Join me as I embark on an eye-opening journey through the intertwining worlds of politics and personal growth, inspired by my husband's candidacy for state representative in Kentucky. As we navigate this unexpected political landscape, I share how my priorities have shifted, leading to a temporary pause in my business and podcasting ventures. This experience has not only introduced new responsibilities at home but has also offered valuable insights into balancing family life with political campaigning, just as the election day draws near on November 5th.
Listen in as I explore the crucial importance of political engagement and the personal conflicts that arise when balancing professional and political commitments. Through candid reflections, I discuss the internal struggle between supporting my husband's campaign and continuing to grow my business, ultimately finding relief in prioritizing personal values. Despite facing external judgments, I underscore the privilege and freedom of living in a democratic society, emphasizing the need for informed voting and active participation in local politics to shape a better future.
Discover the significance of inner work in overcoming fear-based decision-making, particularly in the context of political discourse. I share experiences from canvassing, highlighting how reactions often stem from fear rather than informed choices, and stress the importance of shifting to a growth mindset. Through personal anecdotes and historical examples, I illustrate the urgency of preserving democracy and personal safety. This episode serves as a heartfelt reminder of the privileges we enjoy and the ongoing responsibility to protect and expand our freedoms for a safer and freer society.
