[BUSINESS DESIGN] [BURNOUT] [ENTREPRENEURSHIP]
[#50] In this episode of The Fearless Entrepreneurs Podcast, host Cindy Chang sits down with agency founder Britt [LAST NAME] to talk about building a successful business that supports your life instead of consuming it.
After experiencing burnout in the corporate world, Britt realized that the way she had been working was unsustainable. The problem went beyond workload. She was forcing herself to fit into an environment and professional identity that did not reflect who she was or how she worked best.
When she started her own agency, she made a different choice.
Britt designed the business around school pickup, gym time, meeting-free days, and Fridays off. Flexibility was built into the company from the beginning, allowing her to grow without sacrificing her health, family, or freedom along the way.
In this episode, Britt shares why efficiency often creates a better client experience than constant communication. Instead of filling calendars with unnecessary meetings, her agency uses scheduling links, dashboards, and concise email updates to remove friction and keep clients informed.
She also explains why pricing is about more than numbers.
While many agencies charge a percentage of their clients’ advertising spend, Britt uses a flat-fee model. This allows her to recommend increasing, reducing, or pausing a client’s budget without her own compensation influencing the advice.
Britt also discusses the importance of making expertise easy to understand. Great operators do not need to hide behind jargon, inflated resumes, or complicated explanations. They understand the work well enough to explain it clearly and help decision-makers act on it.
When it comes to hiring, Britt focuses on buying back time instead of simply filling seats. She would rather hire experienced specialists who can think independently, exercise good judgment, and solve problems than build a larger team that requires constant oversight.
From burnout and business architecture to pricing, hiring, client experience, and the power of asking directly for what you want, Britt’s story challenges many of the assumptions founders are taught to accept.
This episode is for agency owners, service-based entrepreneurs, working parents, business leaders, and anyone who wants to build a profitable company without becoming trapped inside it.
If you have ever wondered whether your business can grow while still protecting your time, energy, health, and relationships, Britt’s journey is proof that success can be designed differently.
👉 Tune in to learn how Britt built a leaner, more honest, and more sustainable agency—and why creating the life you want should be part of the business plan from day one.
