How do you build a life you're not living yet? How do you prepare for a future you can't quite see without spending all your time optimizing, planning, and trying to get there?
Somewhere between thinking about all of this and recording an episode from a hammock, I started to wonder if I'd been asking the question for so long that I hadn't noticed I was already living part of the answer.
We also get into my complicated relationship with fiction, my newfound desire to enter creative worlds without needing them to teach me anything, and what happens when you stop asking every experience to get you somewhere.
Maybe there's a way to build the life you're dreaming of while actually enjoying the one you're in.
