What if awakening does not mean life gets easier, but that you finally see it differently? On Cosmic Confluence, host Sumedha talks with Cindy Shaw, founder of The Awakened Journey, about what really happens beneath a spiritual awakening.
You will learn Cindy's backpack metaphor for the beliefs we carry from childhood, and a simple practice for meeting overwhelming emotion instead of reacting to it.
About the Guest:
Cindy Shaw is the founder of The Awakened Journey, where she guides women through plant medicine retreats, brain health coaching, and somatic healing work. Her own awakening reshaped how she works with grief, trauma, and limiting beliefs.
Key Takeaways:
- Awakening does not remove life's challenges. It changes the lens you see them through.
- From birth to about age seven, we absorb beliefs we cannot filter, and they shape us for decades.
- When something upsets you, pause and ask what it is touching inside you, not just what the other person did.
- Healing happens in the body, not only the mind. The body remembers what the mind forgets.
- Try the being process: name the emotion, welcome it as innocent energy, and invite it back into balance.
