On this roundtable episode of Producer Points, we’re diving into one of the most asked (and misunderstood) topics in the industry: how do producers actually get discovered today?
In 2025, A&Rs aren’t digging through SoundCloud — they’re watching reels, scanning analytics, and scouting self-released music. So where should producers focus their energy if they want to break through?

🔹 Alina Smith – One half of LYRE Music Group, with credits for ITZY, Red Velvet, and Betty Who. Alina built a global career through writing, branding, and leveraging social content.
🔹 Stephen Conley – Gold-certified producer, songwriter, and mixer with credits including Benson Boone and GAYLE. Known for combining emotional clarity with technical excellence.
