.
00:24:28
Speaker 3: No more Steelers talk on this episode.
00:24:30
Speaker 1: Oh, you need it.
00:24:31
Speaker 3: We're done with Steelers.
00:24:32
Speaker 1: All right. We're going to move along. It's time for Ballin' on a Budget.
00:24:37
Speaker 2: Man, that bell hurt, too, man. That bell like four pounds, bro. Bro, that bell hurt, man. You hit me by mistake before.
00:24:42
Speaker 1: I'm going to call HR.
00:24:43
Speaker 2: HR.
00:24:45
Speaker 1: We don't have HR here.
00:24:46
Speaker 2: Man, that belt like 50. First of all, how long is it? HR is in a different state right now, Bart.
00:24:50
Speaker 3: So it's going to take a minute.
00:24:52
Speaker 1: It's time for balling on the budget. Man, we got to.
00:24:57
Speaker 2: Start getting these damn shirts out, man. You're the producer. You're the leader. All right. So we got to send. Are we going to backdate these shirts?
00:25:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going to backdate these. We got to hook up the people.
00:25:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, everybody that got one of these shirts, we got to give it to them.
00:25:09
Speaker 3: All right, so Bart, we'll start with you. Who is balling on a budget for you this weekend?
00:25:14
Speaker 2: I mean, balling on a budget, man, he's making their team consider if he should be the lead dog. It's got to be Braylon Allen, man. Braylon Allen, 21 carries, 147 yards, a tub. You know what I mean? Like, he's making it look easy now, man. Show some speed. Show some athleticism. That jump cut, you know, circling the defense on the long run.
00:25:35
Speaker 1: Bye-bye, Brees.
00:25:35
Speaker 2: You know, we got Brees Hall right there, man. And I don't know how the Jets feel about where they're at.
00:25:40
Speaker 1: Once you submit it, they're going to trade him.
00:25:41
Speaker 2: I can't see Kansas City losing three games in a row. Does that mean the Jets will be 2-7? Then the Buffalo Bills, that could be 2-8.
00:25:51
Speaker 1: Yep.
00:25:53
Speaker 2: So if you're thinking we're going to be 2-8, like last year they did it. They gutted the team. I don't know how many times you can gut the team and still.
00:26:01
Speaker 1: Well, I don't think they're going to gut it. I think they're going to just let Brees go.
00:26:04
Speaker 2: Will McDonald and Brees?
00:26:07
Speaker 1: Will's tough.
00:26:08
Speaker 3: We'll talk about this a little bit more when we talk Jets hardcore.
00:26:11
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:26:11
Speaker 3: But back to Braylon Allen, who was balling on a budget here. I mean, he was already over 100 yards on the ground before the first half even ended.
00:26:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, man.
00:26:19
Speaker 3: He was definitely balling.
00:26:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, he had like 120 by halftime.
00:26:22
Speaker 2: And it's not like the Bills have a great offense, I mean, great defense either.
00:26:28
Speaker 1: Well, you're right.
00:26:28
Speaker 2: And you can't just load the box on Geno because Geno threw for a lot of yards too.
00:26:32
Speaker 1: So my ball in on the budget is Tyla Aguirre. Tyla Aguirre has been around for some time. He had a big year last year with the Falcons, and now he's with the Cardinals. 11 carries for 147 yards, a touchdown, five catches for 44 yards, and a touchdown.
00:26:48
Speaker 2: Led the comeback, basically.
00:26:49
Speaker 1: He had two, I think he had two breakout runs. He had two. Over 50. Over 50. So he had a monster game. The offensive line for the Cardinals is sneaky good.
00:26:57
Speaker 2: Bro, who's that dude with the mullet hanging out, bro? That dude was running like.
00:27:00
Speaker 1: He was rolling goddamn Caleb Downs.
00:27:04
Speaker 2: All I heard was. Man, for that first one, Caleb Downs already got trash talked by Trey McBride, saying, you a first round draft pick? This dude, all I heard when he was running is, life is a highway. I won't ride it all night long.
00:27:21
Speaker 3: He's got the name to match, Jennings Dunker.
00:27:24
Speaker 1: No, Jennings Dunker's played for the Steelers. That's not that guy.
00:27:27
Speaker 3: That's not that guy?
00:27:28
Speaker 1: No, that's another guy. I forgot the guard. It was a guard. He actually wears the captain. He's a center of guard.
00:27:32
Speaker 2: Brother.
00:27:33
Speaker 1: He wears the captain's patch. But he rode Caleb down a street like goddamn cheap carpet. It was bad.
00:27:39
Speaker 2: I've never seen a dude block somebody twice. Caleb thought he was athletic because he can roll and get up.
00:27:45
Speaker 1: It looked like when them little kids be playing at the water and the wave comes over and the kid stands up and the wave washes his ass back over.
00:27:53
Speaker 2: Then he got a booty block too at the end. So, oh boy, he saw Caleb Dahl get done dirty. He tried to sneak him in the back. But that's life in the league as a rookie. What was your welcome to the league rookie moment? I mean, I think like hitting the wedge against the Lions.
00:28:09
Speaker 1: What happened?
00:28:09
Speaker 2: I was like, they different. Bro, I was facing the other way. All my chin strap exploded. My ear pads popped out.
00:28:15
Speaker 1: Who hit you?
00:28:16
Speaker 2: The whole wedge. I was a wedge buster. I didn't take names. They were nameless, faceless people.
00:28:24
Speaker 1: And so you just got your shit cracked open.
00:28:25
Speaker 2: Man, that's when you used to be at a whole hands as the line and the wedge was all lining. And like the little wing back, it'd be like a D-tackle. He the athletic one.
00:28:36
Speaker 1: I remember my welcome was, I think it was against Trevor Price.
00:28:39
Speaker 3: Oh.
00:28:40
Speaker 1: What happened?
00:28:41
Speaker 2: I remember my welcome to the NFL moment.
00:28:43
Speaker 1: Which was it?
00:28:44
Speaker 2: I was against the Lions. I got two sacks and like the dude was like, so I thought I was going to go in there again. He was leaning down like this. And I thought, oh, this is open. I go in there. He came off of that. Hoo-hey!
00:28:57
Speaker 1: You talking about that line?
00:28:59
Speaker 2: They were on a combo. Yeah, they were on a combo block. And I was blitzing, and he was blocking down.
00:29:03
Speaker 1: Oh, you didn't think he saw you, and you fired. Yeah, and I was running.
00:29:05
Speaker 2: He went, wah!
00:29:07
Speaker 1: Hoo-hey! Smoked your ass. You deserved it.
00:29:10
Speaker 2: Cold-blooded.
00:29:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, Mons was against Trevor Price, man. I remember my first start in Pittsburgh, Trevor Price hit me with that inside rip. From river to main, you can't get through it. I put all my weight on this man. Like I damn near like sank down to try to hold him down and he carried me to Ben and knocked Ben over. And I remember standing up and Ben got the ball off, thank God. But I remember standing up and looking at my sideline And you know how, like, if you ever look at the sideline, all the position groups stay together for the most part. So it was like the backup office line and Russ Grimm was my office line coach. And I stood up and I looked at him and all of them was like. And I got to the sideline and I'm sitting down and I'm sitting on the bench. And Russ, you know, at the time they didn't have tablets. It was like these little sheets, these little printed sheets they used to kind of just flip through. And Russ, you know, he says his one-two to the line, takes his headset off, he looks me right in my eyes and goes, I don't give a fuck if you got to block that motherfucker backwards. Don't ever let that happen again. And I remember saying to myself, I'm going to die out here. I'm going to die for this shit. So needless to say, we lost that game, but we fought like dogs. Classic stealer, Ravens robbery.
00:30:30
Speaker 2: All right.
00:30:31
Speaker 1: That's a muddy but fun week eight recap. We're going to come on back. Bart and Willie. Welcome on back. This is Bart's segment.
00:30:40
Speaker 2: New segment alert.
00:30:41
Speaker 1: We did it last week. We talked about- It's a lover's edition. The Knicks fishing emails with the whole championship ring debacle. Bart, this one is you lead it off. What the fuck? What are we talking about?
00:30:54
Speaker 2: Yes, this is the What the Fuck Love Edition. This was inspired by Miss Alopecia herself. Keep my motherfucking wife name out your motherfucking mouth.
00:31:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, Jada Pickett.
00:31:04
Speaker 2: So disrespectful. So now, you know, you talk about Jada Pickett. You talk about Will Smith. They're on the outs, right? And Will's living his best life. Got a new thing on his shoulder. But man, you talk about the... the epitome of rubbing salt into the wound.
00:31:19
Speaker 1: Yes.
00:31:20
Speaker 2: Not only did I had to live with the life and the death of Tupac, I got to live with my wife going to Halloween dressed as Tupac? Thug life on the chest?
00:31:34
Speaker 1: Now, is this AI or did she really dress up like this?
00:31:38
Speaker 2: No, brother. If it's on the internet, it's true.
00:31:41
Speaker 1: Okay, I believe you.
00:31:42
Speaker 2: So that's what we rolling with. She dressed up as toothpick Shakur?
00:31:46
Speaker 1: Toothpick.
00:31:47
Speaker 2: Because she ain't Tupac, she toothpick. Toothpick Shakur. This lady has been trolling this man and just won't let this man live, man. The dude that you love more than me, you going to sit up there and dress like him?
00:32:01
Speaker 1: I hate it for Will Smith because Will always takes the high road. He never talks bad about Jada. He tries to keep it very....
00:32:10
Speaker 2: You see that? That's Easy Sniper. That means it's real. He commenting on it. If it wasn't real, then somebody would have came at Easy Sniper.
00:32:17
Speaker 1: I can't think about who's, like, is she one of the worst Hollywood wives of our time? Is that a fair assessment?
00:32:24
Speaker 2: What she been doing to Will on that and Red Table is worse than Robin Givens saying Michael's abusive.
00:32:31
Speaker 1: Well, also this, like Will Smith has been seen with some young, fine Latino things. She got a big old donkey on her. supposedly the girl's 23 years old, so Will's been seen walking around holding hands with this girl.
00:32:40
Speaker 2: The man ultimately wins. How? The man ultimately wins because it's not too many young men at this stage that's going to rock with Jada. You know what I'm saying?
00:32:51
Speaker 1: I mean, she banged August Hostina, who's like 20 years old.
00:32:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, but that was 10 years ago.
00:32:56
Speaker 1: Right.
00:32:57
Speaker 2: I mean, you know what? I take that back because Will Smith's mama is bad as hell. Jada's mom is bad.
00:33:04
Speaker 1: Oh, she's still a pretty girl.
00:33:06
Speaker 2: Would you still give it to Jada's mom?
00:33:09
Speaker 1: I don't know how to answer that, honestly. What are you talking about?
00:33:12
Speaker 2: Well, we always know about my affinity about Claire Huxtable. Oh, you're into moms? No, Claire Huxtable my whole life. I've agreed with you. Felicia Rashad is the most pretty woman I've ever seen in my life.
00:33:23
Speaker 1: I think Felicia Rashad is a queen.
00:33:25
Speaker 2: Right, but what I'm saying is, would you still go at Like her mom, like is her mom still like, you know how like you see Caitlyn Jenner, you know what I'm saying?
00:33:34
Speaker 1: I'm not dating Caitlyn Jenner.
00:33:36
Speaker 2: No, no, what I'm saying is you see her with a young dude, right? Would you still go at Jada's mom?
00:33:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, she's still, she's an attractive woman.
00:33:44
Speaker 2: She's got it, what is she, like 70? She got to be 70 because Jada older than us.
00:33:48
Speaker 1: Roughly, yeah. But the issue right now, so this is the thing.
00:33:51
Speaker 2: Right there, that's a shot. Would you still go with them buns?
00:33:54
Speaker 1: I mean, she's still attracted to them.
00:33:54
Speaker 2: If you weren't married. No, would you still go after them buns?
00:33:57
Speaker 1: Yes.
00:33:57
Speaker 2: If she offered you like, my kiss, my kiss. Are you going in there?
00:34:01
Speaker 1: Yeah, I would slide like Silver Surfer. Yeah.
00:34:05
Speaker 2: How old is she? How old is she, Nutter? Because them tight titty. Well, this is the problem. So this is one of the reasons why Bart brought this up. So you had Jada Pickett-Smith dressing up as Tupac, right? You also had Ayesha Curry, who's now, she has a show out, a movie right now. Man, she been trolling Curry.
00:34:24
Speaker 3: 73, by the way, Barney, 73.
00:34:25
Speaker 2: 73? She young.
00:34:26
Speaker 1: Right, so Ayesha Curry has come out with a movie, and she's the leading lady in the movie. And supposedly, I guess the guy who she has a love interest with is somebody who she was, that was her sweetheart in high school.
00:34:41
Speaker 2: Did they kiss in the movie?
00:34:42
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:34:43
Speaker 1: I imagine so. It's a love movie.
00:34:45
Speaker 2: Bro, but if it's a love movie and you kiss your ex-boyfriend, he probably kissing you for real?
00:34:50
Speaker 1: Well, I think Ayesha Curry has come out and said, listen, man, as much as she enjoys being Steph Curry's wife and being a mom, she doesn't want that to be her whole identity. She wants it to be a situation where she's seen for her talents and her creative, you know.
00:35:06
Speaker 2: So she did a movie.
00:35:06
Speaker 1: With her ex? Yeah.
00:35:09
Speaker 2: Oh, Roku?
00:35:10
Speaker 3: Yeah, this is her high school sweetheart.
00:35:13
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
00:35:13
Speaker 2: So you know he hit.
00:35:15
Speaker 3: Second Chance Holiday, they called it.
00:35:18
Speaker 2: Oh, my God. So you know he hit.
00:35:21
Speaker 1: So this is the point I'm saying. You know he hit. We've seen most of the Hollywood wives live this troll game that's not being exploited. Okay, Willie. That's not being talked about enough.
00:35:30
Speaker 2: I got to put you in the cooker. So you're doing a movie with somebody that you used to date. It didn't end bad. Y'all still, you know, whatever. So now you're doing a movie with him. You doing the sex scene, you got the sock on your Johnson, but then you remember what that thing feel like. And you sitting there kissing and making out.
00:35:51
Speaker 1: What? What do you want me to say?
00:35:54
Speaker 2: Are you getting wooded up?
00:35:56
Speaker 1: I'm going to get wooded up regardless. If it wasn't, I mean, if it's a woman, it's a woman.
00:36:00
Speaker 2: Like, it's going to be one of those things where they're like, oh, sir, cut, cut.
00:36:03
Speaker 1: So my wife, so it's funny you said that, because my wife did some acting. She's an actress. She's an actress. And she's done, you know, she was on the Bernie Mac show. She was on Entourage. She's done a lot of stuff. And I asked her, I was like, how real is a lot of this stuff? She's like, you don't, she's like, you don't have time to, like, you really just, whatever position they put you on, they cut you. It's all this stuff that goes on. So you really don't get, but then I see my other boy, shout out to my boy Deval Ellis. I heard him talk on the podcast one time. You know, when you're getting hot, the men do get aroused. So I don't know who to believe.
00:36:37
Speaker 2: Monster Ball. You don't think Billy Bob Thornton got his money's worth?
00:36:41
Speaker 3: You've got to think this, Willie. Any guy is going to get excited about any situation.
00:36:45
Speaker 2: But you hit this before.
00:36:46
Speaker 1: That's automatic.
00:36:46
Speaker 3: But women, they're surrounded by all these dudes and crew and cameras and lights.
00:36:51
Speaker 1: But this is the thing. So about the situation, I'm pretty sure she had to tell Steph this is who this guy is and what's going on. And if Steph would have been like, nah, I'm not comfortable with that, she would have had a problem with that.
00:37:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, like, oh, why can't I be professional?
00:37:06
Speaker 1: You block my.
00:37:07
Speaker 2: Out of all the people in the world you can do a movie with, call Second Chance Christmas. Who made that title?
00:37:13
Speaker 1: Oh, real cool, by the way.
00:37:14
Speaker 3: You want me to read the tweet from Steph here?
00:37:16
Speaker 1: Yes.
00:37:17
Speaker 3: My leading lady. I get to see the work behind the scenes.
00:37:20
Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
00:37:20
Speaker 3: And now the world gets to see you shine, and this is just the beginning.
00:37:25
Speaker 2: Come on, Kirk. Are they making a third chance, you?
00:37:28
Speaker 1: Come on, Cuck Curry. Is Steph Curry a cuck? Curry tripping.
00:37:33
Speaker 2: He must've got caught cheating or something.
00:37:34
Speaker 1: So let's put ourselves in his shoes. Would you allow this?
00:37:37
Speaker 2: Hell no.
00:37:38
Speaker 1: You said no? No.
00:37:40
Speaker 2: Hell no. First of all, your ex, your high school sweetheart, you not about to just be hanging out with him and talking to him. He dead to us. Anybody that ever touched the butt cheeks of my wife, you know what I'm saying, did things that I do. Can't never see her again.
00:37:53
Speaker 1: When I was in high school, we don't know if they really got down like that in high school. We were crazy in high school.
00:37:59
Speaker 2: Bro, me and my girlfriend every day before school, after school, that's when a man is at the height of their juice.
00:38:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, I used to.
00:38:05
Speaker 2: Man, that's when you're going through puberty. You wake up, you're talking about you trying to get hardwood. Bro, you wake up hardwood all day. I used to walk around the high school hallways with my dick pointed straight up, tied with my belt. If somebody were to lift up my shirt, they would have saw the head of my penis.
00:38:20
Speaker 1: I believe you.
00:38:22
Speaker 3: On top of putting his.
00:38:24
Speaker 1: Dick on safety.
00:38:26
Speaker 2: It was already caught.
00:38:28
Speaker 1: Dick on safety, walking the halls. So you've been doing this. So this is not like an NFL thing. You've been out here with your dick out. For a while, I thought this was just a league thing. Since the age of 13, you've been having.
00:38:41
Speaker 2: I lost my virginity at 13. Mine's too.
00:38:45
Speaker 1: That's why.
00:38:45
Speaker 2: That's why I look at my 13-year-old son like, what are you doing? But never mind.
00:38:49
Speaker 1: He ain't getting no cakes. Not these.
00:38:50
Speaker 2: They don't even think about cakes.
00:38:52
Speaker 1: No, they're like, I want to get a Pokemon. No, you're right. I was clapping a lot of cheeks after high school. In high school, after school, to the point where it was routine. I would clap cheeks and we would order Chinese food together.
00:39:03
Speaker 2: I did sometimes. You're clapping cheeks. We'd clap cheeks in the... We had the keys to the room. We'd go to the second pool, clap cheeks in school all the time.
00:39:12
Speaker 1: Oh, you wild, wild. See, I went to all-boys school.
00:39:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was an abandoned pool. Detroit Southeastern. So it was the second pool. Oh, but it was abandoned. Yeah, it was abandoned. But they used to keep the high jump mat in there.
00:39:28
Speaker 3: Imagine if there were cameras back then.
00:39:30
Speaker 1: Then.
00:39:30
Speaker 2: Nah.
00:39:31
Speaker 1: This is a young, skinny-necked Bart Scott walking around with his dick on safety, walking through the halls. So I feel bad for Stafford and Will Smith, man. I can't believe it. I kind of do. There's no win for them in this situation.
00:39:47
Speaker 2: Do you feel bad for Clay- Why? I mean, he had Megan Thee Stallion.
00:39:53
Speaker 1: He broke her.
00:39:54
Speaker 2: Yeah. Clay has a hidden roster, man.
00:39:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, but Megan never did nothing to him. Clay was like, nah, I think you may be too little hood for me. Hold up. You think Megan was faithful? Well, she doesn't have, I guess, a resume of being faithful.
00:40:10
Speaker 2: I mean, she let that dude party. She let Tardy to the party do. She let that dude defend her. But I don't think Klay's the victim in this story, though. No, what I'm saying is she let Tardy to the party, I think, just live.
00:40:22
Speaker 1: Party Fontaine.
00:40:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, let him live. All along, she knew that Tory Lanez had hit. Yeah. And just left him in the dark about what the situation was about.
00:40:33
Speaker 1: I don't have a lot of empathy for Klay because Klay is going to continue to live his best life. He's down in Miami.
00:40:38
Speaker 2: Oh, he's down in Miami, bro.
00:40:40
Speaker 1: And he drives a boat like Klay's the man. But for Steph and Will Smith, I do have empathy for. Because it seems like they always get the bad in the stick. There's no bright side.
00:40:53
Speaker 2: She's just been talking reckless. You're talking about what he's done business-wise, raised a beautiful family, and for you to have regrets. What do you have to complain about? You've lost your identity, so now you're going to get it back on Roku?
00:41:06
Speaker 1: Listen, we've both been in the league, and we both have been around men who have decorated resumes, made a lot of money, and their wives' identity is wrapped around them and their family. And a lot of these women come, have degrees, have their own money. was married into a situation where they're not seen anymore. And so now this is an opportunity while their husbands are kind of on the back nine of their careers. They feel like I want to come out and show the world what I'm capable of. And some men have a problem with it. Some men don't. It doesn't seem like Will and Steph have a problem with it. But I think to the outside world, it's like, well, the Steph and Jada situation is wild to me. That's crazy. Aisha Curry, I don't understand. I can understand her situation. her will to kind of show what she can do and what she can do.
00:41:50
Speaker 2: She wrote the cookbook. She's doing her thing. Steph don't step in her way. Like, I mean, listen, he's about to retire in the next five years. You got all this money. You got a half ability to go do whatever the hell you want to do. I mean, like, like, uh, CC wife, Amber, Amber stepped out, did her thing. Ain't nobody bothering her. She did it the right way.
00:42:09
Speaker 1: All right. So that's what the fuck Mondays for us. What you got?
00:42:12
Speaker 3: Can I pitch you guys a movie real quick?
00:42:14
Speaker 1: Yes.
00:42:14
Speaker 3: This is a Steph Curry original Roku movie. I'm going to pitch it to you guys right now. It's called Three in the Key, and it's where Steph Curry rebounds to find love after this relationship.
00:42:24
Speaker 2: I like that.
00:42:25
Speaker 1: I like that.
00:42:26
Speaker 3: We doing this?
00:42:27
Speaker 1: I like that.
00:42:28
Speaker 2: Steph needs to do that, and he needs to bring some mythical people up there.
00:42:31
Speaker 1: Three in the Key.
00:42:32
Speaker 3: Let's go.
00:42:33
Speaker 1: And he got to have that sex scene like DMX and Belly. He has to get one of them sweaty.
00:42:40
Speaker 2: Nah, nah. He needs to be Vin Rames and Baby Boy.
00:42:42
Speaker 1: Oh, that's greasy. Little bunny, bunny, hop, hop, fuck, fuck. I got that.
00:42:46
Speaker 3: All right.
00:42:47
Speaker 1: We're going to take a break. Come on back. Welcome on back. It's time for the big discussion. Lamar Jackson is officially out for the season due to a horrible thumb injury he suffered yesterday against the Buffalo Bills, man, on his first throw, by the way, which sucks.
00:43:03
Speaker 2: Bart, where do the Ravens go from here? I really don't know because Tyler Huntley got turf toe. And, you know, as somebody who's had turf toe multiple times, that's a multiple week injury. type of injury. But then you look at, you know, so now you're down to one quarterback. You have to try and sign some guys. Can you trade for Gardner Mitchell, who's a guy who can keep the game going? Or do you trade.
00:43:29
Speaker 1: For Tyler Bajan?
00:43:32
Speaker 2: Like, who can you get? Who's out there? Do you bring Joe Flacco home? They're not going to help you in Cincinnati. They're not going to help you bring back Joe Flacco.
00:43:40
Speaker 1: Josh Johnson's with the Bengals, too, so that sucks.
00:43:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, so where do they go? Do they try and make a trade for Tyrod Taylor? Bring Tyrod Taylor back. He's been there. You need a mobile quarterback that's a professional quarterback. You know, he started his career. No, hell no. Like, quit playing. Like, Mariota?
00:43:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, they're not going to give him up.
00:43:59
Speaker 2: They love Mariota. He's the captain out there.
00:44:01
Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? But they're not going to give him up because, shit, Jaden Daniels is injury prone himself, so they need somebody.
00:44:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's like the Ravens are in a rock and a hard place. And then you talk about Lamar Jackson, whose contract situation is unique. They weren't able to figure out a– I got.
00:44:13
Speaker 1: A name for you. Who? Go get RG3.
00:44:17
Speaker 2: Man, stop it.
00:44:18
Speaker 1: He's been talking about he wants to get off. He's talking about he still has it. He's been training. He still wants to get back into football.
00:44:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's Phillip Rivers. Dude ain't played in five years, bro. I'm just saying. The Ravens aren't going to become a circus to some stuff like that.
00:44:32
Speaker 1: Well, the issue right now, on a serious note, this is a window... for the Ravens to get out of the Lamar Jackson experience. Because right now you're.
00:44:42
Speaker 2: Talking about- But why would you want to get out of Lamar Jackson's experience?
00:44:44
Speaker 1: Here I go. So since 2019, his rookie year, he's missed 21 games.
00:44:50
Speaker 2: Correct.
00:44:51
Speaker 1: Back-to-back seasons, he's missed 16 games. So now you're talking about in 2027, his cap goes up to $ 84 million. Right. You can't reconstruct a roster that's deficient when you have that on your books. So as we move forward, Now you have an injury-prone quarterback. The window for the Ravens to win the Super Bowl looks like it's closing, not solely because of him, because you have offensive line deficiencies, your defense can't hold up, and the one guy who's pretty much the engine to your whole operation is injury-prone. You can't win with him, and you can't win without him on the field. So what do you do? Derrick Henry can't tote the ball to victory. He can't will you to victory. He's just not that type of running back. So where do you go from this? And you don't, by the way, how I see it, You make a move to go get at least a Jacoby Brissett.
00:45:40
Speaker 2: No, come on.
00:45:40
Speaker 1: I'm telling you, dog. You make a move to go get a Jacoby Brissett or somebody like that. Who at least gives you enough stability where you don't have to go pay.
00:45:49
Speaker 2: To do what?
00:45:50
Speaker 1: Bro, you can't win with Lamar Jackson right now, dog.
00:45:53
Speaker 2: That's not true.
00:45:53
Speaker 1: It is.
00:45:54
Speaker 2: Just because you have some unfortunate injuries back to back. These are freak accidents. These aren't like accidents that you'd say.
00:46:00
Speaker 1: Bro, he hurt his hand. That was his throwing hand.
00:46:02
Speaker 2: Right, right. He's going to have surgery. We've seen quarterbacks do this before. But what I'm saying is you don't give up on a two-time MVP that's, what, 29, 30 years old?
00:46:11
Speaker 1: Okay. So what do you do then?
00:46:13
Speaker 2: You say, man, we just got to figure out the long-term contract. You don't let him go. You didn't let Ray Lewis go. You let Jonathan Alden go.
00:46:21
Speaker 1: You didn't reconstruct. You reconstructed his contract. You didn't extend him this year.
00:46:25
Speaker 2: What my point is.
00:46:26
Speaker 1: For me, that was a sign.
00:46:27
Speaker 2: My point is that's because Lamar was betting on himself, hoping that he can get like a Super Bowl. So now the advantage in the.
00:46:34
Speaker 1: He doesn't have. What leverage does he have?
00:46:35
Speaker 2: Right. That's what I'm saying. And negotiate. Well, the leverage is that it's a million other teams that will take him if you don't want me. Right? Okay.
00:46:42
Speaker 1: So that's what I'm saying.
00:46:43
Speaker 2: I'm making this a Baltimore Raven issue. But the Ravens, I think you get it done at all costs. You don't let him walk out of that.
00:46:49
Speaker 1: Even with the injuries, now the torn thumb?
00:46:51
Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care. I mean, with the torn thumb, he probably can't even come back this year.
00:46:56
Speaker 1: You have a young head coach and Jesse mentor, Declan Doyer. At the end of the day, this is a window you have to, if you're the Ravens right now, how long are you going to hold on to somebody that hasn't been able to hold up for you? Forever.
00:47:08
Speaker 2: Forever.
00:47:09
Speaker 1: Forever?
00:47:10
Speaker 2: I'm not letting Lamar Jackson walk. Hold up. So Cincinnati let Joe Burrow go?
00:47:15
Speaker 1: You think Joe Burrow?
00:47:16
Speaker 2: No, no, no. Should they let Joe Burrow go?
00:47:18
Speaker 1: But who's ripping the benefits from it right now?
00:47:20
Speaker 2: Joe Burrow has gotten hurt four out of his six years.
00:47:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's also.
00:47:24
Speaker 2: You know, he's got season-ending injuries four out of his six years, and they still rocking with him. So why would you give up on Lamar Jackson if the Cincinnati Bengals, you're not saying the same thing about Cincinnati Bengals. And Burrow's younger than Lamar, and he's been hurt more, missed more seasons than Lamar.
00:47:39
Speaker 3: Willie, check this out. Nine notable documented injuries across college and NFL for Joe Burrow. Look at this list.
00:47:47
Speaker 1: This is bad. But this is my argument.
00:47:48
Speaker 2: ACL, MCL, PCL.
00:47:50
Speaker 3: But look, starting in 2020, up through 2020.
00:47:53
Speaker 1: But this isn't about just Lamar Jackson.
00:47:55
Speaker 2: It's about comps.
00:47:56
Speaker 1: It's about comps, and this is about the roster. Right now, you can't win with what you have. Joe Burrow's playing at MVP level. You know the issue with the Bengals. Hold up.
00:48:05
Speaker 2: Lamar Jackson is a two-time MVP.
00:48:07
Speaker 1: Former. And he should be three. Former, but he's not playing like that this year. Because he got hurt. Right.
00:48:11
Speaker 2: Hold up. Who leads the league in quarterback QBR? Jared Goff.
00:48:16
Speaker 1: No. Lamar Jackson. How? In quarterback QBR?
00:48:21
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:48:23
Speaker 1: I got to check that. I don't know.
00:48:25
Speaker 3: Right now it's saying Brock Purdy.
00:48:26
Speaker 1: Oh, Brock Purdy.
00:48:27
Speaker 3: But that's probably taking into effect this last game, right?
00:48:30
Speaker 2: Right. Lamar Jackson is like right there. I heard the stat.
00:48:33
Speaker 1: He's not even a top. Bro, I heard. He's not even a top team.
00:48:35
Speaker 2: Well, I heard the stat earlier. Like he's one of the leaders in a quarterback metric. You know what I mean?
00:48:42
Speaker 1: We're looking at it right now, Bart. That's not true.
00:48:44
Speaker 2: It's not that one. Bro, I heard it.
00:48:46
Speaker 3: This is QBR.
00:48:47
Speaker 2: Right. It's other stuff. Yeah, but it's other stuff, man. Like, Lamar Jackson is right there. He was playing better than anybody before. He just missed games. It wasn't that when he played, he wasn't playing at a high level. I'm telling you.
00:48:59
Speaker 1: So if they were to let go of Lamar Jackson, which I feel like they should, or at least attempt to, they got to figure it out. Because I don't know how you take on an $ 84 million cap. No, you can't.
00:49:10
Speaker 2: That's unattainable. You can't do that. But Lamar understands that, too. Ain't nobody going to take that. Ain't nobody going to say, well, let's sign and trade. The thing would be is to walk away without him, you know, with him injured. Just pull up Lamar's stats. But what I'm saying is, like, the same way you wouldn't let Joe Burrow walk out of the building no matter how many times he's been hurt and how many season-ending injuries he's had, you're not letting a generational talent like Lamar Jackson, go away.
00:49:42
Speaker 3: Here's his five games played so far this season. He's at 70.1% completion per attempt, and he's got almost 1,000 throwing yards, six touchdowns, only one interception.
00:49:54
Speaker 2: 70% completion rate.
00:49:55
Speaker 3: This is a heck of a passer rating, 118.4.
00:49:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a passer rating. It was a passer rating thing. He's number one in the league in passer rating.
00:50:03
Speaker 1: Like, what are we talking about? I'm not saying Lamar Jackson's a bad quarterback. I'm not talking, I'm not, I won't dare to say that. What I'm saying is right now, if you're, if you look at the division right now and you talk about the Baltimore Ravens getting back to what they were Do you feel like he can get you there?
00:50:18
Speaker 2: Yes. Because when he plays, and just because somebody gets hurt, like Fred Telly's get hurt all the time, don't mean that they're going to get hurt all the time. Sometimes you just have a bad run where you just can't stay healthy. You know that better than anybody.
00:50:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been on back-to-back hours, so I understand that.
00:50:32
Speaker 2: So you're not letting Lamar Jackson walk out of that building because who do you replace him with in the history of football? Outside of Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, there's nobody else that's been better when they play.
00:50:42
Speaker 1: Maybe.
00:50:43
Speaker 2: Maybe. I mean, we'll see. And it's a thumb. Thumb of a heel.
00:50:46
Speaker 1: His throwing hand. It's not his non-throwing hand.
00:50:47
Speaker 2: Hold up, but you don't think he'll never be able to have enough grip strength once he has surgery?
00:50:50
Speaker 1: We don't know how people recover from it. I'm not going to say he can't throw.
00:50:54
Speaker 2: Michael Pettis came back from three ACLs, but we talking about he ain't going to be able to tighten his fucking thumb up.
00:51:01
Speaker 1: His fucking thumb. Two different conversations. You're talking about knees to a throwing hand. He got four other fingers, man. And the thumb ain't cut off.
00:51:11
Speaker 3: Why are you looking at me like you're going to attack me?
00:51:13
Speaker 2: Look at Willie. Because I can't believe that this dude is saying that, oh my God, we got to get rid of him. His thumb, he tore a ligament in his thumb.
00:51:21
Speaker 1: I'm talking about between his injury history, a roster that needs reconstruction, and now you're talking about your two-time MVP quarterback down with a thumb injury right now.
00:51:30
Speaker 2: Does the roster really need construction?
00:51:32
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:51:33
Speaker 2: The defense is horrible. But they still have building blocks. Meta BK.
00:51:39
Speaker 1: Coming off a neck injury. Just got back on the field. Kyle Hamilton. Only bright spot.
00:51:46
Speaker 2: Wiggins. Roquan Smith.
00:51:48
Speaker 1: Come on, you know he's on the back now.
00:51:51
Speaker 2: All I did was watch Ray Lewis, like London Fletcher.
00:51:54
Speaker 1: Ray Lewis, London Fletcher, not Roquan. Two different people, though.
00:51:58
Speaker 2: Demario Davis is freaking 37 years old. Who you think is a better player? Last year, Demario Davis, what? Did Roquan? Do you think Roquan was traded for a first round draft pick?
00:52:09
Speaker 1: Yes.
00:52:10
Speaker 2: I think Roquan is a better player than Demario Davis.
00:52:12
Speaker 1: Okay.
00:52:15
Speaker 2: I'm crazy?
00:52:16
Speaker 1: I think so.
00:52:17
Speaker 2: Let's go to the, all you have to do is look at the Pro Bowls and the All Pros.
00:52:19
Speaker 1: I think you need more help on your roster. You don't have a number one receiver. Mark Andrews isn't that guy. Derrick Henry.
00:52:24
Speaker 2: You don't have a number one receiver. Zay Flowers.
00:52:26
Speaker 1: Zay Flowers is not a number one receiver. Zay Flowers is not the one.
00:52:29
Speaker 3: This dude was leading the.
00:52:29
Speaker 2: League in receiving. He missed the whole game. He's their only option. Willie, you've been smoking that hat, man.
00:52:33
Speaker 1: No, I haven't.
00:52:34
Speaker 2: It's just my opinion. You've been smoking that hat. He's not a number one. Zay Flowers, they just gave him $ 140 million, brother. Just because you get.
00:52:40
Speaker 1: Paid like that doesn't mean you're a true number one receiver. He's a slot.
00:52:43
Speaker 2: Bro, he's at 600 yards receiving.
00:52:45
Speaker 1: He's their only guy. What else do they have?
00:52:47
Speaker 2: It don't matter. It's him and Rashad Bateman.
00:52:50
Speaker 1: Nah, dog.
00:52:51
Speaker 2: No, Jacoby Lane is somebody they're really high on that broke his wrist, the rookie. Jacoby Lane is right there. What are you smoking, man?
00:52:57
Speaker 1: They don't have that, dog.
00:52:58
Speaker 2: This dude is averaging 15 yards a catch.
00:53:00
Speaker 1: That's all they have. You just said he wasn't number one. He's not number one. They're treating him like.
00:53:04
Speaker 2: A number one.
00:53:06
Speaker 1: Hold on, guys.
00:53:06
Speaker 3: He's the Ravens number one.
00:53:08
Speaker 1: That's my point. He's the Ravens number one. He's not a true number one.
00:53:12
Speaker 2: Tell me this. Okay, listen. Jazz Sin is leading the league in receiving, right? At 867 yards.
00:53:17
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:53:19
Speaker 2: Zay Flowers missed the whole game.
00:53:21
Speaker 3: And he's only about 200 yards behind.
00:53:23
Speaker 2: And he's only 200 yards away.
00:53:24
Speaker 3: If he has a 150-yard game, he's right there with him.
00:53:26
Speaker 2: He's top five, right? And meanwhile, we talked to a dude that just talked about, will he be a number one on the Pittsburgh Steelers?
00:53:32
Speaker 1: No, we got DK. DK Metcalf. Who, by the way, dropped his shit. He dropped his own damn balls. He just came here.
00:53:41
Speaker 2: See, I can tell Willie just came here for violence and to argue. Because no way, man. Stop it. I'm just telling you.
00:53:47
Speaker 1: I don't see him as a number one. We got to throw some cool water on this.
00:53:49
Speaker 3: Let's get to the Jets. We got to have another big discussion here because this week is worthy of two. So let's dive into the Jets here.
00:53:56
Speaker 1: Time to talk about the motherfucking Jets.
00:53:59
Speaker 2: The bad part about this, Willie... is that we find ourselves in a similar position. We were optimistic right before they played Miami. We thought they were going to be 4-4 and maybe go 500 and figure it out from there as they continue to get healthy. But we find ourselves in a similar position where now we're starting to look at draft picks college quarterbacks. We're talking about Mensa. We're looking at the Jets. Man, the best thing that happened to the Jets yesterday, they lost. Their pick moved up. The Indianapolis Colts lost. That moved up. The Dallas Cowboys lost, and they moved up. The Jets currently have three first-round draft picks within the top ten. We're saying, we know that the teams that are behind them may still win more games. Miami's a team that's above them. They play Miami next week in South Beach. They just took you know, the Patriots to the brink, to deep water. So they could lose to Miami and then be picked two, five, and four.
00:54:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, I get all that. I think my biggest frustration, this team is too talented to be where they are right now. Correct. And I think when you look at going into this season, thus far they've beat teams they should have beat and they've lost to teams they should have lost to, but it's in the fashion in which they lost to these teams and that makes you frustrated. I think overall right now, When you talk about them defensively, and we talked about it on the show, this defense was built to stop the run. They've been absolutely horrible at it. And so now you look at another aspect of this defense that's failed is that's ability to get after the quarterback. They can't do that. By the way, yesterday, Aaron Glenn played a lot of man. He went back to what he did in Detroit, and it still failed him. So I'm not saying Aaron Glenn is a bad coach. Yes, he's had some game management blunders. Yes, the defense has regressed over the last three weeks. But at some point, man, I don't know if we're being honest about what this roster is.
00:55:55
Speaker 2: We got beat by two tight ends.
00:55:57
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:55:57
Speaker 2: Like, we went man to man. And we need to figure out what's going on with Nashawn Wright. You talk about a guy that led the league in interceptions last year that can't, on a struggling defense, can't even get on the field. Can't even dress.
00:56:10
Speaker 1: But I'm also looking at a team that's, like, I just don't get why we don't have the guys that make the splash plays. Like, why we don't– like, when we watch– week after we watch other teams, we see an interception. We see a big-time tackle. We see a forced turnover. We see things. And collectively, as a unit, we don't see that. Now, Geno had one of the best games he had all season yesterday against the Raiders. Offensively, I think we'll be fine. I'm not really worried about the offense because they showed yesterday they can be explosive.
00:56:39
Speaker 2: Special teams in defense.
00:56:40
Speaker 1: And Omar Cooper continues– you know what I mean? He didn't have a good game. He didn't get a target yesterday. He didn't get a target yesterday. So, what I'm saying, we have enough– I'm just worried about– Two things you know you need in this league. You need a run game and a defense to travel with. And right now we only have one side of that. Now, to your point, you add special teams. So we don't have a special teams and we don't have defense.
00:56:58
Speaker 2: Well, you know in this market they use your words against you. So when you say that doing something is your superpower, they're going to use those words and they're going to use it against you. And, you know, Aaron Glenn picked this roster for the most part, brought in DeMario Davis, drafted Bailey, traded for Sweat, drafted Jackson.
00:57:17
Speaker 1: Brought in Phillips a year before. Who's having a bad season, by the way.
00:57:21
Speaker 2: Signed in Barre.
00:57:22
Speaker 1: And I like Phillips as a man.
00:57:24
Speaker 2: But they signed in Barre. They signed Joseph Asai.
00:57:27
Speaker 1: Can't find him right now.
00:57:28
Speaker 2: Can't find him at all. And you talk about they signed him to big-time money. So you got to take accountability for what you brought in and the fact that they're not producing. And the noise is only going to get louder in this market, man, because now people, I think, are starting to realize, man, that we're probably going to lose the next two games. And where are we at? It's like the season's over with. Our opportunity and beliefs that we can maybe sneak in as a wild card is gone, right?
00:57:54
Speaker 1: I heard a stat. I don't know if it's true. I think I heard a stat this morning. I was listening to the Raiders ran a kickoff back to the crib. I think that had to happen in 15 years in Raider history. Yeah. Which is nuts.
00:58:08
Speaker 2: Do like a count, too. Like, it's funny. Him and Bob was looking like they got the same hairline. They're like old, aging white men.
00:58:14
Speaker 1: I just feel bad for the Jets because I don't– listen, a lot of people think Aaron Glenn is going to be gone.
00:58:18
Speaker 2: Pull Dylan Lane. Pull his profile pic up.
00:58:20
Speaker 3: By the way, 15 years, yes.
00:58:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, went back 15 years.
00:58:23
Speaker 3: October 16, 2011, first time for the Raiders.
00:58:25
Speaker 2: And it's the first one this year.
00:58:27
Speaker 1: Right, first time.
00:58:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what's wild.
00:58:29
Speaker 2: Well, I mean, well, the new kickoff– Because his new kickoff stuff is weak. Yeah, it's weird.
00:58:32
Speaker 3: No more Devin Hesters. That's all. That's a thing of the past. Who do you want me to grab?
00:58:36
Speaker 1: Stats.
00:58:36
Speaker 2: No, no. Bring up his face.
00:58:38
Speaker 1: Lane.
00:58:39
Speaker 2: Like, that's who returned the kick on you, man. Dude, like somebody's base softball coach.
00:58:45
Speaker 1: I also, from this standpoint, man, Aaron Glenn, I think, is out of answers. And I think we witnessed it yesterday. Because he's done everything, I think, in his willpower or his schematic bag to put on display, and nothing's come from it. And so now you brought in these aging veteran players who look like they're getting older every time they lose. Talk about a defensive line that was built to stop the run, can't do that. And at some point, man, I know we talked about this as the trade deadline comes along.
00:59:14
Speaker 2: Strong chin.
00:59:16
Speaker 1: You also have to realize, man, what assets can the Jets trade away that makes sense for the Jets right now?
00:59:21
Speaker 2: I mean, I think they have all the assets they need. They just have to figure out what to do with them. I think you hold on to your assets because you're hoping that you can add them Like last year was when you get rid of assets. Now you have three first-round draft picks in the top ten and one of probably the most decorated draft in recent history. I mean, you got war daddies. You talk about the quarterbacks alone, but you got war daddies coming out from corner, D-end, D-tackle. They're all over the place. And, you know, if you're going to be bad, you know, that's why I think, you know, you're looking at teams like the– eagles and stuff like that they're like let's sell off man because this is a good year to be bad.
00:59:58
Speaker 1: Yeah yeah i don't know i i want listen a lot of people want aaron glenn fired i don't know if i want him fired i don't know if i want i don't know what to say about.
01:00:08
Speaker 2: It i mean the thing is like frank right the offense looked good yesterday against a bad defense but we'll see.
01:00:13
Speaker 1: Are you can you admit again on our podcast that you you're going to be the reason why frank right got fired Because you called for a fullback belly. He ran it last week, and he got stopped in the backfield.
01:00:23
Speaker 2: That don't mean you still don't come back to it, just because something don't work. Because Mason Taylor. The problem is you can't have the tight end trying to cut off a D-end slant.
01:00:32
Speaker 1: For the worst, and another thing, we've seen, there was three or four teams that ran the tush push yesterday. For some reason, we just refused to do the tush push. We saw it with tight ends. We saw it with running backs. We've seen it with everybody else. Just won't do it.
01:00:48
Speaker 2: Bro, we saw Kirk Cousins coming off an ACL injury get tush-pushed.
01:00:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, bad. So Jets are currently 2-6 on the year. I never saw this year being this bad. I just didn't. Maybe I was just too optimistic coming into the season.
01:01:04
Speaker 2: Ross is too talented for you to believe that.
01:01:06
Speaker 1: It's bad. All right.
01:01:07
Speaker 2: We're going to take a break.
01:01:09
Speaker 1: Come on back. Monday Night Football is here. The Chicago Bears, who are currently 5-2 against the Seattle Seahawks, who are 4-3, surprisingly.
01:01:19
Speaker 2: Surprisingly, they're defending champs.
01:01:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought they'd have a better record. Why is that?
01:01:26
Speaker 2: That's true.
01:01:28
Speaker 1: Anyway, Chicago Bears just acquired Jeffrey Simmons due to trade, and the Seahawks just acquired Quentin Nelson from the Colts via trade. Bart, who you got?
01:01:39
Speaker 2: I'm going with the Seattle Seahawks, man. I think they found something last week. Sam Darnold played a lot better. JSN is tearing the league up. I don't think anybody has an answer for them. Jeffrey Simmons can try and put some pressure on Caleb, but Caleb's ability– I mean, I'm sorry. Jeffrey Simmons can try and put some pressure on Sam Darnold, but JSN is just a walking bucket. You talk about Nelson and Simmons can't get away from each other. They just played each other with Tennessee and Indianapolis. You know, both guys ended up on the right side of this trade. They're in a position where they have opportunity to play for a title after being, you know, teams that's going to be picking high in the draft. You know what I mean? I just think that the defense is going to be able to get to Caleb, and we haven't seen anybody get to Caleb. But if anybody can, it's going to be this defensive line. You know, Leonard Williams and crew, they just shut down Caleb Williams' clone in Patrick Mahomes. and a guy that's able to run around, throw off platform, make the magical plays, and able to hold him in check. I don't think that Chicago, and I don't think Chicago can run the ball on Seattle because Kenneth Walker, we thought, could run the ball. He was tearing the league up, and he couldn't run the ball against the Seahawks. I don't think that the Bears will be able to run the ball against the Seahawks either. Yeah, I got the Bears in this game.
01:02:53
Speaker 1: I think they're just probably one of the most explosive teams in the league right now. I think right next to the Detroit Lions, they could put up, points at bunches obviously i think caleb williams is playing on the mvp level i think offensive line wise they're going to be up for the fight i understand that you know lynn williams and brian murphy and that whole crew and emma warren all those guys the all dogs i don't i don't discredit none of that but i also think right now ben johnson's going he has a way of getting in his bag for games like this so i think he's gonna like for christ's sakes if anybody paid attention to the vikings and lions game They would have saw Amon St. Brown lined up 20 yards.
01:03:26
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:03:26
Speaker 1: That was wild. That was wild for a screen and convert the first down. Like, I see Ben Johnson having that type of, you know, them type of tricks tonight to impact the game.
01:03:36
Speaker 2: All right. Remember that guy over there, head coach, is one of the best in the business when you talk about defensive schemes.
01:03:43
Speaker 1: And Mike McDonald.
01:03:45
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:03:45
Speaker 1: Well, Dennis Allen's been in this bag, too, so I'm excited to see. Obviously, Jeffrey.
01:03:48
Speaker 2: But he ain't got no horses.
01:03:50
Speaker 1: Maybe. But I think Jeffrey Simmons, that whole crew, I think it'd be a big spark plug for the Bears defense. He'll be going against Quentin Nelson, so that's a matchup I'm paying attention to. I just like the Bears. I like Caleb. I don't trust Sam Donald right now. I've watched too many of his games in the last two weeks where he's turned over the ball in crucial situations.
01:04:09
Speaker 2: Jalen Johnson, who's struggling against JSN. Got it.
01:04:13
Speaker 1: Yeah. We'll see.
01:04:14
Speaker 3: Does it matter this game's in Seattle? 12th man?
01:04:18
Speaker 1: Oh, I mean, it's always, I mean, 12th man is a dog. That's the one state I've never played in. I've never played in Seattle.
01:04:23
Speaker 3: No games in Seattle.
01:04:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I got the Bears, Ben Johnson, Caleb. I like the fact that with the weapons we got out there, I know JSN and Sam Donner have been able to do. The Seahawks run game has been spotty as well, too.
01:04:37
Speaker 2: But it won't be spotty against a horrible defense that can't stop nobody.
01:04:40
Speaker 1: We'll see. We'll see if they can't stop nobody. We'll see you tonight, Bart. You talk with conviction. That don't mean you right, motherfucker. I understand your conviction. That don't mean you right. Anyway, this was fun. Monday.
01:04:53
Speaker 3: Tires came off the show today. Tires came off the show.
01:04:56
Speaker 1: Well, anytime you start talking about Bart and Lamar Jackson, he gets, you know, his panties get up in a bunch.
01:05:01
Speaker 3: Tires got sliced today.
01:05:02
Speaker 2: Oh, we love Diva. Yeah, yeah. It's going to cost me some money, but, you know, hopefully they give me a good price.
01:05:07
Speaker 3: That's all right.
01:05:08
Speaker 1: That's all right. We'll see what happens.
01:05:09
Speaker 2: All right.
01:05:09
Speaker 1: This was fun. Bart and Willie. Till next time. Peace. This has been a Playmaker Production.
