Email us at bitcoinreformationpodcast@gmail.comBen rejoins David and Jared on the Bitcoin podcast as they share family updates, travel, and ministry work, then pivot to how the Federal Reserve’s rate decision creates a dilemma: hiking rates risks recession, higher mortgage costs, falling asset prices, and exploding government interest payments, while cutting rates risks reigniting inflation, weakening the dollar, and punishing savers. They argue the U.S. government faces a fiscal trilemma—cut spending, raise taxes, or print money—saying political incentives make printing the easiest path, with war discussed as another way governments try to defend monetary systems like the petrodollar. They contrast this with Bitcoin’s “boring” reliability, its design tradeoffs (decentralization, security, scalability), debate around BIP-110, and Satoshi’s fixed-supply approach, ending with reflections on freedom, power, and the gospel.09:42 Today’s Topic Dilemma Framework13:21 Fed Rate Hike Risks17:00 Rate Cuts and Inflation Tradeoffs18:41 Intervention Spiral and Bitcoin Contrast27:24 Hamilton vs Jefferson on Central Banking29:24 Bitcoin BIP Debates Begin31:55 BIP110 And Spam Debate34:34 Unintended Consequences Argument35:49 How Bitcoin Changes Happen37:17 Government Fiscal Trilemma38:18 Why Cutting Spending Fails45:38 Debt Acceleration And War Option48:19 Satoshis Crypto Trilemma51:41 Why Small Blocks Matter54:52 Fixed Supply No Levers01:02:48 Faith Alone ClosingThe Bitcoin Reformation Podcast and all related content, including but not limited to audio recordings, social media posts, show notes, and supplementary materials, are produced for general informational and educational purposes only.
