TUNGKOL SA EPISODE NA ITO
Hi everyone to a new episode of ESOA Podcast,
and this time – I should mention this right away – we’re venturing into territory beyond 160 BPM.
It’s Gabba time again. I reckon most of our older listeners first came across these hard styles back in the 90s – Hardcore and Gabba. And I think this style also has its place as a branch on our Electronic Music Tree.
For this episode, I found two dear old friends who’ve agreed to put together a nice, hard-hitting set for us. Robert and Jan, aka The Gnat & Mad_line, are from Chemnitz. They’ve known each other since school days and gained their first musical experience at the former Kunstfabrik in Glösa.
A memorable place where so many Chemnitz artists laid their foundations in the 90s.
Having previously started out as solo artists – Robert, for example, under the name Violation –
they have been performing together since 1999, beginning at their home venue, Club Achtermai in Chemnitz.
Over the years, they have also played at venues such as Triebwerk in Dresden, Sky Club in Leipzig, Ndorphin Chemnitz or Tresor in Berlin.
Their own productions and releases can be found under names such as Dropping Bomps, Hunted Souls or Never Burn Out on Hardrive Records.
For all those who like this sound, enjoy the next two hours; to everyone else, we say: do give it a respectful listen.
Here, exclusively for you The Gnat & Mad_line on ESOA Podcast 096.

Hello friends, and a peaceful and healthy New Year to you all.
A new year is beginning, but we are continuing as usual. High quality, each and every artist anew. Always with an eye on the subculture, without any Tam Tam.
This is also true of my guest today, Edmund Telasco, better known to many as …
Hello friends,
Welcome back to the monthly electronic music podcast – ESOA Podcast.
Once again, we have a very special guest, in my opinion.
He lives in Minsk, Belarus.
He is a producer, live act and DJ, and his style is in the dub and dub techno genre.
His name is Alexander Bogdanov.
He has rele…
Good evening dear friends of electronic music.
My guest today looks back to 1989, when he and his brother created mixtapes in a style mix between rap and acid house, featuring artists such as Bomp the Bass, Adonis, Public Enemy and Ice T. But he was and still is no stranger to punk either.
In 1993…
ESOA Podcast Number 90 Welcome to this.
For friends of powerful techno sounds, spot on.
My guest on today's episode is Au Revoir.
Raised in the south of France, he now lives in Berlin.
He either improvises powerful live sets with his drum machines and modular synthesizers
or plays energetic selec…
Another episode of ESOA Podcast this week, so welcome.
Just like life and the whole world, things are once again straightforward,
technoid and impulsive.
My guest in this episode is once again from London.
His name is Sagaz and his sound is clearly forward-thinking, raw techno at its finest.
He se…
