Three Point Pod - DeAaron Fox Fumbles Game 4, Knicks 1 Win Away, NBA Season Coming to an End

Bradley Vaughan: Welcome back to another episode of the three point pod. I'm your host, Bradley. With me, the crew, young Yeremy. Yes, sir. Griffin Wade. Yepity steppity. Dill Nellin. Yepity steppity. Good start. Yeah, like that, Dill? I thought it was terrible. Hey, good to see ya. We had a we had to push back this episode a little bit. ⁓ June is a competition month for high school sports and I'm a coach, so I have
Dyl: Yo, what's up fellas? Yepity steppity. That's a new one. No, I loved it, man. It's good to see you boys, man.
Bradley Vaughan: basketball every single day. So Coach Bradley's about to take the the J V team to state to the state title. Yeah. There's n you know there's J V state now, Dill. I'm just fucking with it. That'd be kinda sick though, wouldn't it? No. Best best J V team? Those are the best days of my life, dude, on J V. Everybody has more fun on J V. I don't know who everybody is. I loved it.
Dyl: Is that actually a r a true thing? You guys playing with me. ⁓ okay. I so so no it had to be a joke. I don't say I I don't I don't think I did. Did you? Did you Griff? Huh? Yeah. That is a fact.
Bradley Vaughan: I I feel like no. Hey Dale, I loved it. No. You can shoot whatever you want on J V and there's no consequences. I'd rather score two points in varsity than ten in J V. ⁓ no. I don't I don't I don't think so either. I don't think so at all. Dill feels me. It's a comp it's it's a competition thing. If I'm scoring two points, I probably don't need to be up there. ⁓ no. You can you can have five, six rebounds. That's good. Three, four assists. A couple charges. Well that's your game, not mine. Well you don't want to score as many points. What's your game? I don't have one anymore.
Dyl: No you know, you're not vib you know, you're not vibing that
Bradley Vaughan: I mean, you know. Facilitate. I'm just a facilitator these days. Yeah, Mickelob Ultras and Yeah. Mickelob Ultras and Montzzarella sticks. That's about all you're facilitating nowadays. Dude, bottomless apps are gone. Yeah, we enjoyed it last night. Last night. Watched watch De'Aaron Fox just absolutely throw my life away. We watched the Knicks do what we all thought was gonna happen all year. No one thought that's win the finals. Yeah, we're gonna change the podcast name to ⁓ the De'Aaron Fox Hate Club.
Dyl: True playmaker? Okay.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah. I'm not in that. You should be. I've been hated him though, so like this ain't even now. He's gotta be gambling, right? Yeah, so is Wimby with those two missed free throws. It don't matter, they weather the storm.
Dyl: Yeah, Z definitely hates him. Yeah. That that last that last little s little stand that fourth, it kinda looked like he was selling. But as a whole team, that was bad though. That
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ extremely bad. What twelve straight three pointer missed or something?
Dyl: W it was that was terrible. Wimby was bullcrapping. The coach didn't c wanna call no timeout.
Bradley Vaughan: Dude. Twenty to four run, you're like, okay, now I'll use a timeout. After we flashbacks at Rick. Yeah, Rick was bad with that. I actually s I saw a pacer fan, he was like, I'll never take Rick for granted after watching that game. I will. My thing's like they're all just inexperienced. Like that's Mitch Johnson's first year, isn't it? Yeah, bro, but like so he was he was on the s I know he's on the staff, but I think he was finally as head but
Dyl: I don't know. I don't know what was going on, man. That that was terrible to see. Yeah. It was a I think this is his first year, yeah.
Bradley Vaughan: I mean I think I don't know what I know sometimes you try to let your players just play through struggles, but at some point you you're in the garden, you have to call a timeout, man. The the thing is is like the Knicks quite literally or I'm sorry, not the Knicks. The Knicks did quite literally miss everything in the first half. The Spurs did not. Like they just did not miss like you I had a little icky feeling, I'm not gonna sit here and be like, I knew the Knicks were coming back, 'cause when you get down that much, but it
Dyl: You have to, bro. It was rocking in there. That's a fact too. ⁓ yeah, we knew that 'cause that I lost my house. I no I gotta put it up for sale. 'Cause that bet you gave me to
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah. This is my it was my first one that I I I I I almost had to ask you what the thought process was though. I mean every game this first come out hot. Yeah. Every game in the playoffs this season. I'm gonna d I'm doubling down on this next one. Griff Griff gives Dale ⁓ first first quarter moneyline Nicks and Knicks are down like thirty eight by the end of the first quarter. This guy Dill's like text me like midway, he's like they better get going, buddy.
Dyl: Done lost my crib messing with Griff, man.
Bradley Vaughan: I'm I'm sc I'm scratching my head like eating these chips with chili con queso like damn it man sorry deal bro what did the the Spurs score thirty points in the second half? Yeah because they scored a hundred and seven the first half they used all of it. Did you see their team over with a hundred and six points? And they scored a hundred six points. That's crazy. Vegas is unreal. Like I just don't understand. I just wanna see someone who works there like
Dyl: Already. No, that that's unreal. That is. I didn't know that.
Bradley Vaughan: Go through their process of how they make these lines because it's dead on every single time. Hey Keelan, can we get a graphic of Deer and Fox with a prize picks hat on? Thank you. Get a make an OG and Anobi statue. No, though. That's the tip. Can we all agree that's finals MVP? Yeah. Yeah, that's my finals MVP right now. I mean, how do you he's got he's got twenty less points than Brunson on fifty three less shots. That's that's that's insane.
Dyl: That's very true. Him or Bronson for sure, bro. I wouldn't be mad. That's unreal, bro. If it wasn't for him in that game yesterday, bro, he was making some big shots, bro, to to keep him in the game. And I'm like, yeah. And that fourth quarter came, bro, they made the run.
Bradley Vaughan: Right, he missed like he missed like two shots and he scored thirty three points. He's ridiculous. He's literally like a player that every team in the league would take immediately on their team. Brunson, he quite literally gets in this mode where and like I understand he's he's by far the next best player. But like he gets in that mode where he's not passing no matter what. And it's insane. When he does like that, like in out, like drives to the lane, two guys like come on him like
Dyl: Yes, but For sure. ⁓ no.
Bradley Vaughan: Two guys two guys collapse on ⁓ Two guys collapse on ⁓ Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It came right out. And and the guys go next many people garden them or something. Man I'd even say nothing.
Dyl: I'm You already knew I already didn't go say nothing. You you caught yourself. You good? No, you good. The two people guarding him, yeah. I know what you t I I know, I know I s I see. No, I see that I didn't even No, you s yeah, I didn't say a damn thing. You looked at me, no, I didn't say nothing.
Bradley Vaughan: Nah, I it was it ⁓ it w it was your smirk, man. It just I I will say I saw you texting about that. Jalen Brunson's like selfishness, but also like he needs to be to a certain point. I agree, but like I think when late in games, like his fourth quarter games in this series, like he has been playing good, but in the fourth he's been like extremely good. So I I don't know if it's like, hey, like you're the guy like No no no You're no one else is taking this shot besides you, you know, but I didn't like the look. But I know like Wimby was alarm on that last shot, so it's like I have to pull this from way deep or I'm not gonna be able to get a shot. Yeah, he carried them through the well, I mean him and OG through that comeback, but you know
Dyl: Facts.
Bradley Vaughan: I don't know. Like fourth like the last couple minutes, they know that you want to shoot the ball when and when two defenders come your way and collapse, like he had he had so many more better looks than Yeah, and Fox double teamed for some reason too. Yeah, I wasn't I was gonna ask you about that, Dill. I know it it is I will say it is pretty common for people not to guard the inbounder. But I feel like once he steps back in, then you have to like realize where he's at. 'Cause obviously Fox was on OG. OG passes it in, but feel like at that
Dyl: Confused. That's the truth.
Bradley Vaughan: Fox immediately sprinted to Brunson, but would have just left Wimby on the island with him. Yeah. Like at that point. Like if it's somebody else, but like OG is a re like he's a good rebounder. Like that's not someone you leave. Yeah, but like I know it is like common prior like people say I just worried about cat and heart. Well, I mean, let's be honest. You're you're you're putting a body on cat and heart. I mean truthfully too, like he he hit it with his fingertips. Like that was it was it was kind of lucky.
Dyl: That's what I was confused on. He literally just took off and ran over there. I don't I don't know what that was, bro.
Bradley Vaughan: But it was like the hell hundred percent effort playing. Yes and no. You know? Yes and no. I bought that tops card today. What? ⁓ you're you're talking about the last play of the game? Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ Like obviously like the like he flies through, splits Vasel and Harper and I mean it's really just like a smack, but I mean it was it was an amazing play. But I was telling him I there's a top scar no no no. The there's a topps card that came out today. It's a final shot. It's like a finals moment card they've dropped.
Dyl: But with the whole like what happened?
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ but they're giving a one on one out with the final his finals patch on his jersey and his signature on it and they're like you have like a zero point zero zero zero obviously percent chance to get the one on one. But like the rock guy th I bought the regular card too just to show you if I could get it. It's like eleven bucks. Who is it? ⁓ that OG tip? ⁓ it's OG. So I was like Tops dropped a card with his signature and ⁓ the his finals patch. I was like, that'd be kinda cool if I but I thought you were talking about the who do you think you are I am? Yeah, I see you remember that clip? That bowling clip? The Pete Weber, the bowling dude? He's Who do you think you are I am?
Dyl: That's why Yeah, that was hard. Which one? Yeah. No I
Bradley Vaughan: He's an older guy. He's like screaming at the crowd. It's hilarious. It's like the best bowler ever, and he had like a comeback story, and he's like talking trash to everybody that's like watching. But yeah, he had like a graded PSA ten out of ten. He signed like that whole saying it's funny. But yeah, no, I got that I bought an OG card today just to see if I could get lucky, maybe hit the lottery, change my life. No kidding. That car is going on bid immediately. ⁓ yeah.
Dyl: No, I gotta see the I see that. Sure, that's fire though. Immediately.
Bradley Vaughan: That'd probably be like the highest selling role player card ever. Like you know a Knicks fan's paying a Knicks fan's gonna pay well over a million dollars for that card. Yeah.
Dyl: That's a finger is true. Top dollar. ⁓ top dollar for that. For sure.
Bradley Vaughan: Dude. Those ticket prices like ⁓ you got your money's you got your ⁓ you got your money's worth last night though. Like I don't even care. Bro, I wonder if anybody like how many people left. You know I was thinking the same thing. I wonder how many people left when they went down about like twenty five and a third. Pete Spurs flashbacks. I better get to be able to spend the night. I'm not leaving the arena.
Dyl: Hey, I was just thinking about that. Right. Man, if I if I pay that much, I'm there from the from fr from when they come out ⁓ the totals to to when they leave, bro. Eleven eleven thousand is in the nosebleeds, man.
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ I'm knocking on that door three hours before I can they even open the doors to see if one of those doors is open to get in. They said they stayed like three hours after the game was over. Yeah, I I bet. I I for that one. I'm I better get to play ⁓ if I'm spending fifty bands on a seat. Dude.
Dyl: Rad. Them fans are fucking crazy.
Bradley Vaughan: The he yeah, they made fifty six arrests last night after the game. Like they just go out and start they just go out and start beating people up. Like like a ⁓ yeah. That too. I can't say what I would have done if the Pacers would have won it all. Because I it's not like I'm the most sane person, but we go we go downtown and start beating people up. That's what the Knicks that's what the Knicks fans are doing. Griffin's thinking about it. I think he might actually. No.
Dyl: Did y'all see the throw the the eggs? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You're not just gonna go just find someone and beat ⁓ up, Griff. You Bro, the did you s the cops are like letting them fight ⁓ too and then they would be like, okay, then they'll break it up. I was like, d they're actually letting them whoop them.
Bradley Vaughan: Dude. I will say that that that tough edit video of that Spurs fan with the Duncan jersey on just mollywhopping all those Nick's people that were like trying to jump him. Did you see that? I did see that. He's just They kinda like they like they kinda let him live too. Like he got up and like walked away. That was pretty tough. I just I just don't know what they're doing. Like why are you beating people? Yeah, like could you imagine going to jail because of that? Well then like losing your job. I mean like
Dyl: I did see that one too. That's what I'm saying. But I thought it was at first when I first watched the video, I thought it was them fighting a Spurs fan. They were fighting each other. Like that's why I'm like, Yeah, that's what is going on? That's why I said, This is crazy.
Bradley Vaughan: I think they are at this point. Like I think this fans are just flying and they're just start fighting each other at that point. Should have taken the last shot. No, Dill mentioned it though. You see that Wimby gets smacked by the egg? ⁓ I did, dude. You said someone said someone said that's so sick, because now he's gotta walk all the way back to his hotel room with egg yolk coming down his head.
Dyl: Bro, then they was they gave him the finger. I'm like, these people are fucking nuts, bro.
Bradley Vaughan: And he's like not even the type of guy to turn around and say anything to someone. ⁓ yeah, he he'll say some. I feel like dude Victor is freaking No, he's w he's a dirty player. Like at these last two games, I'm like, this guy is like. He's like high fiving his teammates when they like hurt peop people on the other team and stuff, like telling them good job. I think he hates this country. I don't think he hates it, but I I mean he played that way in France too. Like obviously it's more physical, so
Dyl: In fact they went. Yeah, he is loving that. He's definitely loving that.
Bradley Vaughan: I think he just translates it here 'cause you can't really do any of that here. When you say you mushed Jalen Brunson, I don't know why I thought that was the funniest thing. Like just the mush word was hilarious. Mushed him. Hey. Honestly, no one's gonna talk about it, but the Mitchell Robinson elbow kinda ⁓ he did get one. Only good things happened after that. What Jose Alvarado's saying it's a l somet Sometimes you gotta
Dyl: May you. Bro, he pushed you like he was a little toddler, bro. That's not like was hey I was about to say that is true Griff. He shot horrible since that time that time that happened. He played terrible.
Bradley Vaughan: Sometimes you gotta knock it out of ⁓ He wasn't really though, like it that was cra that first half, like what Harper that that ⁓ that where he picked a ball up randomly and did a three sixty layup. Did you see that?
Dyl: Yeah. Facts.
Bradley Vaughan: Zeke, you were loving that. Do you remember that? What? Jesus, kid. Do you remember that? Please tell me you do. What did you say? I was You were only like two ultras deep, I think, at that point. I mean You really jumped up in your chair. Dude, I don't know what you're talking about. The Harper three sixty layup. ⁓ yeah. I didn't hear what you said, that's why I sort like high fiving me and rubbing my hair. I did not do either of those things.
Dyl: He needs more playing time too though, bro, at the end.
Bradley Vaughan: I mean Bill Dill, when did you learn time management in basketball and when to pull a ball out when it's a one point game? ⁓ man. Middle school. I I Here goes Havin Fox on the podcast. Well I don't think I'd want him on. I that's real nice. I wouldn't want him on here. He he said too many things before this episode. That's already out the door. I may have to just have him I mean, what'd I tell you guys before the playoffs?
Dyl: Very early, yeah. Like I just feel like that was I don't know why you shoot that, bro. I don't I don't know, bro. No. I I don't think the guy across from you, ⁓ Griff would lo would love that either.
Bradley Vaughan: I told you that Castle and Harper are one hundred times better than that guy. Castle is shooting the bed late in games too. That's not getting talked about enough. I feel like they all are, besides Harper, and they for some reason well No, honestly, Keldon plays his best ball late. I would have Keldon. No, no. Keep that guy on play. He's been horrible, but like Castle He's literally unplayable. That's why it's Harper.
Dyl: Yes. Hey, Harper threw a turnover too though. He has been playing bad, but
Bradley Vaughan: Is it giving you What's crazy is when I watched him like three or four years ago, and obviously the Spurs were in a way different ⁓ you know, situation, and it's a little bit easier to play better when you're not as good and when you don't have as much competition around you. But watching Kelden like three or four years ago, like he was pure, like he was a pure basketball player. And then he just got a little stockier and he went six man in probably the worst six man race ever. Who even else was in that race? I I don't know. Genuinely can freaking
Dyl: I couldn't tell you.
Bradley Vaughan: We scola and No. Maybe like regular season, but my thing is Dylan Harper didn't really figure it out 'til later in the season. So I think that just hindered him a little bit. How's your ninth man win the b sixth man award of the year? They also they have to get Champagny out too in late game. Like they're late game five. Should Champagny should not be in it. Like Dylan Harper needs to be in and then I guess it would be Keldon or Harrison Barnes or something, but like you
Dyl: Is is he the best six man on his team? I that's that's how I deal with that. Ha ha ha.
Bradley Vaughan: Gotta keep champagne. He can't guard anybody. What's your what's your guys' thought down there? I I I I could get critiqued for this. But I feel like you could honestly run Cornet at the center and just run Wimby at the four. I think that's what they need to do. I they need to look into that next year. Like that is rebounding on pure no inside no inside scoring for the Knicks. The problem is once they get tired though, they don't have any big like on their bench. So there's just I think that's two tired guys out there and
Dyl: I w I don't think that's not that's not a bad
Bradley Vaughan: But I feel like when you have Wimbi Wimby, you don't That's their gonna that's gonna be their main point of emphasis this offseason, I think, is finding a five. 'Cause Wimby's not a five. Like he plays the four, he doesn't play inside. He's not, but he has to be. He does the thing is I don't think he has to be. He can be at times, but like he wants to play outside so much, like in this Kevin Durant role that like if he wants to do that's fine. He doesn't want to play inside as much, but you have to go find somebody like Don't you think he plays inside though for what he is a lot? For what he is? Like I mean, I I don't think
Dyl: Roomy's definitely not a five. Yeah. Recently I don't think he has.
Bradley Vaughan: Well, Kat's a tough matchup for him because Kat you gotta think where he catches it though, if it's not a lob, Wimby's catching that ball like free throw line extended, like at the elbow. So like his work starts there, but
Dyl: Which I think is fine for him. They like you said, they just have to get a big. Like if that and I think that'll be okay.
Bradley Vaughan: Like I think they need like an Isaiah Hartenstein. They need a five that Giannis and Wimby. I mean I if Giannis wants to accept the five roll, it work. But it's like he Wimby just has to get downhill with so much that it I think it hinders him a little bit. Like he can't he never I've never seen him actually just post up on the block and like demand the ball. ⁓ I've seen him during a Well I mean I'll see him in like a dunker spot, but like I wanna see him actually like work his way down, push back. He ain't push he ain't pushing cat though. He ain't pushing cat. I said that
Dyl: He shoots a lot of jump shots. Nah, you know.
Bradley Vaughan: I said to the group yesterday, I was like, Kat has like actually shocked of how like strong he's been against what Big Mew All right. I'm a big purr. Big purr, man. I love that dude.
Dyl: Big Pur Nah, Big Pur be played, he's been playing good, man. He's been playing super well. Especially like on Garden Wimby. Yeah.
Bradley Vaughan: He said Like like he's like he's I love I love that he's like embracing the role of like okay I don't have to force. Like we've seen him get after it scoring in this series, but he's not forcing. He what he's most concerned about is stopping Wimby and rebounding. Yeah. Like I've I've appreciated that a I think the Spurs team too is like obviously Fox will be a contract dump. Like not just 'cause he's bad but like they have what they want in Dylan Harper. He's gonna be their point guard in the future. So it's like Fox probably go to Brooklyn, they'll dump his contract, whatever.
Dyl: She did yeah, that's too Yeah. Definitely.
Bradley Vaughan: But Brooklyn. Yeah, Brooklyn's. They've like already been saying it. He said he was already to death in Sacramento. He's a nugget. But I mean, like, we said it too. Like they're a young team. Wimby is twenty two years old. Like see that's I think that's why I'm harder on De'Aaron than I'm Wimby. Like Wimby's a a kid in this game. Like But this is a tough role for Fox. Number one, he's coming up now. I'm not I'm gonna say it, Zeke, but I I don't excuse it 'cause if you're in
Dyl: He he sent he sent he sent him to die, Griff, in Brooklyn. They'll be back. I think they'll be back though, for sure.
Bradley Vaughan: Playing in the playoffs, you're you're healthy. Okay. I agreed. I agreed with that with Tyrese when people excuse Tyrese's poor f performances last year. If you're playing in the playoffs, y you're healthy. But he's not healthy, I don't think. Like he like he rolls his ankle. You he grabs his ankle all the time in this series. ⁓ and this is a really weird role for him, like. Which is why, I mean, they they need to probably s separate, but I mean I feel like it when
Dyl: No, I don't think he is.
Bradley Vaughan: Early on he helped he helped Castle a lot early in the playoff series with like against the Thunder this first couple rounds. Like Castle could not handle the ball. But I think the way Dylan Harper stepped up throughout the playoffs, you're like, okay, I kinda feel more comfortable with those two main and man and the team. And I just D'Aaron man, I just I'm hard on him because like he's supposed to be this vet and it's like you're kind of playing selfish a little bit. I he is young, but like Well, this is his first
Dyl: He's still young too though. That's what he He's young too. I don't know, man.
Bradley Vaughan: But I don't I mean this is everyone's first one. They just dribbling outside play in your half court until eight seconds left and then you're sprinting towards the rim, do your midi fade, midi pull. Like it was a bad shot. Then you pull up three, like James Harden stepped back, horrible shot. Like it ball sticks in his hands a little too long. Like I feel like he hasn't really played off the ball well for the Spurs. And like if he's
Dyl: Yeah. And what you're just saying is facts. Cause like that's what I was thinking with Mitch. Like he wasn't calling like no plays like down the stretch. They were just letting him ISO at the top. Like it was not going well. He was missing every time.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah, it w it it it did work in the first half, but the second half it when things tightened up
Dyl: The second half it was it was not going. They gotta get a play or something going, bro. That was
Bradley Vaughan: And like you're not really he can shoot the three, like he hit he hit his threes, but I'm not really too worried for him off the dribble three pointer versus like he's not the best three points. Like you his damage getting down. Like you know he's gonna get downhill, so like I'm gonna give you a step 'cause I know obviously you're faster than me. You're one of the fastest players in the league. But I'm gonna give you a step and then I know you wanna get back to your spin f spin fade pull. So like I s we kind of see it coming a little bit and it's just I just he just forced a lot of shots and I just killed the Spurs momentum.
Dyl: Yeah, that he really didn't have to, man.
Bradley Vaughan: Dylan Harper didn't shoot the last ten minutes of the game. Dil, how like watching that play where Fox picks the ball up and goes up, is there any part of you that feels like you would ever do that in that kind of moment? Like for me, I ⁓ I honestly feel like I w there would be a part of me that would.
Dyl: Well yeah I would too, but I know he's seen who h what was next. If it like Brunson or someone like that, I I would go up with it. But if it was like Mikhail, OG, I'm not I'm I wouldn't try it. Like I would just go back out.
Bradley Vaughan: I know I w yeah. I know I would have pump faked. Like I'm either getting fouled or he's jumping right past me and I'm laying it up. But ⁓ it's just like he had the ball landed in the perfect place for him to do that. And if you Well's they also land in the perfect place for him to just turn left and go out. See, that's what I dis that's what I disagree. Cause he wasn't he was deep, but he wasn't that far deep. Like he could easily caught that and
Dyl: see that too. I just know he's seen him bro. There is no way. And just go out.
Bradley Vaughan: He got kinda deep when he picked it up. And then you could cause trouble. You could easily turn around and they come and send another trap and you're really screwed. But if you're if you if you were that deep though to catch it and go up, like he wouldn't have had his one two layup where the way he got it. If he would have been had to stop under the basket, like he the the way he caught that and went for layup, he had enough time to actually just dribble it out. Was it a foul at all? It was a little bit well I think he got the ball first. They they they already re It w he got him with the body, but they were never gonna call it. They already went back and like reviewed it.
Dyl: They were up one. They were gonna f it def I think it was a little bit of foul, but they were gonna call that. ⁓ they weren't gonna call that.
Bradley Vaughan: They wouldn't have They wouldn't have. No.
Dyl: Yeah, they weren't. That's what I'm saying. Like stuff like that. I feel like you just have to dribble it out. They weren't gonna give you that foul or anything. But it
Bradley Vaughan: I just I just feel bad for him in a way because like I feel like as a basketball player like it's all your leverage is going toward that ball and he had the perfect angle. It's split second decisions too. Like I was thinking that also like what we do in the moment, like you're not really thinking of it. You're like, ⁓ I'm gonna go up three here. Yeah. But the vet in him has to be like, we're up with one point with ten seconds left. Like we're gonna go we're getting two points. We have to get two points here regardless. And that's when you dribble it out, get fouled. 'Cause you c he could have killed three more seconds. I was like worried
Dyl: gonna fail you. Easily.
Bradley Vaughan: I was like worried what happened after that when Alvarado got the ball. He looked like he That was a backcourt. Did they get the timeout? I was before backcourt. No, it wasn't court they called it is or De'Aaron's foul or something. Like De'Aaron fouled. Whenever he fouled Josh Hart. No, no, no. Like Alvarado came across half court, then went back he over and backed it.
Dyl: I is that? Cause I was seeing some like ⁓ he found him, yeah, but I'll get back on that too when I tell you that. But no.
Bradley Vaughan: But I don't know. I just he it it looked like something bad was about to happen, but then they just called him out and I was like, ⁓ I was like, ⁓ here comes a Brunson shitty shot. I don't care what you say, it's a shitty shot. Yeah. I mean nobody else is gonna take that shot, but dude. The parallel to Patrick Ewing is just unreal. Like the same exact thing, like off the back of the rim, like wide open. If you came all the way back from that and that's how you didn't win was
Dyl: Josh Hart almost got death threats too. Did on that layup? It he smoked. And that's what man.
Bradley Vaughan: They w that franchise would never have recovered ever.
Dyl: That would have been sickening, bro, 'cause he is they saved him 'cause Wendy missed those two free throws after that. So then I s I'm like, dude, they it kinda like clean slated it, but dude, that would have been bad.
Bradley Vaughan: Dude, that that one play where Hart got Castle to step out of bounds though, that wasn't obviously it didn't go out of bounds. The rest of they shouldn't have called that out of bounds. I cause I honestly thought I thought watching it it probably should have been a blocking foul. Yeah, that's
Dyl: But ⁓ dude, Cast does Castle not do like any spin move or anything? Do if he goes right, he's continued to go in right. Like it's he will not stop.
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ no, he's a bulldog. He's good he dude head down right into you. No. Dude. There's no he has no bag besides like that. I don't know, I don't know how he sees either, man. His hair is like always like flopping in front of his head when he's going down. I'm like, dude, what the He has that like one nice like hard like straight Euro, but he has a slow Euro in his bag, but he's yeah.
Dyl: Do that? Dude, he is he does not bro, he drives the fucking ball. He is tunnel vision when he goes downhill.
Bradley Vaughan: I will say Kat got a hand on that final inbound, but I mean that was a great play. If he would have got it there like Castle would have done it. Yeah, that would have been a perfect lob. Yeah. ⁓ dude, when when they threw it, I'm like, ⁓ sh like Castle had the leverage. He was there.
Dyl: They would they would have had that. They had it.
Bradley Vaughan: And I got a fingertip on That's why always think it's like good to not go to Wimby, like in that position. ⁓ yeah. Like I I kinda had a feeling they wouldn't either there. Like on a backdoor lob, like if they don't see Wimby going for it, I've seen that these people get open, like the cigarette get open so many times. So wide open. The Derek White one with the Celtics. He wasn't. And then Marcus Smart did it. ⁓ where you I thought you were. No, I was saying I've seen it so many times where like if you you know, you fake pass it to Wimby and he like fake jumps and then you send somebody else like behind the play wide open 'cause everyone's I know, you know. Kind of crazy how many like OG has some great playoff moments like the corner three buzzer buzzier in the bubble. He's always like he's just upped his game in the playoffs. He's awesome. Like he I'm running for and like I'm rooting for cat. I like I like the players on the Knicks. Like Yeah, I mean I I hate the Knicks as a diehard pacer fan, but Brunson gave my respect with the contract. I've always really liked Kat. We're gonna have to start having some cat all time conversations with this, by the way, too, Dill.
Dyl: At all at all times. That's a g that's a fact, Grave.
Bradley Vaughan: Cat's twenty two cat's twenty two and eleven for his ten or eleven year career. In the playoffs. Huh? In the playoffs? No, career. Twenty two to eleven what? For his career. Like playoff record? For his career. ⁓ I think like in his record. I was like, that was pretty good. Twenty two and eleven. No. Twenty two eleven, like six time All Star, like three team all pro rookie of the year. All star MVP has the all star game record for points.
Dyl: Which is crazy. Playoffs. Like stat wise? That's why I thought he was on my record too, but that's that's that's that's good too.
Bradley Vaughan: Which it's kind of a I thought Paul George broke that. ⁓ then Kat did. ⁓ here. Cat did after. ⁓ shit. I watched him do it here live.
Dyl: No, I have no hatred. Cat cat is I always thought he was good. He was good in Minnesota. I don't know why they let him go there, but I that's man. That's why I've always thought Cat was w good.
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ yeah. W One of the worst moves I've ever seen. Dude, the ant and cat thing worked out so well and they gave up on it so early. You see they want Kyrie? Who? The Wolves.
Dyl: So early, man. ⁓ for the Tribbles, that would be nice. T They need a they need another guard. They need a guard. That's what I'm saying. I can see it.
Bradley Vaughan: They do they need a point guard. They need a guard, yeah. Hey I I'm ⁓ they got they gotta figure out what's going on with that big situation though, because Nas Reed's not really the way it it's supposed to go and Rudy He's a great defensive player like he gives you nothing on the offensive side. Yeah. I mean if it's not a wide open dunk and shit, he even screws that up half the time. No, he's not
Dyl: Nothing. He can't catch the ball. Him or I don't know whose hands are worse, Hib or Aiden.
Bradley Vaughan: Dude, when he made that one post move on Jokic and scored in the whole Timberwolves like stadium was like You know, it was like, dude, that's your seven footer that's been was the clip of the floater they put over the backboard. ⁓ I was like, What are the what are you doing? He is great at him. I just don't think you that's somebody you can even like give up or like try to move on from right now. I mean Yeah, I'd do it in a heartbeat. He just fits in certain like
Dyl: He has zero bag, literally.
Bradley Vaughan: You have to have a certain team building. It doesn't matter who, the money's insane for what he's doing. my god. He's about to buy France back. I mean Wimby. They were starting him in Wimby in the France games. I would too. ⁓ yeah. I I mean, yeah. Yeah, that could be a good five for San That'd be a great five for Wimby. Fuck. ⁓ France is gonna move to San Antonio then with all the big women in San Antonio.
Dyl: I was about to say, isn't he getting almost three hundred million? Shh. Man, bro. They cashed him out.
Bradley Vaughan: Galveston. That dirty water in Galveston. Charles Barkley. He always be saying that there's big ass women at San Antonio. Dude, did you see what he said at halftime of that freaking Cardi B? He said that ain't Cardi B. That's Cardi D's. He's a freak. Dude, I said Did you see on the Dan Patrick show he's like
Dyl: So the big women? Okay. Talking about the Cardi D's. The McCarthy D's, yeah, Charles is crazy.
Bradley Vaughan: I hope they fire me 'cause then they gotta pay my contract now for the next six or seven years. That is crazy. He does not want to work anymore. I'm on jurong guy Chuck feeling fist freaky. What? What? Who? I I'm not I'm not really sure. I'll just have Brad delete that part. Just saying that weightless he you he's lost all that weight on that drug and I just thought maybe it's got him feeling a little GLP one. I think he was saying that before the any of this.
Dyl: Ha ha ha What happened? What'd you say? ⁓ Zimpic?
Bradley Vaughan: Is that what he's on? Yeah, it's it's like a same type of weight loss drug. I mean, you know, you lose weight, you get your sex drive back, I've heard from peop like older people. Charles Bark can tell you that? I sure he would. Is there any percentage of you guys that think the Spurs could come back? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely not. So Hey.
Dyl: Is that what that is? Okay. There we go. I got Spurs and Seven.
Bradley Vaughan: My prediction's gonna be right, just like it has been basically this whole time. Besides the Rockets. Knicks and six. Okay, but I did have the Spurs in the Western Conference Finals. You did do that, yeah. This close away from perfectly doing this. We're gonna talk about how good the Hawks are again? We might have to. I mean, Dill, am I not nil on this though? I mean, go I mean, I told you, Dunner we're not repeating.
Dyl: This person had it, man. No, you are. got hurt but yeah. It's part of it, no. That's part of it, yeah. But no, I do I think the Spurs have like they've had the wins, bro. They just fucking can't close a game. They cannot close a game to save their lives, so
Bradley Vaughan: But I I said Williams wasn't really healthy. They've had ⁓ They've had ⁓ I mean, yeah. They lit they literally took every single year. The Spurs are that team, like I remember like like an AAU and stuff, like they're that kind of team that wears you out, but just like doesn't you know what I mean? Like, you hate to play ⁓ And they just start doing stupid stuff. Yeah. They they wear the Knicks out so quick. Like, just so quick. I just don't understand, like like I don't know what Miss Johnson is really thinking. Like, I wonder like Did Greg Pogovich Popovich teach you anything? I'm I'm not gonna put I'm not gonna put that on him though. ⁓ I am. You're the coach. I he definitely gets some of it. My thing with coaching is you're up thirty and Wimby still played forty four minutes. Like the time that you could have took Wimby out when you're winning like that, you didn't. And now Wimby's gassed whole fourth quarter. I'm not taking Wimby out. I'm trying Up th up thirty, I'm trying to find the breaks where I can for him. No. I'm trying to win a finals here. I'm trying to make sure a comeback doesn't happen.
Dyl: Definitely. I definitely am. At all.
Bradley Vaughan: Obviously that didn't work, but 'cause like I think you could have sa I think you could have sacrificed those two, three minutes, put him back in like you have been, and you're still up twenty something to get it back going. 'Cause they didn't even take him out. I know, but when you look over at your bench and Luke Cornett's looking at you and you see Wimby running on the court, like, are you really gonna yell, Hey Luke? Well he actually hasn't played that bad in the finals though. He's actually the reason why they're in the finals with that block, maybe. Only reason I say is because season time his limit is he played he averaged twenty eight minutes a game.
Dyl: He actually has it.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah, but you're not playing for the NBA finals in the season. But I'm saying he ramped up twenty eight to forty four in the playoffs. So it's like he is gassed. I mean I agree. You had to you I feel you just have to pick your moments with him. Like, ⁓ this is a good time to stay in for a couple of minutes. Let's get him out, get him back in. I agree. Mitch has a l obviously a lot to learn, but I'm just saying like then they did not miss the first half and then they missed everything the second half, and that's the way it goes sometimes.
Dyl: I see it so And then second half but but I'm saying like you can't rely on that three ball so heavy. But that's what I was talking about, like with Mitch. If go get a just like they have to get a play just to get a bucket. They don't have to be a three pointer, like to go get a foul or get just get an easy bucket or something, bro. They didn't I feel like they didn't run any plays. It was just ISO. That's
Bradley Vaughan: No, you can't. I've I've always loved like ⁓ that's the one thing as a kid, like when the shots aren't falling, go to the rim and get to the foul line, you know, make something happen. Get to the rim, you're gonna get fouled or you know. I mean, every coach tells you, like, hey, just see one fall. Go find go see one go in the basket, then start coming back back out to your three point line. That goes to game ⁓ what was what are we at? This will be three line, game f game five. So game like three, whenever Wimby shot that like pull up to win, like that was a terrible play too. Like he's not
Dyl: I just kept shooting threes.
Bradley Vaughan: I love that play. I don't. You're down one. No, the the game the shot that he would have hit over Mitch for the game. ⁓ whenever they're yeah, whenever they were down one a couple games ago. I thought he buttered that. I thought he buttered that one last night too. Bro, just go to the basket. Somebody, one of them. Like any of ⁓ I don't even care who it was. If I don't see any reason you're not going to the basket there in the bonus down one.
Dyl: Are you talking about when he was trailing? ⁓ okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I did think he was gonna make it, but I thought he was gonna go to the rim, bro. I just I don't know.
Bradley Vaughan: I can't believe Wimby missed both of his free throws though. Because he is a great free throw shooter for his size. Yeah. Well he's probably 'cause he played too much. That's it's true. He was gay. Brad's not wrong. I mean I ⁓ I just I feel bad for him in the sense of like, dude, when are you gonna learn? Like they're young, they'll be they're that team's gonna be back for f years to come, like but it's I just the part I just hate to see the Knicks do it. And I hate to see some team lose like that. Like you had it every game.
Dyl: Yeah, could've. They definitely they definitely will.
Bradley Vaughan: They just could have swept them. Like you literally this series could be over. They could have swept them. I do just love though, ⁓ you know, just as a basketball fan, like growing up, I'm I'm loving that, you know, we're not getting repeat champions. Yeah. Like it just shows you really how I love it, man. I mean I wouldn't mind seeing, you know the Pacers win five in a row. I love it. I mean when I saw Kobe go back to back, you know, that was But okay, go ahead. I'm ready.
Dyl: Every every single game. You d you like that? I'm gonna ask you guys something after this, after you get done. Nah, it was just going about like what you were talking about, like the they were talking about, ⁓ like not having a same team winning every ⁓ like back to back. And they were saying like teams are obviously gonna get better. So like if the Knicks win, do you trade they were talking about trading cat? Or do you keep you just running back with the same team?
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ hell I ain't touching cat. Trey McHale. Get your tracks and picks back.
Dyl: That's what they're talking about if they would get off a ⁓ cat or anybody. 'Cause you know teams are only gonna get better, so I don't know.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah. But I think when you have Brunson and Kat and OG and then you fill in other pieces. 'Cause here's my thing. Once Brunson gets this ring, he's like, Okay, I did the pay cut, like now I want mine. Like hi he he's gonna get he's gonna get his, so it's like when he gets his, something else has to give. That'll be another couple of years though. He's already talking extensions. ⁓ Well
Dyl: ⁓ they're gonna they're gonna cash Brunson out.
Bradley Vaughan: I mean they can they'll just re up ⁓ like But ⁓ everybody pays two or three guys fifty million now. I mean that's just the thing that's become normal in the league. But I mean you gotta pay OG town too. Like OG's gonna get it the bag.
Dyl: Yes, that's crazy. He has the he has the biggest ⁓ next contract, I think, right now. Ever.
Bradley Vaughan: Is it that is crazy. Who? Like OG's getting paid and you know, they'll re up him too. He's hey. He's he's earned it. Like he's worth every penny. No, I wouldn't touch Cat though, Dil. I mean, he maybe if he was like Kat's still young for how long he's played in the league too. Like that's Yeah.
Dyl: ⁓ OG? Yeah. Yeah, he's definitely earned it. ⁓ yeah. But I think it was something for like for like Giannis. I mean obviously that's the everybody just trying to go get Giannis, bro, so I don't know. Yeah.
Bradley Vaughan: See, I wouldn't do it. I would just because of a chemistry because of a chemistry thing. Like you see all the time when when these teams th the first year and that's why I love the Knicks this year. That's why I loved them. Last year they got to play together, obviously didn't work out because they ran into us. We own you guys. But ⁓ They shouldn't do what these are here. You know, they had chemistry coming in this year 'cause they've already played together, you know, and I think when you see these guys team up the first year n whenever you ever seen it work out the first year, you know?
Dyl: That's that's facts.
Bradley Vaughan: Works mid season for the Raptors. That Qui Leonard's a different breed. That man that
Dyl: ⁓ I dude JT just sent me a damn trade with LeBron and Kawhi going to ⁓ to the Warriors. I said, ⁓ my good. That's what I said. The real auction.
Bradley Vaughan: Warriors, yeah I saw that. They're gonna have the fucking retirement home. They're gonna have one one year and that's all you get, Warriors fans. ⁓
Dyl: That would be it. Everyone's gonna be hurt until the end of the year. I would, but it I just don't know that team wouldn't win at all. I would definitely love to see it though. LeBron Steph, Kawhi, Draymond.
Bradley Vaughan: I would like it. I'd like to see it. But Brian Steph reader. I don't know. I mean if they all stay healthy. Bro, grab a big dude. Okay. It's the only time I'm gonna bring it's it's the only time I'm gonna bring up his name because, you know, but like ⁓ Miles should be a warrior or something, not a buck. He needs to go he should have been a warrior. He needs to be a warrior.
Dyl: Go get Mitchell Robinson.
Bradley Vaughan: Like that would be the perfect Yeah, that would be the perfect fit for him. Yeah.
Dyl: Miles Turner. I think the Spurs should go get him to play against to go play I did see that I saw saying to play go play with ⁓ with Wimby. But I could see them with the Warriors too.
Bradley Vaughan: Just Teague said that too. Yeah, it looks like there'd be nothing in the paint. I I actually think that would work.
Dyl: I do like the Warriors too, girl. I wish he man, who you telling? I wish he came to the fucking Warriors.
Bradley Vaughan: He definitely should should have been a Laker or Warrior after here, but Giannis is one of my favorite players in the league, but my thing with him is like you go with him, you're losing the three point shooting that Kat gives you that I guess the thunder that Chet would give I'd trade Giannis for Chet immediately, but that three point shooting you're losing that a little bit. So now Giannis and Hartenstein can clog up the paint together. But I mean Hartenstein can hit his floater from the three point line. That's the thing too, is like you have to really think about playoff basketball when everything tightens up. You know, like the regular season you can get away with Giannis and stuff. I mean Giannis doesn't want a ring, but like in the playoffs, man, everything just is just seems to be more congested and Giannis is just gonna be a buck. Like I don't know I really don't think so anymore. I think this is it. Yeah, I think he's just going to I don't
Dyl: Y te i te quitar.
Bradley Vaughan: I don't know why, but they say it every year, like he's always in these talks. They keep saying it. New team like every other day. It's like I'm just tired of something happens. I saw the Heats package though for Giannis and I was like, I would take that. What was it? Like Tyler Hero? Tyler Hero, Jame, ⁓ Kel Kel Kel, Kell L Kale, dude. And and ⁓ I like him a lot. And the Nicol Nicola dude who they have. I feel like that sounds good, but I'm still not it was like two first round picks too though. Like all young guys and I ain't pay paying hero that.
Dyl: New Lower, yeah.
Bradley Vaughan: to just mess around, shoot a bunch of shots. He's from he's from like Wisconsin though, so I he'd be back home. I don't give a damn. They'll they'll boo him because he didn't go to he didn't go to Wisconsin. Tyler Hero left. I don't give a damn. I don't give a damn where you're from. That team is like without like that team's so bad, if you honestly Ryan Rollins
Dyl: Yeah, we You don't care, Greg. Shit, the I think the Bucks would be bad and the Mike and the Heat would be bad. Like I just it just him and Bam, that would be it.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah. I s ⁓ my god. Someone did you see the someone put together like a clip of Giannis driving and just throwing paint but it would cut the bam catching it and shooting in three? And they're like they're like, ⁓ I'm dreaming of this every night. Like dude, what is wrong with people?
Dyl: Ha ha. No, I did see one though, ⁓ like the I I don't know if you guys sent it in there, but it was ⁓ Giannis to the with to Boston. Would J B have to be in that trade? Okay.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah, yeah, he'd be gone. Giannis and D Book need to collab. Bro. That'd be fire. D Book. Giannis to the Suns. I don't think there's a better fit for Devin Booker than the Pistons. Like That is what they need, man. I don't know.
Dyl: Yonna Citizens? K d K definitely needs it too. But he would you know, D books a a certified twenty five thirty.
Bradley Vaughan: And D book, D Book. D book that hurts Cade. That hurts Cade more than it helps. Well, D Book literally said to the Sons, he's like, I'm done playing point guard. Like, I feel like it's only hindered my career since I've been a point guard. He's like, I don't want to do this shit. Get me a point guard or like I need to go somewhere where there's a point guard. I ain't going no I ain't going what? Cade. I mean, yeah, it would be hard
Dyl: You don't like that griff? Him and ⁓ him and Cade? He's better than Jenkins and them. That's why I'm like, bro.
Bradley Vaughan: No, no, no, no. I Jenkins and ⁓ I think I'd open Kate up more to be honest. No. It it would open D Book up. It wouldn't open Cade. It would not open D up. He's shooting horrible. Like his efficiency is bad. Cade's such a dog. He is, but his efficiency is horrible. Yeah, because he's got Jenkins and stuff. I mean I agree. Yeah, you'd rather have D book than those guys. But if you have to worry about D book, that opens up Cade though. You just don't want to mess with ⁓
Dyl: You don't you don't like it. I just think K does so much. So like it would it would help him out.
Bradley Vaughan: I guess the Pistons got I think D Book's volume is just too high for Cade. Like you don't want to mess with Cade. But you Kate's usage rate's like one of the highest in the league, but And it needs to be. And his efficiency's one of the lowest. Well, okay. So it's like you have to find a balance. I think D Book would balance that out a little bit for you. It's a h that balance I wouldn't say this D book. I would say balance would be like Tyler Hero. I mean, you can give me twenty five a game. I feel like it's good balance. You know, Kate's still gonna be twenty four and Nine and seven a game. I mean I think I mean I I'm saying I'm saying like as far as like balance. You know what I mean? 'Cause like you you you've seen sometimes where Yeah, they just need yeah. Taking teller hero, Zach Levine on that team. Teller hero. Zach Levine. I'm not a I'm I don't give a damn I don't give a damn that he's from Wisconsin. That shit don't impress me. Well
Dyl: You said hero to the Pistons too? No, that's I mean no, that's that's smooth too though. They need another score, pretty much. Yeah. You not a hero fan?
Bradley Vaughan: What? We're talking about Detroit anyway. I don't think anybody's impressed that he's from Wisconsin. Brad is. Brad gave me that as one of his stats, didn't he, Dil? No, I say he's from Wisconsin. I'm just messing up. Guys like going home. I'm just messing. But no, I don't give a damn about Tyler Hero. I'm taking Zach Lean. I just don't Pisons are an interesting spot. The Cavs are an interesting spot. I feel like the summer's gonna be a lot of just movement for a bunch of players. Tyler Hero should go to Minnesota.
Dyl: Hey bro, Griff is crazy. Yeah, it It's gonna be that as facts, bruh.
Bradley Vaughan: Magic gotta figure it out. I don't know. You traded five first rounders for Desmond Bain, he balled out and Paulo d regressed and Franz just didn't on biggest. The problem with that team is that the Wendell Carter Jr. shit's gotta end and Tess gotta stop at some point. Franz does not need to pick up he needs to stop doing that Germany bullshit every year. Stop playing for get lay down in Orlando. Lay down. Lay down and rest. Because Paulo cannot be Paulo without Franz. I just they traded all those picks for Desmond Bain and then they Paid four or five centers last year. They paid Wendell, they paid ⁓ Franz's brother, they paid Goga, they kept Jonathan Isaac around. Yeah, and they're all all those basic horrible. Why'd you why you just signed five centers? What's that gonna what are we doing? Let's start this now. Jonathan Isaac has to be in a Pacers uniform next year. Please. I've always dreamed of that. I saw like the realistic ones, like you see all the fake ones, but they said like Jonathan Isaac, Kelly Ubre. hell no. He would be a bad wing. I ain't doing that shit here in Indy.
Dyl: Jonathan Isaac makes, yeah.
Bradley Vaughan: He kind of gets after though. Ubre gets after him. Yeah. He's the he is so underrated. Like, look up his career stats. He has just been a solid player. He's always got to shoot the ball a lot for where it for him not being crazy good. That's the crazy part. Like dude, he's telling Dane, I feel like he is wide open like all the time for some reason. And like he's always been on good teams. He's always been on really good teams. I'm like, this guy's like the best he's gonna be I told the we in our group chat, we just send like career stats in our group chat sometimes, like who's this player?
Dyl: He did he did good in Philly. He does
Bradley Vaughan: And like I said he's gonna be one of these guys we sending down in like ten years, and you're like, Who's who's guys with solid as hell? I was like, That's Kelly Uber. No, he is a solid guy. I just I don't know if that's that's a pacer though. I just think we need a wing, like a backup wing. But you already have one. His name's Jarrus. He hooped last year. He did hoop. But I mean I like Uber. I like ⁓ I like I like Uber's energy. I'm taking his I'm taking Jarrus's contract and potential, so I yeah. 'Cause
Dyl: No, he was no, he was definitely solid as fuck. Is Jaris better are you taking him over Ubre? Griff?
Bradley Vaughan: My thing is we're gonna go in the luxury, so they have a lot of money to play around with. I'm not sp but I'm not starting off my luxury by Kelly Uber. But you know they're not gonna go get somebody big to Io around this team. I don't know. I would love Io. That's who I wanted the Bulls to trade us to. I think Trey Murphy's out. Yeah, that's over. Yeah, I don't think but I I think Io is like I want him from the Bulls at the deadline, and the Bulls traded him for a bag of chips. I'm ⁓
Dyl: Trey Murphy.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah, I'm trading Zoobox and ⁓ We just got him. You didn't even get to suit up. I'm just kidding. I'm No, I actually like I actually don't even like my I wouldn't mind if the Pacers traded him too. I wouldn't either. Like he's still got a lot of good value. There's nobody we're getting better than him right now. I don't know. I don't know. Would you g would you like maybe give up like would maybe maybe go get wear?
Dyl: And you train zoo, big zoo That's what I'm saying. They had they had to fake his injuries to sit him out. I was about to say, who the hell are you gonna get back for Big Zoo?
Bradley Vaughan: Yes. I You know what I mean? I think so. Yeah. The NBA's transitioning to tall, skinny bigs that need to shoot and block shots. And I'm just a little worried about Zoo up and down on our offense. Like we're gonna wear his ass out. I just gotta see it first before I judge it. I think I'd rather have Klow wear. I do wanna I I do wanna give him a chance. He's excited to be here. I've never disliked Zoo. I I'm just a little Brad knows I'm a little nervous about how
Dyl: That was my biggest question.
Bradley Vaughan: It's hard to replace Miles Turner's shoes, man. Yeah, man. Yeah, that's real funny. Yeah.
Dyl: Especially it's just your offense is so much different than what he's played, but he's a certified double double though, for damn sure.
Bradley Vaughan: Right. I just think it's the pros and like you look at the pros and cons, like our half court offense wasn't good in that Thunder series. And like Zoo will help that. That was a Thunder series though. Every other series in game. But it even the series before, like once again you're gonna Tyrese got down to the need like ten seconds less than the shot clock, like we were just doing a lot of dribbling and a bullshit shot would go up. Like our points came in transition, which is the good thing. But then now I think Zoo helps the half court when we we're not getting those transition points. If if he could stretch a little bit more
Dyl: And that's and that's a lot of that's a lot of playoff.
Bradley Vaughan: If he could stretch a floor a little bit more, that's what concerns me is like what makes us so good is that everybody can if he can get this heart like Hartenstein like footers. That's literally what I was about to say too. We're golden. I don't think he has that. He's literally too damn big for that shit. I mean Hartenstein's a seven footer too. Yeah. He's like Zubox thing. That's a big boy. That'd be interesting I mean, I just want to see it first before I judge it.
Dyl: I don't know if Thunderkeep would you would you do that, Griff? Hardest time with the ⁓
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓
Dyl: With the faces?
Bradley Vaughan: He's he's giving us some nightmares. Hard snipes are I just thought I don't we're we're just not doing the pausing stuff anymore, I guess, because I didn't No Brad did. I just now I feel bad for bringing it up. I didn't even I don't even know what I said. Brad sighs and just goes, Andy's a big boy. Zoo's like two eighty, man.
Dyl: What was it? I said something crazy? ⁓ I ain't gonna lie, we've said some crazy shit of of like this whole little episode and I just been letting it fly, but
Bradley Vaughan: I know, but I just I've I have never heard you say that. These country guys they're they're big they're fucking big. Damn he's a big boy. He's a big boy. Damn he's a big boy. Okay. That's crazy. Sorry. It just threw me off right in my left ear. You told a guy to come on you earlier, right? All right, next. Yeah I Dill, I I think you wanted me to say that. I did not say it. And ⁓ you said it.
Dyl: That is a big ass dude though. He di y you definitely did, Griff. ⁓ you said it. You definitely said that. It's love though, baby.
Bradley Vaughan: All right, ⁓ Hey Hey Pacers is going out the East next year. No we're not. So get fucking real. So these are so fucking weak, man. I ain't worried about it. I'd be surprised if they're higher than five seed.
Dyl: Did y'all see the ⁓ if they do the expansion, what teams is trying to go to the the east? Would Minnes Minnesota go there and then Memphis?
Bradley Vaughan: Minnesota. Minnesota should be in the East. They should be in the East. It'd be what? Seattle and Vegas on West? We get two teams, right? Are we getting the Pelicans too? Isaiah Thomas is back in the NBA. He's just starting point guard. How does how does that ⁓ yeah, gotta be Memphis. Gotta be Memphis. They gotta just get rid of they gotta get rid of Memphis. Isaiah Thomas, he's going back to start for Seattle. You know, he's like the biggest advocate for Yeah, the four nine one.
Dyl: Minnesota's gonna Yep, maybe yep. Yeah. I can see Pri Pelicans are Memphis. Who? Who? Isaiah who? The one from the shorter one from the lefty? He's a fucking basket though.
Bradley Vaughan: Dude, he said he said he s he tweeted it. I'm not gonna say what I want to say. Dude, that dude. Yeah, five years, six years, say years I am so tired of seeing him posting the Celtics highlights. Like eventually, man He said every day still running it. I I bet if you I bet if you'll look at his Twitter right now, there's a tweet that says, Man, I wouldn't have did that if I was D. Fox I will say, I mean, he did get screwed, but like
Dyl: It's a marathon, not a race, Griff. It's a marathon, baby.
Bradley Vaughan: You have to know better, man. You can your franchise player can't be shorter than the security guard, you know? That year that year those those floaters and those pull up threes where he's like right in the where he's like right here 'cause he has to pull it up from like you know, it's just yeah. That was crazy watching him. He
Dyl: He was fucking cold though, but yeah, that's the truth, Griff. No, he was elite, but you can't ha that can't be your franchise dude at all.
Bradley Vaughan: ⁓ 29.7 points per game was I think I I've looked it up so many times. I just I I was watching Earl Boygan's highlights. He played for like fourteen years. Yeah, he was cold on the nuggets. I said this guy's literally five five just out there Remember John Lucas? Mickey Mouse era when LeBron junk ⁓ dunked over him. ⁓ he talked about that on the Jeff Teague's podcast. He's like, I didn't even know he jumped over me until I looked up on the jumbo screen there. He goes, he goes, What made it worse? He goes, Thibbs called a timeout. He's like, Why'd you call a timeout? He said everybody's looking at the jumbo tron now and he's jumping over me. He goes, and then I'm like, Okay, cool, whatever. Timeouts go back in. I he I'm about to ISO and get a bucket. And then Tibbs sits me. He's and then I'm then I'm done. He says
Dyl: John Lucas. I went to his camps, bro. Ha ha ha. Yeah, that's the worst. If something happens, you get dunked on it or your coach calls a timeout and it just stops. Yeah, that's why I'm like, Yeah. You just got to grab the bar here and just and get it out, bro. Just
Bradley Vaughan: And subs you out. He said he said that's what I tried doing. He said, I try to get out and going and I see a timeout. I'm like, no. What was I watching the other night, Zeke? ⁓ Gerald Green. Gerald Green highlights. Was he playing 2K? That was one of the best two K players ever. I used him on every single dynasty. Gerald Green on highlights. Like that deal. Gerald Green. Mess with him.
Dyl: Definitely worse. Huh. ⁓ I do like Gerald Green, but d I don't know if y'all wat y'all don't y'all don't tap into the one v one, but he just got blitzed in that one v one ⁓ game. Yeah. I i it was it was bad. It got it got ugly. To it
Bradley Vaughan: He's still gonna play he played. He shouldn't be playing one B one. That's not really You see you see the big three told Lance he couldn't play in the one V ones anymore? Like the big the big three league, yeah. Dude he just got into it with somebody. I seen some video.
Dyl: Seriously? ⁓ I didn't know. Bug.
Bradley Vaughan: Yeah, he fucking destroyed Michael Beasley at the UFC match. Michael Beasley. I did I did not think he was gonna beat him, I'm not gonna lie. I didn't either. Lane Stevenson taps out Michael Beasley. He had him in a rear naked chokehold. What is up with these like like I seen Frank what didn't Frank Gore do it or something like a couple years ago? Like Frank Gore and Darren Williams. Yeah. Darren Williams knocked him out.
Dyl: He ch what he choked him out for.
Bradley Vaughan: David Williams went back to two thousand ⁓ eight. It is. That's crazy. Bro, they get paid so you ever see or like people who fight get paid so much, like they're I am just reading follow Bob Minory. He's ⁓ he's him and Jonathan Zell. That was embarrassing. Yeah. What'd they do? They box that same card. ⁓ god. That's when ⁓ what was it? Who's it? Ray J got knocked out by Ray. ⁓ he got he got s like
Dyl: Ay man. He got knocked the fuck out, bruh.
Bradley Vaughan: Who let Rage put him in his second octagon? I can't believe ⁓ those fights still are on Sunday, man. Why would they put ⁓ on Sunday this week? ⁓ USC. Is that this Sunday? Yeah.
Dyl: Well, yeah, that's about to be a hell of a car, but like you said, I'm I'm confused why they did Sunday. Well I'll just say finals maybe, but
Bradley Vaughan: Because the finals game Saturday. Yeah, you can't No, no, no, no, no. This was this was scheduled way before anybody knew there would be a game six of the finals. But I think you anti like you have to know like okay, if game six falls on a Saturday, I have we can't go the same day. Finish the game and then we're partying with UFC afterwards. Like a Sunday for this is ridiculous.
Dyl: No, that's that's Yeah, I'm sick, bro. I gotta work and I actually wanted to watch that. Is it gonna be is do you know if it's nighttime? Is it a n as I said it's nighttime? Okay, okay. Well I could be able to watch it then.
Bradley Vaughan: Horrible. It's gonna be on to like w they're gonna drag it out too. It's gonna be like one AM. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe I'll just ask for a vacation on Monday or something. Yeah, like four weeks left. Yeah. ⁓ man. How the fever do you looking, Zeke? ⁓ up three with four and a half minutes left. We're up like twenty when we were started this. Well they're they're also down seven by fourteen points on twenty three shots. She has ⁓ she has twenty four points on fourteen shots.
Dyl: Same Griff.
Bradley Vaughan: Wow. That's a good game. She has twenty four points, five boards, eight assists. What's Boston got? Eight points on six shots. She also has twenty-four points. Yeah. On eighteen shots. They're both flipping me off. All right. I know Lexi Hall hasn't scored again. She has nine points. Wow. They're all just hates his own getting anybody else. I'm just realistic. I've been watching Kayla, man. She needs to start playing. She she is fine in her groove though. She is fine in her groove. Lexi Holders break, didn't she? Yeah. Pain. All right. Yeah, man. You fellas got anything else for this episode? It's just we all hate De'Aaron Fox. No, we don't. Fuck De'Aaron Fox. Spurs and seven. Spurs and seven. Nixon six two weeks ago, Nixon six today. That made me think this the game seven would be on a weekday. It would be. This this Saturday is the only d weekend game, this whole series. That's crazy. Well, that sucks that the series is an ending.
Dyl: I got Spurs. Spurs is seven. Yep.
Bradley Vaughan: On Saturday, it's in England. No, we're going seven. No, we're not going seven. Where's the seven? Yeah. Wait, what it Batter, we'll see you Monday with ⁓ Nick's parade. 'Cause they won the finals. Big big purr.
Dyl: Version seven. Man. It's gonna be the real purge out there. Big purge gonna be in that purge.
Bradley Vaughan: OG don't win finals MVP, then this is all fraudulent and rigged and fake. Brunson needs like fifty to get it. I wonder what the odds are. If Curry didn't get it in in 2016, Brunson's not getting it this year. Nah, if Wiggins didn't get it in ⁓ you know, the last words ship. Alright. That's another episode of three point pod. We'll catch you guys next time, man. Peace. Peace.
Dyl: gonna give Brunson they're gonna give it to Brunson too. Disrespect.
