Powerful Prayers | S9E2 Beyond The Weekend Podcast
What does it look like to pour out your heart to God when life feels painful, confusing, or deeply disappointing? In week two of our Powerful Prayers series, Stephen Lewis, Amelia Rhodes, and Pastor Aaron Buer unpack Hannah’s raw and honest prayer in 1 Samuel 2, explore why emotional honesty with God is a mark of spiritual maturity, trace the thread of God’s attentiveness from Hagar to Hannah to Mary, and reflect on the “great reversals” that happen when brokenness is surrendered to Jesus. Plus, the team talks about lament, worship in suffering, surrender, baptism, and why the stories of our pain often become the clearest places we point people to Christ. Join the team for Season 9 Episode 2!
