TIETOJA TÄSTÄ JAKSOSTA
Alien 3 was grimy. Predator 2 was sweaty. Our triple-feature finale takes both franchises beneath the Antarctic ice for Alien vs. Predator.
Critics gave the 2004 crossover 21%; audiences gave it 39%. It also opened at number one.
Stan Steamer and GrobeStreet ask whether this is the “sour footnote” reviewers described—or a movie that gave fans exactly what they came to see.
The first half is spoiler-free: we set up the Antarctic expedition and make the case for the physical sets, miniatures, Sanaa Lathan’s Lex, Lance Henriksen’s Weyland, and the glorious collision of two franchise title fonts. Watch the movie, then return for our BOLOs, favorite-moment Draft, icy drink pairings, and unanimous favorite fight.
We also debate an R-rated version, pitch spin-offs, and raise a serious concern about Predator fingers.
Finish the trilogy with us. Next up, by fan request: Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Cyborg.
