Before ESPN… before sports highlights became fast-paced and personality-driven… Ted Dawson helped change the way TV sportscasters delivered the nightly sports coverage.
His legendary career took him from Los Angeles to Dallas, but it was during a decade at the ABC affiliate in L.A. where Ted found himself surrounded by Hollywood stars and sports legends on an almost daily basis.
The stories he can tell — and the names he can drop — are simply astounding.
Ted has the photos to prove it too… including a picture of him playing basketball with Hall of Famer Bill Russell in what turned out to be the final basketball game Russell ever played.
And then there’s the unbelievable story of the run-in Ted had with Sylvester Stallone while Stallone was working on the set of Rocky.
Don’t miss this incredible conversation on “This Just In” Podcast with Rich and Bryan.”
