Key Points
- Rad Studio incorporates both human design and AI technology to reconstruct and streamline the design process.
- AI can help proliferate good design by reducing costs and making design more accessible. However, it shouldn't be used to simply generate mediocre, cookie-cutter designs.
- Good branding evokes emotion, nostalgia, a sense of belonging. It connects deeply to the human soul.
- AI allows designers like Anne to iterate faster, but it must be consciously integrated into the design process itself. AI is not just a singular tool, but a suite of integrated technologies and specialists.
- Tech-enabled design services represent a new model - neither a traditional design firm nor a software product. It networks human experts to provide the right guidance at the right time across multiple projects.
- Relationship-driven sales and trust are still crucial, even in tech-enabled services. Mass, impersonal sales don't work for bespoke design.
- Selling design is about education, framing it as a journey rather than a one-off product. Pricing should be flexible to suit the client's needs and stage.
- Design should aim to evoke emotion, not pursue perfection. It is an expression, not a solution to all problems. Change is inherent to humanity.
