Everything Under the Sun | Jared Barnes, Town of Carbondale Planning Director

The tables are turned this week, as KDNK staff interviews the Sopris Sun editors, who are currently attending the annual Colorado Press Association Convention in Denver, where the local paper is up for 32 awards.

Skyler and Arthur speak with Megan Webber of Literacy Outreach, an English-language-learner tutoring program, about the organization’s extensive waitlist and need for volunteers. Tune in to Everything Under the Sun on KDNK.org every Thursday at 4pm.

The Sopris Sun speaks with Response Executive Director Shannon Meyer and moderator Alison Osius about an upcoming event with Lhakpa Sherpa, the women's world record holder for Mount Everest ascents and a survivor of domestic abuse, at Paepcke Auditorium on Aug. 13.
