אודות פרק זה
In this episode of Alive & Sober with Reno Collier, Reno is joined by Jon K, a recovering alcoholic, Christian, and leader in the Lincoln, Nebraska Reintegration Program (RIP), a prison ministry focused on helping incarcerated individuals reintegrate into society. Together, they dive deep into Step 12 of recovery—service—and explore how faith, authenticity, and community play vital roles in lasting sobriety.
Reno and Jon share honest stories about the challenges and rewards of service, from small acts like making coffee at meetings to leading prison ministries. They discuss the tension between ego and genuine service, the importance of showing up authentically, and how God’s calling often stretches us beyond our comfort zones. The conversation highlights how even the smallest gestures can make a profound difference in someone’s recovery journey, and how surrendering control to God brings freedom and purpose.
