00:00:37.250 --> 00:00:49.969
When I think about coaching and I think about coaching leaders and I think about coaching individuals, most of the time when we think about coaching, we think about, you know, setting up a time to talk, getting on one another's calendar, and that's valuable.
00:00:50.129 --> 00:00:51.810
I am not discounting that.
00:00:52.049 --> 00:01:02.849
One of the things that we are steadfast on here at Progress Coaching, but I would also share with you on a very personal level, and it's called asynchronous coaching.
00:01:03.009 --> 00:01:05.969
Let me let me share with you what that means.
00:01:06.210 --> 00:01:09.329
So when I meet with my coach, you know, I get ready.
00:01:09.490 --> 00:01:11.090
I got to get ready.
00:01:11.329 --> 00:01:16.449
But I don't really capture things throughout the week to share with him.
00:01:16.930 --> 00:01:20.689
And it's not good or bad, it's just kind of the sheer nature of things.
00:01:21.009 --> 00:01:30.049
Asynchronous coaching is where you can actually share thoughts, observations, audios, texts, video messages on an ongoing basis.
00:01:30.289 --> 00:01:35.569
You know, my friend Mike Carroll, who is a great sales coach, owns a company called Intelligent Conversations.
00:01:35.890 --> 00:01:38.129
And he and I will voice text each other.
00:01:38.289 --> 00:01:41.650
And, you know, we both have shared, you know, hey, what's going on with your family?
00:01:41.729 --> 00:01:42.689
What's going on with your family?
00:01:42.849 --> 00:01:44.129
Well, here's our challenges.
00:01:44.289 --> 00:01:46.050
And then we do it with our businesses.
00:01:46.129 --> 00:01:48.930
And we ended up buying two vacation condos together.
00:01:49.090 --> 00:01:54.210
And um we we call it Sunday night properties because we have dinner every other Sunday night together.
00:01:54.449 --> 00:01:57.330
And we always talk about how it's been therapeutic.
00:01:57.569 --> 00:02:02.770
And his wife, Pam, and my wife, Beth, kind of laugh at us, like, why don't you just get on the phone?
00:02:03.009 --> 00:02:10.129
There's a value in sending someone a message and giving that person time to reflect and think about that message.
00:02:10.289 --> 00:02:11.969
So here's something really funny.
00:02:12.129 --> 00:02:20.370
I actually am in the midst of selling my house, and our agent, Michelle Zeller from Zeller Realty in Cedarberg, Wisconsin, she said, I'm gonna voice text you back.
00:02:20.530 --> 00:02:21.969
She goes, This is kind of neat to do this.
00:02:22.129 --> 00:02:25.090
And I said, Michelle, you don't have to get back to me right away.
00:02:25.250 --> 00:02:29.729
She said, Well, what I like is I now know what I have to go research versus meeting with you.
00:02:29.889 --> 00:02:31.090
She goes, Don't take it the wrong way.
00:02:31.169 --> 00:02:32.530
I said, No, no, no, I get it.
00:02:32.770 --> 00:02:34.930
So, what is asynchronous coaching?
00:02:35.009 --> 00:02:49.409
Now we have a whole platform that we've built that allows us to exchange um, you know, voice and text with our clients and documents and, you know, built in assessments to find out how people are doing, et cetera.
00:02:49.569 --> 00:02:56.609
And what's really interesting about it is it allows us to create a very strong cadence of interaction.
00:02:56.769 --> 00:03:01.889
So instead of waiting for next Friday's coaching session, someone can share about three or four things.
00:03:02.049 --> 00:03:10.449
So ironically, I have been asking Mike, you know, Sunday Night Properties, to coach me on sales.
00:03:10.689 --> 00:03:13.250
And we're reintroducing a new product to the marketplace.
00:03:13.329 --> 00:03:16.370
And I said, you know, Mike, I really would love someone to work with me.
00:03:16.530 --> 00:03:19.969
So he's on our platform, he provides me coaching at the end of the week.
00:03:20.129 --> 00:03:25.090
We get together, and I said, It's really interesting as a recipient of the coaching.
00:03:25.169 --> 00:03:25.810
He goes, Why?
00:03:25.889 --> 00:03:29.009
I go, I feel accountable to the process.
00:03:29.650 --> 00:03:35.729
But if I know I'm meeting with you next Friday and there's nothing in between, I'm really only accountable to that meeting.
00:03:35.889 --> 00:03:41.969
So if you're intrigued, send me a message, Tim at Sales Progress, or excuse me, Tim at progresscoachingleader.com.
00:03:42.129 --> 00:03:49.250
I just gave you an email address I uh just got rid of, but Tim at ProgressCoachingLeader.com or direct message me on LinkedIn.
00:03:49.489 --> 00:03:52.049
And we have a whole course called Cadence Coaching.
00:03:52.209 --> 00:03:58.849
We also do cadence coaching for individuals, we also do it for um leaders.
00:03:59.090 --> 00:04:11.810
And the whole concept is this, and that is that we will work with people specific to their imperatives and create a cadence of interaction to move in the direction of our desired outcomes, goals, and objectives.
00:04:12.769 --> 00:04:15.969
Cadence coaching is a form of asynchronous coaching.
00:04:16.129 --> 00:04:21.889
I think with people's busy schedules, it is an alternative that people absolutely love.
00:04:22.129 --> 00:04:23.329
Let me know your thoughts.
00:00:37.250 --> 00:00:49.969
