How are you using technology to rebuild human value?
In this episode, I sit down with Greg Ramsay, founder of Made It Legal and the architect behind Nelle, an AI-powered contracts platform designed to streamline the entire deal review process without removing the human judgment that matters most.
Greg’s path to entrepreneurship wasn’t linear—and that’s exactly what makes his story so compelling. At just 16, he was flying planes as an air cadet and had to land one solo, an experience that gave him a deep sense of confidence and calm under pressure. That same mindset carried him through a winding academic journey: from astrophysics, to political science, to law school, and eventually into the high-stakes world of corporate, technology, and privacy law.
After 17 years in legal environments where speed and precision collide, Greg saw a gap: legal teams were drowning in repetitive contract review work, slowing down business—not because they lacked expertise, but because they lacked tools built for how legal actually works.
So he built one.
Today, Made It Legal is the company behind Nelle, a purpose-built AI platform that helps in-house teams move at business speed while staying firmly in control. From custom legal playbooks to intelligent document screening and exception routing, Nelle ensures legal is never the bottleneck. Backed by Alberta Innovates and recognized as a Platform Calgary Top 10 Startup Finalist, Made It Legal is redefining how legal teams operate—without replacing the human expertise that makes them indispensable.
This conversation dives into confidence, curiosity, reinvention, and why the future of legal tech isn’t about removing humans—it’s about elevating them.
Because the best technology doesn’t replace human value. It amplifies it.
