TIETOJA TÄSTÄ JAKSOSTA
Eddy King is in town (San Diego), and he and his mom dropped by for a catch-up. We hit the record button on the podcast as well.
We talk about San Diego’s deep history in BMX, some of the early tracks from the 70s, and the current San Diego BMX Track (run by Tyler Brown and his wife), which is one of the longest-running tracks in the U.S.—possibly the longest in history.
We also talk about Hall of Fames popping up around the country and ask: why don’t they have one in San Diego or So-Cal?
Other topics include Dirty Fest, the Oakley 50th Anniversary Party that Ebby attended, the NBA Awards, and the upcoming 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles—how it could be the perfect time for BMX history to shine with a side event, museum, or exhibition running alongside the Olympic BMX events.
We also touch on Harry Leary, some Kellogg’s talk, and more. Check it out!
