TUNGKOL SA EPISODE NA ITO
A short trauma-informed talk about emotional flashbacks — and specifically about the kind almost nobody recognises as a flashback. Most people think ‘flashback’ means the cinematic version: pictures, a scene replaying, being visibly back there. That is one kind. It is not the kind most people actually get. The other kind has NO visual content whatsoever — you simply, suddenly, feel small, ashamed, terrified, or certain that something is very wrong and it is your fault. No image. Nothing to point at. The clinician Pete Walker named this an EMOTIONAL FLASHBACK, and it is a core feature of complex PTSD.
A flashback does not have to have pictures in it. It only has to bring the past into the present body.
