What does your family learn about Jesus by watching you?
In this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, host Pete Alwinson and producer Zach Swee welcome Scott Basham, a FORGE team leader, longtime Bible teacher, and author of Defining Christianity. Drawing on 45 years of marriage and decades of teaching Scripture, Scott shares practical ways to become a man whose faith shapes his everyday relationships.
Together, they explore how to pursue holiness without giving up when you fail, stop comparing yourself to other men, and put the love described in 1 Corinthians 13 into practice. Scott offers a simple question for navigating marital conflict, an approach to helping children become problem solvers, and a memorable way to remember God’s faithfulness when He seems silent.
They also discuss receiving correction, addressing weaknesses through Scripture, and turning good intentions into action through a daily appointment with God and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
If you want to grow as a husband, father, and follower of Jesus, this conversation will give you specific places to start.
