אודות פרק זה
In this episode of Frontline Updates, we examine Combat Briefing Number 2209, dated 22 September 2026, with Colonel A.C. Oguntoye. The briefing describes six groups of Russian forces conducting offensive actions. The NORTH Group tightened its encirclement and expanded the external control zone in Kharkov region. The CENTER Group completed an encirclement at Dobropolye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The EAST Group advanced into the depth of the enemy defence, while WEST, SOUTH, and DNEPR Groups improved their tactical positions. Across all sectors, Ukrainian losses exceeded 1,300 troops, one tank, 11 armoured fighting vehicles, 87 motor vehicles, nine field artillery guns, and eight electronic warfare stations. Operational-tactical aviation, attack drones, missile troops, and artillery struck logistics centres, UAV production workshops and components, and temporary deployment areas in 148 areas. Air defence systems shot down six guided aerial bombs, one HIMARS MLRS projectile, and 629 fixed-wing UAVs. The episode works through the geographic sectors, treats the aviation campaign as a campaign-shaping domain, and analyzes the cumulative degradation of Ukrainian sustainment, electronic protection, and Western-supplied armour.
