Welcome of Nothing is KIMpossible podcast! In this inspiring episode titled Finding Light in Darkness: Casey’s Journey of Faith and Recovery, host Kimberly Lee sits down with Casey Wortman, a resilient woman whose powerful journey of faith, recovery, and transformation offers hope to listeners from all walks of life. Casey opens up about her tumultuous past, starting with the loss of her father at age 11, which precipitated a life of rebellion, addiction, and early substance abuse.
With striking vulnerability, Casey shares how years of darkness and repeated incarcerations led her to a turning point, catalyzed by a devastating car wreck and the loss of her mother. However, through faith-based rehabilitation and unwavering community support, Casey found redemption, healing, and a renewed purpose. Today, she's not only a devoted wife and mother but also an inspiring leader within her church and an aspiring counselor for adolescents.
Listen in as Casey delves into the significance of sharing personal stories, the profound alignment between scientific findings and Biblical teachings, and her journey to homeownership, a milestone she once thought unattainable. Discover how worship music, particularly "Let It Echo" by Jesus Culture and "Gratitude" by Brandon Lake, plays a pivotal role in her ongoing faith journey, and why she believes anxiety and gratitude cannot coexist.
This episode is a testament to God’s faithfulness and love. Join Casey and Kimberly as they explore themes of perseverance, grace, and the unyielding hope that shines through even the darkest of times.
Casey's story is a powerful reminder that Nothing is impossible with God.
