TIETOJA TÄSTÄ JAKSOSTA
Happy Holidays from the Socially Distanced Podcast! And oh my, do we ever have a present for you this episode.
Amanda Rivas is in the host seat this week for an all-star, in-depth review of Netflix's smash-hit Christmas rom-com, Hot Frosty. The film stars Christmas movie staple and Mean Girls legend Lacey Chabert, Dustin Milligan (Schitt's Creek), Craig Robinson (The Office), Joe LoTruglio (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Katy Mixon (Mike & Molly), and Lauren Holly (Dumb & Dumber). It's a tale about a widow (Chabert) who puts a scarf on a male model-esque snowman. The snowman (Milligan) comes to life, he falls for the widow, everyone in town is horny for the snowman and Christmas!
Yes, and that's only scratching the surface of how wild this film is. Amanda is joined in this holiday adventure by her usual co-host Bill Bodkin (whose soul broke during the show), Pop Break's Podcast Director Alex Marcus (making his return to the show since August), Michelle Chapman of Roses & Rejections, Allie Nelson of Not Couple Goals, and Amanda's sister Vanessa Gonzales.
In the episode, they discuss the insane tonal shifts, how horny yet chaste the film is, why half of the film doesn't make sense but somehow is a fairly competent film, will Hot Frosty make their Christmas movie rotation and more.
In the pre-game segment they discuss the news that there will a big screen Bluey film and wonder if this is the end for the popular children's show.
