Episode 97: Grab Bag Q&A
John: [00:00:00] Welcome back on today's show. Grab back q and A before we get into it. How are you today?
Lisa: I'm good. It seems like we've been gone forever.
John: Yeah, it's been a while, but we posted a new episode last week that we recorded a year ago, JFK, but we're back again.
Lisa: It feels good. Thank you guys for tuning in and listening.
We appreciate the downloads. And the follows
John: and all that good stuff. Now grab back q and a is the segment where we get a question from a listener, and we don't know what that question is. We answer the question while we are recording, so you can get a candid response to the question, but we can give a candid response to the question.
So we're not gonna say the listener's name, but. Do you have the question?
Lisa: I do. Do you want me to read it?
John: Yes, please read the question.
Lisa: Okay. If you can go back in the past and be a witness to one historical event, what would it be? Ooh.
John: Oh my God. Now we may have to p, we may have to pause on that.
Because there is a lot of things I would like to be witness to.
Lisa: What are your top three?
John: My top three of course number one is to be able to witness a Bob Marley show.
Lisa: Okay.
John: Live.
Lisa: All right.
John: That would be on the top, but something historic that I were there. Oh, to witness. Do you have something that you can think of? Read the question one more time.
Lisa: Okay. If you can go back in the past and be a witness to one historical event, what would it be? [00:02:00]
John: Wow. I had you read the question again 'cause I'm stalling because there's so much that I would want to witness. But the question is one event, right?
Lisa: One event.
John: Do you have anything before I say anything? I.
Lisa: I'm thinking.
John: I know we might have to put y'all on pause for a minute.
Lisa: Yeah, that's It's a loaded kind of, yeah. Yeah. Oh my
John: God. That is a thank you listener. That is a very good question.
Lisa: Mine is also one of, mine might be a little dark.
John: It is what it is.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: It is a simple question. But it is a loaded question.
Sure. Because wow.
Lisa: Okay. Just pick three. If you could pick three and then we'll just narrow it down. Starting from your,
John: so, I already picked number one.
Lisa: Okay.
John: Which was Bob Marley.
Lisa: Okay.
John: To be able to watch him live. That's my [00:03:00] number one.
Lisa: Okay.
John: That's your
Lisa: top.
John: No, that's not the top. Okay. Because we can only pick one.
Lisa: Okay.
John: But that's just a concert. So it's not really a historical event.
Lisa: It's Yes, it is.
John: It's not like World War ii.
Lisa: Sure. You know
John: what I mean?
Lisa: What,
John: My second one is to piggyback on what I released last week, the the episode. If I were on that grassy knoll with JFK.
Lisa: Oh my gosh, that was going to be mine, so I, that's why I said it's going to be dark, but if I was there,
John: I'll let you, I'll hold that one.
That's number two.
Lisa: Okay.
John: Gosh, number one, the number one question. There's, like I said, there's been so much that's gone on, over, over the years. Wow. All right, so I'll let you lead off. I can't think of a third [00:04:00] one.
Lisa: Wow. Wow. There's, it's, so that is a very good question because there's so many events that when you look at it on TV or when you read about it, you go, oh man, if I was there, yeah. I think a lot of mine might be a little dark.
John: You chose JFK, did you want to use as a, that as your one?
Lisa: There's so many other events.
I'll keep it at. JFK. That's, that may be the s Oh, I know one. I know one. That's just like a bonus.
John: Okay. Can I pause for a moment?
Lisa: Yeah.
John: It's related to Bob Marley.
Lisa: Okay.
John: His son Damien Marley.
Lisa: Yes.
John: And do you wanna know what your son just said to me?
Lisa: What?
John: Wow. Remember the picture we were looking at?
Lisa: It's our son, by the way. Yeah.
John: You remember the picture we were looking at that looks like
Lisa: yes.
John: Damien Marley, if you've never seen him,
Lisa: the one picture.
John: The one [00:05:00] picture, he has dreads. He's light skinned. He has a beard mustache. That is Damien Junior Gong Marley.
My son is light-skinned, has dreads with a mustache and a beard. Damien has taken a family picture with his brothers and sisters. He's got his head down, frowning, like he does not want to be there. Every single picture we ask my son to take, he has the exact same look on his face. I think I should post a picture along with it, but he has the exact same look on his face.
Again, the same complexion, mannerisms, everything.
Lisa: Expression,
John: everything. And my son just text me just now and said that I'm a racist. Oh, that, that is funny. I wish. I'm not gonna put his picture up because he would be so pissed off. What did you
Lisa: ask him? Did you [00:06:00] say, who is this? I just said
John: No, I said. Who does this person remind you of? Every time we ask him to take a picture? Oh boy. That's our son. They're probably about, no. Damien's a little bit older than Sean.
Lisa: A lot of it older, no. Yeah.
John: Damien's in his forties now, right? Yes. Okay. Oh, sorry to interrupt. Back on with the show. Okay, your question, JFK. Sorry.
Lisa: I'll just keep it at JFK because there's, the whole setup is just interesting and to dissect.
John: the setup?
Lisa: the entire setup how it played out, who was where. I always wanna know. The angles, the how the bullets are, like if the wind, you're thinking about all of these [00:07:00] factors.
I, that's why I would wanna be there because, yeah,
John: Just expand on it a little bit because you. You said you just want to be there. Yeah. Is it because you wanted to know the truth about what happened and witness it for yourself?
Lisa: Sure, but I don't think that being there would be, would tell me the truth, like the entire truth.
I could only give my perspective and my, or my experience and then. That's what I would wanna do
John: You would have a a if you were in the grassy knoll for JFK when he got shot.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: A couple of things that you would notice is when the gunshot had gone off.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: Most people know the direction where it could come from.
And if it came from really high. You would probably turn around or look up [00:08:00] wherever you were at that time. Yep. To see where it came from. But if it was coming from behind you at that fence, as soon as that gunshot went off, you would look, you're dunking, you would duck because you would hear it behind you.
Lisa: Sure. That's what I'm saying. That's the very reason why I wouldn't want to be there, because I feel like. I'm not being a conspiracy theorist, I'm only saying it's a little suspect. So that's why I would wanna be there to share my experience, for me to come up with my own conclusion.
John: But what about, there's
Lisa: too many variables for them to say, it was this one person for me.
John: Now
Lisa: after reading and. After reading what I've read and watched
John: now since it is a historical expe an event.
Lisa: Yes.
John: Now, would you [00:09:00] make a statement to the police and what would that statement be?
Lisa: If I made the statement, if you made
John: a statement to the police at that time,
Lisa: depends upon where it was on the grass scene.
John: .
Let me put you in this vein right here, quantum Leap. Just imagine you went back just like Quantum Leap and you were in someone's body that's already there. Just imagine the whole scene right now. So picture yourself on being one of those people on the scene. From that perspective, give an answer.
Lisa: I would say that it's, it didn't sound like the shots were behind me, and it looks like when the shot came, he went forward. I. I don't know. I don't know what I would say. So
John: Let me be the, 'cause
Lisa: [00:10:00] it's, I'm gonna talk about what I like. Yeah.
John: Let me lemme be the police. What would you say?
Let me be the police officer.
Lisa: Okay.
John: So ma'am where were you at when the shots went off?
Lisa: You're a hot police officer. I'll tell you anything.
John: Okay, ma'am, where were you standing when the shots went off?
Lisa: Okay. I was on the lawn, the knoll.
John: Were you facing the road?
Lisa: Yes.
John: Was the fence behind you at that time?
Lisa: Yes.
John: When the shots went off. Where did the sound come from?
Lisa: In the front of me.
John: In front of you?
Lisa: Yeah.
John: So did you see the president get struck by the bullet?
Lisa: I saw when he went forward.
John: So we assume that's when he got hit?
Lisa: Yes.
John: How many shots did you hear? Fire?
Lisa: Maybe
John: two. Maybe two shots? Yeah. And all of them came from in front of you?
Lisa: I'm not [00:11:00] sure. I just know they didn't come behind me.
John: And did you see anything strange about the events of today? I.
Lisa: No, we were just all having a great time
John: just wanting to see the president.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: And once he was shot, what did the crowd of people do?
Lisa: We I cried and said, what's happening?
John: Did anyone leave the scene? Did you notice that? They would get a line of questioning that's what they were supposed to do. Now, if I were answering that question I would've said the bullet came from behind because I. The perspective. Second shooter was behind the fence, so I was, I would've, oh,
Lisa: that's right. Yeah.
John: I would've said there would've been two shots and one may have been, like you said, in front and then one from the side.
Lisa: From the side. I was gonna say that. Yeah.
John: So perfect positioning because where that [00:12:00] fence was, there could have been a vehicle on the other side and whoever shot that gun could have just driven off. It's all the way in the opposite side of a building. So this is a perfect position for them because if a shot went off, there's no one on that opposite side of defense unless they put someone as far as law enforcement behind there, which there wasn't,
Lisa: right?
John: So they hop in the car, they just drive off. The exact same thing happened with Martin Luther King. Think about that. Our car left and they pointed it out. They never pursued it for Martin Luther King.
Lisa: Absolutely right.
John: So
Lisa: are we conspiracy theorists or we just No,
John: these are facts that people were saying at the time.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: People saw someone behind the fence. There is even a picture where they frame it, they see a shadow behind the fence of a person.
Lisa: So when I say conspiracy theorists, we're thinking that who they accused
John: Yeah.
Lisa: Is not. [00:13:00]
John: We will never know. We will never know who actually did it. Yeah. Unless someone came out and said, Hey me, here's my fingerprints.
This is the firearm. I still use it to hunt today.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: If you haven't listened, we talked a little bit more about the JFK assassination on episode number 96, which was the last episode, so go back and listen to that. Anything else to add to yours
Lisa: in regards to JFK or
John: to your JFK? That was your answer for the grab back q and a question
Lisa: I would want not just because of the, not just due to being on the grass, I'd want to know and hear knowing me. I listen to everything and read everything. I would want to hear the radio. I'd want to hear. [00:14:00]
John: Okay, let's
Lisa: what, you asked me the question,
John: I know, but it sounds like you just want it for your personal knowledge.
Lisa: Sure. That's what else would I want it for? But you, who's gonna believe me?
John: But you wouldn't share that knowledge with anyone. They would think I'm a cuckoo
Lisa: choo.
John: You're a witness to it.
Lisa: Okay. And people have been silenced, so I'm just saying I would want to. Hear the information and I'd wanna hear it and I would document it somewhere and I would share the stories verbally to my kids and grandkids.
John: So where, besides what was on the media, what other information would you hear?
Lisa: My perspective, I'm just saying, I don't know. I listen. I wasn't there before. You asked me if I was there. I know, but I would have a different perspective than the other witnesses.
John: I Yeah, that's what I'm saying. You, I don't
Lisa: know.
I wasn't there. You asked me. I,
John: [00:15:00] okay, listen, what I'm asking you is, you said you want to collect the information for your personal knowledge. Yes. But you'd have to get the information from someone else. Now, the information that everybody knows is through the media because it was live. Sure. So everybody saw it.
People, you would have to get the information from people on the Knoll that was there.
Lisa: Yes.
John: At the exact same timeframe. Yes. As you. So you would have to converse with them and ask them what did you see? What happened? But beyond that, the only other things that we can speculate is what was the media was, putting out at the time.
Sure. Based on what you saw.
Lisa: That's
John: where it would end there. Because as far as getting to
Lisa: No. The
John: hospital and all that stuff,
Lisa: yeah, you would want the people that were there. Maybe with you, you would want radio reports, because radio is live. There's no replay for radio, so you'd want to hear
John: That's also media.
Lisa: Yeah, it's media. But.[00:16:00]
What I'm saying to you is that having to experience that, listening to the initial reports, how it's played out, because how media is, that is intriguing to me how they report.
John: It's different from today in real time.
Lisa: Yeah. It's totally different from today
John: because before journalist and. What they call anchorman reported the news.
Lisa: That's it.
John: Yeah. They didn't give their perspective.
Lisa: They just report what is, and I like that. So I'd wanna hear but I'd want to experience how people felt. What was the tone from the initial shock, what do you call it? The climate and things like that, because that also, how [00:17:00] did he get to be the most outside of being shot? Like he's a very famous president for several reasons. So I would just wanna know the tone. I can't really explain it. I'd want to experience the tone and the climate. It's, and I wanna hear the reports. I want to know, and then I want, would wanna talk to the neighbors.
John: So what you're saying is you just want to just understand everything that encompasses the atmosphere from the event.
Lisa: Yep.
John: Okay. That's it? Yep. Okay.
That's a good, that's a, JFK is, and I bet you other people would probably pick JFK too.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: And want it to be there. That's
Lisa: the top one. It's not my only one though,
John: but, oh
Lisa: maybe not my top one, but the, maybe the most curious,
John: alright. I chose mine. [00:18:00]
Lisa: Okay.
John: This is another huge historical event. That sparks conspiracies still to this day?
I bet you can pick it out.
Lisa: Okay.
John: Still to this day, still sparks conspiracies around it.
Lisa: Aliens,
John: boom. Roswell crash, 1947. Gonna
Lisa: say that,
John: yes. That's where I would want to have been if I could go to the past.
Lisa: That's interesting. The
John: day of the crash. I would like to have seen the scene of where the thing crashed, the site the actual craft itself. If there was occupants in that crash, what they did with those occupants, what they did with the actual craft. If it was one recovered. And I would've [00:19:00] liked to been right there when Area 51 first started with this whole UFO thing.
Lisa: That's a good one.
John: Yes, because,
Lisa: but what would you do with that information?
John: So with that information, I would tell everybody. I know back then everybody would think you were a cuckoo kahoo if you told people that you saw blind saucers. The term flying saucer, predates Roswell. But I would've told people what I saw at that time, because I know what they did at first is they put out a news report that was a flying UFO that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico.
The military came, they got the craft. They did, whatever they did with the body the craft that they recovered, then they turn around and put out this thing saying it was just a weather [00:20:00] balloon. So the military put a spin on it to discredit it right off the bat. So if any witnesses were out there, they put it out first saying that, Hey, oh, it's our mistake.
Once we recovered everything we saw, it was just a weather balloon, that's all it was. So now they're gonna make me look like a fool because I'm telling people that.
Lisa: Exactly.
John: But
Lisa: they would say, they'll look at crazy John that's, he's in that old house just by himself, gone crazy.
John: And I don't know how I would prove it to people.
But think of it this way, if I would've, if I were to go back to Quantum Leap, if I were to leap in one of those soldiers' bodies back at that time, and I'm me, but in this soldier's body, and I said, oh my [00:21:00] God, this is a perfect opportunity. I would sneak in a camera in there to get evidence. I know the cameras aren't as, small as they are.
I
Lisa: was about to say, they're pretty, we can't do,
John: we can't do the cell phones and stuff like that, but I would've gotten some type of camera. I would've come back maybe at nighttime or something like that and I will, I would've taken pictures and put it out there to everybody.
Lisa: You probably would.
They, and they would discredit it. They would find a way to discredit you.
John: That's, they do that all the time, but they
Lisa: do.
John: But now you wouldn't want to save it. I would keep it saved, but like
Lisa: until like you're on your deathbed and then say,
John: Nope, I would put it out there. There. Tell yourself, because once this is back in 1947.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: So I would have. The negatives, I would have the printed [00:22:00] prints right of it. And once it's gone through, like once we get to 2025, if somebody re gets that and they look at the actual negatives and look at the print, they could tell you, no way, this is doctored. This is not fake. So they have technology to look at.
Especially film. You can't, it's not Photoshop.
Lisa: That's true.
John: You can't Photoshop. A negative. A negative is what is. You've taken it, you've captured That is on that negative. Yeah. And now you tell me that it's fake and it's inside this base. Guarantee they had, have pictures of inside that base without, yeah.
Spacecrafts in it so it would validate this is the place.
Lisa: Yep. [00:23:00]
John: So it would put everything together saying that, this, these are legitimate pictures.
Lisa: You would just create like people, like you and I just ever wondering and trying to debunk it. Because while we would have the proof, we don't have the proof.
John: If it were alien spacecraft from outer space UFO, we didn't have the technology back then,
To create these things.
Lisa: Yeah.
John: So we couldn't make a spacecraft look like, something futuristic because now think of what I watch all the time is outer limits. Do you see the aliens and the spacecrafts that they have on there?
Yes. There's no way, and you, I capture something real.
Lisa: People will, you don't know what happens when people see something that they can't believe. They're saying,
John: I, I know I wouldn't be here today because the men in black would've probably came and [00:24:00] got me already. They would've gotten
Lisa: you for sure,
John: I would've already stored this stuff for a, or give it to somebody.
Oh, I would've given it to a journalist or something like that. Or somebody get them in the family and taken
Lisa: to,
John: and no, but nobody would know who I would've given it to, and I would've put it in something to where it could be found by someone else to be passed on, to be found. Where the actual evidence that I've taken on these pictures was there
Lisa: maybe an a library, attic.
Attic, not attic, but attic.
John: Or I could have done, what they call those time capsule.
Lisa: Ooh, that'd been cool.
John: Put it in the ground and give it to somebody anonymous, anonymously and say, Hey, dig this up. In 50 years there's gonna be a prize in it.
Lisa: That's true. You could do it that way.
John: Yep. Yep. So
Lisa: you couldn't do a time capsule on your lawn because they would see fresh?
John: No, not, I wouldn't put it on my lawn. [00:25:00] Alright. Now, do you have anything else that you can add to this topic? Nope. If you have any conspiracies or anything like that, you can always email us or you can drop us a line in Facebook or Instagram, however you wanna communicate with
Lisa: us. Ticket Talk,
John: anything that you'd like.
If you have a story that you'd like to tell, you can always email us or you can be on the show to tell your own story. Until next time, guys. Peace.
Lisa: Bye
John: love and hair grease
Lisa: boo.

Lisa: boo.
