Hello Exam Seekers,

Today's post focuses on something that most people - and even teachers - take for granted: PRONUNCIATION!

People tend to think that teaching pronunciation is the easiest thing to do. After all, it is not neglected since you always write the words that the students spell incorrectly on the side and spare some minutes of your lesson to correct their pronunciation, right? Are you sure that this is teaching pronunciation?

Books to help you with pronunciation: English Pronunciation in Use by CUP. Introducing English Pronunciation: A Teacher's Guide to Tree or Three? and Ship or Sheep? by Ann Baker. Jazz Chants(r): Student Book by Carolyn Graham. English Pronunciation Illustrated by John Trim. English pronunciation for Brazilians: The Sounds of American English by Sonia Godoy, Cris Gontow, and Marcello Marcelino.
