Ivan Kharchenkov Scouting Report: Arizona’s Defensive Glue Forward, NBA Draft Comps to Jae Crowder, Shane Battier, and OG Anunoby

Arizona sophomore forward Ivan Kharchenkov is one of the most interesting two-way wings in college basketball, and on this episode of Locked On NBA Draft we break down his game. The 6'7" forward from Munich, Germany, came to Tucson from Bayern Munich’s senior team, started all 39 games as a freshman, and helped Arizona reach the Final Four with his perimeter defense and steal production.

We dig into his offense, his defense, and what he needs to show this season. We also get into NBA comparisons to Jae Crowder, Shane Battier, and OG Anunoby. Which one does he look like most? How much of his value comes from defense and playmaking, and how much does the three-point shot need to improve for him to be a legitimate NBA wing? We also talk about where he could land on draft boards.

Subscribe to Locked On NBA Draft for daily prospect breakdowns, scouting reports, and draft coverage from the No Ceilings team.

I spelled his name Kharchenkov, as Arizona’s roster does. I left out a draft year because sources disagree on his eligibility, so add one if you covered it on the pod.
