TIETOJA TÄSTÄ JAKSOSTA
In this episode of the Different podcast, Jill Rowe talks with Steve Chalke about some major misconceptions. It all starts with an experience walking down Oxford Street and being left with a multitude of questions.
They dive into words like repent and sinner and what they meant at the time of Jesus in 1st century Palestine. They talk about the courage to think differently and to challenge our assumptions, and they go on to explore how those with power can use narratives to control.
They even try to unpack the influence of the Mediaeval Church and a novel by Dante that have shaped so much understanding and theology today. This is a big conversation that covers some big ideas that we believe we must wrestle with and when we do, it literally changes everything.
