Do you find yourself apologizing for what you don't know rather than confidently showcasing what you do? Tracy sits down with Jodie Kelley, CEO of the Electronic Transactions Association, who brings over 25 years of experience navigating leadership roles in male-dominated industries.
As women, we're often conditioned to focus on the boxes we don't tick instead of the ones we do. This unconscious pattern creates invisible barriers that hold us back more effectively than any glass ceiling.
In this revealing conversation, Jodie shares how her non-linear career path led to unexpected success and the crucial mindset shifts that separate those who break through from those who stay stuck. Her story proves that following what brings you joy can lead to more fulfillment than following a prescribed path.
In this episode, Tracy explores:- Why women apologize when men would simply showcase confidence
- How following your passion creates more authentic career success
- The unconscious biases affecting how female leaders are perceived
- Why being "relentlessly confident" is essential for women leaders
- How internal self-belief trumps external reception
"If you are doing your homework, really throwing yourself into your job in a positive way and delivering, that matters. And if you bring with it that confidence in yourself, there is definitely a path. It's not that there is no glass ceiling, but there is a way to get to where you want to be." ~ Jodie Kelley
