TUNGKOL SA EPISODE NA ITO
Welcome to the Psychedelic Conversations Podcast!
Episode 167:
In this episode, we discuss Lou Dorian’s powerful personal journey into psychedelics, mental health, grief, and transformation. Lou shares how his early experiences with psychedelics in the 1990s, the loss of his father, difficult encounters with Western psychiatric care, and the tragic death of his former partner all shaped the work he does today. We explore the importance of mentorship, safety, emotional preparation, and integration when working with psychedelic medicines. Lou also speaks about creating Psychedelis, a platform designed to connect people with facilitators, products, education, and resources in a more responsible way. Together, we reflect on stigma, access, the war on drugs, mental health skill development, and the need for humility, care, and community within the psychedelic space.
About Lou:
Lou Dorian is the founder of Psychedelist, a platform created to connect people with psychedelic facilitators, education, products, resources, and community in a safer and more responsible way. His work is shaped by a deeply personal journey through trauma, grief, mental health challenges, early psychedelic experiences, and a long search for healing and meaning. Lou is also writing a memoir titled Lost in a Puddle, where he explores his life story alongside social commentary on mental health, psychedelics, and personal transformation. Through his work, Lou advocates for safe access, mentorship, integration, emotional skill development, and a more compassionate approach to people navigating psychedelic experiences. His mission is to help create a more informed, ethical, and accessible psychedelic space.
